one consolation is that 13 players are out of contract in June, including Black, so whatever payrise he has got, will only last four months -heres hoping they all get put out to grass and by then we will be looking at some decent relacements.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Couldn't agree more weebill how did you find out how many of them are out of contract?

Black has for me been a disgrace to the side for a long time and the standard of his crossing and passes is pathetic. I remember seeing stats on Xavi and Iniesta at Barca passing % wise and they made say 160/250 passes and completion was 93% and 97%.

Blacks stats are a quarter of the amount of passes and 20% completion even worse success with crosses 1 completed out of 6 in tims game. just on the last 2 games he is at pub football team level of football. I can't imagine just how bad his stats have been for the season? Any Bears out there have those stats?

Regardless he is just plain s**te.

McCulloch, Black, Smith, Boyd, Foster, Moshni,
Daly and Aird are all dross to be got rid of urgetly.

surely there must me some mileage in paying off McDowell from Ashleys slush fund? He can't be on anything like McCoists £800k so eliminate him before he makes the damage irreversible!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was told he was on £400,000 a year not sure if that is true?

anyone who is surprised at the result or shocked these results will contnue until we get a coach in who knows what he wants and how to get it if the don't put super ally mark2 out to cut the grass get someone with imagine ation inthe crazy thing is we have some decent players who could catch hearts with someone decent at the helm

There are many posters on here that thinks a King victory on the 4th. March will resolve all our problems. The truth is that the damage done by Green and McCoist is not an over-night fix and if, as expected, the great ownership of Ibrox debate goes south, then the cat will really be amongst the pigeons.
Personally, I think there will be more twists and turns before we see any light.
Being totally honest, our team will never be the same and I, for one, want nothing to do with the uof and sons of struth etc. They are not a true reflection on the genuine fans sentiment, who actually find them more of an embarassment to us.
The one thing that is guaranteed is they will let us down with the planned protests in London and city investors will walk away for good.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

My sentiments and fears too

Billy b king and co getting a result is not cut and dried modi buyng shares could upset the apple cart just another ploy by ashley and co

Agree0 Disagree0

City investers have been scared away by this board not the fans there will no investment from any of them for a long time going by the atendance most fans are voting no to this board sos have uof have best intrest of the club just like all rangers fans we are in this together but we have to be clever and do not turn up in london in our thosands this is what the boatd want so they then can cancel

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigwull there are no shares to buy, the guys that are a the club the now own 26pc even counting shley 9pc so that's 35pci think the easdales and Ashley share combined add up to 26pc they are beat, all ends up , let's wait and see, that's all we can do but mr king is confident in getting more than half the total shares, and I believe him, remember there are only 81pc shares out there, so if mr king is sure he has over 51pc that only leaves 30pc, that's why I think Ashley's shares and easdales proxy only totals 26, but hey I've been wrong before, but not on this occasion, IMHO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb I'm perplexed at your assessment that the s. o. s etc will be a cause of embarrassment and disruption at the egm.

Surely anyone who takes the trouble to travel to London to show their feelings should be applauded rather than criticised?

I'm not saying I agree with everything they do, however a show of support for people with a genuine affinity for the club trying to win back control can't be a bad thing.

I've seen enough evidence of the calibre of man Ashley trusts to run our affairs to realise he must be stopped at all costs.

While I wholeheartedly agree that if king and co win control things won't change overnight I firmly believe the whole sorry saga WILL START to change. The immediate removal of that excuse for a board sounds good to me so let's do that and see where we go from there.

All going well we are about to start the long journey back to where we belong, but in order to that we need to take that first step. We can't do that if we are fragmented which is why it's vitally important we all get our combined weight behind those who are trying to initiate change.

Providing any mobilisation to London is organised in the right way and passes off without incident then shareholders should be influenced in a positive way.

Agree0 Disagree0

How come big wull

Agree0 Disagree0

Cicsy, Anyone that wants complete change of our current set up I will back 100%. However, your final paragraph is the main problem as that won't happen.
For starters, comments like '' it will be the biggest mobilisation since Manchester'', in my opinion, shows the intent.
If they want to show decent intent send some representatives down with a statement of intent and a petition signed by every fan, shareholder or not, who wants change and ensure every proxy vote backs King.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigwull I can't see many people selling shares before the e. g. m. IDE imagine a large increase in share prises after the e, g, m. So people might sell then, but I still think most people that want change will keep there shares.

