Hope all this got to play the boy dodoo will stop now it's clear as day he is just as bad as the rest and another dud signing and same with hodson if he was to play week in week out that would show aswell both league 1 standered players not good enough just like pretty much the whole squad Wallace and miller aside.

07 May 2017 23:58:29
He's definitley not a dud he's just a raw talent with a lot to learn

08 May 2017 00:19:57
He's a striker stuck out on the left wing of a totally imbalanced team. A young raw talent. Why are you so keen for him to fail?

08 May 2017 01:32:02
I don't want him to fail it's just he is always getting mothered every week it's like put dodoo on when the fact is he has been on the bench because he is simply not good enough. And he is 22 next month yet gets treated like he some 16year old talent do you not think a player of 22years old who had any real talent wouldant of shown more than he has by now? He is the same age as hydmen and look at the difference in quality and hydmen even younger was playing first team at Fulham dodoo is miles away from that level and if hydmen came in and played poor he would be labelled a flop or dud so why is dodo getting away with it? He was a new summer signing yet It's clear as day he is not good enough so that to me is a dud.

08 May 2017 07:27:34
Agree deanobear never saw what people see in him I want him to do well but we have to face the facts he's not got enough

08 May 2017 08:12:20
Dodo was playing well for Leicester, highly thought of and they wanted to keep him. They are a better team than us at mo so that may show he has something in his locker. Played as striker there

08 May 2017 08:43:55
Not sure he would succeed as it's clear when we play Celtic he doesn't fancy the physical aspect of the game was clearly hiding in the recent game at Ibrox and didn't fancy it when he was brought on in the league cup semi

08 May 2017 09:56:11
He's a guy who has only played 20 odd professional games. He doesn't suit a 433. At the moment I see him as an impact sub but if he improves his hold up play I think he could be a regular. The one thing I've hated this season is our strikers always receive the ball with Their backs to goal.

08 May 2017 09:59:19
Just like most, no actually all players, if given a good run of games and getting upto game speed i can see him being decent, if played in his natural position and the creative players needed come to provide chances, i do see a good pkayer in him, maybe lacking confidence?

08 May 2017 11:18:24
He nearly scored what would have been a brilliant goal don't forget

08 May 2017 11:20:41
That's unfair I think miller and Wallace are good enough to play in league 1.

08 May 2017 23:46:46
What is the fascination with wallace? As i said over last few months tav constantly gets criticised for not tracking back or poor defending but wallace is the same if not worse. Forgetting last celtic game incidents in first game wallace was injured left back area looked significantly more solid than when wallace plays.

07 May 2017 22:40:31
Hi fellow bears the transfer budget situation I think if Pedro can't sign at least one player worth 2.7M then the alarm bells should start ringing guys I really don't see where Dave king is going with this but forget the 30M a minute if he wants to atleast challenge then 8M or 10M is required it's 100% fact you simply can't hope for success on freebie players and really cheap fees for players unlesss you get extremely lucky which I doubt .

edd could you run a pole on how much the fans realistically think should be spent? I'd really like to know what's going on here regarding going forward it seems there's no direction or hints as to how the club is going to be number one again no openness from the board and if dk does say something and makes huge claims after he hides in Africa it's going to be interesting when season ticket renewal ramps up .

{Ed033's Note - In order to create a poll, i need a question and a number of possible answers (to vote on).

08 May 2017 01:12:36
Rangers 1872B, you are 100% correct. We have to be signing players that will make a difference. This season is a prime example of what happens when you go for the cheap option!

£10m would help if spent wisely but realistically we need at least twice that for there to be any real hope of challenging for the league.

Unfortunately I do not believe that King is the guy to take us forward. Indeed I doubt there is anyone on the current Board that has the strategic acumen to take the Club forward.

08 May 2017 08:45:28
It will be around £2-£3m plus any sales which isn't likely to be much

08 May 2017 09:43:54
I think 5-8 million would put in a reasonable challenge, Pedro is going for better quality after all.

