Who cares about these muppets Thompson and Stewart who were crap players and whose level was junior league. They are just jealous. Why an ex-Rangers player would be so nasty in his comments is hard to work out. I vowed last season I wouldn't watch Sportscene again and I won't be doing so this season. The same rubbish appears in the Daily Rag every day. Great result last night and I can't see us conceding two goals in the return leg with our new, stronger defence. I hope Jack isn't out for long and also SG should give McCrorie a chance. Not sure about Kent and Ejaria yet. Don't forget, Dorrans and Rossiter (hopefully still to come back.

Absolutely delighted with the performance and result tonight. We are not easy to beat now. I thought defensively we were staunch and hard to beat. But 1 clear chink in our armour is defensive right back where the 3 goals we've lost have came from. I'd back tav on a penalty or putting in a cross, but he looks nervy and out of sorts closing down space for a ball travelling 30 yards. He won't be right back for long and will be moved forward. Enjoy our night bears great result tonight esp when it went 1-1 and we were rattled for a spell.

Good points well raised. Delighted with the guys' battling qualities and never say die attitude. Thought Morelos is worth a special mention. I haven't been totally convinced I must admit, but tonight I thought he was immense. And looking like he is happy again playing football. Well done Stevie, the team is gelling very well and everybody is playing their part. Dare I say it, we are looking like the best side in the country right now. And by some distance. What a difference from this time last year!

What a shift alfredo put in tonight, ., at one point there were 4 defenders chasing him. Lost count the number of times he wrestled the ball from their defenders, personsb some of the people who have been on here giving the kadbstick for weeks . would come on and give the guy some credit

The performance in the 2nd half was very good especially considering how deflating conceding could have been. There were a few excellent performers. The only downside i could see was the delivery from crosses and set pieces, nobody seemed at it there. We look like we have a good group of players who can be counted on and can take responsibility. No more easy rides against us.

The atmosphere in Ibrox tonight was the best it has been in a long, long time. It was absolutely incredible and I applaud my fellow bears for that. It just feels we are beginning something special here. No more false dawns. The guys next to me, his daughter was crying when first goal went in with pure emotion. Team were fantastic on the night. We have definitely acquired one or two warriors and even if we don't win the league this year, even at this very early stage, I am convinced it won't be for the lack of effort. Finally we have a Rangers to be proud of again.

absolutely amazing, made watching all the crap over the bad years well worth it. i was concerned when they scored the wonder goal making it 1-1 that it would affect the guys but kudos to them came out fighting and were superb in the second half. Morelos full deserved the praise and man of the match accolade.

First time in a long long time I've watched rangers with a smile on my coupon! Last 2 games tav's had his best in a rangers jersey. I was all for moving him up into midfield to allow flaninho to go rb and Barisic lb but Candeias is making himself difficult to drop. Good to have these problems, players now having to earn a start. Morelos is making himself undroppable at this rate, The wee man is rubbish hot!
Apparently Good players don't need time to gel because they are good players (SG) . well fu@k me I can't wait to see us after another half dozen games.
No one likes us, we don't care.

Brilliant result tonight, pity about the goal we lost but great credit to come out 3.1 and give ourself a good chance.
A note on the transfer situation, it seems a bit ironic that the boys who get/ got the most stick, Windass, Tavernier and Morelos are really the only people that other teams wanted to buy!
I think the stick they get/ got is horrendous and totally unjustified.
Windass cawed his pan in on Sunday and still got stick. That's my thoughts.

Read these pages a lot and don't normally comment, but the abuse our top scorer from last year has taken is embarrassing. don't see why fans can't just wish him well or bite their tongue. at the end of the day we got 2.5 mil for a guy that cost next to next to nothing.

Fantastic result tonight against a proven consistent champions league team. For such a fresh new team to play that way together, I have great hopes for the season ahead.
Still 90 to go but I hope we get through and get Progres (they lost 2-1 away) want that revenge match.

Totally agree with boli-poly. Ejaria looks as though he will develop into a top player. Just don't think it will be this season tho. Positionally seems to be out of the mix too often and games can pass him by, which is a concern for a central midfielder. Hopefully he proves me wrong tho.

Whether you like it or not he's off and was looking for the move. Gerrard liked him, I didn't. Apart from 2 to 3 months last season he was missing for the rest of it. I never boo our players but I've said many times he was a luxury we can't afford. We need everyone in the team working hard and can't carry passengers. If he wasn't scoring he wasn't contributing at all. Wish him all the best though.

I've got 2 say that I'm a wee bit disappointed that we have sold/ selling windy. I know that he had his critics and would fall out of games ECT but that's the job of a good coach to iron out those faults in a young player. I'm looking at our current team and recent signings which in general I'm delighted with but I don't see any of our current midfielders score 19 goals and creating 18 assists. I think we will struggle to find a attacking mf with those stats for under 3mill
I'm also surprised that we sold declan John. I thought that when he played he never let us down. Plus the team is well short of left footed defenders. Surely if we get a couple of injuries to our full backs our option would be better with john rather that halliday.
Its also strange that we are looking to sell 2 of our keepers this could leave us short and relying on a young boy as cover.

Been over for a visit and cannot believe what BBC are like. My relatives told me that they had complained to them about lack of coverage of Rangers etc. They told me the response basically said it's not us it's big bad Rangers. If l was paying a licence fee l would be demanding a rebate due to the lack of coverage of the whole of Scottish football. This appears blatant when you see the content from that phoney jurno.
I think they are going to ask for a rebate on the fee.
Mischief making l know but they are a public funded broadcaster.

For me personally, Tav needs to stay, he helped us on our journey back and I hope he is part of the moment when we retake the throne! He deserves it, been one of, if not the best players in recent seasons and I feel we would be a bit worse off without him, fair dos we have Flanagan who is a rb, but Tav needs to stay for me.

windass has a value of 4 mil, declan john 1.5 welsh international, tavernier 6=7 million in today market value. nothing less for these players, gone are the days the english clubs take the micky mouse offers to us. personally i wouldn't sell Windass just yet, if we want rid of him i'd keep him for another year or so, see if his value increases, he's a good player. just wasted in positions that does not suit his style of play, he's a cf/ cam, scores a good amount of goals each year and right now this season i feel is our best chance at challenging for the title, i say keep him for another year and watch him grow.

I 💯 agree with you mate I said the exact same thing! He is getting played out of position didn’t he play left wing or something when he first joined us and wasn’t doing that great the fan slating him then moves to CAM and he banged in the goals last season!
I would chop and change between him and Arfield or a least bring Windass on as a sub for a good 20/ 25 in the position we all know he can score goals not on the wing were we know from previous he has no sort of form what so ever!