Guys I really fear for the future of our club and what we have become.
I have never seen such total dross from a full team. Yes a player can have a bad game or the team does not play well, but what we have is a 11 - 12 well paid professionals not even trying

I'm sure the players are just going through the motions as they are on well paid contracts

I can see Friday's being another embarrassment,

How can Ian Black be on 10k a week
£520K I have see more class at the over 40s five a side I play at. No wonder this team is a bust flush if we pay duds £10k a week.

Thank god we are out of the cup as we did not need yet another SPL team or Timmy giving us a massive defeat as this would only highlight how far we are off the pace.

McCulloch, Miller, Boyd, all good guys but well past it now. Black is a liability and as for the young lads who will never get a chance at Rangers because of the mess we find our self in due to the poor management and horrendous board of directors. This is my last post I don't think its worth commenting any further as its game over for this full squad and management and board. DK will need to rebuild a full football club from the bottom up.
Back to the Souness days. Start at the back, Goal keeper, centre half, Midfielder and striker. and build a team round a group of 23 to 26 year olds mixed with young guys who will get a chance.

We need a manager who could attract good players and again I would comment Alex Ferguson and an assistant like one of his old Man United boys Scholes, Philip Neville or some one like that.

It is time for change so let's have a major change and let's get the best on offer.

David Weir could also be part of the coaching staff.

I seen billy davies going into ibrox today through the main stand front doors along with gordon dalziel, my message is get billy davies in as manager now and place kenny mcdowall on gardening leave before its too late and we won't get up even through the play offs

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You think Billy Davies will do any better than kenny? He is hardly arsene wenger or Jose mourinho

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2015 22:26:24
Broxi bear could do better than mcdowall!

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen my good friend, billy davies is streets ahead of kenny mcdowall as a manager/coach, his record in the english championship with all the clubs he's managed is very good, he holds the record for the manager with the most manager of the month awards, he commands respect and in my opinion would get thebest out of our players as we have decent players, he's a terrific coach

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he does not command respect!! He has off field issues galore, far more than just the swinging, which affect his ability to manage.}

He has been sacked from every job he has had. we don't need Davies we need a miracle.

Ed u are 100% right his personal as it is he should never be allowed up the marble staircase with past like his never

08 Feb 2015 19:15:14
Ed I was just looking at some of the young Scots players down south Dorrons, mcarther and young Hanley at Blackburn do you think they would be on massive wages? We are probably light years away from attracting players like that, but that's the sort of players I'd love to be signing if we could ever get are act together

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Feb 2015 19:25:38
big mike has played a blinder sends us 5 players getting them of Newcastle books now 4 injured did they even go for a medical before they came rangers will not start winning games till the whole midfield is rebuilt and big lee is removed from defense along with goalkeeper simo an foster at right back
i mite get slaughtered for this one but what does wallace give the team apart from pace can not shoot or cross a ball and his defending work is practically non existing

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Feb 2015 19:57:55
Yes, you could have a point about Wallace, I have found him disappointing of late, but maybe that is just an overall state of mind right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's sad to say but every player has gone backwards under Gers coaching over last few years. McCoist and his back room team have ruined players and developed nothing. Lewis Macleod was probably lucky to leave when he did before his development started going backwards! We see it now that even Wallace has gone backwards. It's a damn disgrace what's happened to our club and McCoist and co have to shoulder some of the blame. Player development can't be blamed on board and I hate to say it but this team won't make playoff place at this rate!

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2015 20:22:25
Wallace has steadily got worse every season, no doubt the brilliant coaching he is receiving, Wallace, Shiels, Templeton, boyd, mcgregor, daly, Clark, law and even black have deteriorated since coming to rangers even the mccoist and mcdowall apologists can deny that,

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2015 20:03:45

Two good things about today's match. Young Murdoch got a run out and only 11,000 were at the game, thereby minimising how much money the corrupt Board can get their grubby hands on. What a ludicrous situation on the park too. McDowall still in charge, yet working his notice and not remotely interested in being there. How the hell can the players respond no matter how pathetic they are? Just shows what this Board is all about. The sooner the EGM comes round and King kicks this lot out the better. Meantime, we shouldn't expect to be in the SPL next season as morale will continually to plummet until things are resolved off the park. Very sad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Doiger, The saddest thing about this post is that you genuinely believe this rubbish.
Firstly, the board did not put this squad together.
Secondly, if you think all will be well, assuming King wins the egm vote, immediately afterwards you are deluded.
Most importantly, the best thing that could happen is that we don't get promoted and today's result was a godsend. Could you imagine this lot taking on the east end boys, at the piggery, in the quarter finals.

