Supercoop would you give Murty a chance next season? Ed any chance of a poll. Would you like Murty to be manager next season please?

Murty Manager Poll

08 Apr 2018 23:10:02
Been a long time reader of this forum so hi.
Just watching scotsport on bbc. How can they be unbiased with guys like micheal steart?

Anyway, as much as i'd like a proper title challenge the sheep are our target this year. but the shaggers dropping points just shows that mckinnes wasn't the right choice. he's just proved that he can't get his team up for a chase / title challenge everytime his teams have been asked questions they've bottled it.

Now, i'm not a murty for manager fan, but i do think he'll get us second, but i also think the mhankies will just eek us out of the cup.
p.s. i had a few drinks!

08 Apr 2018 23:07:19
Why is nobody mentioning harry redknapp? great motivator and wheeler dealer.

09 Apr 2018 13:09:23
Because he’d bring Niko back 😂

08 Apr 2018 17:33:14
Anyone think Ashley will come back and try take over possibly bringing manager? Obv when Newcastle deal is done.

08 Apr 2018 18:48:28
LT36, apparently the sale of Newcastle may be back on. I bet Ashley would love to get his hands on our team but would our supporters be in favour of it?

08 Apr 2018 19:19:43
Not entirely sure I’d feel although if he was bringing ready cash and willing to spend it then does he deserve a chance? Mabey whatever happens I can’t see murty attracting many big names so a reasonably profiled manager is needed before the cash injection

08 Apr 2018 21:42:33
No and No and No!

08 Apr 2018 22:33:07
It's not always managers that attract players to clubs. It may help but £££s and using the old firm as a stepping stone to the English leagues is what they really come for.

08 Apr 2018 23:33:17
Its been well documented that the Newcastle fans are not in favour of Ashley, i'm mot entirely sure why that is but i do know he did part with some serious cash. My question is does he see Rangers as a better advertisement than Newcastle? Would he invest heavily in Rangers? Would Rangers be more stable?

08 Apr 2018 23:37:04
Here we go again with Ashley thing no we don’t want him back he is hated by a lot of Ibrox supporters nd will never be excepted so give it a rest . and reading about the stuff that went on with green and white years gone by he was behind so no we don’t want him near Ibrox

09 Apr 2018 00:05:42
We have a very short memory. Ashley tried to asset strip Rangers when we were at our most vulnerable and we will let him back in. Not for me

09 Apr 2018 10:59:48
Just to clear one thing up Goalie he has not parted with serious cash on Newcastle. Their net spend on players since he's been there is about £4m a season roughly and that's before you start adding the ludicrous tv money. Any other money spent is owed back to Ashley or SD.

Fortunately for us it wouldn't make sense him giving up a massive cash cow to invest/ blow tens of millions chasing a Champions League dream that is fading further for Scottish clubs every year. Celtic have been run prudently and have had CL money for years yet they can't compete with smaller English clubs financially. Do the math

09 Apr 2018 15:40:04
FFP would kick in re investment

09 Apr 2018 16:47:13
Bigmarv. Ashley didn't invest much this season, however he spent 40 million last season. I wouldn't say no if he were to invest that sum of money on Rangers. The reason he didn't invest is he has been trying to sell Newcastle for a while now. A billionaire investing in Rangers, sounds good to me.

{Ed001's Note - he never spent 40m. They made a profit in the transfer market last season.}

09 Apr 2018 17:07:15
Ed your absolutely right Newcastle made 40 mill by selling players, however he invested the same amount, not sure if it was the same season though.

{Ed001's Note - when? The only money he has ever spent was buying the club, other than that he has only taken out money in salary and fees. That is even without taking into consideration the tens of millions of pounds in free advertising he gets for his jumble sales and that is lost to Newcastle by having to run free ads for those jumble sale shops.}

09 Apr 2018 17:17:45
Goalie I think you really need to speak to speak to a proper Newcastle fan as to how much he's made from them and why they despise him so much. As Jboy17 points out FFP wouldn't allow massive outlays with no potential return anyway. He would not, could not, and will not invest the amounts your hoping for. Investment is required, but we must live within our means sustainably. Not to mention what he was doing to our club the last time he was involved. Please forget about billionaire sugar daddies!

