Steven Davis free contract end of season but he will be 34 would you take him back?

08 Sep 2018 19:57:06
I’d take him in January.

08 Sep 2018 20:02:36
100% yes.

08 Sep 2018 20:58:03
a big no--we are moving forward as a team and as a business. we need sen players who can be bought for a snip and sold, like dembele, virgil vd, Armstrong etal.

09 Sep 2018 02:24:53
No. He's almost done and couldn't take the frantic horrors of our game any more. Wonderful player for us, but that was years ago. Time to move on from this.

09 Sep 2018 09:13:36
deecee buying players then selling them is not moving forwards. Buying players and building a team is.

09 Sep 2018 10:09:00
Nothing wrong with buying players, then selling them on at a profit. It's how we become club that doesn't need 'soft loans' to see out the season.

09 Sep 2018 15:59:35
take the wee man back in a heartbeat.

08 Sep 2018 15:30:29
Watching Steve Davis for Northern Ireland and was a hero of mine and what a great player but his legs have gone. I know he hasn't had any playing time lately but the hectic play up here wouldn't have suited him now. I still wish him all the best🇬🇧.

08 Sep 2018 15:52:37
You exactly echo my feelings yately 1!I loved and rated steven davis to the hilt, when he played for us! He's a superb midfielder, who hasn't played a lot of football for southampton lately and that for me would suggest, how he's looked sluggish, for northern ireland today. I also wish him all the best, whatever davo does and IMO, i still think he'd do well for us in the scottish premiership!

08 Sep 2018 16:05:24
Same yately mate watched it myself still a great player but lost a yard fingers crossed laffertys knock was nothing serious🇬🇧.

08 Sep 2018 16:08:31
Was I watching the same game as you, he was the best midfielder out there today never wasted a pass! He could play with his slippers on in the spl and still be the best midfielder up there.

08 Sep 2018 16:15:37
Davis was my MOTM today definitely legs have not gone, he was outstanding.

09 Sep 2018 16:39:13
Davis still has a lot of skill and could do a job for us however I would much rather we went for bigger stronger players that have the skill but also are more in the Souness, Roberts mould!

08 Sep 2018 12:54:39
I'm been reading the news now rangers pages and the Scotland fans are absolutely slaughtering Ryan jack! According to the match reports Jack. McGinn and mulgrew were at fault for goals but it is jack who's getting slaughtered. I don't give a rubbish about Scotland as I'm not from there but the criticism seems to aimed at the rangers player.

08 Sep 2018 14:26:04
For McLeish should need to settle on a team and tactics.
and start playing Teams who will give us a game and who we have better chance of winning against.
This would give the players more confidence if they win rather than play teams we are not going win against.

08 Sep 2018 14:47:22
This game was about the SFA trying to exploit the fans for money. Absolutely nothing to gain from playing Belgium just now.

08 Sep 2018 15:08:02
Craig8688, who cares? The tartan persons still boo Rangers players.

08 Sep 2018 16:02:42
I’ve read he was booed. I was at the game and never heard any booing towards him. He wasn’t to blame for the goals, Scotland as a team were collectively awful against a very good Belgium side.

08 Sep 2018 16:36:27
LDM17. I was at the game to (£35 - awful! ) . I heard Jack being booed when he came on. I also heard Boyata being booed. Now, that could have been for a host of reasons. Celtic fans who hate him. Rangers fans who hate him. Scotland fans who hate him. Or Belgium fans who hate him. Or a heady mix of all of them.

I thought the Scottish fans gave Hazard a good reception when he went off.

08 Sep 2018 17:18:41
Why give hazard a good reception. thought he played for Belgium!

08 Sep 2018 18:35:36
I think you’re right Bluebrother. He had a yellow shirt on.

Might be rare in Scottish football but it was a generous appreciation of footballing class. Which I thought was impressive in itself.

08 Sep 2018 10:15:54
Morelos misses an open goal for Columbia watch it that's imbaressing it's not the first time either he's done it there's no covering for him this time that's 4 times I know of he's missed a wide open net in a year.

08 Sep 2018 11:23:22
If your going to post the negative then at least post the positive, as he crossed the ball over for the winner as well.

08 Sep 2018 11:34:25
Oops maybe he didn't cross it in for the winner but, he nearly scored a cracker tho. Some people just like to post every negative they see.