Agree0 Disagree0

I personaly think boycotting is going in ashleys favour. the ore loans he keeps giving us that we can't pay back the faster he gets everything for nothing

08 Feb 2015 18:40:29
So on the back of one of the worst displays by a Gers side since ermm last Sunday we learn that wee sh black has received a pay rise what next our keeper simpleson given a lucrative 3 year extention to his woeful existence at Ibrox it's like open mic night at jongulers one joke after another.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Feb 2015 18:32:48
Cant believe people are blaming young murdoch's introduction for the result? I would rather a team of youngsters who give 100% and not win every week than watch these "players" we have in our team at the moment. The only way they'll get better is by playing and learning. Its a no brainer for me, it can't exactly get any worse than it already is. I would rather see murdoch, Hardie, Walsh and the likes in the side ahead of black, smith, foster, mcculloch, law, miller and boyd. Our team is a joke.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To be honest haven't read any blaming the youngster but if they have then it has to be the most short- sighted analysis I have heard as I thought the boy in the short game time he got actually done all right and put some of our superstars to shame. Just read about blacks wage increase! Flabbergasted, why didn't they just drop him til end of season and save their money like what happened to buffer years ago

Well lads yous wanted Ally out and you got your way have things got any better for you? A lot of the posters on here today are posting from the comfort of your living rooms venting your disgust on your keyboards you must feel proud.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Feb 2015 18:40:10
I'm afraid this all started from the last days of Walter, then Ally, then Kenny. They all had and two still have these lovely contracts that drain this wonderful establishment.

Today was an embarrassment. Totally agreed, they are not fit. Full timers vs part timers and oh so slow.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jyf

ally made this team what is is and mcdowall hasn't changed anything of ally's amazing tactics and he plays the same players so how can you justify your comment we are in this state 100% totally down to mccoist

When we get a new management team in that changes things and introduces this strange new football concept called "tactics" and having a "game plan" we may finally see the embarrassing clueless football being meated out to us for 3 years ENDED.

mccoist planted the seed mcdowall allowing it to continue growning it is now time for weed killer and a new gardener lolol

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

Jyf, what point are you trying to make. Are you hankering after the good old days when ally was lording it over our free flowing football team. the reason we are so pathetic is down to a scandalous mismanagement of the playing side of the football team, irrespective of the stuff going on upstairs. don't underestimate the damage ally, kenny, durranty and the rest of the coaching staff have had on the supporters. jyf you are blind and daft a lethal combination.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mccoist has a lot to answer for it was under his watch that this team was built you could see from the performances last year we were scraping results so going up a level needed better tactics than a jig long ball and why did he start today infront of mcgreagor?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Jyf you might get ally back as King has not ruled it out, and with Smith possibly assisting to choose the man to take us forward, who the hell knows?

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 blind and daft? I could throw it right back at you if you think we are a better team without a support behind us and if you think McDowell has improved the team or even if you think we have stood still. Most of the players were a disgrace today perhaps because they are infected by the apathy that now surround Ibrox. There are thousands of people that played their part in our defeat today but Ally? No fraud not last two times he played raith he won 6-1 and 4-0. I've said it before it's easy to boycott your team from London and it's easy to come on here after the game and criticise you probably all got a stonner when you seen the size of the crowd.

Agree0 Disagree0

JYF, I have been a supporter for a very long time and would never wish anything bad on my team, how can you admonish Ally of any blame for the football we are watching just now, wonderful striker but history will show him up as one of our worst managers ever, the fact that you still stick up for him after all the bad decisions he made makes me think you really are not a football fan possibly just one of the dimwits that has attached yourself to the club for other reasons. Stonner just about sums you up.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2015 17:52:36
Another terrible display to-day. However stop blaming McDowall, he's been told what to do by this horrible board. He has been put in an untenable position and has been blamed, unfairly, in my opinion for the shambles that has been created by this board. Roll on the EGM, I know where my proxy vote will be going.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Feb 2015 18:10:19
That's all well n good mate but the thing that gets me is no matter who we play we don't even look as fit as the opponents. The call themselves professional coaches and players well the first thing they should be is fit. For instance Wallace and Foster used to have real pace, its not there any more. Is that through poor fitness or lack of effort? Either way its unprofessional, it won't stop them lifting their professional wages. If any of us worked for a company in trouble and displayed the same attitude, would we still be there? Or sacked?
The running of the business no matter how poorly run is nothing to do with them, the players n coaches, they are so called professionals so its time they lived up to their job title and huge salaries.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cmon. he put a boy on for daly. and he follows that up by puttin a player that hasn't played foe weeks on. and he lookin overweight.

