Hi fellow bears.
Having a wee drink tonight and sitting reflecting on all that has gone on these last few years and feeling very emotional.People ask me how can I be so passionate about a football club, and I tell them to wear a Rangers scarf for a day and then they will see why.The four lads who started the dream, Bill struth, Willie Waddell, Jim Baxter, Jock Wallace, Davie Cooper, Sandy Jardine and the many many others all true blues, I hope your all looking down today and have a wee smile on your faces, Your memory will live on, and so will your beloved club Glasgow Rangers.

To the people who didn't stand the that of Dave winning, u lost,! The gers won!

Great post mate, totally agree with everything you said, some people just don't understand what glasgow rangers means to us true blues, to support the most successful & greatest football club in the world ie.the famous glasgow rangers is a way of life passed through you're family, my late dad passed it on to me and I've been in love with the teddy bears from birth, god rest his soul!

Paul Murray has been there since the liquidation trying to get the club on the correct footing and he has to be applauded more than anyone for his determination.
We also have to be thankful to Dave king and the three bears and most importantly all the fans who believed we could beat the shysters who were using our club as easy money based on all our loyalty.
The most important thing we need to get back, more than beating celtic, is the clubs integrity and honesty which has been severely lacking since SDM lead us into the precarious state we are in now.
The most important thing for our club is to regain our standing and integrity more than any championship we have ever won as that is who we are and who rangers are, unfortunately this has been lost over the last few years because of the conmen who blead our club for every penny they could.
But now is the time to be positive. It will take time and pain but at least we have the right men to lead us now.
Thank you Dave king and the three bears but most importantly thank you to everyone of the fans who bought shares, stopped buying merchandise form sports direct and stood up for OUR GREAT CLUB

Gents, I totlally agree with the above posts. This club be is not what some people choose to follow but are born into and was close to being dragged to hell for good, as the new board rightly pointed out. I have been very fortunate to site with my parents in the Broomloan rd growing up, friends in the enclosure and my own family in the Copland rd. This can now continue for everyone who is a part of this great club.

Rangers now and Rangers forever.

Stuart McCall for the next manager, done well at mothetwell, coaching with Scotland and won't cost a penny in compensation. What you all think?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

06 Mar 2015 23:24:07
Can't disagree with McCall as next manager, however, I would certainly like to see McInness included in the short list as he is doing well up at Aberdeen and has a good tactical football brain, something we have lacked for a few seasons now. unfortunately.

06 Mar 2015 23:47:16
Stuart mccall is a decent coach jason but wouldn't be in my top 3, although if mccall got the nod to be our next manager I'd back him 100%, my top 3 choices to be the next rangers manager would be-1.billy davies 2.ian cathro and 3.derek mcinnes, that's my honest opinion mate, that's what's great about this facility for us blue noses', it let's us all make our different opinions and that's what it's all about

Dont think we will see any of the three mentioned, foreign root I think after Mr king said we have to go "a coach not a manager"

Time to sit back boys and leave the policy decisions up to Mr. King. In our current situation, we must trust him to take us forward as he sees fit. Time for us to start looking at the team on the park and not how it is put there.
Starting tomorrow, let's see how the team reacts and watch Kenny McDowall in action. Depending on the result and the board's reaction, we act accordingly. At the moment we must walk before we run.

06 Mar 2015 22:17:07
Good shout jason brown, no harm in suggesting good ideas to make money for our club, the new board said as much as fan engagement & ideas are important to them, I would be totally up for a fan membership fee, I'm already of many years a season ticket holder, shareholder, rst community shareholder & lifetime member so paying into a fan membership scheme would be no problem, again a good suggestion jason!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 22:39:21
I believe that is the p!an, fan ownership with a leading team of 34, and my idea of asking fans who are unemployed, or have time on their hands!and skills, or simply are just grafters, to offer their services to repair Ibrox at no cost. I'm sure Dave king and the board would make sure these people would be rewarded in the long term, and the pride in doing sum thing to help rebuild Rangers would be huge,

Believable2 Unbelievable1

06 Mar 2015 20:13:58
Mark wotte was only down here at the Saints for a year between 2008 and 2009 and Southampton always had one of the best youth setups over the past four decades so can't really say what he actually contributed to a club just heading into administration that aside his credentials do stack up mate

