Next manager is McCall. Why is he waiting till next week. Maybe till McCall is back from his duties with scotLand. So he can be at press conference.

Very worrying that Fulham are now interested have a sneaking suspicion old martybhoy may be right king not declaring new manager as the whole thing is smoke and mirrors think the job may have been mccall all along the board just wanted him to think they were considering others I sincerely hope I'm wrong

Fulham have a manager who recently signed an extension, can't see that happening. Especially if the rat Jackson reported it.

DK said he couldn't see it happening this week and it would probably be next week

Wonder if we will find out who Blue Pitch and Margarita Holdings are at EGM on Friday, I doubt it. Also heard a rumour from a usually well informed taxi driver that new manager will be someone not been mentioned yet, didn't say who though.

Aye & ask CG why they trio take 250 grang every month!?! Questions that the media should be asking not there cushy love in for DK . If MA comes out & shows Trancepaercy ( DK's fav word!)King will be the one that calls the shots The whole shambles should be laid out for all to see . 3 years on & its groundhog day.!Milk them cash cows is DK's plan plain & simple

I think dave king is being very clever by not pandering to ashley and repaying the £5 million loan right now as it gives us a bit leeway in negotiations over an amendment of the retail contracts. King says meet us half way with the contracts so the club can thrive and you will get your money and if not you can wait! At the end of the day ashley had his men draw down the loan thinking he had the upper hand in that regard and it's backfired to a certain extent

Believable5 Unbelievable5

10 Jun 2015 00:50:13
I'll ask again, maybe at some point someone will actually answer this. What "leeway", "negotiation tool", "bartering ploy" or whatever terminology you want to dress it up in, is a £5m debt to a man whose company sells £6m of merchandise every day of the year? Will one of you actually step up to the plate and answer this rather screamingly obvious flaw in your otherwise magnificent financial understandings? That whole last sentence was sarcasm, on the off chance any of your understandings of that is on a par with your Warren Buffet impersonations.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit my dim friend.

When has anyone said that we have the upper hand or bartering advantage on the Ashley situation? I think you will find that many of us understand that Ashley has us by the short n curly's over the debt. Carry on reading your tabloids and drinking your Buckie mate.
Dumb questions, get dumb answers.

Ashley still has naming rights and no doubt 100 other things even if we pay it back.

10 Jun 2015 07:56:08
Haha Nippon, jeez if I'm replying to an OP on said subject (for the third time) then surely all of you aren't getting the message and all of you aren't reading from the same hymn sheet. Did you read the OP? "Gives us a bit of leeway" or did you just charge in half-cocked without any idea of context, as per usual I would imagine. A reactionary ill-informed Ger, trust me you are not a dying breed.

Dim? I can safely say I've forgot more about the financial fiasco that is Rangers over the past three years than most of you ever knew but sure if inaccurate insults get you through keep plying away. And given that you clearly know less than zero about me you can keep friend and mate to folk you do know. You are a walking cliche Nippon.

10 Jun 2015 08:36:42
Hahaha Seem to have hit a nerve their Gaz?
Maybe fetch your sanitation pad?
I was recovering from a heavy night in Bangkok and by mistake I typed 'when has anyone' instead of 'how many have' in my post. I put my hands up for that boo boo, my bad.
Purely out of curiosity , do you and Marty get enjoyment out of our predicament? If that's the kind of sad little people you are I will just keep my 'friends' and 'mates' to folk I know.

Agree1 Disagree2

10 Jun 2015 09:45:06
Nippon you couldn't hit a nerve on me with a guided missile and a state of the art GPS system. Oh sanitation pad, wow bringing out the big gun insults now eh? Oscar Wilde would be in awe of your acerbic tongue. And you have the cheek to mention me, buckie and tabloids in the one sentence. You are a parody intellectual who can't debate and would rather insult than engage your brain.