08 Sep 2018 11:55:44
It’s not a negative comment it’s just what happened.

08 Sep 2018 13:25:16
well if he is as bad as you are making out them i'm sure he won't be selected again, let's wait and see what his manager makes of him.

08 Sep 2018 15:30:48
Cross? I read that he fell and the ball bounced off him when he was on the ground.

08 Sep 2018 17:37:08
Blue knight, he can’t be that crap he’s getting called up for the Columbia national team.

08 Sep 2018 17:47:17
No he didn't he blocked the ball on the line and it bounced back out and the the boy stuck it away.

08 Sep 2018 17:58:14
@blueknight - who cares if he misses an open goal for Columbia?

09 Sep 2018 01:58:03
Morelos is no falcao in his prime that's my point Columbia are only wanting him cause bacca is getting on another sign of a quality striker they score in huge games like cavani but Morelos can't score against Celtic so how does that make him a 10m player? Only saving grace he has years ahead but he's not a clinical finisher for me look at rashford then Morelos yes before u bitch I know rashford plays for man utd but compare the two there similar players then u will find Morelos has strength and pace but no end product FACT,

09 Sep 2018 16:36:03
Blueknight, we all realise by now what type of 'fan' you are, but to claim as 'FACT' that Morelos has no end product merely confirms that your football knowledge is on a par with Jack The Ripper's love of women. He was only our top scorer last season and will be again this season, and goals are the ultimate end product, FACT.

09 Sep 2018 19:42:56
Blueknight that post is pointless who said he was like any the players mentioned and if he’s that crap and they are only calling him up as other players are getting on I think you are so far wrong with your statement and it’s people like you that need to lay off the guys back.

08 Sep 2018 09:08:24
Embarrassing result for Scotland last night. Oh, maybe it was because there were six manky mob players or ex-players in the team. The BBC commentator showed bias again by picking out Jack to blame him for one of the goals just after he came on. Where are the days when the Bears formed the backbone of the national team, e. g. Greig, McKinnon, Baxter, Wilson, Henderson, Caldow, etc.

08 Sep 2018 09:42:31
Jack was to blame. He got caught in possession between half way line and box and they immediately scored. And he had just come on. So the commentator was entirely correct. Sorry Doiger.

08 Sep 2018 09:56:38
I think last night was one of most pointless matches I’ve seen in a long time. What exactly did either team get out of that? Belgium were so far ahead of Scotland it was embarrassing and that was with De Bruyn. It also showed up how overrated TIerney, McGregor and Griffiths are too. Gordon was also appalling and made the best case for McGregor to be number 1.

08 Sep 2018 10:17:49
All 4 goals were down to Tavernier not tracking back. Oh and the whole debacle was down to Dave king not backing the manager.

08 Sep 2018 10:33:27
Bruised Bear. Jack may have made a slip that led to the goal but he ran from 50 yards out before scoring, but I was wrong, Scotland were 3-0 down at the time and well beaten. I didn't even listen to the Sportscene 'pundits' Stewart and Thompson who never have a good word to say about anything Rangers-related.

08 Sep 2018 11:37:59
Proper lol'd at the Tav comment BluePete 😂 Good work.

08 Sep 2018 11:39:40
Great Bluepete lol.

08 Sep 2018 12:02:07
Just choked on my coffee Bluepete! 😂😂😂.

08 Sep 2018 13:13:35
The main blame for last night's fiasco has to go to Alex McLeish. Great guy but comes across as yesterday's man ever time I hear him speak nowadays.

I know some on here wanted him to return to Ibrox but on the evidence of his results for Scotland during his second stint, we obviously dodged a bullet.

08 Sep 2018 13:30:35
Was at Hampden last night and have to say was very unimpressed with Gordon. McGregor has to be reinstated as no.1.

08 Sep 2018 15:11:21
I have no opinion on the match as I did not see it, will never again watch a Scotland match and will never offer succour to the Rangers-hating SFA and its tartan tramps who also despise us.

08 Sep 2018 15:32:10
Shagged playing next game, one that isn't a friendly. Think it says it all.

08 Sep 2018 06:29:21
Morelos played 17 min in 2-1 Columbia win at Venezuela.
