If morelos has a bad game he's not good enough if he has a good game then he's good! let's get behind the man and push him on cause there is definitely more of him to see had a smile on his face last night looked happy we need that not a morelos going in strops every 5 mins! And us fans are the folk to get behind him 🔴⚪🔵LETS GO!

08 Jul 2018 00:16:52
Dont know what people want from him. take his goals out the team last season and we woulda be far worse off. works his socks off. he's a bit rough roind edges but there's enough there to be a threat for us

08 Jul 2018 01:01:26
I agree. about time we sang more songs to gee up players! too much getting on people's backs too quickly.

08 Jul 2018 08:00:26
Agreed. We have been the same for as long as I remember. The favourites are unlucky when they make a mistake but when the scapegoats do it a lot of the stadium is up in arms calling for the lads head and telling the whole world how sh! te they are. How’s about just backing the team for once?

08 Jul 2018 08:55:39
I concur, Morelos has lots of potential, good work rate, strong and holds it up well. The thing is how long are decent young players going to hang around when half of our support slate them, so when clubs come sniffing they will just go because they are sick of the constant criticism. I know where people are coming from mentioning the sitters he missed, but you never know he could be top scorer again this season and people will still want rid of him, we can't even afford a 35 year old Defoe so I don't see how we can get better than Morelos.

08 Jul 2018 13:24:12
That's great glad he's happy getting £20,000 a week and still absolutely rank.
Honestly don't see what the faithful see in him. he's slow and hopeless in front of goal

08 Jul 2018 15:44:22
Yea wc that’s why he’s our most valuable asset bar none. honestly WC you do talk some toilet

08 Jul 2018 16:17:14
Sorry I don't agree with this second business. SG is obviously building a team for victory. Looking at dark side they have done nothing of note to improve. We have and by some margin. SG hasn't done this for second and SC. I want it all.

07 Jul 2018 19:13:29
If your a Rangers fan and you even consider buying a pair a sock from that store are you even a Rangers fan? Hope sports direct die. Boycott them to death.

07 Jul 2018 20:02:01
Couldn't agree more to be honest

07 Jul 2018 20:09:17
Me 2 has to be done

07 Jul 2018 20:33:54
Absolutely we should boycott that shop, I will not give that man a single penny into any of his retail interests. Its just a low level parting shot he's trying .

07 Jul 2018 20:47:03
I thought he no longer had any influence? Didn't Dave King hail this victory? I'd be boycotting him if I were you

08 Jul 2018 00:02:36
I agree ifar they have anything to do with our kit release I am forever done with giving rangers money while dk is in charge. 30 years of puthing money in but if one penny goes to fat Ashley it's a lie too far

08 Jul 2018 00:14:46
You guys are all absolutely messed up in the heed. Aw this guy said this about us, "let's every1 of us hate him". "the whole league and the spl hate us" "lets hate every 1 of them" turn it up guys fs

08 Jul 2018 13:25:36
His shops are open 7 days a week, so if you all march to one in protest at least it will be open.
That’ll be unlike Hampden thst distant day, just before you got liquidated.

08 Jul 2018 15:48:03
Fus blue get a grip . the chairman has played a blinder and this just has to play out. can people on here not just use their brains to figure out . do you think Ashley was going to go away because the chairman asked him nicely .
It’s a game of poker guys and I for one am glad mr king has our cards

07 Jul 2018 18:39:39
I think its time EVERY rangers fan, not only boycott every sports direct store, but protest outside their stores . The only way to get the fat man to drop this issue, is to hurt him in the pocket . Hopefully the fan groups could organise this . Get it massive media coverage, hundreds of fans outside every store . If someone can organise it, ill be there at braehead or silverburn! Me and the wee man have waited to long for a strip now!

08 Jul 2018 13:12:05
I might be wrong but it won't affect what we get from retail he has to match jd sports offer so what they were offering. Sports direct will have to offer the same.