08 May 2017 09:56:24
I think we need around 30 million to challenge Celtic but I think we will be looking to 4-5 million tops

08 May 2017 23:57:44
We need quality. We also need quantity of quality The budget won't be there for the latter to happen. Next season won't be a title challenge. We need 3-4 quality signings each of next three windows. There are players there who could potentially do better with better quality in the team.

07 May 2017 22:19:57
McCoist did it, warburton did it now PC is doing it and playing players out of position. Why did he play Miller, waghorn, garner and dodoo together. How can he judge dodoo unless he goes through the middle. Waghorn not a winger, not sure what he is though and garner feeds off a partner in a top two.

08 May 2017 01:15:19
I reckon that Pedro has been trading water since he arrived, while he assessed what he had at his disposal. Worryingly, I doubt that he will be given the level of funding necessary to make a significant difference and as a result we will have another season of failure.

Then there will be question marks over Pedro and the real problem will not be resolved.

08 May 2017 03:12:54
Pedro could have played some of the young guys, but not all of them and had he not won he would have got pelters. Right now he is between the devil and the deep blue sea because he has players injured and most of what is left are not fit for purpose.

There will be plenty of quality players available for signing come June. Indeed he has given the Board a list of 10 or 12 potential signings and the ball is in their court to recruit the best six or seven of these. If they do then we should expect results from Pedro. If they don't then it is them that are to blame if we have another failed season.

08 May 2017 08:05:02
Because we are struggling for midfielders that's reason players are playing out of position

08 May 2017 08:48:05
TOMUSA

Realistically how many of our young players are ready to make the step up? The youth team didn't do that well in the development league and a few others are out on loan and couldn't play.

08 May 2017 09:59:34
Really don't think next season is going to be much better not going to get enough funds to be anywhere near Celtic but might just get secnd

07 May 2017 19:25:46
I for one am glad that the bread man managed to keep forest in the championship. Just means that when he comes to buy our players it will be more appealing to the player to join a championship team rather than a league one outfit.

07 May 2017 19:31:18
We can only hope that he wants to bring most of those that he brought to us move on to Forrest and that he is willing to pay a transfer fee for them!

Pedro needs serious money for new players and without that investment he will just be another failure, and so it will continue.

07 May 2017 19:40:14
He won't come in for our players. He has his daughter's clients on cushy deals already.

07 May 2017 19:45:30
If he takes any of the clowns he signed for us he will definitely be relegated next season.

07 May 2017 20:02:06
Would've been better if they'd gone down! They are League One level players that will not be bought by a Championship club!

07 May 2017 21:12:51
Hope he takes tavernier

07 May 2017 23:00:59
The problem is warbs knows how skint we are so he won't bid much money for any player he wants.

07 May 2017 18:51:06
Gutless performance today,2nd is now gone so let's use the last few games to blood the youngsters. garner waghorn dodoo windass please disappear over Hadrians wall, oh and tavernier too.

07 May 2017 19:17:26
Shocking performance even though we did win in the end
If our defence looks anything like that next season we won't be going far in Europe
I'm sure was after about 60-70 mins before we had a shot on goal against Partick - very very poor

Lots of talk about getting shot of half the team
I agree most are not good enough to wear the shirt but who's going to want to buy them

07 May 2017 20:57:01
Don't pretend to know anything bout the boy atakayi but let's face it he cudnt be any worse than any of the above so why not give him a go?

07 May 2017 18:09:03
Just want to point out that for the first time in possibly over a decade we had 4 academy graduates playing in the 2nd half. Bates/ beerman/ Barjonas and McKay. Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the game so not sure how young Jamie B did, but it seemed like a slog. But every cloud has a silver lining!

