The youth team is starting to click. and with the consistency in FORMATION and PHILOSOPHY, they will be able to take the step up when needed.

07 Dec 2016 19:57:43
hi fellow bears
a good result for the boys tonight 3-0 at home to dundee that's more like it delighted for them wish rangers would put up more on their pages about them though e. g twitter or something i could only find it on the dundee twitter page?

07 Dec 2016 20:48:27
I agree, I like hearing about the youth team but sometimes struggle to find how the game went and who scored. I'd like to have all the stats.

07 Dec 2016 12:47:43
Could Sumone please tell me if rangers own the mega store at ibrox? Or is it sports direct? If it is the latter why does itvstill say rangers mega store? Many thanks fellow bears.

07 Dec 2016 13:16:31
Rangers Retail own it. They rent it to SD for £1. Rangers Retail is in my opinion an off branch of Sports Direct.

07 Dec 2016 13:46:59
Thank you onlyshowaround.

07 Dec 2016 15:00:08
100% of the merchandise is Sports Direct. Don't go near it.

07 Dec 2016 18:25:18
Can rangers not just liquidate rangers retail to get rid of cashley.

07 Dec 2016 18:34:44
That's your lots answer for everything 😂😂.

07 Dec 2016 18:44:03
Rangers have no control over Rangers Retail, and there are discrepancies on share issues. It is a total mess.

07 Dec 2016 19:36:09
retail store is part of ibrox retail company rent it then rent to sports direct.

08 Dec 2016 12:53:48
they own the rights to the "Rangers megastore" name I assume and that's why but it's just a sports direct shop that specifically sells Rangers items, it's a con do not shop there.

08 Dec 2016 13:14:15
From my understanding Sports Direct just lease it from Rangers, which would imply it is still owned by Rangers.

08 Dec 2016 16:10:07
While we're on the subject of rangers retail and rangers merchandise, does anyone remember, what date our court hearing is, regarding the continual retail fight, between dave king and mike ashley? I know the court ruling is sometime this month!

07 Dec 2016 12:07:10
As we have pretty much no money, but are demanding that the club goes out and buys a goal scoring midfielder or a new defense or a striker that can actually score. I would like to take a moment and point a few small pointers out. Warbs is supposed to be changing the Youth set up. the same youth team that tore apart Hearts 5-2 the other wee. There was one young attacking midfielder who scored from 40yards and a striker who took the match ball home with him. If we are supposed to be living within our means and developing these young wee players, surely it is about time to see wee Liam burt and Ryan Hardie in the starting XI?

07 Dec 2016 12:55:11
But are they ready for the jump up to the first team? Burt is only 17, you'll see him a lot more next season. Warbs does rate him highly. Hardie on the other hand, well I've never seen enough of him. I'd wait it out and see how he does on the rest of his loan before commenting to much about him.

07 Dec 2016 14:05:56
Teddyof the south. when did the youths beat hearts 5-2? I can't find it anywhere. i only see the 2-1 victory of two weeks ago.

07 Dec 2016 14:25:44
Im not 100% convinced being at st mirren is doing anyone any good they're hopeless rather they were with an other side who are winning some games even if it was top half of league one.

07 Dec 2016 14:28:47
Johnny G they done it on Monday.

07 Dec 2016 15:18:25
Im sure it was burt that scored it, have a look on twitter sure its on there.

07 Dec 2016 15:45:39
Hurt scored 2 and hardie got a hat trick, that was after going down 1-0 early on in the match, I think that's them putting a few win together now.

07 Dec 2016 15:58:41
The youths that are highly regarded train with the first team when they can. Flinging them straight into starting XI would be foolish and would hinder their career more than progress it. They have to develop physically.