07 Jul 2018 17:35:15
Harry Wilson scoring twice and Danny Ing's scoring once in a 7-0 pre season victory for Liverpool today. I think that rules out any loan deal this season? .

08 Jul 2018 13:21:16
To think some people on here want that person back here that tells you everything what mike Ashley’s all about, ruthless. who only cares about himself deluded they are.

07 Jul 2018 16:11:04
Thought team had brilliant dig. mcorrie and Aldridge were excellent . fighting for every ball . even windass upped his game a notch regarding effort . more of the same guys and we will be ok . alright only bury you say but still we showed heart and willingness . I for one am pleased and optimistic

07 Jul 2018 17:23:04
Aldridge?
Arfield was excellent - class act.

07 Jul 2018 17:43:07
thought flanigan was excelent also likes a tackle, solid and his distrabution was really good, my take on last night is that there is going to be a fight for places and that can only be good so different from last season can't wait for season to kick off let's go

07 Jul 2018 18:10:17
Windass upped his game? I was there like I am every home game and some away games and I know a few here like him but I thought Windass was probably the poorest player we had last night! As for effort nah just nah and if we do get an offer of over £1.5 mill I'd bite the hand right off them! I for one don't think he has the fight as to what SG is looking for!

07 Jul 2018 18:58:53
Blackwood I'm glad u said that because I thought windass was worst player we had on the park also. I didn't see any extra effort either.

07 Jul 2018 19:00:45
Blackwood bear spot on said it numerous times last year he was a ten minute player we can't afford passengers .
Think he will be off as SG really looking for a winger and after last night's display Glen Middleton will be getting well into SG plans, very promising .

07 Jul 2018 19:33:06
Lads the boy just believes in his own hype he's never our class and coming in from Accrington the only thing he does well is either Tweet or post rubbish on his social media about how great the club is! We know how good it is son just you're not good enough to play here!

07 Jul 2018 19:57:07
What about Conner goldson I thought he was best man on the park

07 Jul 2018 20:04:16
I thought Gouldson was organising the defence more than Tav! The new boy ( not going to try spell his name as I'll get roasted ) was very good on the ball! As much as I like Tav I don't think he's our captain and SG has announced he is but I like a CH as captain that sits and organises everything!

07 Jul 2018 20:15:13
I’m happy to let SG decide whether or not Windass is good enough!

If SG picks him I will support him until he is sold. If he is sold I’ll wish him all the best for the goals he scored and the effort he put in.

08 Jul 2018 00:05:54
Don't slwayshoo agreed with u dk but we have a lot lot worse than windass about the squad x

08 Jul 2018 15:59:03
Sorry I thot I saw windass win the ball i. Midfield tskebit up the park and smack it off the post? Certainly looked like him . during the second half too when he is usually missing by all accounts

07 Jul 2018 15:57:27
I would like to see the guy Marriott signed if we were going to push the boat out for someone who seems to be an out and out striker if we were able to bid £4.5m for Mcburnie then i would rather have Marriott even if he cost us another half a million if we could afford it that is.

07 Jul 2018 20:25:44
Defoe or his double staying in Blythswood hotel
Was watching England game

07 Jul 2018 14:26:14
This is totally annoying that rangers can't now sell our new hummel kits, to us the supporters, as mike ashley's sports direct, have been granted, an interim injunction, to stop rangers selling the hummel kits, to us the fans! F*****g unbelievable! When is this all going to end?

07 Jul 2018 14:57:54
Where are you getting this from? I can't find this on any reputable source ie sky sports, rangers news now?

07 Jul 2018 14:59:05
Only a few weeks ago, people were actually debating if fresh investment from this man would be a good thing. I think even ex players were backing it.

The man is toxic. Every single thing this man does is for personal gain and greed. Just look at the absolutely disgusting way he treats his staf.

He was more than happy to bleed us dry when we were at our most vulnerable.

King has his many faults but once he finally rids the club of the toxic influence of that vulture Ashley, then there’s no excuses. we will be in a much brighter place.

