Just seen a video of that Vladislavs Gutkovskis. Looks like a quality player good amount of pace and height. Just what we need to back up Waghorn. Fair enough he had poor opposition but with a bit of magic from the hat could be a great player.

08 Dec 2015 23:27:52
Spot on Matthew94 he certainly knows we're the net is 👍.

09 Dec 2015 04:40:16
So did Clark before we bought him.

09 Dec 2015 11:56:01
I was excited when we got Clark young with a lot of potential the sort of player we should of been looking at if the Latvian is no good it won't cost much to find out but I think he will be.

09 Dec 2015 18:24:25
We all know Clarke's a trier and shows plenty of enthusiasm but he can still trap a ball further than I could kick it.

09 Dec 2015 14:06:02
Latvian guy looks good, however he is running onto through balls (a bit like o'halloran) , unfortunately we don't get that much space playing against a ten man defence camped along the 18 yard line.

Maybe next year? Onward and upward.

08 Dec 2015 12:43:16
Notwithstanding that the money issues would probably rule it out, Naismith isn't a regular starter for Everton right now (he is usually in the squad) . He can score goals and torment defences. What price Warburton signing him in January? As I say, the wages issue would probably rule that out! Other target could be Jordan Rhodes of Blackburn and I don't think they'll get promoted this season. More realistically though, give young Hardie a chance, as I've said on here before more than once. There - silly season is over from me!

08 Dec 2015 13:43:49
Jordan Rhodes would cost more than 10 million pounds,

08 Dec 2015 14:16:06
Naismith on 40grand a week no chance of him coming back.

08 Dec 2015 14:24:43
all this talk about giving Hardie a chance ect, The management team see this boy in training everyday yet will give more games to miller and clark.

08 Dec 2015 13:13:52
Doiger, sorry mate I can't agree with you on Naismith, and I can't see many others being in agreement mate. the guy flew out the door, he hardly kicked a ball for us in two seasons. all medical bills paid, plus was on full pay. that's me putting my opinion of the guy nicely.

08 Dec 2015 14:09:35
Sorry but Naismith, I will never forgive, plus rangers couldn't afford him or Rhodes but as I said him and Whitaker hopefully will never wear the blue of Rangers again. all they had to do was get a transfer fee, like Steven Davis did.

most rangers fans would have realised they were far too good for the 3rd div, I just wish they got the club money before leaving, but I will never forget that interview the two done, sitting there as if they were heart broken when what they done was took advantage of our clubs situation by not signing they made themselves very marketable in the process, we all know the money we got for Davis was way under his valuation but at least he got us something.

08 Dec 2015 14:55:39
Billy and tp9 - agree 100% re Naismith and Whittaker. Good players who would undoubtedly help the cause but sorry no thanks. Couldn't wait to desert us. Done the right way, yes, but I for one will never forgive them.

08 Dec 2015 15:47:53
Got to agree with the Bears not wanting these guys back. Espically with the guy who clammed to be supportors when playing for us that couldn't wait to go. These are the ones who should have been first to nail there colours to the mast your Naismiths and Davis I know there's an argument that we got some money for Davis but he was the captain and should have led by example and we needed him most then. i'm not a fan of bringing players back either never the same.

08 Dec 2015 15:23:50
Why the hell would we want naismith back. the boy couldn't wait to jump ship. him and whittaker will not be welcome. any player with rangers at heart would have said, i'll stay till next window, then i'm off. At least you get money for me then. mind you, the dastards in charge would have pocketed it anyway but they weren't to know that at the time.

08 Dec 2015 17:22:52
I don't blame any of the players for leaving. It's a short career and your out to make as much dough for yourself as you can. The team went down the tubes and were being relegated to the lowest league in the land to play it's football. I would've been off anawl. I don't get why people take the hump for players looking out for themselves in an obviously treacherous time. They never take the hump when the club looks after itself by selling our better players for £ whom don't want to go for the shareholders to make a few extra quid. I'm quite glad they left and we never got any dough for them as we all know it would have been stolen like all the rest of the money. Yous should be glad we never got a fee for them ffs. I would welcome back Naisy no problem. He would be a perfect fit for our team. He can score playing through the middle and can play out wide.

08 Dec 2015 17:26:24
Don't know what planet your on of you think we have a chance of getting him in January. Apart from the transfer fee and wages I don't want someone who deserted the club back.