he is clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with what you are saying, too a point. I honestly believe that with every poor decision McDowall makes, he is sticking two fingers high in the air for this board to see. He's saying to them "if you think it is OK for you lot to rape this club every week, then us underlings will do the same thing until you are gone" Just an opinion!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rm ranger fosters lack of speed is down to his age.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is this not McDowall's fault. You didn't need to be Columbo to realise that if you play the same players as Ally, the same formation and the same tactics wouldn't you expect the same results that got Ally sacked for? He doesn't want to be there and it's quite clear him and the players have downed tools

Agree0 Disagree0

Canadianblue: Do you seriously think McDowell is trying to spite the board? Well we would all be better off without him, we have enough grief without a manager deliberately inviting problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay let's put Kenny on gardening and give the job to durie who will do the exact same great idea.

Agree0 Disagree0

@scojo
You are missing the point, we would definitely be better off without the board.

After 3+ years what have we achieved? Despite all the financial capers, We should at least have a team of academy players and good signings bedded in for the push into the spl.
Instead there will have to be a big clear out in summer, ( if king gets in)
So back to square 1 then.

Spot on mate 3 years wasted on the playing front and one man to blame for that, throw in the 3. 2MILION in wages drained by him and mcdowall/durrant.

That said a total revamp can be put in place in March so that we can have a shot at aplayoff win.

Personally thinking with my head I would say maybe giving the new management team and possibly Magath restructuring the youth set up and scouting an extra year to bed in the new style of play I am expecting we will have might just be the best thing to happen.

We all know how much pressure having to face 4/6 games aginst celtic places on any manager far less a whole new structure. It has the makings of the most amazing comeback story ever but in reality us being pumped by them 5-0 a few times and the confidence of the team being affected not forgetting how the fans would react to the management.

I think an extra year preparation may be the best thing for Rangers in the lomg term. Mind also that gives us 3 signing windows to rebuild with whilst the club undergoes it's massive corporate finacial rebuild.

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree, I think we will struggle to make play offs, and then struggle even more in them. whoever comes in will still have to work with same shee-ite as we have now. they're not suddenly going to find fitness, team shape and tactical awareness if the regime changes. they've been crap for too long. we might just have to write season off.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2015 18:24:28
There's no point in blaming the coaching staff the players that were brought in are players that where not wanted by there clubs so in other words C*** we could only take free transfer players hence the reason there here apart from telfer & mcleod the youth are also c*** or teams would've came in for them as well, apart from temps there's been no money to sign players and improve the squad so u pay for what u get in football and we paid sweet fa and that's exactly what we got f*** all, only interested in wages the lot of them if they got paid on performance they would be going to food banks the lot of them. NEVER GOOD ENOUGH TO WEAR THE BLUE JERSEY!
r. f

Agree0 Disagree0

Rf I don't agree, we could easily have a team that is as good as hearts or hibs or qos come to think about it. A decent manager would have done so much better than ally. ally got away with murder amidst the chaos, any other time in our history he would have been outed a lot sooner.

Sorry mate the special one couldn't coach this lot they can't even do the things that shouldn't need coaching like pass the ball, and for weeks we've been asking them to try and build from the back instead of big punt up to whoever and they wait until today 30 secs of injury time left 2-1 down when your crying for the ball to be punted up into the box and they decide to play it from the back f@#$%&* hell aaagghh I'm away to get p*****.