07 Jul 2018 15:13:40
I seen it on Twitter some guy had the actual court papers I tried to copy and paste it to the rumours page.

07 Jul 2018 15:39:47
Why would some random guy on twitter have the actual court papers? and if it was true then why didn't Ashley bring it up when the Hummel deal was announced, sounds like a another piece of fake news mate,

07 Jul 2018 15:39:56
The Ashley thing is online with most of the daily papers there are copies of the judgement
Think it's time we organise a boycott of sports direct

07 Jul 2018 15:42:21
Back at court on tuesday for this hopefully be sorted out!

07 Jul 2018 15:58:49
Will you lot ever open your eyes and see what's happening and all this mince dk has his faults he is ruining your club's future can't be bothered outlining it all for u as if you never had your heads in the same you would know that unless king has invester willing to bail him out you will be even more in debt lol and just to clarify i don't care what happens to yous it's not at a point where it's unbelievable you can't or won't see what happening

07 Jul 2018 16:01:49
Let colster tell us what’s happening with the strips as he usually knows the ins and outs of our Sports Direct contract? NOT

07 Jul 2018 16:27:31
Found this story in the sun of all papers. Yip say's tuesday back at court. I hate that fat rat

07 Jul 2018 17:46:53
A bit disappointed in King with this injunction from Sports Direct? They are saying good they were offered first refusal on being the main retailer? I thought King said we had brought them out? We are losing out on millions 😡🇬🇧

07 Jul 2018 18:31:53
Why are yous having a go at Ashley, he is just following the terms of the agreement that was signed up for, it's your man King, that's trying to pull a fast one, ( well, it's not the first time, he has done that) .

07 Jul 2018 22:07:17
So coldo, you did manage to find the story! We word of advice. Stop doubting fellow bears, before making sure! When i posted this, i was totally pissed off by this kit carry-on again! I most certainly wouldn't make a story up regarding this!

07 Jul 2018 22:32:39
my apologies 36thulsterdivision, seems you were right about the sports direct injuction, what a load of b***ocks

08 Jul 2018 00:09:49
Dave king. Lying again. What a surprise

08 Jul 2018 09:04:30
I don't know the ins and outs like most folk because I just see what I see online, but doesn't this thing just mean until the end of the month when the SD deal ends we can't sell the strips? Still that's a pain in the ass but if it means fat boy doesn't make money from us can't we just wait until the end of the month.

08 Jul 2018 10:44:42
What you on about coop? Did I say I doubted you? . I asked where you were getting it because I couldn't find it on sky sports or any reputable media source, Wee word of advice for you, wind your neck in ya fud!

08 Jul 2018 15:23:20
Shandy boy lay off our chairman please . it is a victory. all be it we might need to wait another few weeks to be rid . The chairman pkyedva blindervandvthis is just part of it . same way he did when getting Stevie . so I would concentrate on your own chairman who sells all your players to fatten his own bank account with little or no replacements . new lights? You better turn them on cause we are comin . beleive

07 Jul 2018 13:59:32
After listening to Stevie G interview and he has played in the two pre season games so far I have a feeling that Zak Ruddon will play a part next season.

I still feel we will get two strikers but I think Ruddon may well be the 4th striker. Possibly, getting on late in games to build up experience. Just my opinion, we shall see.

07 Jul 2018 14:14:53
Morelos will stay unless somebody offers silly money for him, sadiq will sign a years loan and also hope we get solanke on a years loan as well. Will be absolutely delighted if this happens and will give us fighting chance next season.

07 Jul 2018 11:41:25
Really pleased with the performance last night. Thought Katic and Goldson looked really good, at last we have an imposing centre half pairing who look comfortable with the ball at feet and composed defending overall particularly in the air. Thought our pressing higher up the pitch was good too, Arfield looks like a player who'll link our midfield and attack and McCrorie done a good job sitting deep and braking up play. A hood balance to our team and credit to the young lads who came on, particularly Middleton who did exactly what any good winger should do and beat his man and put the ball into dangerous areas in the box for his two assists. The tempo never dropped when we made changes which shows we have a hungry group of players all fighting for starts. Early days but encouraging signs.

