I am really happy what's happening at Ibrox now, just about got everything I was hoping for, new board, new management team, deadwood off loaded,, no more old time old pals, x players-new scouting system being put in place and a sort of Director in coaching in Mark Warburton, and we're building a young fit team a few more and we'll be ready for the season . Onward and Upwards, Folow Follow.

Your easy pleased, a very average out of contract centre half another injury prone centre half , who has been on loan at half a dozen lower league clubs and an out of contract keeper , who probably cost Swindon promotion with his mistakes last season . Grand total of mr kings "overspend" about a hundred and fifty grand so far , lol 😁.

So because a player has been on loan at low league clubs that makes him a poor player? Your club just spent 1.5 million pounds on a below average striker who is not an improvement on what you have. good luck with your 2injury prone goalkeepers whileyour on here bleating on about injury prone players.

I think you and Timmy are a wee bit obsessed by the gers fabby. are you no?😜

Fab1 get a grip.

Your on here saying we are easily pleased etc but if memory served correct yous were saying treble coming your way but seems to me you were pleased enough with what you won while we had a piss poor team we still achieved two promotions which was the main aim at minimum. Yes we lost out on promotion last year but the play offs greatly advantage the premier league squad. Away to your bedroom and pleasure yourself with the thought you might get a 16 year old on loan.

BongoWeedBlower

I don't always agree with your posts but I am totally with you amigo

I cannot for the life of me understand the whine brigade on here greetin about one thing to the next. where's the new management then after that sorted where's the signings then after those start where's the £20million. I honestly believe if King was daft enough to put £20million in a holding account to show these type of fans the colour of his money they would then moan about something else.

It takes multi millions to fund a club running at the loses Rangers were and still are so anyone silly enough to think King and the 3 Bears are only coughing up a £1.5m loan is living in cloud cuckoo land.

They have done everything we as fans asked for in weeks rather than months and much more importantly are working every day on things to benefit Rangers, rather than awarding themselves huge salaries and huge bonus schemes. do you moaning persons remember a board not so long ago trousering multi millions in shares, wages and bonuses? Awarding huge payoffs to every single one of themselves as the "quit" or were forced to leave . Ahmad, Mather, Green , Stockbridge finally with Llambass and Leach selling off what they could after the EGM vote had been cast!

We are recovering from that and still suffering with Ashley's dodgy contracts and McCoists salary but the board are dealing with everything one by one steadfastly, patiently and the best bit all in Rangers best interests.

The future is much brighter I just wish some folk appreciated it more. Maybe wait a year and see how much money has been put in after we win promotion rather than moaning before we are even started with this season.

In the board and managent we trust

Hey guys total trust in warbs, still think we need to shell out on a few signings, whether it solid pros from our league or from down south.
Surely we have a war chest with dk's millions and the season ticket sales, even if the trialists get signed were still a bit light, getting nervy not long too k/o time

Can we not dispense with the vitriol towards messers McCoist and McCulloch. both in my eyes were great servants, and had failings, but let's move on. We should be concentrating on our new management team, and getting ready to do what we do best. Back the team, we are the best most loyal supporters, when we are in full voice at Ibrox we shake the place and the opposition used to crumble. let's all stick together and show Mark Warburton what a great club he is at, and a support who are second to none. Simply the best.

Aye mate, time to look forward and leave the bitterness in the past. Not easy to do for a lot of folk, but life is too short to be be getting upset over things you can not influence in any way. None of us is perfect.

Agree3 Disagree7

08 Jul 2015 22:10:53
Safetyman2 and Cuillin72 you are correct it is time for bitter old bears like me to move on and forget.
Finishing with a wee for instance though - imagine somebody you dislike - like Rod Petrie or Peter Lawell could pass on the final £400,000 the club "owed" them - legally. They knew the club couldn't afford it - they knew they hadn't done much to earn it- but legally they were entitled to it so they wanted their last £400,000. The club asked them if they would pass up the chance for yet more money but they refused because money was more important than the club. You both would be annoyed but imagine "if it was one of your own"?
But I'm orft now to sulk in my corner- good luck to the team and good luck to Ally and Lee.

Let's say the three players currently training gain a contract and that's the squad for the term ahead. Is it good enough to win promotion guys?

08 Jul 2015 20:35:33
we are yet to see the players from last year and previous years at there best and hopefully W + W can get the best out of them, we seem to forget Law was motherwells best player and shortlisted for player of the year before he came to us I think the youngsters such as Walsh and Murdoch need time to fulfill potential warburton and weir will know what they have at there disposal and what areas need to be strengthened and will act accordingly we have plenty of time so let's just keep the faith

Let's get the Wabarra, eustace and summer Halliday deals over the line lads. Then it's strikers time (no idea who).