07 Dec 2016 20:35:24
Scotty I do not think putting the youth players in the team would hinder them it is only going to wonders for there development going to teams that are not playing well is going to harm there development
These two Pacific players are more than good enough to be in the team why at rangers does it take us so long to give youth players game time down England the motta seems to be if there good enough it doesn't matter about there age they get put in the teams and other clubs in Scotland do this we are lacking behind on giving youth a chance instead buying players that are not much better than these young lads these young players will end up leaving to further there career.

07 Dec 2016 22:38:24
You seriously can't compare the kids down south to the ones in Scotland! They are cherry picked from all over Europe. Our kids aren't. Look at the Man City side that just beat Celtic. They are all big strong, physical specimens from all over .
Unfortunately our kids just aren't ready! The ones who are ready or could have been ready all went down south already after being cherry picked. The Celtic "wonder" kid will be at Man City very soon and fingers crossed our lad getting all the attention isn't taken. He has a very good chance but again he is very small and immature in stature. An fully grown adult would hurt him in a challenge. He needs protected.

07 Dec 2016 22:43:05
I agree. If they are good enough it shouldn't matter what age they are. Give the boys a chance. Get them experience and let's face it, we like all other Scottish clubs are 'selling' clubs. Process should be to get them into the team. Be part of a successful run for the club and then sell them on for a good fee. That's the business model nowadays. At least that's what it should be. Good to hear there's a few decent prospects but would like to hear a bit more reporting on development teams.

08 Dec 2016 01:05:50
It really has nothing to do with their age, 16, 17, 18, etc and everything to do with their physical and mental development. Some boys are ready quicker than others, but on average (including in England) boys will be more prepared to challenge and to play senior football by about 18 or 19. Burt is only 17 and still physically looks like a kid. Hardie might be pushing after the new year if he keeps doing what he's doing. Ian Durrant and Barry Ferguson, two exceptional talents, were 18 when they broke through, so we need patience with these lads, not pressure put upon them before they're ready.

08 Dec 2016 12:54:52
are they better than Miller or Rossiter? No. Then why would they make the team?

08 Dec 2016 13:04:59
Great call Teddy - surely hardie and burt must be due a start.

07 Dec 2016 11:51:54
Our limitations in the transfer market will continue until we start playing European football again and get rid of fatso Ashley's draining contract. Celtic may have signed Rodgers, Dembele, Sinclair and Toure but that sort of spending will only continue if they are playing CL football. The sooner we overtake them the better. We need someone to inject a few million now and that they will take a risk that they'll get a return on their money. King should do what he promised to do. Things will turnaround. If we finish 2nd this season then I reckon if we are all honest that's as good as we could have hoped for. Next season, winning the SPL is an absolute must.

07 Dec 2016 12:35:20
Doiger king has turned this club around! Where would rangers be now if he hadnt taken over?

07 Dec 2016 15:49:24
IT won't happen until there is serious funds invested, and that won't be any time soon, we must get rid of Ashley.

07 Dec 2016 17:03:02
We are miles behind Celtic, challenging next year will require a decent amount of quality players coming in and gelling. I don't see us being serious challengers for a good few years yet and that is with investment. £15-20million would change the game of course but that is not coming anytime soon.

08 Dec 2016 17:15:26
"Celtic may have signed Rodgers, Dembele, Sinclair and Toure but that sort of spending will only continue if they are playing CL football". Eh? Think you will find that we made ALL of those signings before we were in the Chamions League lol.

08 Dec 2016 17:12:21
a club that needs loan after loan to see the season through will not attract investment, that is basic economics, investors look for a return on there money. Mike Ashley is not the reason you can't attract investment its the fact the company is running at a loss and un attractive investment.

07 Dec 2016 06:06:24
Can't believe I'm seeing people say sell windass. He's by far one of the most exciting prospects we've had in a while. Give him time, he'll get fit and he'll get back to regular football and only improve. Selling him for £1m or £2m would be a disaster. Give him time and we'll be talking £4-5m. Same with Rossiter. Patience Bears, it's been 6months. Follow Follow. In Warbs We Trust.