07 Jul 2018 13:15:11
Think you do need to factor in the poor side we were up against

07 Jul 2018 14:36:01
You can only play against the team that’s up against you. It was good to see Gerrard still demanded a lot from the players even when they were 4 and 5 nil up. Another thing that I thought was positive was how Morelos and Docherty seemed to be getting along well after the carry on with them at the end of the season.

07 Jul 2018 15:55:27
Blue89

Yeah that’s fine saying that in a meaningful match. However Rangers chose Bury a team in the 4th tier of English football. I don’t think you can really read to much into a performance against such a poor side

07 Jul 2018 16:13:56
Your a right breath of fresh air Arthur

07 Jul 2018 18:19:36
Arthur jeez man! Remember last season we played such a poor side and they put us out of Europe? We played well last night end of and as a previous poster said we can only beat what's in front of us but we did it well right across the park! I for one are seeing signs this early that there is fight there which we never had signs of at any point past few seasons! Yes I'm optimistic and yes I know they'll be ups and downs this season but can we not just agree as fans that last night we played well ( even after the influx of substitutions) and as time goes on with a few more additions the fight for places will only get better!

07 Jul 2018 20:08:44
Blackwoodbear

Too many people get carried away on here. The same was said about how good certain players were during pre season matches against Sheff Wed and Watford. People on here saying how great Cardoso was. Bury are in the 4th tier of English football and it’s nothing special to beat them. All I’m saying is for people not to get carried away. I don’t see what’s wrong with that?

07 Jul 2018 21:30:29
The most encouraging thing about last night was we did exactly what we should be doing to teams like Bury and that's hammering them. Under previous managers the players would have went through the motions at 2/ 3 nil. Every player that started and came on kept the tempo Stevie G set and that shows something we've lacked for a few seasons now. hunger and discipline. Every fan knows the opposition is weak but that doesn't take away from the fact that signs are there that this squad has a new attitude under our new manager. Looks like every player has worked hard on fitness this pre season and are ready to compete with one and other for starting places this coming season

07 Jul 2018 11:07:38
Thought Morelos looked leaner and maybe sharper. I think his all round game is good and will score for fun if his confidence gets better. him being fitter will benefit his confidence.

07 Jul 2018 12:24:08
Bgate, he was 100% leaner.

Will be nothing more than the fact the training sessions with Murty were no where near intense enough. Just about every player interviewed has commented on how hard the sessions have been since Gerrard came in.

Just compare it to the winter break camp in Florida last year, the players were never done posting pictures at Disney land and universal studios etc.

Players went to Spain for a pre season camp which are noutorious for being being light and not very intense and Gerrard has had them on 2 sessions a day.

About time.

07 Jul 2018 10:03:24
From my memory we always seem to buy players for good money and either let them go for free or on the cheap. Can you name a player that we have bought then sold for 5 million or more?

07 Jul 2018 10:40:22
Van bronckhorst, boumsong (spelling) . Hope that settles you pettle.

07 Jul 2018 11:04:58
Jelavic, arteta

07 Jul 2018 11:12:12
GVB, Boumsong, Cuellar, Jelavic etc I am sure there are more!

07 Jul 2018 13:47:58
Hutton although he was a youth player

07 Jul 2018 14:05:15
Tore Andre Flo, we got well over 5 million for him. Hahaha

07 Jul 2018 16:26:44
Boumsong and Hutton were our best bits of business, probably followed by cuellar. Gvb cost us a few quid as did Barry Ferguson when we but him back.

07 Jul 2018 09:59:54
ED, would you be so kind to run a wee poll for me here? Its regarding ross mccrorie, who i spoke very highly of in one of my reply posts,
when i got home from last night's game, against bury! I was 1 and i don't mind admitting, i was wrong, who thought mccrorie's best position, was centre half!