I will answer your question in all sincerity however. It's nothing to do with enjoyment it is the inability to grasp the realism time after time after time. Of course there will at some point be light at the end of the tunnel and I don't blame any of you for wanting to grasp that but unnecessarily painting a picture a certain way just because you want it to be so only leads to further disappointment no? And this nonsense spin of £5m grabbing Ashley's attention etc is just garbage when you look at the vast sums the guy deals in. I have said in here many times realism and pragmatism will see you better off here, it can't see you any worse given some of the crap you have had to endure. But it is self-inflicted misery, disappointment in many cases, a club weaned on success desperate to celebrate any old point scoring victory, however hollow, however inaccurate.

Days into the demotion I recall someone saying "Well we will be the first team to win all 4 Scottish divisions." A totally arrogant presumption with not an ounce of research behind it. Dumbarton did it some time ago. Days into "the journey" well that's the largest ever attendance in the world for a division 4 game, turns out some Brazilian team had higher (Recife is springing to mind) and so it continues to this day, just a Rangers tinted view on life with only one winner, reality is not like that currently, the past three years sure as hell haven't been like that. It is time for the fanciful dreaming to end and some pragmatic realism as to where Rangers actually are to be embraced. It will stand you in better stead longer term I promise you.

Agree3 Disagree2

10 Jun 2015 10:28:28
Nipponbear can't answer for the other two but yes I get great enjoyment from the predicament your club finds itself in and if the boot was on the other foot so would you , to say anything else would make you a liar . Do you think man u , barca or inter fans would not be enjoying it as much if man city , real or ac Milan were in your position or vice versa? But if it helps my old mother used to tell me back in the nineties when you were on top nothing lasts for ever and that it all goes in cycles when it comes to football no matter how strong or week one team looks and she was spot on , so I reckon we have only got 10-15 years left on top 😅

Great Fab!
Thankfully I look on life a little different to yourself. I could not give two hoots what happens to any other team. I support Rangers and love to see them do well. I do miss the old firm games , of course, but on the grand scheme of things it is only a game! There are other things to challenge us in this life ( for Marty to tie his shoes perhaps? Don't have a flaky Marty it's just a joke) and I can think of many a thing I would do rather than making pointless echoes on different fans page. Why would I slag of my celtic following friends?. Good luck to all three of you!

Agree1 Disagree2

10 Jun 2015 11:37:20
Sorry Chris forgot to get back to you. I agree with you, regards Ashley, he needed Rangers alive to sell shirts, so a £5m loan means nothing to him. It got him some more power and some folk in the door. Then he got lobbed out, he then decides to use his £5m to call the bluff of the three bears and King and test their mettle, see if they did have £5m up front, maybe he heard whispers of otherwise, who knows. But he's a businessman and needless to say he knew he had to offer some enticement to get this passed at the EGM, so he offered other sweeteners which in the cold light of day are actually good for the club however King wishes to dress the whole thing up. Similarly he has valid questions regards the Nomad and stock exchange which King has all but ignored in his counter proposition. But it will take someone better than King to outwit Ashley here I reckon, the guy will have the best lawyers etc money can buy on tap.

Gaz in regards to your second last post on this thread.
Firstly how ironic to drop to my level and label me a 'parody intellectual who can't debate and would rather insult than engage your brain. ' nice one!
Then you drivel on with someone's 'arrogant presumption' over being the only team to win all the Scottish leagues, dismissing Dumbarton. One person said this to you and you think this is the collective opinion for all gers supporters? Very narrow minded of you .
Similarly you regurgitate Recifes 'world record' 'springing to mind' with respect to their own attendance achievements in the 4 th tier. Good for them but who cares? It was a tabloid title Gaz.

I think lots of People on here have short memories. We were run by a bunch of crooks going no where and they didn't care about the fans or the club. After the last 3 years granted we won't trust anyone but one thing is for sure we have to give Dave King our full support . He has stepped up and has a plan. If in 2-3 years it's a shambles then give him stick but until then stop the negative crap stop moaning and get behind this board! It's a fresh start it won't be perfect but hopefully our amazing club will be built back to where it belongs . At the top!

yeah they have got us away from the chancres that where taking money out the club but I think this was a lot to do with supporters again if wasn't for boycotts ect they wouldn't have had the chance we the fan will back them but they need to attract these absent fans back into stadium like I said previously they should match the fans investment pound for pound would make a lot of sense need stop all the stupid promises and deal with the facts and make good on small promises instead of grand gestures and the fans will start to trust and believe again you must understand fans will be weary un till they start seeing action instead of words I am weary but it will not stop me buying seasons tickets to watch my team

Actually the current Chairman has more conviction than all the board members had in total over the last 25 years .