07 May 2017 19:31:45
Might be wrong but is bates not on loan at us from raith rovers? Hardly product of our youth?

07 May 2017 20:52:15
Bit of both really Paul 86.He came on loan from Raith originally and for the first part of the season played for the u-20's. Was signed permanently in January so did come from the youth team but t through the ranks at Auchenhowie
but as op states he is an Academy product.

07 May 2017 20:59:49
No he signed on permanent deal

07 May 2017 21:57:14
McKay was from Kilmarnock but I get what you mean.

07 May 2017 23:32:13
6 of the 10 outfield players that finished the match were 23 or under. 3 of them (beerman, bates and barjonas) have played less than a dozen first team games between them. Dodoo hasn't much more first team experience than that either. Windass, the oldest of the six, has been a backup at best all season and hardly played. Mackay, the most experienced, is still playing in his first full season in top flight football, which everyone too readily forgets.

We had another 2 teenage potential debutants on the bench. That has to be the youngest, least experienced rangers team to ever take to the field in a league match in our history. Let that sink in for a bit, all the critics on here, before roasting them for winning a football match despite playing as poorly as we have all season!

08 May 2017 04:26:52
Thanks all for the replies and agreeing with my point. I know it's hard to take many positives from that game, but 3 points and academy prospects on show is just what we needed. How did Barjonas get on?

08 may 2017 11:18:19
spot on spart7 if most of this team could stay together for next 2-3 years, this could be a very good team that cost buttons. could be!

07 May 2017 18:08:43
Ok we played well for at 10 mins the rest was gutless and pathetic What on earth did the fans come onto the park for It was against Thistle for gods sake! I hope the manager gets the majority of players he's after because the present team can't cut it and don't appear to follow what the manager wants ( I hope it's the players and not tactics ) Role on next season it must be better.

07 May 2017 18:53:21
Nothing to do with beating thistle. It was the fact we have secured European football.

07 May 2017 19:16:00
Going by that performance it really is hard to see who really is worth keeping in that team, as for waghorn another shambolic shift from him

07 May 2017 19:39:29
Why play Wags on the right?

07 May 2017 21:11:43
Why play waggy at all?

07 May 2017 21:16:49
Why play Wags at all? He is absolutely mince!

07 May 2017 15:02:27
thats why we are rangers!

great comeback

next year can be ours with that spirit

07 May 2017 15:18:24
What a spirit for 5 minutes

Can anyone tell me what the tactics are🤔

07 May 2017 15:39:13
The line ups/ tactics whatever don't concern me at the moment, what concerns me is his interviews where he is saying things like being happy with the players commitment after that win, that he has the best squad in Scotland etc, I mean, what is all that about?

When asked today if that win looked like it was coming and he expected to win, he said YES. Come on Pedro, you have to be realistic otherwise you will start to look a bit of a clown my friend. It was a terrible performance from a group of players not fit to wear the jersey, call a spade a spade.

07 May 2017 15:39:57
We have no chance of winning the title next year 3 years if we're lucky

07 May 2017 17:11:23
we are a depressing bunch. the man has passion. yes we are rank but I've seen more will in him than warbo.

we have made mistakes spent money we did not have, it no his fault and ceratinly not ours. get behind the team.

07 May 2017 17:34:08
We have no chance of winning the title until we secure serious investment and have a Board of forward thinking Directors!

Pedro will win this league if he is given the proper backing, otherwise it will be impossible!

07 May 2017 19:08:06
Tomusa how can you say pedro will win the league if he is given backing? Have you got some crystal ball? Has not shown any idea of how to organise a team so far. He will be gone in a season. He is the Rangers version of Ronnie Delia talks a great game but everyone can see he is talking nonesense. He is doing himself more harm than good. Get your head down and your mouth shut Pedro. If you do say anything at least be close to the truth instead of blowig hot air

07 May 2017 23:40:31
Yep agree with every word Johnnymac. Would love to be proved wrong but just can't see it. We are all over the place during games.

