Love King Carlos not sure if he's coming home but all this ''Madjid Bougherra better than Carlos Cuellar'' tosh was never the case :P Boughies a good guy and can't blame the man for wanting to play in a better league. He's better at going forward than Cuellar but Cuellar is more solid defensivly. What the hell let's just bring Gattuso home where he belongs aswell, Let's go all out and let Whittaker go to Bursa and bring home Alan Hutton lol!

WATP

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Turning on yer own again, so of the boogy man stays you will say he's great but if he leaves cuellar phone is better than him? WATP?? sure it isn't WA*K lmao plural of f**ny= Rangers

not big news or anything but my uncles just been appointed a youth scout at rangers, Brian Rice. was a great player in his days and was previous assistant manager at Falkirk and Hibs last season with John Hughes. got a good eye for a player.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Here's hoping he does a good job.Congratulations Brian

kevin nolan has rejected an offer from newcastle but he won't sign for rangers coz he's a septic fan. thought i would post this before everyone apparently spots him at ibrox/murray park/glasgow airport etc

Believable2 Unbelievable0

It's likely I will get shot down for this but coz he's a Celtic fan does that mean he wouldn't sign for Rangers? Don't think so son!

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Jun 2011 22:21:07
i think ally should go for familliar faces and bring them back to ibrox, i feel we need some people like cuellar and maybe lovenkrands, folk who know the rangers way :

Thats pathetic, have a word with yourself sunshine

What about this, K Nolan rejects new contract, could he do a job for the Gers? Would he come? Would u want him? I would.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

SkyBet have him at 10/1 to join Celtic so they might know something we don't in terms of us (Celtic fan here) making an approach. It's either that or they're just trying to get money from outside betters who'll bet on him because he's known to be a Celtic fan (although Bolton had worse odds).

No odds for Rangers. I think the favourites were Blackburn at 4/1 if I remember right.

Having said that I don't see him coming to us or going to Ibrox either though to be honest. He's been a standout for Newcastle this season and I reckon he'll stay there unless a bigger club (IMO probably Liverpool) comes in for him. He'll just be stalling to see what his options are but I've also heard he's after a long-term deal and Newcastle are only offering 2 years.

But yeah I doubt he'll be wearing hoops or royal blue next season.

Back of Daily Record Carlos Cueller " I would love to come back to Gers "

Let's hope there is substance to this. Could we afford him?

Plz have a look and tell me what you think but have a good think bwt what am saying and you ed.
Wilson and bartly a like them but a only want to see aleast 1 of them bk on loan but would be happy if bartly signed for 2 or 3 years bcoz it would be bad nxt year with them and leaving anpapac likely to leave. Any bk to who we should get this year if bougy an weir leave ( very likely ) we should get 3 new cb 1 over the age of 30 who has been around and can read the game and a younger lad but big and strong like bartly and cover. If we look and think bk over last season towards the end oh it the gers looked great but what we mised was a holdin mid player oh wasnt a shy on moving bout and scared on ball like (edu) lelt mid whyld was ok nothing great tho and that's a fact if we could get a gd left winger abit like commons would be great. And a forward way loads of enargy like miller we would be a hell oh a force so 3 cb a left winger and a new forward and say we do spend 10min on them be worth it and let the young lads do what they been doin we would be great
Ryan/casey

{Ed010's Note -Ryan/casey, you have nailed it with the idea that Ally should try to bring Kyle Bartley back, whether on loan or as a transfer. Midfield is an area that I have advocated that we need to quality players and hopefully that will happen. There are different types of strikers and I wouldn't lose to much sleep if Jelavic and Lafferty were given the opportunity to cement their partnership this season, as they looked good together over the last half dozen games. Having said that, we do need at least one other striker as a back up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nolan, he would be great in midfield and has just rejected a new deal!

