ive been told the union of fans have closed their account, does anybody know why??

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The uof have closed their account because they couldn't get the assurances from the board over the security of ibrox & murray park, I said all along boyblue that this along with dave king was bound to fail, the only way is for a rich sugar daddy to buy the club outright from the major shareholders, step forward dave king where have you been for 6 weeks, you talk the talk now its about time you walked the walk, after all you split the supporters with your idea of putting money into a doomed from the start trust fund which was never going to work, mr king has now become the invisible man

Agree0 Disagree0

No update on their website, in fact their last statement was on 6th May

Gazza. Concerning King, he stated in the press months ago that he would invest up to £50 million and wouldn't be looking for a profit. It seemed like a philanthropic statement. So why has he been silent for weeks now? He said he wouldn't leave Scotland until the deed was done. Yeh, right. What puzzles me is if I had King or McColl's money and truly wanted to save our beloved Rangers I would plough that money into the club. Maybe I'm dreaming.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, if I had the money, say 30 or 40 million, I would buy them out, lock stock and barrel. I would then let the fans know I would be taking x amount out the club, over a period of years, and invite other rangers minded business men to join me and open it up to club fans to buy in. I think if fans knew your intentions and were honest from the start, they would except this after the amount of money that has been stolen from the club over the last 3 years!!

Here, here DOIGER, exactly my thoughts!

After giving this a lot of consideration I really do think we should give wee temps a free role in our team for the new season, he has the ability if he stays injury free to be our messi & would be tremendous in my opinion in the floating no. 10 role that messi plays for both argentina & barcelona, david templeton has great ability & is in the mould of the old tanner baw player if you like, your thoughts on this

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed, Gaz. I said it further down the page that he would be suited to that role. He is an intelligent player, good dribbler, can beat players for fun, he's quick and he can finish. My team for next season with what we have just now would be Bell in goal, back four of Foster, McGregor, Zaliukas, Wallace, midfield three of Black sitting with Law and MacLeod either side given license to join the attack and Temps in a free role behind Boydy and Miller.

David Templeton - Messi? got to be having a laugh he's on stupid money, Young Mckay and Aird on the wings would be enough for me

Agree0 Disagree0

N1 believe that looks good enough for me mate with the exception of black ide play parelta in there

Agree0 Disagree0

LeeBoy, a few points.

1) He clearly means Temps could play a similar role to Messi in our team. A perfectly valid point in the context of the conversation.

2) He said Temps playing as a number 10, so not on the wings, making your statement about McKay and Aird irrelevant.

3) Aird is garbage.

Agree0 Disagree0

Believe, I'm glad you like myself have a decent football brain & understand the concept of making the point of temps playing in the same role as messi & not that he is messi, I just don't understand what piece of my straightforward post leeboy clearly can't grasp, again believe you're spot on on the point that I was indeed meaning a free no. 10 role for wee temps & not solely as a winger because in overall football ability temps is streets ahead of both aird & mckay

Playing with no one wide would be awful
Aird isn't "garbage" he's got plenty of time to improve, far too judgemental on young players
It should be Templeton Lm Aird/Mckay Rm as David templeton can't go a season without getting injured Aird and Mckay will be LM and RM no doubt, and for Jon Daly I can't see him getting over this knee problem

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeboy12, I didn't say play with no width, I said give wee temps a free role, if you have been watching the world cup you'll know exactly what I'm meaning as most countries deploy this strategy my friend

Agree0 Disagree0

Would agree Templeton should be given a free role similar to Messi

Did anyone watch the friendly against Brora Rangers? I don't know if it was on TV. I didn't see it, but the scoreline of 1-1 doesn't exactly inspire me to think it is going to be a great season! Are we really going to have to put up with Ally McCoist as manager for yet another season? At least Kris Boyd scored.

It was on RTV, Doiger. I didn't watch it but between the match reports and the comments on RM, it was not a pretty sight.

There seems little to be gained from playing Highland League and North American college teams. If you win, you are just doing what was expected and if you lose it is an embarassment. Hearts are at least facing Euro teams which will better prepare them for the challenge of hte Championship.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is gained from these games is a bit of game time for players to gel and get fitness before the new season . The first half on Saturday was terrible but the second half was more of a starting 11and they looked a lot better with Boyd , miller and law on the park

Agree0 Disagree0

Was at game yesterday, first half we were awful, second half slight improvement game was more a kick about than anything else which is to be expected at this stage of pre season

Agree0 Disagree0

Muir that's bang on mate game time for fitness and bonding that's all I see people moaning about these trivial games but I think they are a must there is no point playing barsa or any other big team as getting horse will do nowt for the players confidence

Agree0 Disagree0

I get the game time argument and that is important but game time does much less to develop the team than some sort of challenge does (IMO).

As things stand the Derby game will be the only 'challenge' the team face before the season starts.