09 Apr 2018 17:33:07
If that's the case Ed then no wonder the Newcastle fans have had enough.

08 Apr 2018 15:16:59
A week has come and gone and no word of anything about investment from Canada! Also reckon the De Boer chat is nothing more than chat but Miller coming back and the service from Murphy and Candieas make me optimistic for next week. That manky mob are there for the taking. Miller time is upon us! cannot wait!

08 Apr 2018 16:03:31
Have remained optimistic for a while now that we can win next week and go on and lift some silverware under Murts!

As for investment from Canada, you won't hear anything unless the Takeover Panel approve King's plan. WHich I don't personally think they will - and no that has nothing to do with what begging bhloggers might be saying.

08 Apr 2018 16:30:22
Agreed the rotten Rob will be excited about their Griffin but come on with Miller back on form we will see who is the best finisher. I also can't wait

08 Apr 2018 17:45:34
No comparison Govanor-Miller on his day is worlds ahead of that wee ned. I see Miller as a future manager

08 Apr 2018 17:48:13
That would be miller, who should have had 4 yesterday!

08 Apr 2018 17:58:42
'There for the taking' - you lot crack me up. You just never learn. We have played way below last years standard and you've still not managed a win this year. Can only imagine the scenes if you do happen to win. It will be Patrick away pt2

08 Apr 2018 18:16:11
Will be interesting to see how long Brenda lasts after we get it together. Even if we don't put you out the cup, you are still there for the taking! Hope you've enjoyed your time at the top because it's coming to an end

08 Apr 2018 18:22:17
they are definitely there for the taking. What have they got their hopes on a scheme wee runt. Well said GH1872 . Brendan won't last they are showing week in that they have been found out

08 Apr 2018 23:38:30
@marty88 - you have the fear about coping with the Timplosion when we knock you out the cup. Why else would you come on to the most successful club in Scotland's page? Brenda's 2nd season meltdown is still on. He'll be back in the EPL at a bottom 10 side soon enough. Roll on Sunday!

09 Apr 2018 08:57:35
Apart from his goal which was well taken Miller was poor. Missed another 2 sitters and didn’t get involved enough. It would be a major mistake to start him on Sunday

09 Apr 2018 13:00:20
"That would be miller, who should have had 4 yesterday! "

Em. considering he only got one that's a bit of a contradiction considering we are talking about best FINISHERS! Dear oh dear

08 Apr 2018 14:50:36
What a difference a week makes gentlemen. Our performance yesterday had me eating my own words. I have just fleeting watched the rotten Rob today. They are nothing. If we play half as good as we did yesterday we will destroy them next week and bring back some much needed silverware home.

08 Apr 2018 15:06:36
Nail on head mate, that performance against Accies shows me they are beatable! We were immense yesterday, next week can be step one-kill their treble then look to next season. They will not get 8 let alone 10. Dare I say if Murty had started the season we would be a lot closer and maybe ahead!

08 Apr 2018 15:17:28
Aye been blowing hot and cold over Murty but well said . Had he been the boss we would definitely just be behind them at worst. The cup is coming back to the sooside

08 Apr 2018 17:52:47
Settle down guys, we won with a lot of huffing and puffing and miller should have scored 4 ( he scored with the hardest one! ) . THEY didn't even break sweat and now the Hobbit is fit and scoring again.
Did we not learn any lessons about mouthing off before the last game!

08 Apr 2018 19:13:47
bil 72 you're spot on. Let the team do the talking on the park guys. There was a lot of mouthing off before last game and look how that turned out.