The least we should be is fit and athletic. The ref was crap. A decent ref and Black would have been off. The result flattered us. Good to see Kenny Miller getting fired up with team members (these guys are not team mates - you would give 100 % for a team mate).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Feb 2015 17:26:41
After watching todays debacle I think the board should resign. Give Mr Ashley the club and get rid of all the players who are finished e. g. Kenny Miller, Kris Boyd, and the rest of grandads army those days are truly gone now the club can be saved and if we all do the right thing I feel Rangers and Ashley could be a good business proposition for all involved parties. I won't speak anymore of the total futility that surrounds the club now but the sooner it moves away from. THE OLD WAYS AND OLD DAYS the sooner it can be healed for good and I m sure with the demise of the sectarian element which ruins everything about the club we can and will move on to better things like a solvent business footing and some kind of success on the field through time. absolutely disgusted. they should still be in league 2! who in their right mind wants to support a lame duck.

macdowell should hang his head in shame
puttin on a young boy . for daly . blew this game

kris boyd on . hasn't played in weeks and has put on about 10 pounds of weight.
macdowell go away son you're out of your depth

Agree0 Disagree0

Blame McDowell all you want the fact of the matter it's 11 vs 11 and our 11 were bad the players should be good enough to go and beat any team in this league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not even a real surprise that result. Anybody still thinking we can challenge Hearts is absolutely deluded.

Time to give some of OUR youngsters a chance. The policy that McCoist should have embraced three years ago.

Anything has got to be better than that shambles today.

Agree0 Disagree0

What difference did subbing Daly make?Zilcho. He was blowin oot his arse and done nothing anyway. You really think McDowall is out his depth?

Honestly this can't go on, what else can happen to us now. We won't win any trophy or league for at least 3 years and that's being hopeful.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Seriously calm down ally and mcdowall are the cause of this joke play.

March the 5th King and 3 Bears will immediately start the restructure of EVERYTHING at Rangers. King has stated that clearly. The stadium will be sold out every game after that and new management team will sort out these lazy zero confidence wasters until playoffs and summer we can sign 10/15 out of contracts and youth players from scottish and english leagues.

We will be a different team in one month trust me mcdowall is a joker as a coach and manager reflected by performance on the park they are not all bad players.

I actually agree with radio commentatos bring in a few of the youth players they cannot be wrse than black, smith, mcculloch, aird, foster and boyd

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Weebill we are second tp with 2 games in hand and even with mcdowalls disgraceful management we will clearly be in the top 4 especially bearing in mind that on march 5th after EGM victory mcdowall and co will be history as will half the players

There is no need to completely distort the facts due to you being upset

i am goerge

Agree0 Disagree0

Even wallace has caught the disease. Raith guy went past him as though he wasn't there. Putrid

Agree0 Disagree0

George - it doesn't matter if we are second top, the play offs mean we may have to beat either Hibs, or Falkirk or maybe QOS and then beat Ross Co or maybe St Mirren in order to go up.
Bear in mind, even you don't like what you see, can you feel confident of going into the playoffs and winning these matches. I can't see it

Agree0 Disagree0

That is hardly bottom two and relagated is it?

Your meds seem to wear off mid afternoon bill and you go loopy

We will be in the top 4 and in March the whole structure of Rangers from playing to management will be immediately dealt with King has stated not a day will be wasted and we will then obviuosly play better and I think we will win the playoffs. To be honest if they do the changes quickly I feel there is an outside chance of catchig Hearts we play them 3 more times!

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know where you live George, but I really think you need to get the local oxygen checked. I don't appreciate your constant insults just because someone has a different opinion from you, but if you are typical of the Rangers fans out there, we are DOOMED AYE DOOMED!!

Agree0 Disagree0

George do you read all the other posts?? the team, club, management, directors, stadium, scouting are ALL pathetic. This is not a unilateral opinion, it looks to me like a pretty unanimous opinion, so how does it feel to be the only human on Mars >>>>>>ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Weebill it is a banter site I am joking as I assume you are not actually on meds?

Your point of view is wrong we are nowhere near relegation and will make the playoffs we are only 3 games away from EGM date when everything at Rangers from board to management will be rebuilt from scratch

So to state we will be lucky not to be relegated is nonsense and emotionally driven despair

The total negative and doom attitude is what happened in 80s during stadium rebuild and new firm era when fans had your "we are doomed" attitude and disappeared for years with Arbroath game 9000 attedance.

I kept the faith those years sitting in the centenary stand through years of sh*te football and the likes of Billy Urquart playing for us.

We are still Rangers and we will be back in a month with men in charge that we know will rebuild our team

We are not doomed we have never been doomed in the past and in future

I hope in 2 months you can come on here and take back your negative doom attitude and support your team again.

