Think I'm the only Scotland fan who doesn't think Griffiths should have played, Jordan Rhodes all day for me!. Gordon strachan must not have watched palace this season because if he had mcarthur would be playing!!

09 Oct 2015 09:45:34
Did strachen not say he wouldn't pick rangers players because the standard of football.it amazes me how he still picks brown when u have players of macarthur.fletcher.adam ability playing down south week in week out and playing out there skin still can't get a game.think its scottish managment mentality not to pick good players.look at rhodes and jack harper for u 21s.brilliant strikers who score for fun but can't get a game.

09 Oct 2015 13:08:37
If you think in your bitter wee mind that brown was anywhere near the worst player in that team last night and couldn't see he played far superior to fletcher then you know even less about football than your posts would have us believe, and that is saying a lot .

09 Oct 2015 14:12:03
Brown played ok.he was out of position for first goal tho.he didn't do much tho never took any1 on.burst forward play a telling ball.what he does do is come short for a pass outa defence and play a simple ball and that it.brown never does anything spectacular for club or country.he may inforce midfield against likes of st mirren but in europe he's rubbish.can he cut open a defence with bursting run.play an assist for a goal .boss the midfield.score a goal.no he can't do any of that.for instance james morrison.fletcher.adam etc can and that why they should be in team before brown

09 Oct 2015 14:32:31
Utter nonsense fletcher done absolutely nothing last night and the only time Adam has ever bust forward is when the delivery guy rings his door bell with an Indian, cultured left foot but a lazy fat git, Morrison is average at best, mccarthur has the makings of a decent player .

09 Oct 2015 15:01:32
He likes a curry as well, fab.

09 Oct 2015 14:27:47
Yes I have always felt with Brown, good enough player that he is that he was always perceived to be better than he actually turned out to be, like the Duncan Ferguson scenario, almost like he had a name for himself before he showed what he can do.

09 Oct 2015 20:35:52
Fab take I u didn't watch the game, Brown didn't make one successful pass, Fletcher the same.

09 Oct 2015 20:49:01
I did indeed cee the passing was terrible from the whole team but brown made far more successful tackles than fletcher and at least tried to bust forward with the ball at times, which flies in the face of the ops opinion, who said fletcher was playing out of his skin and who singled brown out for criticism, while praising fletcher, I am not claiming brown is world class but I personally would have him in the team before Adam or fletcher any day of the week . Truth is I would be happy for none of the Celtic players to play for any national team, especially Scotland where they are on a hiding to nothing.

09 Oct 2015 18:13:34
Duncan Ferguson was a fabulous striker, ask any Everton or Geordie fan, far better than people gave him credit for, and fellow players know how good he was, unplayable at times
Tommy

10 Oct 2015 08:38:47
Tom tom: He wasn't unplayable at Rangers, that is the point I'm making, even outside of the jail thing, it didn't happen for him.

10 Oct 2015 09:17:56
As much as i'm not browns biggest fan i wouldn't say he was the worst player on the park i don't think any of the players played well to be honest but the squad does need a bit of freshening up in my opinion at least a 1/3 of that squad ain't good enough.

we always seem to have a good pool of goalkeepers Marshall gordon mcgregor should all be in with a shout as all are good keepers defence is our weakest position i'd say centrally especially but i never agree with playing whittaker at left back midfield we have a few options but we tend to stick with the same guys every game.

i think fletcher was our poorest midfield player against poland but a freshen up in midfield could bring us more attacking opportunities as playing 2 def-mids kind of leaves too big a gap between def-mid and attack-mid and we have a decent enough pool of strikers to choose from but changing to 2 up top might be worth a try as i don't think we have a striker good enough to play up top on their own

10 Oct 2015 09:19:57
Aye I'd also be happy to see none of your players play for Scotland. Then the country would not be on a hiding to nothing

10 Oct 2015 09:22:38
Big Dunc was an exceptional player hounded out of Scotland and capped on by the authorities up here. You just have to look at how well quoted he was at Newcastle and Everton. Reminds you of Gary Hooper. Not!! Wonder where he is?