08 Apr 2018 20:36:37
There's no mouthing off. Fact is they are ordinary and were lucky to beat us last time. Wait till Hampden we shall be victorious

08 Apr 2018 22:09:24
I predict a 3 nil annihilation-the time is ours!

08 Apr 2018 13:56:59
Now i'm only asking for fellow bears opinions here guys! After reading ex hearts manager,
robbie neilson's interview this morning,
regarding how he was prepared to wait for his next job, it got me thinking regarding our manager's job! Does any fellow bear, think robbie neilson would be a good appointment for us, to be our next permanent manager?
He has the experience in working well, with a director of football! I actually thought he did a terrific job at hearts and done well at the beginning, with mkdons! They say behind the scenes at mkdons he's actually done a lot of terrific work, that will only be noticed in a couple of years from now!

08 Apr 2018 14:09:38
Coops i would be very disapointed if we were even linked with him as our new manager if we can get 2nd and win scottish cup its got to be murtys job if not we need a manager with a proven track record

08 Apr 2018 15:10:13
Supercoop. Would you prefer Neilson that Murty?

08 Apr 2018 15:50:04
Goalie i think you know the answer to that mate but i'll answer it anyway! I'd prefer graeme murty as he like i've said 'till i'm blue in the face, knows the structure of rangers from top to bottom, he's had 1 impressive transfer window, with our DOF mark allen! With another few transfer windows I honestly think we would improve again! Give murty a chance is what i've always said! I honestly only see murty getting better and better as a manager! I only hope its with us! What about you goalie, who do you prefer murty or neilson?

08 Apr 2018 15:59:13
Supercoop, its Murty for me. This will probably stir things but i thing Murty would work better without a DOF. i'm saying that because i'm not really a fan of Directors Of Football.

08 Apr 2018 16:05:07
Peronally I think we should lay off speculation on the job at least till after the semi. let's get behind the team instead!

08 Apr 2018 17:09:28
Wouldn’t let Robbie Neilson near our club and Supercoop you just about link everyone to us why even bring Neilson up not as if he’s linked to us

08 Apr 2018 17:38:05
I brought neilson up as we haven't a clue who our next manager will be and he's already worked up here with hearts under a DOF! Get over it gersman, i never said neilson was linked with us! I merely asked the question as like i stated above, we're all in the dark regarding who our board of directors will choose as our next manager!

08 Apr 2018 18:55:39
Here here Supercoop, I've been on this site for a while now and have come to realise you post valid and accurate information. Respect my man.

08 Apr 2018 19:08:27
I’m not saying he doesn’t post reliable stuff but the Neilson post is crap it’s as if you just post stuff like that out of Bordem between that and the polls it’s no wonder you get some information correct as you post about everything and anyone

08 Apr 2018 20:13:55
Now now gersman don't be jealous pal! Just because goalie gave me a much appreciated compliment doesn't mean to say you start throwing your rattles out the pram! Behave yourself for god's sake! Its glasgow rangers football talk and debating!

09 Apr 2018 09:00:49
Neilson would be another terrible appointment and wouldn’t last longer than Pedro. Why would we want a guy who failed at the MK Dons?

09 Apr 2018 09:09:39
Gersman

I wouldn’t bother what supercooper says as he is known for backing everyone and anyone for the managers job. He also has a habit of trying to imply he knows what’s going on with player signings at the club and names everyone hoping he gets it right. He also was a big supporter of Warburton and Pedro and wanted a statue erected for McParland. However he could make himself useful by telling us all his picks for this weeks Grand National so we know which horses to avoid. Honestly never known anyone who can back so many losers

08 Apr 2018 13:50:35
Can we appeal Alfredo's yellow?

08 Apr 2018 14:32:23
nope!

08 Apr 2018 16:06:10
Yea. Lafferty appealed a yellow for diving and won it and I fully expect we'll appeal on behalf of the Buffalo!