How do we know Dave King is a Rangers man . He has said that he has watched very few Rangers matches this season . Didn't he leave Scotland only a few days before the Motherwell match, and came back shortly after the second match . I know real Rangers' supporters wouldn't miss those games if possible . When lodging his takeover he talked about all the MD's he had looking after his businesses.

Agree2 Disagree1

10 Jun 2015 22:38:51
what a stupid post, he has several business concerns in SA as well as a home and a family. One minute we are asking him to invest the next minute we moan because he is looking after the very things that would make the investment possible. We just don't know who is going to be appointed the delay in making the appointment may well be down to factors outside his control.the next manager will be a massive improvement on the last one .A little bit of patience is required we have been shafted so many times since David Murray done the dirty on us we have lost all trust in everyone .I hope we get the manager right but we won't know until we back them and see what they can do.Let us be optimistic,we must improve on last season no matter who it is.

Will be a pointless post for some but since most of us know the next manager is 90% going to be warburton and me and probably others know he prefers to use a 4-2-3-1 system so going to put out a team in that formation with some players we've been linked with and ones I'd want to see here plus try to bring through a bit of youth even though at the moment they aren't doing very well also I feel warburton may try bring one or two in that he had from Brentford last season and king has said they budget will be a decent one Bell/Tommy Lee (Chesterfield) Sinnamon/Moses odubajo(Brentford) McGregor Zaliukas/Harlee Dean (Brentford) Wallace - Murdoch Toumani Diagouraga (Brentford) - Scott Allan (hibs) Haris Vuckic (soon to be released) Ryan Christie (ICT)/Alex Pritchard (Spurs) - Hardie/Miahi Roman (Pandurii Targu) Not very well layed out but typed out on my phone

Derek McInnes will be our next manager according to a few people I know who work and coach in the SFA. This is the same people that were bang on with the Ian Murray and Allan Johnson appointments. I myself, don't see why McInnes would leave Aberdeen but apparently it's happening! £5 at 11/2 on McBookie it is!

I can't see Rangers signing McInnes as signing for Rangers would be seen by McInnes as a step down . Mc Inness would also know the size of the Rangers warchest, and may not be impressed .

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2015 21:56:45
I think the next manager of Rangers is not among the favourites that have been mentioned . King has said not getting promotion has meant some of the potential managers have dropped out . These probably have been the "best " candidates .
Appointing a manager has become a very difficult task for Rangers . Potential candidates with even a cursory knowledge of Scottish Football are probably concerned by not only the lack of funds for new players but also the scarcity of existing players , no scouting team and not a lot going for it .

If we haven't more money than Aberdeen to spend then I would be very worried

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Jun 2015 09:24:04
you can not be bit worried with kings statement from him So far, since we came in, we have demonstrated that we have done everything we said we were going to do.
“The club needed money – we put the money in. That’s an absolute fact.“We’ve done our bit so I’m asking the fans to think back to three seasons ago when, for their first home game in the Third Division, Rangers had the biggest attendance in the UK.

what promises have the kept to so far if it wasn't for the fans he wouldn't be there today he says he has demonstrated everything he says he was gona do so far that is a load of rubbish he has only put in a small fraction compared to supporters still no manager no directer football changed there mind on that one no listing no scouting infrastructure no repairs no new players and no proper investment from them yet all been promises and no action

he then says for the manager to have a playing budget of 12 million pound the fans will need buy 45.000 season tickets there is no problem with that cause the fans will support the team but will they reach that target we will see the problem with that statement is where is the promised investment from king and his investors they are asking fans to pay once again without any real investment from them he does say more cash will come from the boardroom if needed but that is questionable if he truly wants sell that amount of season tickets again then he and his investors should match the investment from the fans pound for pound and invest in the team scouts coaches and repair to stadium ect a joint venture between king and the fans I see that more beneficial to our club

he seems to think they have done there bit and tops it off with saying We’ve done our bit so I am now asking they fans to do there practically he puts it in a longer statement that that and goes on bout three years ago he doesn't need ask the fans they will back him it should be us asking him to back the team and he has yet to prove that they have any sustainable amounts of money to take us forward that is needed