I've most certainly changed my mind and would like you to run a poll, to gauge what all other bears think his best position is! So my poll Would be, what's ross mccrorie's best position, centre half or defensive midfielder?
Cheers ED!

{Ed033's Note - mccrorie position poll

07 Jul 2018 10:15:39
Midfield all day long

07 Jul 2018 10:43:29
Don't need a poll, it was confirmed midway through last season that his best position is CDM.

07 Jul 2018 11:43:17
CDM, however having watched him for five years I strongly believe he will be an excellent right back.
B4 some people jump in, that's where he played under 17, 19 at Ayr and Dumbarton.
I loved the way he was shouting encouraging back four last night, a captan in the making

07 Jul 2018 11:46:00
What about a poll to decide whether most people like coco pops or sugar puffs?

Is this a primary school playground?

07 Jul 2018 13:43:00
Coco pops no brainier.

07 Jul 2018 14:01:55
Yes Jboy21, definitely captain material. I would give it to him just now. Never done ferguson any harm when he got it at a young age, If anything it kicked him on performance wise.

07 Jul 2018 14:43:15
Coco pops all day long. I hate how sugar puffs makrs your pee smell

07 Jul 2018 14:59:46
I thought that was just my pee gordon 🙄

08 Jul 2018 00:13:35
No coldo super puffs = smelly pee

07 Jul 2018 09:44:03
I would also like to add some praise to mark allan. He came here with a 5 year plan with one of the main focuses being on improving what's coming through murrey/ hummel acc. We are now 3 years into that plan and from what i can see there is at least 8 young lads that are startin to stake a claim for the first team. Even if only 2 or 3 of them make it how much cash will that save us and also gain us with their sell on value. The six i think have a great chance are middleton mccrorie burt wilson and barjones hardie
i think that last season pulling our youngsters out of scotland and allowing them to play against the cream of euro football was a master stroke from allan as our young ones will have learnt so much re tactics systems training ect hopefully we do the same this year as definitely the way forward.

07 Jul 2018 10:13:00
Mark Allan ain’t even been here a year yet or do you mean he’s ahead In his plan?

07 Jul 2018 11:46:15
Stewartyblue, I am a great fan of hardie but feel he has missed the boat. Rudden has great potential, and as I keep saying there is no better young player at ibrox than 18yr old Stephen Kelly

07 Jul 2018 11:47:56
Think it was Dave King who had the 5 year plan.

07 Jul 2018 12:39:38
Soz was ment to write within a 5 year plan. His remit was to improve what was coming through the acc and set up a scouting system don't think he is doing that bad kenny

07 Jul 2018 16:10:42
Mark Allen only came in last year so how is he 3 year into a 5 year plan?

07 Jul 2018 17:42:02
Some people are so fickle read my 2nd post ment to write within a 5 year plan

07 Jul 2018 09:22:34
What i liked most about last night performance was the hunger and desire shown by every player all talking and shouting at each other shagger was constantly telling our defence where to go. The way arty was guideing mccrorie threw the game telling him to push or sit.

It will be interesting to see how the team and sg react when we go a goal down to someone and how the team responsed as last season heads went down. I've got a feeling that this isn't going to happen this season.

07 Jul 2018 10:16:59
Spot on with your posts stewartyblue

07 Jul 2018 07:56:36
I know the strips won’t be released to near the start of August but why can’t rangers release some sort of voucher . were people pay now so the club has the money in hand for Stevie G to spend on players exciting times ahead

07 Jul 2018 09:03:57
Pre-order makes sense mate, I’m not a wearer unless playing fives but I’d love to get my wee boy his ordered just now!

07 Jul 2018 09:05:55
There's another court case with sports direct on going they have put an injunction in to stop us agreeing a retail deal with jd sports. That's why the kits are not available.

07 Jul 2018 07:12:03
Is ejaria injured?

07 Jul 2018 07:42:08
According to the Press, he is not yet fully up to speed and needs more training to reach Gerrard's fitness level requirements.