What about the lad Harper that's leaving Real Madrid youth set up as well to BEEF up the midfield. Lads a genius!! (19yo)

Stevie May does sound like a decent shout for up front for starters.

Templeton can play as a striker as well if he gets his finger out

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Its a great shout but highly doubt it we will get a young player from championship

I love the fact W&W are making Rangers players finally earn their money with extreme fitness testing under the new regime about time too. It does not surprise me in the slightest that Durie and the 'Fitness Guru' McCoist appointed are history. Anyone watching Rangers the last few years saw just how unfit we were as a team

A note of disdain, maybe I am judging the pictures unfairly, but looking at the official Rangers photos from the training ground and Warburton in mid lecture/coaching talk to the players and guess what the only 2 not even looking at him or paying attention? Law and Wallace. is this the McCoist lazy regime still hanging around? Maybe I am wrong but the phrase every picture tells a story does come to mind.

Looking forward to the first properly fit Rangers team since the Jock Wallace trebles era (note Celtic fans on here - TREBLES. you are only acquainted with onebles and doubles) when we were famous for scoring late into matches and a never say die team.

KT The best post here on ages ,I agree with everything you have written here, thank god not all gers fans have a fixation with the nine in a row team ,new broom and all that,it may work it may not BUT I like Warburton and Weir and something different was badly needed our new Goalie has a better touch and better technique than some of our outfield players SAD BUT TRUE.

I appreciate that we don't want to rush in to buying players, like we did in the past. However where is the money that King spoke about - loan players and free transfers. A few weeks away from the start if the campaign and we haven't added too many players to the squad.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

08 Jul 2015 16:29:49
Shows how little you know about warburton. He likes a squad of 24, we currently have 22. He is looking at 3 players who are currently training with us and MORE who aren't. Faith and patience

Agree4 Disagree4

09 Jul 2015 09:41:06
You're assuming that the players that remained - that weren't out of contract - can deliver. There was very little evidence of this from some of them last season.

Team for Season:
GK: Bell/ Fod
LB: Wallace/ McCrorie
CB: Wilson/Gasparotto
CB: Kiernan/Zaliuskas
RB: McGregor/ Sinnamon
LM: Walsh/ Temps
CM: Eustace/ Crawford
CM: Murdoch/ Law
RM: Mckay/?
FW: Millar/ Gallagher/ Hardie/ Clark

If we get in Halliday and Warbara that at least offer options for FB and Left Mid. but CM needs some work!

That is a rotten squad to be honest and as it stands wouldn't be enough to get us in the top 4 of the championship. Zaliukas, Templeton, Crawford, Law, Mckay, Gallagher, Aird & Clark are nowhere near good enough. 4-5 good quality 1st team signings are needed asap.

A decent winger, 2 decent midfielders including an attacking midfielder & a couple of strikers capable of 20 goals a season are needed. Nothing short of this will be good enough. The fans have done their bit snapping up season tickets pumping funds into the club.

It's time for King & co to step up and walk the walk instead of talking the talk and give the management team funds to build a decent squad. The fans won't tolerate either no more signings or those of a poor standard.

Agree4 Disagree1

08 Jul 2015 17:49:32
Are you on glue Bawsack? Not good enough to get us top 4!? This squad is already an improvement on the 1 that finished 3rd last season

Excellent post and I agree 100%

With possible Winks, Dallas and maybe 1/2 other loanees or Bosmans to boost the weak winger/supply position and attack, though I feel with Hardie and Gallagher we may have our big DJ 1971 situation waiting to happen as Hardie and Gallagher both have the tools to be great Rangers strikers. I personally still get wound up the gardener let Andy Little goal while Boyd the old pal came in YET another woeful decision.

Another very interesting point is we are now looking at having a young squad with 17/18 Scottish players in it I think that is a vital element Warburton and Weir are focussing on. I also think we will start to see our development team win their league every year in near future looking at the quality already being sourced.

Just a thought.
Andrew Driver is available and just gone on trial at De Graafschap in Holland.

Harry winks of spurs could be heading up on loan deal.
Being said he will train with us when we are down at spurs and also play in a closed door game
Only passing on what I've heard not 100% on this
Would do a good job for a year but its a hole we would need to fill next year if we go up

I thinks tv last night reported he had just signed a new deal with Spurs.

Its only a loan deal. Him signing a new contract shouldn't effect that unless he is breaking into the first team this season?