10 Oct 2015 13:17:08
Big Dunc cut the arms off Hateleys Armani tin flute as a prank. But the big man never got the joke and proceeded to pummel big Dunc to a pulp. That's the real reason he had to leave Rangers. No media hounding, nor the fact he went to Bar.De-sleevery of a nice suit was the cause.

09 Oct 2015 23:09:46
It always seems to be the Eastenders and ex Eadtenders that let the national side down. Maybe it's because they feel they are playing for the wrong national side: Brown - hopeless. Forrest - headless chicken. Maloney - flatters to deceive. Marshall - suspect.

Mulgrew is another who would have played had he been fit. It's time these deadbeats were dropped. Then we'd maybe get somewhere. Oh that's right - the current manager would never drop his golden bhoys. They'll end up getting him the sack. I suppose that's the only saving grace

10 Oct 2015 19:31:46
I have yet to see any footballer who could pummel big Dunc, he is renowned for being a seriously hard boy,

08 Oct 2015 17:13:47
There is an article on the BBC Rangers webpage by Ricky Foster complaining that he doesn't get respect from fans and that one fan stopped him in the city centre and told him he was the worst Rangers player ever. This so called Rangers fan is a disgrace and clearly knows nothing about neither Rangers or football. Hamed Namouchi and Nuno Capucho were the worst Rangers players ever. Foster is the third worst.

The poor wee lamb further complained that he was critisised on Twitter by a fan after a defeat by Hibs and his day out with his son the following day. He continues that if girlfriend Amy was there then they would get an ear bashing.

Good for you Ricky. Stand up for yourself and stick to your guns. You have come out of this interview really well and absolutely nobody could accuse you of being a whiney, spoilt overpaid schoolgirl who would apparently hide behind his girlfriend if sweary words get said.

Could you imagine this happening when someone like Jock Wallace was in charge?

Grow up Richard and concentrate on your football. Paying fans have a right to criticise and from what I read nobody was being offensive. The only offensive thing was your belief that you are above criticism. Far from it.

08 Oct 2015 17:30:53
Fans don't have a right to stop a man on the street with his burd and kid and shout abuse at him, fans like that are embarrassing.

08 Oct 2015 19:22:15
Talking of worse ever Rangers player air us Old boys would think Jim Denny. Correct me if I'm wrong.

08 Oct 2015 20:01:32
Jon Daly or Kevin Kyle.

08 Oct 2015 20:17:20
Cee, totally agree about screaming abuse in the street especially in front of children but this did not appear to be the case here. Some of his moaning was about Twitter criticism, hardly shouting in front of the weans. He was just upset about being called at being an imposter.

Wull, Denny was bad, was Gregor Stevens worse? Daly and Kyle don't count as they are not really football players as such.

08 Oct 2015 18:48:32
Cee, You're correct, we shouldn't be having that sort of thing and JFC, Yes - PAYING FANS, meaning they should keep it for match day, not when he is up the street with his son.

08 Oct 2015 20:51:26
Wull, Have always said Denny was the worst player I had seen then along came Faure he made Denny look like Bobby Moore.

08 Oct 2015 21:51:28
Was Faure not better than the Brazilian you had at the back around the same time? The name escapes me begins with Cab I think!?

08 Oct 2015 22:20:55
Cribari! Jees he was bad

09 Oct 2015 00:24:15
Cribari, Faure and Foster were all awful but who was the clown that brought them to the club?

09 Oct 2015 08:44:04
Ally mccoist, probably the clubs greatest ever striker and worst manager..

09 Oct 2015 08:06:43
Still better than your Brazilian though. Can't remember his name but it sounded like shite or something.