07 Jul 2018 08:22:59
I saw a guy in tesco on friday wearing the new orange top

07 Jul 2018 08:50:47
Cheers tomusa

07 Jul 2018 09:08:43
@monthegers1872
What you seen in Tesco was soneone wearing the orange top from turkey lol

Review Of The Day 7th July 2018

07 Jul 2018 06:55:15
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 7th July 2018

06 Jul 2018 23:53:35
Don't care what anyone says Morelos is SHITE, should take any offer over 2million and run, runs like an elephant, finishes like a giraffe on ice. Would rather player Rudden.

07 Jul 2018 07:46:35
I am assuming you are going off of 1 appearance from rudden tonight, if you were paying any attention you would have seen Morelos working his socks off as usual, he was involved in at least 2 maybe 3 of the goals as well as scoring one himself, held the ball up well laid some nice touches off to windass and Arfield but he didn't score a hat trick so must be rubbish. Steven Gerrard thinks he is a good player and you are more than entitled to have your own opinion but we just won 6 nil Morelos played well and there were other outstanding performers but all you can come up with is Morelos is white take 2 mill.

07 Jul 2018 07:54:37
TGR, get a grip mate! Do you not understand or appreciate the all round game of morelos? Most bears rate morelos and more importantly, our manager steven gerrard rates him! that's more than enough for me! Get off the young man's back and get right behind the guy! He'll score goals for us again this season, no doubt whatsoever! Honestly some of our fans are not real!

07 Jul 2018 08:53:39
Some people just haven't got a clue. TGR probably thinks Fod should be out number 1 as well

07 Jul 2018 09:40:59
The lad puts a shift in and is a handful I thought he did a lot of good things and linked up well with others. Once that wee bit of calmness comes with experience he will really come good. Was pleased he got his goal and looking forward to him kicking on this season. To say he is rubbish is way way off the mark for me. He does miss chances but then remember how many McCoist used to miss and he didn't do you badly

07 Jul 2018 09:49:15
TGR I bet Morelos gives us 20 goals plus this year. Get your head out yer arse mate

07 Jul 2018 10:31:17
Well said SUPERCOOPER totally agree, I see TGR also doesn't seem to rate Katic also in another post, unbelievable,

07 Jul 2018 12:48:03
I thought his movement and contribution and link up was decent in first half, though he had a few chances he never took. He looked average in second half but he’s all we have got at the moment and the fans have to back him as confidence is everything to a striker. We need atleast another 2 forwards in. On last nights showing Middleton is going to have balls whipped in around the danger areas and a good striker will fill his boots. I was very impressed with Middleton!

07 Jul 2018 15:19:21
Well said coop

07 Jul 2018 16:06:25
Wish fans would get off Morelos back he scores goals end off so he missed some last year but still
Scored goals he’s Only young think some fans want him to score a hat trick in every game

07 Jul 2018 16:21:47
Morelos was excellent last night. made two scored one constant nucience. even back defending. thinkin will trust Stevie’s opinion over TGR lol

06 Jul 2018 23:14:34
Think we may have unearthed a wee gem in glen middleton recon he will be pushing hard for regular start if he can keep up that level of performance. Before i get all the disagrees I know it was only bury but what I've seen of him so far with scot u21 the boy has a bright future and so glad its with us.

Was also impressed with our defence and arty good show for only our second game back.

07 Jul 2018 06:25:00
I've watched a good few U21 games and the two that stick out like sore thumbs are your boy Middleton and our lad Mickey Johnston.

