Waldo only played 7 games last year and he’s got the cheek to appeal over the fine after taking a years wages.

08 Jun 2018 19:46:51
Lumie, what you don't mention conveniently mate, is that this certain lee wallace, also stuck by the club through thick and thin! He wanted to stay with rangers even when we were demotted, to division 3! Remember he could have went to either ipswich town or notts forest, but he chose to commit to the cause and sign a new longterm deal to stay with rangers! Some people have short memories and choose to be blinkered when something they don't like happens! Lumie i'm on the other side of the fence from you my friend! Lee wallace always showed incredible love and loyalty, to glasgow rangers football club, i choose never to forget that!

08 Jun 2018 19:55:17
He was injured so he is entitled to pick uo his wages just like all players. He also feels he was unjustly fined and is exercising his right of appeal just as he and anyone else in employment is entitled to do. Don’t see why you seem to think this is an issue unless your Mike Ashley?

08 Jun 2018 21:38:20
Totally with you on this one ArthurD! Well put mate!

08 Jun 2018 21:40:09
I find it strange that people are choosing to take sides with players/ management/ directors with this scenario as none of us have a clue what specifically took place and what was said.

08 Jun 2018 21:59:28
Don’t know why my Dad Mike Ashley has anything to do with this ArthurD.

Cooper I get what you’re saying mate and I agree to an extent but you can’t live on past merits and he undermined the manager wether it was right or wrong is irrelevant.

08 Jun 2018 22:12:37
Supercooper we all know he stuck with us but it’s not as if he wasn’t getting well paid for it and we know he could’ve went down south but it’s a well known fact his family or him didn’t want to move down south so he stuck with us as he was getting paid more off us than he would with anyone else in Scotland. I’m with him that he’s passionate about the club and tore in to people but don’t disrespect the manager his time is up at our club he’s not that passionate that he’s dragging us to the sfa to appeal his fine

08 Jun 2018 23:27:50
Im not having a go at Wallace but he did get paid pretty well playing against part time players for 4 years. Maybe he was loyal, maybe he didn't fancy moving down south to knock his pan in, in the championship. i have no opinion on this just thought i'd put it out there.

09 Jun 2018 00:54:04
Not knowing what went on in the dressing room that day I wouldn’t be disappointed if him and miller showed anger towards the players and staff involved in the game if it was any one of the supporters on this page I am sure we would all have a few choice words for the squad and staff as it simply wasn’t good enough and if they did show their dissatisfaction surely that shows their passion for the club Wallace has stuck by us all the way a lot of people need to remember that. Quick enough to throw people under the bus

09 Jun 2018 05:39:20
Wallace is on 25 grand a week. Not a bad wage for playing against Elgin etc. Time for him to move on.

09 Jun 2018 06:42:42
"wether its right or wrong is irrelevant" is the daftest statement yet. If it was right then there's no way he should have got fined. He watched the same game as I did and witnessed non triers and shirkers and as captain told them all what he thought and maybe Murty needed told too. I hope he wins his appeal.

09 Jun 2018 09:55:19
Jyf

Quite right mate and it amazes me that a lot of fans seem to be turning on Wallace after he stuck by us when others didn’t. There seems to be more chat about his actions that day then the actions of some of the cowards that disgraced the jersey that day by hiding and meekly accepting a toweling by them.

09 Jun 2018 10:53:53
Wallace was paid handsomely for sticking by us so no need to worry for him

09 Jun 2018 12:06:14
Wallace ain't good enough. Its as simple as that.

09 Jun 2018 13:57:47
Finally. Someone gets to the point. Well said commonsense. Bicker all u want about he stuck by us but was paid handsomely to do so. And the manager or tye player was right and ge or they deserved a telling off. Its tye past. Its done with. Grow up u greetin wains. We are rangers. We move forward regardless. And tge truth of the matter is. Wallace isn't getting younger. He hasn't played alot. And he is no longer the player we need to progress. that's all that matters here and all that should matter to us. Whatever has happened behind the scenes (we will never know the truth as there's always two sides) stop picking sides over something that is in fact irrelevant to us the fans and the upcoming season. It only matters to people directly involved.