A boycott does not men we do not still love and support Rangers

George I never implied that we would get relegated, I implied that we would probably end up staying in the championship.
Deep down we both want the same thing but it is looking less and less likely for a long long time

Wee Bill Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

weebill before you go for your 6pm nap

Read what I actually said

Rebuilding the Rangers set up from boardroom to management, players, youth set up and scouting is what King and 3 Bears new era will be doing starting immediately. He stated that clearly.

A new management team will completely restructure the team set up in weeks and more importantly for the few good players in the squad that are just lacking confidence, coaching and tactics/game plan, these players will be rejuvinated under a new management team. Add a few from MP and 3 of Newcastle boys the squad gets refreshed instantly.

Look at Scotland prior to Strachan a joke, no passion, bad tactics and no desire. Strachan and McColl come in and the team with basically the same squad look like a great side and organised with tactics and great set pieces. Our results have been amazing since then plus exciting play and every player giving their all.

Put a good management team in place and the same will happen at Rangers

Now Bill time to switch the computer off, let the orderly take you to your room and have that cup of Horlicks and a wee nap before supper and time for Antiques Roadshow at 8pm

Facts and banter is what this site is about ask the other inmtes they will tell you that is what a Banter site means

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

I am george, question. If as you say half the players go after 5th?March. who plays? Stuck with the squad till the summer even if Roman Abromovich steps in! And the current squad are not good enough by half! So lay off wee bill and have a look at yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks mo89 -nice to get some support. I think George unfortunately can see only one opinion (sadly)

Agree0 Disagree0

Maurice

I am having a wind up with weebill are you his nurse?

The squad we have has I reckon 9 good players (just lacking coachimg and good tactics) some promising 3/4 youths at MP and I am hoping 2/3 of the Newcastle 5 will be good players at least better than most of our current squad.

Bell, McGregor, Wallace, Faure (rated before he pointed out cake eating lazy squad), Law, Hutton, Temleton, Shiels and Clark (I still think Miller can do a job in a good team with a good manager).

I would round that up to 17/18 players with youth from MP and 3 of Newcastle players.

A good manager will get the best out of them until we can bring in out of contract players and eventually sign a new batch of young players sourced by new management set up.

So Mo I hope that answers your question. The lad that came on today Murdoch is highly rated as Telfer and McLeod were and can make the grade under a good manager. MP has 2/3 others coming through very highly regarded.

I am sorry to be posting during your nap but seriously I agree with positive post on here loads of times have a look through last few weeks including 3 today I agree with, what I do not do is agree with everyone or disagree with everyone. In general I agree with some of your posts too but then you take your meds and come out with something that is doom and gloom or nonsense and I reply as it is a banter site to express our opinions on as Rangers fans

I cannot help the fact that your meds have this affect on your posts

The only thing that would improve this team is if they didn't bother turning up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Surely the Ally apologists will now disappear from view. no matter how bad things off the pitch are, surely any decent coach would have gotten a better tune out of this lot. decent players demotivated, demoralised by clueless tactics, mystifying coaching sessions, and a patent lack of conditioning. we can't keep up with Raith players!

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2015 15:40:16
The 2 Newcastle boys look to be sharp and up for it with a bit of ability too.

How long do you think it will take before our 'management' team coaches that out of them?

I would love to hear from them how they feel about our joke set up compared to EPL

i am george

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree George they did look quite good, but it now looks like there's only one left fit now. The dead ball and crosses are still pathetic and to me it reeks of no confidence. The crowd, or lack of it is definitely doing Raith a big favour!!
It is like a team who have never seen each other before -and Hutton?? better with Betty Hutton

Agree0 Disagree0

Confidence, game plan, fighting spirit, crossing ability and pace/fitness ALL MISSING

Management to blame for a few and the players the rest

mcdowall is now a hinderance to Rangers even more than ally was which is saying something he is just clueless and how he EVER bacame a coach mystifies me

i am george

Agree0 Disagree0

Lee maculloch is now becoming a total liability I booking should have been 2 stamped on raith player and is about as mobile as bull elephant although kyle hutton I could neer make up my mind but has done not to bad today a run of games might come on a bit yet

Agree0 Disagree0

George the blame for on field problems can only bev put fairly and squarely on macoist and his coaching team now carried on by macdowall