Believable11 Unbelievable3

09 Jun 2015 10:25:53
The press really do glorify Mr king. Why. They have totally worded his statement differently making him sound like some kind of saviour. They have the chance to ask a number of questions but choose not to. Why was he not asked about his investmen. He is relying on season ticket money just like previous regimes. It All smells a bit iffy. A rise in season ticket money. How can they justify that. He looks like a rabbit in the headlights. Take it he's away back to south Africa away from it all. Usual. Make a statement then bugger off.

Some strange stuff from DK. Telling football agents and the rest of the world that we will need to overspend. Good luck to the next manager trying to sign players at a bargain price with that kind of soundbite.

Also letting any potential investors know he wasn't putting in money as an 'investment', in other words investors will likely lose their dosh. Sheer stupidity saying that, not to mention investors being put off by him telling the world that he isn't going to pay a debt any time soon. Not the best way to get folk to hand over their cash to Rangers with him in command, is it?

Then there's his talk about things being worse than he imagined under the bonnet but hey ho, we're still in the best shape since he has been a member of the board. How so?

Likewise, we can't attract some managers because we're still in the championship but that also seems to be a good thing as it gives us more time to prepare for the top flight?

Contradictions. Contradictions.

Think you need to see how the close season pans out before making judgements. People are to eager to jump in and make sweeping statements. Martybhoy you are a classic example of this although strangely enough it's always negative. If it is Warburton to get the job it's a positive move and hopefully a step in the right direction

Some need to simmer down over King. We are weeks in to his regime. Coming in and picking up the mess left by the previous incubants who made a disaster of running our club. So many quick to critise a man who has previously put £20M in to our football club, lost it and is back for me. Some need to think back would you rather give King a chance or let Easdale and Ashley back in the door. Stop being spoilt brats, back the board back your club.

09 Jun 2015 16:51:32
Why is he saying you are debt free. Strange thing to say. The press cower away from asking decent questions. Just like to glam it all up. Season ticket prices are up and he hits out with this statement. Am I the only one on here seeing what he is actually doing and meaning. he's basically doing the same as the rest of them. he's lost the plot already going back on things he is saying. Mr Ashley will soon put little dave in his place on Friday.

nothingbutthestruth the old board are history Murray ect have been in for a few months now what have they been doing Ashley will not give up his contracts so we will just need live with it pointless negotiating with him I personally did not trust whyte green ect so never attend games as I was not stupid and realised what had been happening from the day Murray sold the club yeah the previous board did make complete mess and it will take time to fix but when the new chairman comes in and makes press statements and promises then backs out of them can you blame people for being wary about him do not think you need to be calling fellow supporters spoiled brats and telling them to simmer down we are far from that just concerned about the team I will be buying mine and my family's season tickets this year but why say the fans buying season ticket books will impact on the managers budget that is a strange one to me considering he previously said he would invest more than 20 million I thought this would have meant on the playing squad and other things like it or not the board will be scrutinised by people they will have time because there are rangers men but they need come good on a lot of these promises to get the fans back that where not going to games after we won the egm

why does he and his investors not match the fans pound for pound and we invest it in all parts of our club this would then bring back the missing fans and get the place buzzing again this would show fans he means business this seems like a very good idea in my opinion

I wonder has King got any money or assets that he can quickly convert into cash , after paying so much cash to the South African tax authorities . Everything we heard yesterday .is the same old script from a different mouth.
All this is going to do is spend many millions of OUR pounds in Kings quest for personal glory.
First thing he should do before any of our fans invest in season tickets is to get the shares back on the market,,,,,,, get a NOMAD, because unfortunately I think you need watching and at the moment no one is allowed to see anything,,,,,,, at present time you are worse than Ashley and co. with no one to reign you in.