As a Scotland fan I'm hoping both progress and although McRorie is already quality (I think most will agree more so in midfield atm) I'm hoping he matures into a beast of a CB that Scotland desperately need and we as a nation can put rivalries aside for tournaments like this world cup in future!

if morelos has to go stewarty blue then it has to be good money, we should not give him away. we have 2 assets clubs are sniffing around windass moralos. morelos 8 to 11 million, windass 3 to 5 million. this is todays market. gone are the days we give players away nothing. we have 3 weeks till transfer window shuts, hope mr allen is working on deals. london jock

I cannot believe Norwich released that lad we have a young guy there who can play on both flanks and could be the natural successor to Murphy or Candieas and we got him for free never looked out of place always present in the action and got 2 assists

Lonj i never said morel and windy should be sold bud. i'm old enough to rem mccoist first couple of seasons and more recent big hately where they constantly missed chances and at times got bood by our fans both windy and morel as 2 young boys morel debut season 18 goals 9 assits windy similar stats. With better players round about them both will only get better imo.

Think the window is open until the end of August LondonJock, hopefully a lot more to come in but we need the deadwood out first, good basis of a team there but I feel we need a beast of a midfielder, 1 more striker on top of Sadique and another defender.

Took my 2 young boys to their first game at Ibrox, hoping for a couple of goals and a decent atmosphere.

In agreement, it was a friendly but, it's been a while since even when the subs have been made, the energy levels are still high and on the front foot, so refreshing.

Some positives for me was firstly, the defence. Solid. Coped with everything well. Flanagan took a bit to get going, neat and tidy and grew into the game. Think John has some competition.
In the middle, I think mccrorie has so much potential to make that unglamorous roll that every team needs his own. Thought Murphy looks fitter. His tracking back was better. Arfield looked comfortable.

Whilst morelos was probably involved in 2 or 3 goals, I didn't get the feeling he'd kicked on through pre season. Similar feeling with windass.

We've improved, no doubt but, still 2 or 3 forward thinking 1st team signings short to challenge properly - plus backup.

I hope my boys look back at this match as the start of the road to success.

Great to be at the game tonight Good buzz

Team seemed to be pressing very well tonight and a decent performance against Bury

I thought our defence looked solid enough when called upon but can still do with one more solid centre back if Alves is to depart

I was impressed with McCrorie in the middle of the park and I liked the look of Middleton but also hoping to see Rossiter eventually get fit

Still think we are miles away from where we should be but hopefully get there within a year

Stil think we are still short of four quality players another centre back and a sweeper of some sort along with a couple of strikers and we should be sorted

Middleton great prospect, can see we will be a lot stronger than last season.
Said last week Goldson will be captain and was slated, we will see .

tavs the captn Brian which tbh i’m a bit surprised at

Agree with most posts although it was only Bury thought we looked fit and organised all new boys did well goldson looks a good organiser, while whole defence was solid. mcrorie and arfield did well &’middleton impressed

morelos again tho oh dear lad looks like a fish out of water shooting when he should pass and vice versa always seems to pick wrong option

work rate can’t be faulted but missed another sitter and does not inspire confidence at all. if we want to challenge we need far better bears - proper cntr fwd needed asap!

Despite it only being Bury there was a lot to be happy about in that performance + all those young guys on the bench. Agree that we still need a few more signings including defensive cover, a top quality midfield player, (assuming that Rossiter will also be back soon), and a couple more striking options, (including the young Nigerian guy) .

I agree we need another CB to cover Goldson and Katic but they looked solid last night and Bury never got a chance to trouble Allan McGregor

I don’t think we need a tough tackling big named centre mid. I think Mccrorie will do fine. Bit of confidence under his belt and he’ll be a class player

Aye McCrorie was very good. Once the rough edges come off he will be a very valuable and unfortunately saleable asset. Midfielder all day long. Never a cb

Where was Ejaria last night, injured?
Noticed there was no Herrera, Cardoso or Forrester either. Maybe they have no place at the club or maybe get a run out in the next friendly?

07 Jul 2018 07:49:03
McCrorie will learn from Gerrard, we couldn't wish for a better mentor, but he will need support and ideally an old head on the park that can also further his development. Would also like to see Rossiter fit and playing a part in the team.

I have to say, I think mccrorie has the makings of a top midfielder.

Thought he had a great game tonight, and this could be a good season for him.