08 Dec 2015 20:17:22
Am with u stevie the money would have been robbed anyway!

08 Dec 2015 19:21:07
Loved Naismith when he was with us but totally agree with the posts above. Until we r promoted we can forget anyone in that callibre but delighted with what's going on in such a short period of time. Warburton signing holt, waggy etc shows he has a real eye for talent spending buttons so keep it coming.

08 Dec 2015 18:39:26
Blue bear stevie, Naismith lay on the treatment table for 2 seasons while injured, I can't imagine many other clubs getting him the best doctors and surgeons, and physiotherapists. all done for free while picking up full pay and bonuses for finishing league position, the other players enabled him to collect his bonuses.

I wouldn't like to bump into him at the stadium let alone bump into him anywhere else mate, for fear of confrontation and I'm 25 years older than him, and I know he would definitely come away with another runners up medal.

08 Dec 2015 23:58:11
25 years older and he would take second prize? Aye nay bother pal.
So you think that him getting injured and Rangers fixing one of their assets up is a special case? Tell me what teams you've seen that's sacked one of their top players after he got a bad injury? Your anger and frustrations should be channeled elsewhere. ie Green, Duff&Phelps, White and all the other robber barons.

09 Dec 2015 10:28:04
Stevie I get the fact the club might not have got the money, but Naismith was meant to love the club, that's the bit that most of us will never forgive and btw that's how big lee mcull and big captain fantastic lee Wallace and Niel Alexander can dine at ibrox for life, the only 3 players that stood by us, and I know big lee was older but Wallace was in his prime and for that it will never be forgotten.

09 Dec 2015 14:04:28
With stevie all the way. All these posts about naisy coming off second best in a confrontation is childish. The guy played his heart out when he was on the pitch and done his best for the club when playing. He may not be a john greig but he was always there when required.

Tp9, As for jig and alexander you are talking nonesense. Jig would have struggled to get anywhere else and alexander still held in the same regard after taking rhe club to court. I'd say that's worse than naisy going to another club for no fee.

09 Dec 2015 14:30:42
Andy. It was the way he and Whittaker especially chose to leave. I understand these guys did not want to play in the lower leagues. I get that 100% but do things the right way. If Naismith loved the club like he said he would have made sure we got something back for him when he left, irrespective of whether or not the money was frittered away or trousered by Green or whatever. Guys like Bocanegra, Edu or Goiain left the proper way with dignity and professionalism. McCulloch, Alexander and Wallace all did things the right way and speaking of Alexander all he did was make sure he was paid the money he was due when he left. What's wrong with that?

09 Dec 2015 15:05:26
When he knows that the club was still struggling he goes back in to pull more money from them.

He may have done what was best for him but the same can be said for whittaker and naismith.

I agree that things may not have been done in the best ways but with so much dodgy business going on at the time then i wouldn't want to point fingers at the players. God knows what deals were going on behind the scenes that could have influenced their decision. Just don't think the vitriol is going to help matters.

09 Dec 2015 13:49:56
Green was asking them to take pay cuts to stay, hand on heart I would have to leave as well. But if any of such players who refused to transfer or resign, I would take Sone Aluko and John Fleck still only 25-26. he was a good young player, played for the shirt but had a bit of nonsense in him as young boy, but at Coventry he has been a sensation and has grown up.

He's now a solid grafter, and helps that he is a mad Bear like Halliday. He didn't just leave because of Charlie Green if you remember, he and McCoist did not see eye to eye, the famous training ground bust up over a bucket of chicken.

09 Dec 2015 15:09:02
Blue bear stevie, I've been having a go at duff and phelps, green, white, every one of them, I told everybody on here the people I've mentioned would end up in court charged with fraud. I predicted that over 3 years ago.

09 Dec 2015 18:57:54
Andy
Take your point about vitriol and infighting. It just makes my blood boil when I here Naismith's name linked with us. Don't get me wrong the guy is exactly the type of player I love but unfortunately I can never forgive him, especially after we supported him through 2 career threatening injuries.

09 Dec 2015 20:35:47
Some aluko would be a perfect signing.

09 Dec 2015 23:34:58
Blue bear stevie, so Naismith collects 2 years wages for lying on the treatment table, then flies out the door shouting we are not the same club, and you think that's okay.