07 Dec 2016 08:06:22
He's going nowhere, why would we sell the only player who has looked good this year?

07 Dec 2016 09:54:25
Oh he will be going somewhere if we are offered 1 million to 1.5 million we have no other means of income.

07 Dec 2016 10:08:57
Coz we're skint that's how we'd sell him if the money was offered. plain and simple.

07 Dec 2016 10:37:21
1-2 million is a disaster what planet are you living on? A 200k investment to tenfold over a six month period? Exact same with Rossiter. I agree with you in the sense that we should be investing in the future but we can't make that kind of money anywhere else. Rossiter would have cost at least a few million anywhere inside England as would Windass and that's why they command this fee. They haven't actually improved as assets in that sense, from a board perspective it's a very easy flip considering both haven't got off the injury bed yet. With Barton's wages, the two out-going players (Rossiter and Windass) for an exaggerated estimate of 4m total, would allow us a further 55k a week on the wage bill. This could allow us to bring in a quality player but that isn't how Warburton approaches the transfer market. The wage will 100% reinvested but who would we acquire for that kind of money that would actually benefit us? Baring in mind Championship clubs can but 15m+ for players meaning our market is even worse.

07 Dec 2016 19:25:15
You should do well on the sale of windass, 3/ 400k is a healthy return.

08 Dec 2016 12:00:23
Does he not have a 3.5mil buy out clouse?

07 Dec 2016 03:54:53
We all know we need CB's, saw in DR an article on players new Jambos manager could bring in. It indicated 2 CB's and the one that interested me is Roderick Miranda plays for Rio Ave FC in portugues league. A no nonsense CB 1.94M, 25 years old valued at €1million. If we were to sell Windass and Waghorn as rumoured in the papers, what are other readers thoughts.

07 Dec 2016 09:05:34
English Championship this year has a lot of good players out of contract in the summer. I'd grab Bailey Wright, he'd do great up here and is only 24. Maybe even Sasso or Ekstrand (If he could keep fit)

07 Dec 2016 10:13:40
Can't see us buying any players in January. If any players were to be sold the cash will be used to run the club as King is skint. I repeat KING IS SKINT!

07 Dec 2016 10:44:07
Why would we need a CB? We have four till the end of the season and to be frank, we have been fairly consistent at the back this season. We have been weak everywhere else and that makes the defence look poor due to our style of play.

Look at Hill, or as you would all say 3 games into the season over the hill, he was past it the wrong decision by the manager and we shouldn't have signed him. Now he's touted as our best defender. DW is a quality centre half who has been injured all season. RK when playing with experience seems to look solid also and we haven't seen enough of Senderos to get any idea how bad or good he actually is.

Surely the priority should be the middle of the park, where creativity has been sparse this season (NK injury JB leaving JR, MC AND JW also being injured) or up front where a clinical striker is a necessity. I don't feel we were ever defensively weak, we struggled from a poor balanced squad and a pretender playing CDM (Haliday) .

07 Dec 2016 12:16:24
Onlyshowaround, think Bailey and Sasso might be good additions 2 good big CB's plus in their mid-20s, build slowly from there and in a few years have a solid team to challenge for the title.

07 Dec 2016 13:03:14
Scott Hogan would be a good striker to pick up. Maybe even Alan Judge. I know wages are higher down south but surely those are two players we could afford?

08 Dec 2016 19:18:35
Anti-establishment you're right, we have been very consistent at the back. Shipping 17 goals in 16 league games. You seem to be happy with that though and say we don't need a defender?

08 Dec 2016 13:39:38
Why is it that crappy average mediocre players from the English championship, who are released and can't get a team, "will to great up here" it really gets on my boobs.

07 Dec 2016 01:12:01
Would anyone take Stephen mallan, looks a good creative player.

07 Dec 2016 08:05:53
Yes 100% goalscoring midfielder who can only get better. Pop along to hibs and bring Jason Cummings with him.
