I was reading barry ferguson's column in todays daily record regarding baz comparing jason holt to ian durrant, what a compliment from baz for young jason holt as durrant was an excellent midfielder, I really rate and like holty and if he can anywhere near durranty's level before his injury then holt will undoubtedly become a rangers legend as I've predicted he would do anyway.

OK folks just watching the Liverpool game and although it's only Exeter there is two players shining out for me and I reckon we could get on loan I would say the young boy Kent playing wide right but likes cutting in and has skill and pace in abundance also young Jerome Sinclair looks good. What you think fellow bears.

{Ed001's Note - Kent just got recalled to play in the first team, so is unlikely to go out on loan again. Sinclair is in the middle of a contract dispute with it running out at the end of the season, so again unlikely to go anywhere.}

08 Jan 2016 21:49:13
Boy Nichols for Exeter looks a great player, best on the park.

{Ed001's Note - which one? They have two, Adam and Tom.}

08 Jan 2016 22:04:42
You never know in football Ed and yeh I agree young tom Nichols looks great.

09 Jan 2016 01:07:27
agreed tom sinclair has a bright future also thought ojo was great when introduced, young powerful direct fantastic loan signing in my opnion.

Guys, I am getting fed up with a lot of your negativity with regards to how we will cope with" players from lower leagues" all I want to say is just look at the jambos and what they have done. The have an exceptional chairwoman and manager and have worked wonders with a limited budget and excellent management practices. I bet the likes of Dundee Utd, Kilmarnock and the like would love to have their philosophy on board.

So, all I am saying is, I recon we are well ahead of the curve and the jambos In that respect so with a a fair wind we will be in the top three in jig time and pushing cellk and getting pretty close.

Have faith or I will send Robbie" trainspottin" neilson round with a few o the lads. Only jokin rob you are doing a fab job as is your superb Mrs budge.

I love the transfer window. It's the only time my phone battery dies Hahaha :)

08 Jan 2016 16:07:10
like the look of the brentford lad
#diagouraga. looks like a wanyams type of strength. maybe more defensive but a presence . also good to see as I previously mentioned our maestro getting his red reduced to yellow. deecee.

08 Jan 2016 18:27:51
I have a nasty feeling of Déjà vu coming on in respect of all this signing nonsense . "Dundee United rejected a bid of just over £500,000 from Rangers for striker David Goodwillie. "
Whyte played us the fans with talk of millions for spending etc etc etc remind anyone of someone now? I bloody hope not.

08 Jan 2016 18:59:28
By god your negative ally! Most definitely a half empty glass person!

08 Jan 2016 19:51:31
Here ad take goodwillie to play upfront.

08 Jan 2016 20:45:44
Cee, that is not a bad shout because there is a good striker, in him, waiting to get out, and Warburton's tactics would be perfect for him.
Went a bit off the rails and he has something to prove. He is 10 times the centre "griff" is, and Ibrox would be his perfect stage.

08 Jan 2016 23:00:34
Goodwillie better than griffiths? u can't be serious wae that shout mate? just because he plays for Celtic!

08 Jan 2016 15:55:21
personally if the manager is signing players he already knows
then we hope that this will take us to the next level to compete
next season
we will have also to consider some like bell may well have their contract terminated which will cost the club if as the manger says he wants a lean squad.

08 Jan 2016 18:01:53
Yes out of contract at the end of the season.

08 Jan 2016 14:23:58
We are all coming in our pants about 2 players from A. Stanley. With all the money Dave King says we've got do you not think we should be buying established players rather than getting 2 players from the bottom league.

08 Jan 2016 14:31:49
Couldn't disagree more, we've done that before and got us nowhere, this is getting rough gems that could end up top players, i trust warbs completely.

08 Jan 2016 14:40:53
Isn't that how we got in trouble before? give mw and dw a chance! I have total faith in these 2 guys.

08 Jan 2016 14:45:33
Waghorn, Keirnan, Tavernier, Foderingham and Halliday weren't playing in the top league.

All start on a regular basis.

What benifit do we get from over spending on "established players"?

Every fan should be positive about Windass and Crooks. Not because Arsenal may have attempted to sign Windass in the past or because English Championship teams were after them both, but because we all have Confidence in Warburton.

The man has changed this club completely in a short space of time and every move he makes benefits our club.

08 Jan 2016 15:35:53
I agree Dave King is a guy that likes his sesational soundbites and headlines and really hasn't lived up to what he himself mentioned in these interview, however I far prefer having him in control rather than the shysters that we had this time last year.

Also, he may yet provide these funds in the summer for a push when and if we enter the premier league, who knows? . What seems to be overlooked in all of this is Warburton's business model. He has never been a cheque book manager and likes to identify hidden gems and bring them on. He values a hungry player over a player that thinks he has made it already.

Some fans make out that Warburton may want bigger marquee players, yet we are having to settle for a lower English league caliber, because King won't produce the cash. I don't think for one minute that Mark Warburton would go out and spend £4 million on a player even if he had it at his disposal. He is the new type of moneyball modern manager. Astute, does his homework and man manages.

If and when King provides the cash, it will never come via a headline "Dave King makes £20 million available for transfer targets! . " Why would you even publicise that, its automatically going to push up the asking price on any transfer target, with their club knowing our budget. It was mentioned at a time when Mr King wanted us all to back him. I agree, I don't like these making a mockery tactics that he sometimes deploys.