09 Jun 2018 14:16:12
Wallace on 16k. Now not good enough. Did serve us well in lower divisions

09 Jun 2018 14:31:39
Murty team and tactics were shambolic against the unwashed most of RANGERS fans were angry how and disgusted with what went on during last to old firm games takes somebody to stand up and tell a boss now and again he’s got it wrong bosses don’t like being confronted and do things to show they still have the authority hence the suspensions but Murty got the sack so obviously he was wrong and maybe he didn’t deserve a smack in the gob but most of us wuda given him one after them results

09 Jun 2018 14:51:15
I'd love to know how so many posters seem to have exact knowledge of players salaries how do we know Wallace in on 25k a week? I'm not saying its wrong just want to know where info comes from?

09 Jun 2018 18:45:17
Dlc7007 take ten grand off that and you'd be nearer the mark, mate. Apart from a couple of duffers Pedro brought in, it's been a while since we paid that kind of money. Just idiots raiding crap websites for their 'information'.

08 Jun 2018 18:17:38
So I work with portugese guys offshore they are telling how much the best season ticket is. Example
Sporting Lisbon 350euro
all home league matches
all home europa cup group games
2 national cup games

We are getting incredibly ripped off and for what reason.

I told them how much we would pay. they couldn't believe the cost. especially how poor our country and league is.

The UK in a whole is a complete joke for ticket prices but in scotland we should be paying half what we do. let's face it the standard is very very poor.

08 Jun 2018 18:41:10
What s the average wage or house price in Portugal c9mpared with Scotland?

We are taxed to death in the U. K.

08 Jun 2018 18:44:25
The cost of living might not be the same in Portugal hence lower wages ect. When I was in Portugal a pint was only about £1.70 but I still buy loads of them back here.

08 Jun 2018 19:45:18
well if we are going to the extreme of how much is a pint let's compare prices in a big league then germany italy france. price of season tickets averaging 400 euro and that's for the big teams. these countries are same standard of living as uk.

but anyway my argument. since i used portugal. standard and cost of living certainly ain't much less than uk. house prices similar to ours. Standard of football though much much higher. there teams regularly compete at a good level in europe. do ours? . no chance.
Sporting Lisbon benfica porto braga all far superior to our top 4.

08 Jun 2018 20:22:35
Just for info. Cheapest pint in norway in 9 quid

08 Jun 2018 20:25:23
The reason some countries teams are able to sell season tickets at a cheaper price is because they receive excellent tv money we receive next to nothing in comparison.

08 Jun 2018 20:28:28
Look at ye complaiming about giving the club we all love a few extra quid to buy better players stingy c@@t
Bet yer bairns dinny even get a fiver for the icey poor from poor form

08 Jun 2018 21:09:07
our season tickets are low compared to down south, take arsenal, spurs, chelsea. even there lowest season tiket costs about a grand onwards, there highest could buy a house.

08 Jun 2018 21:13:58
I’ve lived in Melbourne up up until recently now that I’m 18 I’ve went back to Glasgow for uni, like my mum seys evrything is so much more expensive in the uk, imo it’s thanks to the government in the uk that hound and rip off people for ridiculous tax amounts. now that I’m back I glasgow the appertment my family rent is more than half than what we were paying for years in Melbourne. and football wise tv money is everything sadly Scottish football just doesn’t have it

08 Jun 2018 21:44:53
We pay too much for the product we receive in this country but season ticket and gate money are one of our clubs main sources of revenue. So personally I don't mind paying the prices we pay. If our season tickets were, say £100 less per season, it would have a huge impact on on what Rangers could afford to do on the pitch and hold us back even further from the elite.

08 Jun 2018 23:46:34
You think we are being ripped off Jamie? Did I no hear the price for a good seat at arsenal is 2.500 pounds . the queens pounds that is

09 Jun 2018 00:00:10
matthews11 - how can the cost of living be more expensive if the cost of your rent is half? My best mate lives in Melbourne and he says while he is paid far in excess of what the same job pays here, the cost of living is much higher in Melbourne.