08 Apr 2018 18:08:36
There at least has to be a case for appeal, the keeper was down injured and had to go off with injury, which means there was contact of some sort

08 Apr 2018 10:41:33
I'd consider playing Holt against the unwashed. Any thoughts?

08 Apr 2018 13:52:03
He was playing really well then Murts dropped him?!
At least he gives 100% when he plays. Might need that energy in the midfield next week.

08 Apr 2018 13:58:46
But "Murts" has visions of us being the Scottish Poundland Barcelona, so will go for luxury players instead.

08 Apr 2018 14:02:01
We most certainly will need energy in midfield next week! We will also need guys who'll stand up and be counted in the midfield battle! Not hiders! We need midfielders with real physicality, who are prepared to go in where it hurts, just like they have with scott brown! No place for slackers next week guys!

08 Apr 2018 15:54:30
So how about Halliday and Holt, complemented by Murphy, Docherty and Candeias? The two 'H's would not lie down against Broonie and co. From what I saw of the Hamilton game today, the unwashed are nothing special.

08 Apr 2018 19:21:05
Halliday actually played well when he came on, could have played his way in

09 Apr 2018 13:02:40
Holt got suspended then never got back in the team when we were playing well. He wasn't 'Dropped'.

08 Apr 2018 10:41:24
well all the morelos haters will get their wish now he can't play against them. miller missed two sitters and nothing said. all i ask is people to be fair and consistent in their comments. my preference anyday is moelos over cummins. cummins can't hold frontline, never has and never will. sure morelos isn't scoring enough but he is young and holds the ball up. rarely pushed off the ball either.

08 Apr 2018 11:30:58
Completely agree

08 Apr 2018 12:14:17
My point to a T Cummings isn’t strong enough to play up front on his own Morelos is a worker defences are on their ties for the full game he holds the ball up he wins his fair share in the air he’d always be my first choice

08 Apr 2018 12:28:04
Think murty will throw miller in against them knows how to play lone strike and knows how to score against them!

08 Apr 2018 13:03:28
I just don’t get the Morelos haters this young lad has come over to a new country midway through his teams season and he hit the ground running he has hit a bad patch on the scoring front (scored yesterday) but his work rate and closing down the opposition is tremendous look at the goal he set up stealing it from the defender yesterday excellent he will bang the goals in again I am sure of that remember McCoist and hately didn’t bang the goals right away and we were all on there backs we know how that turned out two of the best strikers we have every had is it just me that can see the running and shutting down he does for the team I just don’t get it so come on guys let’s get behind this young talent we have he will come good again rant over 🇬🇧

09 Apr 2018 13:03:34
Morelos misses next league game not cup game?

Review Of The Day 8th April 2018

08 Apr 2018 07:20:06
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 8th April 2018

08 Apr 2018 00:43:45
If Dundee wanted a draw there's a good chance they would have got it they came thinking that a win could be possible. Why it was open
Dundee set up for a draw with the unwashed. Don't know why bears are pointing out the unwashed could only manage a draw with them. Semi out the way and start worrying about the last few games. As killy hibs celtic except the draw have bossed us. Even the 2-1 win agaisnt hibs they took us apart.
Should be killing games off we have the players good players but see them out of position running about clueless running wild. we Need a strong captain who'll keep them in shape in control. tavs is not the man for the arm band.

Next sunday If we keep our shape and press them at every chance. A win could be on the cards we have the players with the utensil to do so. Take control of the middle of the park control brown he is getting well above his station.

08 Apr 2018 08:56:12
You make some good points and I agree with most of them. We need to be flexible and able to change formations when the situation demands it. The key will be McCrorie imo. He can slot in as part of a back three as well as in midfield. We have the players to hurt them and you're right, it is time peanut heid's arse was put back in a sling the way BF used to do

08 Apr 2018 09:31:50
We need strangle the midfield and press them high up the pitch and not allow them time to have shoots from edge of box and play with high intensity if we do these 4 things then we will have a good chance of geting a result.
Also miller can not start he will just slow things down to much