We are doing it different direction and far smarter than we ever have done before. The product is great, we don't need marquee signings only good players that will try their best, kick on, use us as a shop window probably to bigger leagues and we then benefit from higher sell on fees. What is wrong with that? These are not the 9 in a row years anymore.

08 Jan 2016 15:54:23
What is classed as an established player these days? The ones that go for 10mil plus? Because that's the type of money we are talking about these days for established players. I will happily be the porto of Scotland and produce players for big money.

08 Jan 2016 16:16:22
So who and what is an established player? The days of spending 5mil on a single are long gone. that's what got us in trouble before, buying players we couldn't afford. We are on the right road, produce young players and buy young players that will develop. Unfortunately we don't have lucrative tv deals that would allow us to compete with the west brom's or crystal palace's of this world never mind the 'big clubs'. No disrespect intended. Reality check for some people I think.

08 Jan 2016 16:56:06
Jonny56 think your wrong mate, don't think we are getting carried away, but I trust MW, he has probably worked with some of these players before and he knows what we need, have faith .

08 Jan 2016 17:40:40
James beattie cost £2m played 7 times. Spending big bucks for players to keep the fans happy isn't always the way to go. I'm sure these boys have been scouted well and will do great in the years to come.

08 Jan 2016 17:54:47
Matthew94

Think Beattie only cost £1m and was on the park 7 times not sure about playing.

08 Jan 2016 19:52:12
They will be established players in a few years ;)

08 Jan 2016 12:42:28
I'm quietly happy with all our business so far. Hopefully get the big fella in from Brentford this week and a decent striker and I'll be happy, even the Latvian boy that's on trial will do. Think our recruitment has been very intelligent. I also have a feeling that some of the players brought in just now will be squad players next year and the ones identified for the summer Windows will be of a higher calibre to go straight into the first team in the Premiership. Probably be signing players in The summer from the English Championship. Seems like the Mcparland/Warburton relationship is starting to bear fruit. Much better than the likes of Black, Kyle etc.

08 Jan 2016 20:01:07
I really am happy with the signings so far even the loan I think a lot of people think you have to pay big money to win things not so sure in Scotland the Celtics and Aberdeens are overrated.

08 Jan 2016 12:28:15
Can I ask all my fellow bears to support the club and stop singing sectarian songs. All were doing is giving ammunition to all the Rangers haters to make complaints and try to cause us mire trouble.

08 Jan 2016 12:51:22
In all honesty I don't see this happening any time soon. And it's not because of any sort of hatred or believe. It's the atmosphere that was created by that song against hibs. Not an excuse from me just an opinion.

08 Jan 2016 13:07:37
You are right in your statement, however I do feel that all clubs in the Scottish game should be held to task and by the same standards that are attributed to our club. We do seem to be the go to target for singling out by the SPFL and its regulations. Fairs fair because there has been actual singing and we must take responsibility for that and get our own house in order. What really can we expect when the Lawwell/Thompson combo is holding Doncaster's/SPFL's leash.

I do think we should have an amended songbook and possibly this should be displayed on the screens at Ibrox with bouncing ball, during games until it is taken on board by the fanbase. Possibly even some sort of alarm/klaxon going off when these songs are heard. Radical yes, but maybe it would make a difference?

Bare in mind though that all supports have a mix of different walks of life. All have the ned element involved in them and these individuals are just happy to feel a belonging to the cause, rather than actually understand the ramifications of their actions. possibly not even the meaning of the songs they are singing? Some people just don't want to behave or be told what to do even is the club is held to task for their actions.

08 Jan 2016 22:56:40
AB

I agree with what you are saying. I confess to having belted out some of these songs in the past and - had I been at the Hibs game - may have found it very difficult not to do so again. But that doesn't make it ok - even if it's more about the atmosphere than the meaning for me. I'd be just as happy bouncing along to Agadoo if it means we're winning. (Possibly a slight exaggeration but only to make a point) .

It's a deep rooted cultural thing which won't change overnight, especially if there is continued resistance from the fans. People said compulsory seat belts would never happen but most people don't think twice about it now. In years to come sectarian singing will be a thing of the past at both Ibrox and Celtic Park. Many years I suspect but it will happen because it'll be as anti-social as smoking whether the uber-bigots on either side of the mirror like it or not. Yes, many people still smoke but they are being ring fenced and targeted.

My son is 11, is growing to love Rangers but hasn't a clue about the songs - and hopefully never will. Won't make him any less of a supporter.

08 Jan 2016 11:53:18
I'd just like to point this out as we seem to be getting a bit of stick for signing young lads from the 'lower leagues' of England. Celtic are looking at a young lad fron st Patricks of the Irish prem league. Why isn't this been given the same stick as us signing two promising young lads? Lack of home grown talent and all that?

08 Jan 2016 20:03:21
They are not a Scottish club, so are bringing 'local' lads through.

08 Jan 2016 10:51:39
{Ed's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, News Round Up As Pardew Hits Out At Former Palace Manager And Everton Dismiss Talk Of Lukaku Agreement

08 Jan 2016 10:32:11
Its amazing. Just reading the report in the daily record about rangers buying players from lower league English teams.

So when we where buying players from other Scottish teams we where getting moaned at for weakening other team and destroying the competition etc

And now we are not we are being accused of turning our noses up at young Scottish talent lol.

Typical damned if we do damned if we don't lol.

08 Jan 2016 11:48:04
That's the Scottish media for you.