in conway free
hemed free
frings free
bartley 1.5 mil
miller 400k
goodwillie 1.5-2mil
foster 500k
weiss 5-6mil

out bougy 1.5 mil

If we keep weir for another season and bring in another cb as well as bartley with weir, s guidance for a season barley would be great showed real prospect also frings will help guide young midfielders like ness and hutton with davis and mc culloch also in this area. A choice of 4 wingers wylde naismith conway and weiss would be great group to be able to chose from and a strike force of jelavic, miller, goodwille, hemed and lafferty to pick from this would be a great squad capable of winning domestic trophies and progressing in europe and within the 10 mil bracket stated in the papers today we would still need another cb though and could maybe get a left bk with promise in january with champions league money anyone agree

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Weiss 5-6 million. i think your missing the point here hes not consistent enough and way out his depth against better players.

sorry guys SAUSAGE BEAR here with bad news, , , in the papers today, , , ELLIS 1st bid on behalf of that Russian who bought Portsmouth. . sorry is it just me . .but why does he have 25% shares in new gers company? who exactly owns us ? Who isw whyte ? im quite happy to inves a few grand in gers shares if they would all tell us true bears the truth . As the x chairman said . . . we should be vigilant

Believable1 Unbelievable3

It stated in the papers today that whytes company Rangers FC Group Limited owns 100 % of the club which suggests to me that andrew ellis in fact does not have any shares within the club.

Thats why i think that the takeover took so long as The independent board committee set up by Rangers to deal with the takeover had insisted that Ellis had no part in the deal (thats only my opinion though)

The main targets for Rangers are though; Bartley, Cueller, Goodwillie and if Alan Smith doesn't sign, a quick shot at trying to get Barry Ferguson back!

David Goodwillie has penned a new deal at Dundee United and will not be leaving this season. The interest from Rangers isn't looking very high. Bartley, Cribari, Frings, Chris Brunt, Craig Conway and Camerone Jerome are the transfer targets I have been told of that ARE all potential options.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Barry ferguson LMAO

Heard a few ppl talkin about rangers looking at tom hately of motherwell. Had glowing reports from the lads dad and our legend mark and I think he'd be a good signin as he's still young and has sum left foot on him.

Is it just me or is nobody else slightly worried that we seem to be either looking at free transfers or loans only??

I think there is trouble looming for us with this tax case and Whyte knows it

Believable2 Unbelievable4

You sound more like a hurting timothy than a bear

Agree3 Disagree2

Yes im quite concerned too, bfore whyte said there would b a decent amount of cash to spend and that him and mccoist were lookin at players all im hearin is loans loans loans i think alot of rangers fans should b very concerned about the tax man comin

Agree2 Disagree3

What do you expect to hear, Ally shouting from the roof tops the names of his targets so every other team can pinch them, get a grip on reality, and who says the names mentioned are Rangers targets, certainly not Rangers everything is pure speculation at the moment, if you don't have faith in the manager or the club we don't need you at Ibrox, sorry for rant but beginning to get p*ssed off with all these negative comments from so called Rangers supporters

Agree3 Disagree3

I am a season ticket holder and love the club that is why I am worried about the taxcase. Too many things have been put in place by Whyte that are set up to deal with administration, all the directors are business rescue specialists etc and he is holding back from waiving the debt with lloyds until he knows the outcome, that is worrying as he was adamant that Rangers would have no liability.

He has a plan A for winning the case and by the looks of it plan b if we lose it - wise move. Just don't think all is rosey because s**t could go down that will change the face of our club.

We can get Bartley for 1m so why are we trying to loan him?? We have 12m!

I think we should look at the following Bosmans:

Conway
Gudjonson - would be great with Jela
Faye
Hemed

Agree1 Disagree1

Also thnk we should buy Goodwillie - 2m

Eremenko would do a job

Mehdi Touil would be a good squad player - some tricks lol

David Vaughn? Nt sure
Cuellar would be great signng if cheap
Barry ferguson is miles bette than Edu even at 33 so would take him again if cheap

Frings would be good but old

Hitzlesperger would be a solid player - new hammer

07 Jun 2011 18:59:03
To them that think were is whyte money well to strengthen £15m ain't gonna be enough to totally repair our team so we have to choices sell players or bring in free transfers. So just keep the faith