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccoist would've beat celtic and raith, as kenny miller says he was the glue, so no Bigwull the fans are to blame

Agree0 Disagree0

Laylex

Seriously? Ally McCoist? The guy who had us knocked out every cup competition ever by Alloa, Raith, Maribor etc etc etc the tactical genius the Mourinho obviously phones for advice.

mccoist would have had same set up as mcdowall and stood like a person with arms folded at side of pitch and we would have been outplayed as we were under mcD

still cleaning up the floor from pissing myself at the funniest post of the day

I know he ain't the greatest, but I feel we are missing Aird today, I would put him on in the second half, he at least has pace and often creates chances, right now we have nothing as far as chances go.

I can't believe what I'm watching, this is not the Rangers I support and love watching. it's so obvious that the players are not even trying and just going through the motions

apart from the obvious lack of money coming in again today, the empty atmosphere in the stadium is achieving absolutely nothing except to affect the players.
This I playing into the oppositions hands surely?

Agree0 Disagree0

Black just hit a 5 yard ball straight to the feet of Raith player where it was simple to find a Rangers man running down the wing

1) why are Black and Hutton in the team?

Roll on the day we get King in and a new head coach/manager with a bit of flair!!

Shocking selection today. I know Mcgregor had a poor game against celtic but McCulloch has had a poor season. I take it the other new guy must be injured as he isn't in the team?

Where is Zaliukas?

Agree0 Disagree0

Black and Hutton play because they do there job central midfielders win the ball pass keep possession, the question is why is Nicky law playing he is our attacking threat who does nothing, shiels and Templeton deserve a chance and he deserves the boot

I note Dave King in the Scotsman today claiming innocence over any role in the crazy overspending policy of SDM when he was on the board. But the reason he gives is interesting. He says he was "led to believe that SDM's personal finances could cover the spending. " Let's think about that a second. We know now that that SDM's personal finances in fact could not cover it. So is DK saying SDM lied to him? Is this the first public admission from someone on that board that SDM had got out of control, knew that himself, and was lying to board members to cover up his financial recklessness and to keep on spending? Or is this just another example of the "glib and shameless liar" DK telling his gullible audience what he wants them to hear? I wonder if Paul Murray will come out and confirm whether SDM lied to him about the spending too? We shouldn't take this latest statement by DK lightly - it is proof that one of "our own" has been lying to us - either SDM or DK.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pauline I think it's quite easy to work out, well for me anyway, Though I've not seen the comments you refer to, I think with mr king still wanting to be involved I will believe him, and if I get the chance I will ask him, by saying that I mean, there is more chance of meeting mr king than David Murray eh, we're is David Murray? I wonder, as far away from our club as he can be.

Agree0 Disagree0

So are you trying to say that murray fronted up and said his finances were in ruins but will you comply with my spending of millions more with no hope of paying it back? Really. As for your"one of our own is lying" history tells you who that was

Why can't we get a coach in its imperative

I'm not attending the game today but I will be watching on tv but I wonder if Mcdoughnut will field these Newcastle boys and still apply the same long ball, hit it and hope for the best tactics. I'm glad there is a good few contracts up soon but if king doesn't win egm then I wonder where we will be next season maybe we will be Newcastle B team.

if I was Kenny, who I admire btw, and I didn't want these guys here, I would start them all (30, andd if things weren't going gr8, sub them all, as early as possible, he is the coach/manager and wouldn't be doing anything to effect his contract, jus a thot, but don't be surprised if he does that to stick his fingers up at them,, they may be very good for the club over the remainder of the season, ( not a lot to beat admittedly), I hope so, but they will be taking their orders from larry the lambias, no, one else, could be an interesting game

Agree0 Disagree0

I just don't know where Mcdoughnuts head is at using the same tactics over and over again same as mcoist I mean you would think he had some ideas being involved in coaching for years.