09 Jun 2018 06:45:20
Skidney, I was complaining about the price of a pint mate.

09 Jun 2018 10:55:02
Taxation is higher in Australia as well

09 Jun 2018 19:38:51
Who gives a fly in f##k about taxes in Portugal or price of pints in Denmark or the cost of a house in Australia- even with the finance company you can get our season tickets at less than 45pd a month - any success has it's price - we are rangers - we're priceless as far as I'm concerned -

08 Jun 2018 17:42:31
Ethical dilemna? just noticed Jon Flanagan has been released by Liverpool very good footballer but a comlete as****. Some say everyone deserves a second chance, I think the guy should be in jail. Would you take him at Gers?

08 Jun 2018 18:33:11
We forgave gazza didn’t we for hitting his wife. Think the lad is only 26. If he is fit and his head is in the right place then he is worth a look at at least

08 Jun 2018 19:17:46
But that’s for Stevie g to decide if he forgives but decent player for free

08 Jun 2018 19:20:19
Flanigan is signing for us

08 Jun 2018 23:07:21
Very good player

09 Jun 2018 04:22:09
didn't know of the player or what the incident was, so I looked it up, absolutely shocking! What was she doing out of the kitchen?

08 Jun 2018 15:44:02
With big interest in our ex striker, kenny miller being revealed this morning, would you ED,
please set up a poll, regarding kenny miller?
Our fans because of what allegedly happened and how kenny left rangers, without being afforded the dignity of being allowed to say goodbye to the rangers fans, who he continually professes to love, have different opinions on kenny's rangers legacy! Ed could you please set up a poll amongst our supporters to gauge the regards he's held in, with us the rangers supporters! Ie. do the fans still think highly of kenny miller, or not, cheers ed, despite what's allegedly happened!

{Ed033's Note -

Kenny Miller Poll

08 Jun 2018 19:22:11
Miller is 39 next season, let him do what he wants. If we are worried about Miller we have serious issues, the guys been finished for about 4 years.

09 Jun 2018 04:36:59
I thought we could've used him better last season, as a kind of super-sub. Think I'll always wonder, what if?

Lionel Messi

08 Jun 2018 11:46:44
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new player profile about, Lionel Messi

08 Jun 2018 11:52:42
Ha ha I just saw the picture of Messi and thought someone is really taking the pi** now. 😂😂😂😂

08 Jun 2018 12:34:28
Might consider him but only if he has a good world cup

08 Jun 2018 14:16:15
Good cover for windass

08 Jun 2018 22:45:44
his goal record outside of spain is terrible. we should be looking for better! we are Glasgow Rangers!

08 Jun 2018 11:17:05
Where would you like to see us improve further bears?

Fods/ Shagger

Tav - Bruno/ McRorie - Goldson - John/ Waldo

Jack/ Rossiter

Ejaria/ Windass - Arfield/ Dorrans/ Holt

Candeias - Morelos - Murphy/ Windass

08 Jun 2018 12:40:25
Competition for RB. An RW and a striker

08 Jun 2018 12:40:45
And another CB as well as Goldson

08 Jun 2018 12:55:44
Everywhere to be honest, unsure of Goldson and Ejaria, fingers crossed.

08 Jun 2018 13:20:53
you're missing Docherty from that list.

I think we will set up 4-5-1 next near like this.

Mgregor
Tavenier Goldson New CB John
Candias Dorrans Jack Arfield Murphy
new striker

with Foderingham, Wallace, mcrorie. Docherty, Ejaria, Windass and Morelos being the bench players.

Im assuming that alves, carodoso, Halliday, Forrester Dodoo and Herrera will likely be sold off or loaned out before we start looking at other squad players.

08 Jun 2018 14:54:39
would not have jack or darrans near the team they are not good enough. Rossiter if fit and hopefully we get a far better CM.

08 Jun 2018 15:19:49
I just can't see a massive turn around in the squad. sure, we might get another midfielder in but a few would have to leave before that happens.

Keep in mind that we scored the most amount of goals in the league last year. The team know how to score goals. It was our defence that let us down. Sort that out and get another striker and we are not far away.

08 Jun 2018 15:28:37
Jamie5100 Bit unfair on Jack. He was a standout at the sheep and spent half last season injured. Surely deserves a chance under Gerrard.