Believable2 Unbelievable2

What's to repair? We won the league and CIS cup last year and have lost Weiss (bit part player who only made one real telling contribution), Bartley (good player but only managed a small number of games before injury & we may get him back), Beattie (well here's hoping, totally useless), diouf (for me didn't bring a great deal to the table and was a disruptive influence), the biggest loss will almost be Ricky foster! We don't need to repair, we need to build on the already good foundations for a team we have, keep mcgregor, whitty, 1 of bougy and Davie, Papac, naisy, Davis, mcculoch, ness, wylde, lafferty and jelavic and we have the core for another team more than capable of delivering silverware in ally's first season! Don't be so negative and keep believing! WATP

Agree5 Disagree1

I would like us to spend any money wisely and if that means getting in some bigger names on bosmans and spending a little more on wages then so be it! Splashing out has never really worked out well for us as Flo, michael ball, kanchelskis all never really worked out that great where as some of our free's or cheaper purchases have gone on to do great things for the club! Long may that continue!

Agree3 Disagree0

07 Jun 2011 18:41:37
Some players available for free. your thoughts please?
Carew. Bowyer. Kyrigiakos. Gudjohnsen. Seb larsson. Zenden. Woodgate. Upson. Dyer. Kewell. Ze roberto. Lucas Neil. Klose. I'm sure most would do a job. Post which ones you would like to see. You to ED.

{Ed010's Note -I'm in the priviledged position of going first and so, will no doubt incur the wrath, of fellow fans. There are only two players on that list that I definately would love to see at Ibrox and they are Seb Larsson and Matthew Upson. The only other player that I would consider but it would prove a massive gamble, is Jonathan Woodgate.

The rest of the players may do a job for us but I just feel that Ally has been given the opportunity to take our club forward and to do it in the right way. We need to make sure that any signings will be players who have a hunger, have fire in their belly and have a desire to move on to bigger and better things. I know that Rangers fans will probably not like the third example but the reality is, that at this moment in history, we are going to be a selling club. I just feel that the rest of the players in your list, would come to Rangers, go through the motions each week, take their pay, without going that extra yard.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Celtic fan here but not on a wind-up.

First off don't know much about Lucas Neil or Ze Roberto.

Wouldn't bother with Bowyer, Dyer, Zenden, and probably not Kewell as they're all now pretty average players, pushing mid 30s and would want too much money.

I'd maybe consider Gudjohnsen and Klose, especially Klose who's still a quality striker. Don't think either of them would be interested in Scotland though and would cost a bomb in wages.

IMO Woodgate, Kyrgiakos, Upson are still good ages for CBs and would be good signings for the OF if they can stay injury free. All 3 would walk into Celtic's CB position ahead of Majstorovic/Mulgrew/Loovens/Rogne and they'd certainly be an ample replacement for the aging Weir at Rangers.

Larsson I'd probably take. Young, good player.

Went over and had a look at the dark side rumour page ( it's okay i've been for a shower ) . For the Septic fan who came on here for a laugh to see who we're rumoured with check your own page out mate . Pato and Eboue going on loan ( is this the same Pato who was linked to Chelsea for £40mill ) no chance . Septic were 2nd best are 2nd best and always will be 2nd best and will always be in our shadow . So to all the great unwashed, check what players from Carlisle and Stevenage you may be interested in . . . . .

Thats good coming from a member of the manky mob. What exactly does this bear need to be bitter about. .winning only 2 out of the 3 trophies available in Scotland? Im sure he can cope with being a champion and not being second best

Agree3 Disagree1

It's only my opinion that I don't want Alan Smith at Rangers, I think Davies, McCulloch, Hutton, Ness, Wylde, Edu even Whittaker are better midfielders. In fact looking forward to seeing Hutton, Ness and Wylde play a big part in this coming season. Strikers Jelavic, Naismith and Lafferty just need 1 more in my opinion its Goodwillie. The problem area is defence, if you think that a central defender is Cueller , then i disagree, not until he passes a medical. Again it's only my opinion Richard. from Uneducatad, Unwashed Sad Little Bear. Teddy MCML

07 Jun 2011 17:27:26
Can't believe that we are looking to sign Alan Smith, just because he's been thrown out of Leeds. if he was any good they would keep him or be selling. Also Cueller has had keyhole surgery, paper says will miss start of season, that means could be 3 months out. What are we doing. Lets be looking for 2 or 3 better than these players. I know we still have a money problem but lets be going for Goodwillie, Dorrans and Matt Mills type players. Teddy, MCML.