3rdly. I suspect you havnt seen any of these boys playing, maybe the boy for NI but that says more about you than me, read it again, and get an adult to explain I actually said they may be very good for Rangers, / didn't you see that, or were u busy on your scooter / I simply suggested a way Kenny could perfectly legally, sub 3 of them,. and by the way brainy, there are only 3 at Ibrox and fit to play, DOH

Dave king's interview in several tabloids this morning is worth reading, especially his take in identifying who the next glasgow rangers manager is going to be, seemingly king if he wins wants to bring john greig & walter smith back to rangers with smith having a big input in who our next manager should be, king says the next manager has to be more of a coach as opposed to being a british style manager as he would have to build us from scratch which would mean identifying & coaching young talent and moulding them into a team that plays a fluent, attacking, modern day brand of football, I would like to start a rightgood debate her ed with everyonewould do we want as our next head coach/manager?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Feb 2015 10:57:20

08 Feb 2015 11:02:59
I really hope when king and Co put the current regime to the sword on March the 4th they don't go down the path of bringing in former players to coach /manage the first team that said would love to see Neil Mccann involved with a decent European style coach taking care of our younger player's at M. P so with that in mind i'm going to suggest someone like Thomas Tuchel currently out of work having coached Mainz to promotion and then keeping them well up the German league each year before stepping down in 2014 after five years. He's not been actively looking to get back into football until the summer of 2015 so no compensation and his wages were in the region of £1m euros a year, age 41 well worth a look read his profile fellow bears we could certainly do a lot worse.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2015 11:12:44
If smith has a say don't be surprised if the woeful mccoist makes a comeback!

Agree0 Disagree0

No. 3, king said today that it won't be mccoist, no chance mate, remember in an interview last week walter smith spoke very highly regarding derek mcinnes as the next rangers manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Hooly78, it was not denied by King, who simply says he does not think McCoist would have any interest in it, but with Smith involved, who knows? It is time King categorically stated that McCoist would NOT have anything to do with the playing side at Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

Based on 2 things

1 What King said about rebuilding and coaching from the bottom up

2 McInnes being at second best team in SPFL currently and in middle of building a good team I feel he wouldn't leave

I think King and whomever selects manager candidates will go for a European coach who has shown ability to coach youth and the reserve team so Cathro fits that bill. But I feel they will pick a British manager from one of the top young English managers like Gary Rowlett the Burton Albion manager or Karl Robinson at MK Dons or one of 3 others you can see on Google top 5 rated coaches in the English Leagues even if you are not involved in the game. My choice would be Dyche the Burnley manager who is doing a great job and is very highly regarded. That said were McInnes to say he was interested I would want him he fits the bill for me with Magath for everything from youth development to setting up an effective scouting system.

I think its high time the AIM actually enforced their own rules. This so called board are duty bound to act in the best interests of all shareholders in the company. Since the company was listed on the AIM I don't recall many instances where this has actually happened. There are many, many times when this AIM rule has been broken, but still no action. This years accounts carried a warning from the companies accountants of there fears over its ability to keep trading. Our so called boards answer, borrow more money several times culminating in a possible £10 million debt. Then they have the audacity to boast of this in a notice on the same AIM, its time they enforced their own rules!

On a second note yes I can see shifting the EGM to London to put the same shareholders they are supposed to act in the best interests of off attending is another breech but I think there is another reason for the shift to London. Fat Mike maybe wants to attend and can't be arsed travelling up so his puppies have brought the meeting to him, that and the extra costs and jolly boys outing paid for by the company that can be blamed on Dave King, everyone'sa winner except the majority of shareholders but who cares about them? The AIM? It doesn' look like it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said RM Gers. I think holding the EGM in London will backfire on this corrupt Board. However, I would urge fans who don't have to travel to London not to do so. There will always be troublemakers in a large crowd and the last thing we want is adverse publicity because of crowd trouble in London. It would also give the Board an excuse to cancel the EGM. All shareholders should either vote at the meeting or arrange for proper proxy votes to be made on their behalf. Let King and the others deal with the Board and let us ensure that all the votes are cast, but for goodness sake let's not provoke trouble!

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Feb 2015 10:59:34
Couldn't agree more Doiger its votes that will get rid of these slimey greedy aelf serving morons not shouting or worse. They will use any underhand tactic to keep others out who want to look at the books I think for reasons only they will know the full extent of. I think even our beleagured support is in for some shocks with what will be found. One instance for starters is players wage bill is reportedly £6 million a year and the total wage bill is £14 million a year. The only football club in the world where non playing wages are 33% higher than the players. I can't wait to see what the long line of 'consultants" took on a monthly basis. Also the ghost invoices from companies with links to board members past n present taking tens of thousands a month not to mention the puppet master fat mikes lucrative deals, obviously for him not the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommy I tried looking up the legality of holding the e. g. m.