08 Jun 2018 15:41:58
I agree in fact I'd go as far to say Jack was one of only a few players to get pass marks.

08 Jun 2018 15:58:30
Would never see a performance as spineless as the ones we seen against Celtic from Jack

08 Jun 2018 16:12:25
Well am prayin he doesn't play McCrorie centre half as he's terrible. 10 times the player when in defensive mid

08 Jun 2018 16:27:40
Don't really understand the critics of Jack, especially in the Celtic game when he was having to do the running for both Pena and Dorrans in there.

08 Jun 2018 23:52:34
Agree. Mc I distinctly remember jack playing Scott brown right out the game for aberdeen. think they still lost but jack had waybthe better of brown. that’s why I couldn’t understand that when we played celtic jack was played in a different position than a man marking job in brown. if I had been him I would have done that anyway despitevwherevthe manager told me to go

08 Jun 2018 11:07:48
No info and no reason to believe this but my Spidey senses are tingling. Anyone else think we will make a Marquee signing? By the way said this to my dad and he's started calling me Mystic Meg lol.

08 Jun 2018 12:35:51
Striker its got to be a striker. My bet is Solanke on loan from Liverpool we may have to pay a fee but if we could loan him for 2yrs what an impact he would have on scottish football

08 Jun 2018 12:41:10
Nah can't see it

08 Jun 2018 13:34:11
Bluepete out of interest who would you consider a marquee signing?

08 Jun 2018 15:14:05
Did we just suggest our marquee signing will be an under 20 loan from Liverpool? , we cannot be serious? Solanke should a signing for our bench!

08 Jun 2018 21:24:29
McBurnie preferably

09 Jun 2018 00:13:18
Hollow55 the guy has been capped at every level for England including full cap and would walk into any Scottish team on his worst day.

09 Jun 2018 01:01:58
McBurnie would be a marquee signing - for Hamilton Accies.

08 Jun 2018 09:27:11
I really think rangers should be looking at Martin kelly for right back and John Flanagan as backup for full backs. 3 x CBs is a must. everyone keeps saying our midfield is overloaded but its overloaded with rubbish. Still 1 good CM preferably a ball winning one. would very much like to see harry wilson come for the left wing Brandon barker i think would be very useful as an impact sub and 1 striker.
If possible sell
Tav
Cardoso
hodson
halliday
Ohallaren
harerra.

08 Jun 2018 10:58:54
This Tav you want rid of has been our best creator for the last 3 years. Yes because he is a wing back, and asked to play as such, he often gets caught out of position but if you are going to play wing backs, and most top teams do, you need the CB's to cover. Our CB's have not been good enough. We all want to improve our team but selling our most creative player is not the way to do it.

08 Jun 2018 11:21:23
Sell?
Who apart from Tav is anyone going to buy?

08 Jun 2018 12:42:27
A diddy team like Hibs will be very keen on some of them. They won't be able to pay very much but they're not worth very much anyway

08 Jun 2018 12:59:04
Does anyone else feel we have been overloaded in the wide areas for far too long, surely with our full backs playing so far up the park we would be better served playing without wingers and having more bodies in the middle?

08 Jun 2018 13:32:43
Tav just needs a solid defence by his side. He's great going forward and his defensive issues usually arise at the end of games when he's shattered. Hopefully we get a back up in for him so he can be rotated and rested at times this season to keep him fresh.

08 Jun 2018 08:40:27
I can't wait for the new season to start but worry that Stevie g doesn't really know what he's in for. We need to sign big hardy players who will command the play, forget speedy wee runts get big solid beards on the pitch.

08 Jun 2018 09:07:04
I will ask McCinness if we can have his as it looks well groomed, and the 2 tone look is great

08 Jun 2018 09:49:39
lets not buy big hardy numpties. football has changed. yes a ball winning CB CM is good but speedy wingers is a must.

08 Jun 2018 10:03:41
Personally I prefer the hard working clean shaven look - but we are all in this together so C'mon the beards!

08 Jun 2018 14:39:13
Aye big hardy players with pace, power and ability please! No shirkers or lazy gets

08 Jun 2018 08:32:17
It's good to be back on here, fodtheprod will be posting again.

08 Jun 2018 07:24:59
Watched Billy Gilmour at the toulin tournament. Technicaly he's very good and didn't look out of place. I just think he will develop into a very good player but he will never break into that Chelsea 1st team. They will always buy bigger/ better players. Rangers is his club and with Stevie G as our manager. That might persuade him maybe when he's 17 or 18 to join us on loan or permanently.