Agree3 Disagree0

She is in a trusted position, lucky to have a job as there are redundancies in our ticket office and she is coming on here with stories? True or false it doesn't matter. She is paid to do a job not sit surfing the net all day. No wonder the dark side are laughing at our finances again if this is the level of employment that is working for us. The guy was quite right to report her if she was even real. I doubt we will be hearing from "alison" again. And if she is real I hope she has been reprimanded for wasting company time and misuse of company equipment. It is time all the slackers got their act together and took some pride in their work. There are millions of unemployed people would love to work for our club and will do an honest days work. Seems that it is acceptable in this day and age to look for the easy way to do things and do things with the minimum of effort, alison should be doing her job and then do this outwith company time. It is not hard to understand, in that time she could have processed someones season ticket.

Agree1 Disagree1

Get a grip man, who's to say she wasn't on a break!

12mill to spend, it won't get you many players, for example if the tie up improved offers for their top players, that will be a few million of of that amount already
when a club buys a player, they have to take into consideration the wages as well, so a 2 mil pund player on 20k a week over 3 years, means he is a 5 mill player

so that 12 mill he promises will beused mostly in new players wages, or existing players wages.

also the club can still go into administration if they lose the tax case, so all is not rosey, as Whyte is not all he claimed to be, and if you read the report he put out in full its not good reading

Believable1 Unbelievable3

To the celtic fan who wrote this i will try to explain it again on the debt we owe the banks nothing he moved the debt to a holding company incase we lose the tax case so instead of the tax office getting us the major debtor being whyte are you getting this because he bought rangers don't mean the tax issue went away on the other issues tell us were hes lied im fed up with this issue trying to explain this to the average fan the long and short of it is this we will be here next year and if we go into adminsistration well only chance celtic have of winning the league got it big rab by the way

I said it over a fortnight ago, Alan Smith will be a Ranger this season - FACT!

i hope this isn't true, the guy wasnt a very good forward so got put in midfield too play and hes even worse at that role, plus hes injury prone and very slow. so no thanks, this nonsense that hes a gers fan so we should sign him is a lot of nonsense, if hes not good enough then who cares he supports us! !

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I rekon smith would get played upfront again, i think he would link front n midfield and be a good partner will jela (if big laff dosnt get his chance, i personally think the lad has earn himself a start with jela next season)

He said rangers have knocked back bid for him from Bursaspor. says he doesn't want to move as heard horror stories from Kenny Miller and doesn't want to leave

He said he know hopes rangers now get him a new deal as doesn't want to go anywhere.

bary bannon is a die hard celtic fan :, although the rumours that have been circling that he is going to celtic are almost certainly not true! As he wants to fight for his place in the AV line up!

Editor and fellow bears . . After reading the leaked article stating Whyte's intentions. I'm interested in hearing your "opinions" of what this transfer window holds for Rangers in terms of additions to the squad. Mochaccino Latte

{Ed010's Note -In my opinion, I don't think anything will change from the figures promised.

I've got to agree with the ED on this one. I'm starting to doubt Craig Whyte myself. Why not just pay the debt off right away?? He must not be as confident as he made out of us winning the tax case. If we lose the case he still gets his money back as his company owns the debt now. Which makes him Rangers biggest creditor so he gets his money first. I think we are all burying our heads in the sand and if we get hit with a hefty tax bill and enter administration that's 4 in a row gone and Rangers FC as THE dominate force in Scottish Football all but finished.

Billyboy1!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Whyte is a conman and not to be trusted imo, hes only looking after himself and has lied already stating the debt was clear when infact it has only been shifted elsewhere, does anyone remember seeing this diehard at ibrox in the past few years or so???