07 May 2017 13:17:48
This should have been team today.
Gk foderingham
Defence - bates hill wilson
Rwb - atakayi
Lwb - beerman
Midfield - tav and holt and mckay
strikers - miller dodoo.

07 May 2017 15:08:19
Missed the game today people, was it really as bad as the posts sound?

07 May 2017 15:42:38
Took until 83rd minute to get a shot on target against a pub team! That sums it up

07 May 2017 17:35:01
That is because it was two Pub Teams! We need a massive clear out and the acquisition of some quality new players!

07 May 2017 17:42:18
Can anyone tell me what the manager sees in Waghorn? Atrocious against Celtic twice but still starts. Was no surprise to see hooked before the hour mark complete waste of space

07 May 2017 19:21:53
Common RFCinfinity, i grant you it was a poor performance from us, but don't discredit partick thistle as they're certainly NOT a pub team!

07 May 2017 19:27:33
Atakayi is nowhere near ready for the first team. Why do people think he should be in the team? He struggled in the youth cup final 😔

07 May 2017 20:08:20
Sorry Supercoop but they are terrible! Aberdeen are a pub team too like it or not and they will prove it when they get horsed by some nobodies from nowhere in the Europe League qualifiers!

07 May 2017 21:46:35
Agree with RFCinfinity all Scottish teams won't be anywhere near the group stages of the Europa league we will do well to survive first round

07 May 2017 13:15:25
Ridiculous response from players who are potentially going to be shown the door!

Get the young lads on and three duds off.

07 May 2017 17:15:11
Pub team - think that's a bit harsh on the jags they are in top 6 on merit but yes a decent gers team should be putting 4/ 5 past them

Agree with Tom on our midfield if toral hyndman rossiter crooks kranjcar all injured and halliday is woeful (gives ball away for toffee) and forrester is never out the pub who else could we play in midfield?

tav in midfield is a decent shout but hodson and wallace both injured too so we are kinda struggling a bit for cover at full back as well no excuse just a fact bears

level of performance must improve tho waggy cannot keep starting drop him and what about playing miller and garner as a pair in a 4-4-2 with makay wide left

07 May 2017 13:04:19
Whats pedro going to say. oh i know sorry my fault again. Or i don't understand football. basically team with no midfield at all. 5 strikers. Stupid. Be better playing 352 or even hill and bates at cb and wilson infront. Manager has lost the plot. Complete idiot.

07 May 2017 13:42:32
It's not really down to him! You can play decent players in any formation and they will perform! This lot would be outclassed by my fives team! Utterly hopeless

07 May 2017 14:30:24
The reason he hasn't played a midfield is that we don't have a midfield! The loanees are injured, the only decent midfield players we have are injured. Who would we play, that waster Halliday?

What we are seeing now, is how pathetically poor the players are and basically that there has been little or no decent quality players brought to Rangers for the past five years. let's wait and see what happens for next season or whether it will be more of the same.

07 May 2017 15:01:26
Hate to say it but I just don't think Pedro is up to the job. And before people say there not his players it doesn't matter he doesn't seem able to set up a team. Mcleish would of at least set a team up properly.

07 May 2017 15:03:26
Miller, garner, wags? Only garner been up front. dodoo be better giving his top to a supporter to play. think he got injured with water sprinkler before kick off. on attack and what happens the ball gets played back to wilson? Great move let's hope 2nd have better lol yeah will be if we go away with a 1-0 defeat.

07 May 2017 12:42:55
Dont think they will be worrying about europe next season. Wont even be in it. Players don't care now when the manager has said he pretty much wants them gone. Pedro should not have said this for atleast another week. Another beating today.

07 May 2017 13:04:50
Another gutless 1st half performance. No passion no drive and no idea. Players on the park are stealing wages, cheating the support and treating us with contempt. They are disgracing the jersey

07 May 2017 13:39:50
They should be ashamed of themselves!

07 May 2017 12:15:05
Maybe playing waggy and garner is a good thing today as when they'll flop ped will see they don't have the right attitude to play for rangers. Hope to see barjonas, dallas and the finn all off the bench. Hopefully for once windass puts in a shift or he's out aswell.