08 Jun 2018 11:41:00
sadly Chris it will never happen. he will go out on loan to their dutch feeder club in next couple seasons and then end up being sold to a mid table epl side when he has grown into a man. sadly the route for 99% of the chelsea youth players

Review Of The Day 8th June 2018

08 Jun 2018 06:16:01
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 8th June 2018

08 Jun 2018 00:07:56
Would like some of u guys thoughts on would love sg to register as a player in the 23 man squad for our euro campaign as with him in the team and his experience i think our chances of reaching the group stages would greatly improve.

Im not sure if this would be allowed to happen does anyone know if he could do that or would he need to reg as players to sfa.

08 Jun 2018 05:31:10
Shhhh he's already came out and said his legs are fone imagine that howler against a minnow in europa league!
The fans would never get behind him as a manager let him do his job man. Weve got mini gerrarg JR.

07 Jun 2018 23:57:30
See all this single fish that the gap between us and the unclean is massive what a lot of tosh. They may have millions in the bank but they are in the same league as us where they can only pay so much wages due to earning potential of the spl and will struggle like us to attract top class players who can get double the wages playing in the english championship.
The only thing that they can offer other than us is champ league playoffs.
Last season we spent more cash than them on players and will prob do the same this season we have just been unlucky that the managers that we have signed have not worked out and wasted a lot of cash in the process even with all those changes to our management and playing staff we only finish 12 points behind them. Winning our 2 old firm at ibrox we would have been level on points with them i'm my book that's not a huge gap. The one part that i would agree that there is a gap is when we play them we where scared and its showed in the results. I can't see that happening next season once sg reshapes the team and gets some players in that are winners and drums that winning mentality into so of the players that failed in that department last season .

The main difference is they have had a settled team and management structure.
So we need to be patient and allow sg and his background staff time to work their magic excuse the gramma guys.

08 Jun 2018 09:54:35
Stewartyyblue We would still have been 6 pts behind them Not level.

08 Jun 2018 10:25:14
Cunny we win 2 home of games, gives us 6 points, takes away 6 points from them.

08 Jun 2018 10:31:50
Think the schools in oz aren’t the best

08 Jun 2018 13:29:25
Stewartlyyblue Celtic won the league by 12 pts So if Rangers had won the two home games against them That would have been 6 pts That still leaves a gap of 6 pts 12 - 6 = 6 Letsgo I’m Scottish So never attended school here in OZ

08 Jun 2018 14:15:50
But Celtic would also have 6 points less and therefore level on points. Come on cunny you can get this

08 Jun 2018 14:22:23
For duck sake Cunny.
Celtic would have 6 less points so instead of 82 points they would have had 76 points.
Rangers would have 6 more points so instead of 70 points they would have finished the season with 76 points.
You go to one of those 'Saint' schools?

08 Jun 2018 14:31:15
Nightmare Cunny 🤣

08 Jun 2018 16:00:06
Apologies guys. Been on the piss all day No saints school for me. Enjoy the weekend

07 Jun 2018 22:29:36
Dominent midfielder is rossiter if he can stay fit

08 Jun 2018 09:24:59
Yeah definitely. If he can stay fit he'll end up back in the EPL and will make us a tidy transfer fee. If he can stay fit. But its a big if unfortunately

08 Jun 2018 11:39:13
i think Rossiter will out grow his injuries. reminds me of Wilshere

unfortunate to get injuries at a young age when his body was/ is still growing into a man. as ong as we don't rush him back i think we will see him manage a good injury free run in the engine room this season

07 Jun 2018 21:07:16
Completely underwhelmed by the signings and lack of players leaving so far! I know it's early days but I just hope king doesn't throw Stevie g under a bridge with his usual empty promises.

08 Jun 2018 06:37:44
Yes, it is early days. Gerrard say's he'd like most of his business done before our Europa League qualifier, that's still more than a month away and the players aren't even back for pre season yet. Would rather SG takes his time and gets the right players in other than signing whomever just to appease you. Have a bit of patience.

08 Jun 2018 09:15:35
No pleasing you Ronnie! we have a new management team some signings more to come and please explain kings empty promises?