I hope ally does the right thing now and quit his post and not look for any pay off, time to get a bit of respect back. I think we are right in taking time to appoint new manager/coach as we must get it right this time and as King and co say us the fans must now get behind the team and get Ibrox bouncing again from now till the end of the season. I think everyone knows there are players there now that don't deserve to wear our famous jersey but let's get off there backs and support them from now till the end of the season and if we get promotion fair enough if not another year in the championship might benefit us with new players and a new coach to settle in and at least now everyone is going in the same direction onward and upwards. just been looking at a few post about mccoist coming back as manager till the end of the season, for me I hope this doesn't happen he was a great player but he is never a manager just look at some of the players he has brought in and the amount of money he was on

Believable2 Unbelievable0

06 Mar 2015 17:33:12
i think wee can safely say mccoist will not be back as manager mr king is a rangers man and most importanly a good buisness man and bringing back ally won't put bums on seats only chase them away 100% he won't be back

Because rats and rogue businessmen tried to wrap our club in so much red tape, it took very shrewd actions by our own people, u must remember, they were only selling to each other from day one, when the rat Murray handed our club over, the good guys cuudn't buy because they didn't get a chance, without filling the pockets of dogs,

The one main thing I picked up from the news conference today was that everyone seems to be singing from the same hymn sheet. A full house at Ibrox from now 'til the end of the season, that'll give the players a massive boost. C'mon the Bears.

06 Mar 2015 16:22:16
A lot to take in and mull over after the speech from DK.

One thing I heard immediately was that he does not want a 'manager', but instead would like to see a coach installed. One who has a track record with youth development.

Anyone(s) spring to mind?

Cathro?

Davies?

McInnes?

Long live the King!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

06 Mar 2015 17:38:46
First choice for me would be Derek McInnes, but I don't see him leaving Aberdeen anytime soon.

Ian Cathro is an interesting one. I don't know much about him but anyone with a coaching/youth development background, who has had an education in the top tiers of Portuguese and Spanish football so early in their career, would excite me. He will have picked up very good habits on the continent, most likely based around a technical game, which appeals to me as a football purist. My concern would be the fact that he is inexperienced A) in general & B) as a number one, rather than an assistant. It would be a brave appointment, Rangers is a constant, high pressure job so he would be thrown in at the deep end. However nothing can prepare anyone for the top job at a club like ours, no matter experience level, so it could be a risk worth taking.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 17:50:57
The reason I put in Cathro is that he is constantly being connected to Rangers, so there must be something in it. Also, we would have heard I presume if he was not interested, via the media, the celtic view etc., and of course he is Scottish, so he is aware of the Scottish game and the rivalry?

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 19:01:32
Royal blue you know my choice as the next rangers manager/head coach, billy davies is exactly what dave king is looking for because he can do the lot ie.coach & improve players, can manage, tactically sound, can rebuild a full club never mind just a team, billy davies is an outstanding coach and a lot of top manager's have said as much ie.sir alex ferguson, walter smith etc, my 2nd choice would be ian cathro and 3rd choice would be derek mcinnes that's my opinion and I'm standing by it mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 19:54:15
One name not mentioned is Felix Magrath coached at stuttgart and Bayern proxied shares to the trust and said he would not rule out job at Rangers maybe a an outsider but an interesting one, why he purchased shares in the first place.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 20:35:59
jr billy davis is not good enough to be rangers manager look at his wins to amount of games played not good enough nor is he morraly good enough I posted yesterday about darren ferguson today I have a story from america kenny dalgleish will be involved with decisions on players coming in

Agree1 Disagree1

06 Mar 2015 22:29:43
What about darren ferguson big wull, you're telling me billy davies isn't good enough to be rangers manager which I totally disagree with and that's my opinion and if you're telling me that darren ferguson is a potential better candidate to be the next rangers manager before billy davies then I fear for you're judgement mate, and what about kenny dalglish explain yourself in a little more depth mate, you're very sporadic in your comments!