10 Dec 2015 04:16:56
That's how the cookie crumbles Billy. Look at how the boardroom changed, it was all vultures tearing the club to shreds. Was that the same club he joined or grew up knowing and supporting? If you don't want to see the back of that then you'd be foolish.
I would love a workforce of people like yourself if i had a company going down the tubes. You would stay and work for **** all wouldn't you!

10 Dec 2015 22:17:39
Blue bear stevie. If the company had just paid me 2 and a half million for lying on a table for 2 years then yes I would have stuck around to see what was to come of the company, it's called loyalty mate, some of us have it and some of us don't eh, it's not like we asked him to pay any of the millions back to our club, plus he is a millionaire through our club.

08 Dec 2015 10:03:07
Danny lennon quits alloa how long till scottish media has warburton odds on favorite for the job 😉.

08 Dec 2015 09:10:12
Next three games - Morton, Falkirk and Hibs - are very important in the context of if we'll win the Championship this season. Two are at home but the Falkirk game away won't be a walkover. Any predictions Bears as to how we'll fare in these three games and who should play in these important matches? Worst scenario is that if we win all three we'll be at least six points clear of Hibs. Onwards and upwards.

08 Dec 2015 09:58:54
Doiger, imo we'll win all 3! For the record I think we'll be more than 6 points clear of hibs once we beat them at ibrox on the 28th of this month. I think they'll drop points before we play them, we've also got to remember we're 17 goals better off than them and that's like an extra point!

08 Dec 2015 14:23:26
I hope you are right. Hibs look a better side at the moment and have real momentum, would be a telling blow if we can beat them.

08 Dec 2015 14:57:26
Do u go watch hibs luigi? how do they look better? we won our last 2 games 4.0 what more do u want!

08 Dec 2015 14:58:12
We should really have beaten Hibs at Easter Road. I don't agree that they are better than us. The table doesn't lie.

08 Dec 2015 15:31:19
Hibs are flying just now and if u can't admit that then open your eyes and wise up a bit. we have a title fight on our hands. yes we won last couple games 4-0 i think but hibs been doing that for months. now there's been too many games lately we win by a goal that 3 points can easily turn to 1 point here and there. if we can get at least 7 points i'd be happy. do i think we'll beat hibs, 50/50 hope so. if we can end the year maybe 6 points ahead, then spl here we come.

08 Dec 2015 16:47:36
Sorry davie I don't agree hibs are our main rivals just now but imo after the new year a really think we will streak away from them. i only see hibs losing players in the window while hopefully we add players capable of walkin straight into the team. Hibs are on a run sure. but they are not walkin over teams like us they get the first goal then sit back defend and try to hit teams on the break and it works for them. As for us winning our last two games 4-0 u said hibs have been doing that for months they have scored 4 goals twice in the league 4-2 Dumbarton 4-1 St mirren. Maybe I am over confident but the magic man has us playin fabulous football and i can't wait for every Saturday now. Not because we are in a title race. just to see the Rangers.

08 Dec 2015 16:58:17
The gets will get 9 points out next three games, his will get beat this sat face Falkirk, come the first week in January we will be no less that 9 points in front, sorted.

08 Dec 2015 18:43:36
East 107 I think much like yourself mate in fact I think Falkirk will finish 2nd behind us in the league. and that's not even considering hibs losing players in up and coming window.

08 Dec 2015 21:54:13
I at no point said hibs where not rivals or did I say they where not playing well! luigi said they r playing better than us unless he watchin them week in week out how can he come out with that! hibs will give us a run but we will prevail in the end am confident at that I don't need to wise up.

08 Dec 2015 21:32:28
Davie, hibs have been flying for months? 17 goals of a difference. Hibs have beaten the same teams as us and I disagree because we are by far a better team than hibs. Skelped them in the kick about cup and deserved to beat them in the only game in the league we've lost. Can't believe all the negativity all the time. As one of our greatest captain's once said and I quote, "the rangers fans are the hardest in the world to please" (Richard gough btw)

09 Dec 2015 09:06:22
Whilst I agree Hibs are our main rivals in this division they are by no means our equal, we are by far the better team, yes they have a decent midfield and a good striker but we are a far better "team", no need for the negativity, the sign of a good team is the ability to get 3 points when things are not going your way, the championship title will be ours and then onwards and upwards.