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not convinced by Whyte myself, but not sure you've fully understood the reasoning behind the credit situation.

if Whyte had paid off the bank debt and then lose the HMRC case, HMRC are Rangers only creditor so could not only put the club into administration could also issue a winding up order to close us down for good.

With the bank debt now owed to Whyte, they could not legally issue the winding up order, only an administration order.

Basically, it's a clever way of protecting the club should the worst happen. Nothing wrong with that regardless of how confident he is about the case. In fact, I'd say it would be wholly irresponsible not to mitigate the risk regardless of how confident they are.

Agree1 Disagree0

Mate don't wory too much, i think you have read too much into this, the reason he has don't it this way is to save rangers not the other way about as he has stated if rangers win the tax case he will be putting the money back into rangers and if they don't we will go into admin but will come out of it shortly after it and he is in a win win situation

Agree1 Disagree0

What you mean too say is its a clever way to protect himself. .the guys slimey and stated the debt was clear when it wasnt, he won't be a patch on david murray

Agree0 Disagree1

No it means &you are too simple to see the wisdom in his method>

hi all :) some possibilites here on ins and outs, i'd just like to make clear, i'm not making these up, i have heard them from somewhere but wether they are made up or not, time will tell

Soooo. . Coisty has declared interest in Carlos Cuellar again and is supposidly pleading with Arsene Wenger to release Kyle bartley. Source: back page of sun

and Bursaspor have apparently expressed interest in Steven Whittaker. Source: A bursa fan on Twitter told me, (obviously not a reliable source but we'll see)
thats all for now :) Thanks :)

This is a bit far fetched but by reading the comments on this imagine these signings.

Carlos Cuellar (L)
Jonny Evans - Rangers through & through.
Young Danny Wilson (Always RFC at heart - his own words)

(Solid defence sorted out)

Torsten Frings (Solid legendary player in the middle)
Obertan (Tricky winger and creative)

and

Tomer Hemed (I know he's unheard of but he really is an impressive good player with a bit of everything and with already having people like big Laff and Jela adding to that could only be good)

David Goodwillie (Best young prospect in Scotland, Rangers through and through and him joining another club would be bad)

We are the people :)

Danny wilson an his family are all celtic fans FACT m8

I am not in the know, i don't know anybody's auntie or cleaner or dog but all the stuff on here is as the name suggests RUMOURS and mainly people wish list to be honest.

I don't doubt for a second that we will sign 3-4 quality players in the summer and we know ally won't dive in too early and have to pay over the odds for players Whyte is too savvy for that, whether any big names are actaully signed we will not know till they appear on the magnificent steps knowing thay have made the best move of their career.

Next season will be another battle with ally in charge but he has learned from the best.

Ray Wilkins to be appointed the new director of football at the champions. Source?
I am on coaching staff at Rangers- its only community coaching but we do hear a few rumours the latest is Wilkins in as D.O.F. and hes 6 ft 2 wie Curly hair, braces in his teeth but we don't care, Carlos Cuellar the Rangers Centre Half! IS on Coistys wanted list and a £3.5m valuation being considered by Ibrox Hierarchy and not £2m as had been previously mooted. Don't be surprised to see Bougie go to Villa (&£2m) or even Arsenal (&£1.5m) for Bartley. I know Villa are managerless but so are other clubs and they are buying/selling players.
Finally Gronigen CB Jesper Gronqvist IS Super Allys plan B for permanant CB if Cuellar deal can't be completed.

to ed i have read your link about the taxcase circular and must say it is completly mind boggling to me, i understand your concerns but i must add that i would find it even more mind boggling if mr whyte didn't live up to his promises why would u put yourself in such a position when u think nobody had ever heard of craig whyte before, what concerns me more is andrew ellis what is this guys take on it this it's the first he has been mentioned since the takeover happened but again i will state why would any1 take over the team with the world record championship title wins to run it into the ground unless he's 1 of them of course. what i will say also is there was alot of blogs from the dark side about this circular from the legal experts who know everything about RANGERS F.C. these are the same experts that said RANGERS F.C. would go into adminastration anyway rant over goodnight.