Just watched the interview with DK at the back doors of the Govan stand. I went over to Ibrox today and sat opposite the main doors in my car and reflected about all the fantastic times I have had with my brother, my best mate and my uncle who is no longer with us. I couldn't help but think I want to back again and as from today we have good people in charge at Ibrox.
I was a bit emotional thinking of all the fantastic times and it seems such a long time ago. Looking forward to better times ahead. The interview with DK was very good and showed a level of respect and dignity that we need at Ranger.

Happy day ahead, difficult times as well but we have a chance with people who want Rangers succeed.

Lets get all the Rats paid what they are due and get them out of our club for good. let's get out of the Sponge Direct contract for the Rangers goods. I could never understand sub-contracting out our merchandise. let's get a deal with a good retailer by all means. But the Rangers shop should be run so maximum profit is returned to the club.

06 Mar 2015 23:31:46
The people outside Ibrox when Dave, Paul and John came out hardly allowed the guy time to speak, we asked for dignity, they were screaming like banshees evert time the man tried to speak, obviously didn't have work to go to, they should have gave the men time to speak, there was a time when they looked embarrassed, I understand we have been thru a lot, but screaming is not doing a lot for our character on sky news,

First time poster, long time reader. I figured what better time to contribute than now!

I'm absolutely delighted by today's news, I sat in front of the TV watching the initial result come in with tears in my eyes.

I thought Dave King spoke very well in the press conference, he was open and convincing in all of his answers. I particularly liked what he said regarding the long-term leader of the first team. I 100% agree that we are in need of a head coach who can develop players & build a team from the ground up based on his own principles, as opposed to a stereotypical "man manager" type. How good it feels to be talking about football issues!

DK has stepped up and helped us, along with his associates, but finally we have also helped ourselves. It's taken far too long, but we finally have like-minded people taking our club in a specific direction, which is all we can ask at this stage. It won't be easy, but we will get to where we need to and deserve to be.

I thoroughly believe we are on the right track now. Enjoy the ride bears.

Come on the Rangers!

After listening to dave king, paul murray & john gilligan in their press conference its clear by what they said when asked about when the new rangers manager would be appointed that they are most definitely going to take their time and an appointment king said would probably not be made until the season has finished in

Believable5 Unbelievable0

06 Mar 2015 15:34:10
I fear Mr King is going to ask McCoist back until the end of the season to finish the job he started. what's the thoughts on this?

I for one am completely against this, however trust Mr King and his associates judgement on the matter. I can see how his return would be viewed by the players. but the guy has limited skills in the managerial sense. Thoughts?

DK: "Always a place for Ally McCoist at the club." However, there will be discussions with both the manager - who is still on gardening leave - and interim boss Kenny McDowall.

No chance, King should know it was the football that kept the fans away almost as much as the board. There's always a groundsman position open for him, I hope King means that.

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 16:07:47
What do you mean you trust there judgement on mccoist! The majority of fans wanted mccoist out that hasn't changed just because dave king might bring him back, there is no place for him on football side of the club,

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 16:10:20
Hmmmm I dunno. That seems like a very strange statement to come out with? If they are not going to be hurried into choosing and appointing a new couch until the end of the season, I can see Mr King asking McCoist back and asking McDowell to stay on, finish what you started and leave at the end of the season.

Mr King stated in his press conference "If we go up this season, we go up, if we don't, we don't!" That statement alone is telling. Can only hope not.

Anyway its a great day and no point in worrying, the worst is over and whatever happens from now on, it will at least be being actioned by people acting in the best interests of the club.

I don't want him back either mate. It was beyond dross when he was there and McDowall still continues with the same brand of dross!

He had a real gaul even showing up there today! A brass neck as wide as the clyde.

What was meant by Mr Kings judgement was. the guy has just saved us, i'm extremely happy about that and prepared to just let him get on with it. I think re-appointing McCoist would not send out the right signals to the fans but if that's what he choses to do then so be it!

Not a chance of Super Ally being asked to take the reins again.

Be as well giving up on going up through the playoffs if that was to happen and it would not get the amount of bums on seats that the new board require.

Don't want Ally anywhere near the team and can't believe the reception he got today from the fans. This man is as culpable as anyone for the mess of the club and is clueless when it's comes to managing the team. Both him and McDowall need to be nowhere the team if we are to get out of the division. It would be a major mistake to keep McDowall on as manager

53% of the total shareholding, only 85% of the ones who voted, so it's pretty much 50-50. Easedale abstaining because he's angling for a deal.