07 May 2017 14:28:36
In my opinion Windass was brutal from start to finish and needs to go asap and take waghorn with him.

07 May 2017 06:50:48
Everyone on her rating rossiter hardly touched the ball to rate him, maybe there's a reason Liverpool let him go? Maybe I'm wrong but what has he done to be classed as a good player.

{Ed001's Note - he was let go because of injury problems.}

07 May 2017 10:58:44
What he's done is to break into liverpool first team squad at young age play in europe for them and be a stick out through the england unders team! Rave reviews from all over england tipped as future england captain etc! Having watched him myself on numerous occasions I stick by what I've posted here before, if he overcomes injury then forget broony armstrong etc rossiter would be top man in our lge

07 May 2017 11:14:28
Between rossiter, crooks, windass, senderos and kranjcar all seem to be injury prone, our recruitment by frank macparlane and mark warburton has been an utter disgrace for this season

07 May 2017 11:31:37
We have a bit of form in hiring players and having to wait for them injuring them at training

07 May 2017 12:24:28
Nic_861, the problem is that in his career to date he's only made about 10 first team appearances, including the 5 he played for Liverpool. It's easy to look good in teams full of kids but he's completely unproven in first team football. He's the same age as Dembele/ Tierney and they play week in / week out for the manky mob, Rossiter has to be considered a nothing player until he can prove otherwise. Plan for next season without him and if we have him available and he turns out to be a player then that's a bonus.

07 May 2017 13:50:22
Here here Nic_861! Exactly mate! For anyone who's watched rossiter playing they would think the same about him! He's a superb young midfielder! Hope he's over his injury hell and everyone who doesn't already know how good he is, won't be long in finding out how good he is!

07 May 2017 14:56:44
He's 19, still a kid, give him time.

07 May 2017 15:19:00
What I'm hearing is that Rossiter has a muscle waisting condition. His football career looks very bleak. That's why Liverpool released him. Just passing on what I've heard. Has anyone else heard this?

07 May 2017 03:51:49
4231 the way forward.

07 May 2017 11:13:22
Totally agree with Ped's words, a bit more muscle within our team

07 May 2017 02:51:42
Hope pedro throws in some of the kids tomorrow and gives alnwick a start.

07 May 2017 09:25:54
It depends how serious he is about this "cull" of players. If he is serious about certain players not good enough and being replaced then he should put them in. Change them today. But he wont. i think this cull talk is a load of nonesense. Rangers don't have the funds available to pay off 6 or 7 contracts and bring in 4 or 5 good players. Pedro makes a lot of grand statements but let's see how many are followed through. He reminds me of Ronnia Dalia when he arrived at Celtic. If Rangers get 6 players out the door and 4 in i think that's the best he can do and then its down to the new ones being significantly better. So today i don't expect him to give any kids a chance as he is going to need that same squad next season.

07 May 2017 10:38:07
Hoping to see as many new faces as possible now that we have no realistic chance of second place.

I see Celtic threw in a few new faces yesterday and both apparently slotted in well. I don't see why we can't do the same.

07 May 2017 11:33:45
If he plays players will he get the same pelters on here as against the Dhims

07 May 2017 12:17:53
Naz, did you see the youth cup final? There is as big a gap at that level as there is in the first team. Maybe even bigger.

07 May 2017 11:53:03
Exactly DEEB. He had to play young Bates due to injuries and he was getting slated ( with some on here predicting a record score in the semi final yet this came in the league game with the more experienced centre half playing? ) .

07 May 2017 14:53:45
Todays team just shows how much we need to change the personnel. 4 strikers playing, 2 as wingers and 1 as a midfielder.