09 Oct 2015 10:25:21
Ricky Fosters burd is the singer Amy McDonald, it wasn't on the street he's hamming it up a wee bit, it happened during the Still Game live show at the Hydro, when a fan shouted Ricky Foster your S^& inside the entrance. I was there saw I was there and saw it all. Fozzie is a Rangers fan, he's just sour grapes because he didn't get a new deal. He does think he is a better player than he is. To be fair at his very best he could bomb a wing and stick in a cross, I wouldn't see he was the worst Rangers player ever. That honour for me goes too Oliver Bernard.

Among other disasters Beattie, Ostenstad, Faye, Jeffers, Capucho, Rothen, Latapy, Emerson, Mladenovic, Maniero, Muscatt, Letizi, Svensson, Velicka

09 Oct 2015 14:30:02
Latapy and Emerson weren't really bad, but Rothen was well named.

09 Oct 2015 18:16:14
Best team in years and we're talking about worst ever players ? U couldn't make it up could you
Tommy

08 Oct 2015 16:09:45
So remind me who did the super clean SFA back for FIFA . Aye well I wonder what there statement is now.

08 Oct 2015 18:10:04
The SFA are as clean as TRIFC Accounts! Mr Over-Investment better get the cash out. His worst nightmare has come true. He had been praying there would be no ring fencing actions through the High Courts as it exposes the critical state of the Financial Debacle!

08 Oct 2015 20:54:26
I really think foster had a raw deal at rangers he was constantly put under pressure by having fraser aird in front of him. he is by far the worst rangers player I have seen and foster suffered for it. foster wasn't the greatest player but having that in front of him really didn't help.

08 Oct 2015 21:15:17
Steffantos,
You have got an unhealthy obsession about us, For somebody to know so much about Finance & Law, you do post some MINCE.

10 Oct 2015 20:19:27
Fab: Think you are still living in the past, part time teams are nothing like they were 30 years ago when they were really part time.

08 Oct 2015 13:35:06
C'mon N. Ireland Scotland and Wales, England are home and hosed courtesy of a nice draw, would be fantastic to see all the home nations make the finals.

08 Oct 2015 15:08:32
If strachan would start picking the best players instead of his wee pals we would maybe have a better chance

08 Oct 2015 17:27:13
Which players are you referring to?

08 Oct 2015 14:52:26
Sotonbear, Yes it would, but Scotland won't make it.

08 Oct 2015 19:22:20
Brooniesta and D Fletcher sitting midfielders I've seen auld yins coming out the bingo quicker.

09 Oct 2015 09:27:42
Scott brown ran around like a headless chicken
again. Steven fletcher scored a beauty but would rather Jordan Rhodes instead. Strachan has a shocking record he sud go now but sfa will keep him as there just as bad

08 Oct 2015 00:05:12
i have got to say rangers not getting promoted last year was a blessing in disguise if promoted we would probably have got vito pereira as manager and from that appointment, i have no doubt we would have have to give him a few million to get the players he wanted in so would of meant big wages.

this could have proved a disastrous appointment if players never performed. youth would have probaly been ignored again and meant the loss of the very good player in McKay always said he was. Warburton was my front runner from day i heard Brentford no longer wanted him as manager but was constantly told there was no way he would come to us.

08 Oct 2015 00:54:25
our club are a very attractive option for players we can and will win titles and cups in future some players never get this chance so we have a big pulling power in this way i also said previously that we should been looking at the English lower leagues for players but was told we would not be able to attract them but this has been proven otherwise now so what i saying is if we aim for better we can achieve it as we are a big club and always will be now we have a good manager going to lay foundations for future and be the better for it on and off the field Warburton will not spend for sake it so if case king should be able to invest the money he promised in other areas of our club now as Warburton will not spend for sake it players with good potential can be bought on the cheap if you do your home work on players you can get the best out of them improve them and make them a valuable asset this is what Warburton will now do very glad we have man with long term plans in hot seat and not short term gain in mind quick fixes very rarely work in Warburton we trust and back 100 percent was best choice promoted or not he would been my first choice by mile so glad we got him