George, as long as your type of Ranger is alive, we will always be here to call you on your crap.

King is not going to put 20 million in, he's going to ask the FANS to put 20 million in.

Douglas park has now also been appointed as a rangers director, fellow bears let us all now engage together and get glasgow rangers the greatest institutional football club in the world back to the pinnacle of scottish football where we truly belong, what a result and so very proud to be a blue nose, watp, a message to all of scottish football 'we're coming', I attend all rangers games anyway and have done for around 40 years and I hope we all pack ibrox out for every game now, I'm ecstatic, over the moon, rangers 'till I die!

8ts a wonderful day for all rangers fans, now we have men who, even if they can't quite take us to higher ground, we know they will always do what is best for our club, I believe they will take us much higher, and Mr King and co have stated they are in shock at the state of the actual stadium, here's a thought Dave, many thousands of gets fans are unemployed, some are skilled tradesmen, some good grafters, ask for voluntary help, say at note or Sundays for free labour, food n drinks free, and offer these guys tickets or visits to the stadium, we could work together and redo our home easily, and the guys could take pride in what they did for Rangers,, what you think of that thought ed, guys, and god bless you Dave,

The good guys won m8, I have a liking for Arsenal and of course Rangers and Arsenal have long and lasting friendship, I don't know if ure aware but Rangers were given around 200 shares in Arsenal many years ago when Rangers helped Arsenal who were in financial trouble, the rat who stole our club sold those shares That Rangers had kept in their blue room under lock and key for a long time, I it was part of both our heritages, he had them copied then sold the real shares for around 200grand, and kept the cash, it would be lovely to see Rangers have those shares back, unlikely I know, but it is one of the emotional aspects that the rats didn't care about

Loony goon, good luck to the arsenal mate, hope you have a very successful season, everything tommy 51 says about the rangers/arsenal friendship and the shares we were gifted by then arsenal manager herbert chapman is bang on the money, go on glasgow rangers & the gunners of course, my late gran was a 2nd cousin of wullie waddell and my gran always told me that rangers & arsenal were very friendly in those days and used to play arsenal every year ie.ibrox & highbury in alternative years waddell also had a massive soft spot for the arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 17:17:30
I'm well aware of the shares that were gifted as my old man is a Rangers man. I have a soft spot for Rangers as I know about the history of your great club and keep an eye out for your results. Personally, I think what has went on is a disgrace and I'm glad the fans have got their wishes. I don't think that those in charge for the past couple of years understand just how big Rangers are, and what it means to fans. All the best guys, and onwards and upwards from now on for your club.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

06 Mar 2015 12:29:37
Im not glad at all to see him there. He identified the players bought up until now and was given ample funds to get Rangers back into the top flight. We've seen the worst fitness, the worst team and the worst football in the long history of Rangers FC. By turning up today he is trying to put all of the blame (playing side also) onto the outgoing board. He was given plenty. HE WAS PART OF THE PROBLEM. AND FOR A LONG TIME.

Nice PR exercise there Ally!

Your the embarrassment pal. one with a very short memory. Football player and manager are different thing altogether and he was the worst manager in our long history.

Going by your logic let's apply that to someone like Hitler. "oh the guy tried but failed. ooh well all is forgiven" "If he had the choice i'm sure he would have chosen to be good!".

Being good isn't like flicking a switch, its about strategy and decision making. All of those bad decisions he made contributed to him being terrible. not even bad.

It is time to stop criticising King and any others have stood up and let themselves be counted and are prepared to boot out Ashley's henchmen. I can't help feeling that the great boost the change will give to the club as a whole will spill over onto the park and with a new coach in asap, we can at least guarantee second place this season. It is good to see one of our senior players [ Nicky Law.] giving an opinion on our current situation and not leaving a youngster [ Aird.] exposed to the media. Whether you agree with him [personaly I do.] or not, at least he states his case. I just wonder why Lee McCulloch doesn't have more to say on behalf of the players. I don't, normally, take this stance but due to our unique situation I just feel we must unite behind Dave King to see us stabilise our dire situation.

I think he's right in saying, it's gonnae take a few years to get anywhere near where we were a few years ago.
