Welcome to the famous Glasgow Rangers Pedro. Let's get behind him bears.

09 Mar 2017 23:32:54
Hospitality for the big man's first game in charge next Saturday! 🍸🍻🍺🍷🍾😂

10 Mar 2017 15:42:40
Welcome to the newest club in Scotland Pedro. I know your allegiances lie on the other side of town but at least you'll be close enough to Paradise to hear the celebrations.
You lot had better get behind him, he's going to need one hell of a helping hand! lol HH

10 Mar 2017 15:40:57
I will get behind him but wouldn't have been my first choice, I wonder who recommended him to the board?

09 Mar 2017 18:45:59
On Sunday Rangers Must set up to Counter attack, as Celtic pour men forward when they attack.

09 Mar 2017 19:46:06
We don't have the defenders to do that. Really concerned about Sunday could be another doing

09 Mar 2017 21:53:50
I think we can give them a fright on Sunday? They won't go through season unbeaten and we're the ones to do it? Come on gers in tae them

09 Mar 2017 23:17:24
Espekay

Admire your optimism however at the moment I can't recall there being as big a gap between the 2 teams. We don't have the players to get a result and it's likely we will get another trouncing

10 Mar 2017 00:00:04
I've been on here a lot tonight. Few topics going and I've posted what I've discussed earlier today at work. I'm saying 4-2 or 3-1 for sunday

10 Mar 2017 09:19:29
We just don't have the pace at the back to deal with dembele or the protection in midfield! Having said that they are not unbeatable and we will get a few chances which we must put away

10 Mar 2017 15:05:29
Rangers have no pace to counter attack anyone. Booting the ball up the park is not counter attacking football. It will be at least a 3 goal advantage to Celtic maybe more. Brace yourself.

10 Mar 2017 15:13:31
Cant believe the negativity. We are playing a mediocre Celtic who rule the roost in a terrible league. Get a grip and behave like Rangers supporters. Gers can do it.

10 Mar 2017 14:52:51
I don't think we'll win by that much.

10 Mar 2017 15:33:25
One thing to remember guys. There was only one goal in it for last 2 games. 5-1 was freak result. They were better side but 5-1? We have a chance. The bookies offering 7/1 and I've backed the gers. Keep the faith guys. If only to take the smug look of Perma tan Brenda's toothy face.

10 Mar 2017 16:12:19
thats rangers problem right there . we don't take our chances and if we did teams would crumble when playing us

10 Mar 2017 21:58:56
We will see on Sunday if your team has big hearts like you have big mouths.

09 Mar 2017 17:53:23
I'm as desperate as the rest of us to get a manager in asap but this new guy is clearly using Rangers as a stepping stone something that Dave King pointed out that Warburton did and clearly wasn't happy about it so I don't understand our Board anymore, this guy must be cheap!

09 Mar 2017 20:34:57
Apparent £800k is not cheap

10 Mar 2017 15:30:53
Of course he will. However if he gets us to where we should be we can then move on

10 Mar 2017 15:15:06
£800K a year ain't cheap. Give him a break and DK. Remember where we could have been under Ashkey's thumb. God bless DK.

09 Mar 2017 17:12:21
Hand on heart, how many of our fans believe that dk will live up to his latest promise, new manager and director of football, in the next two months?

{Ed033's Note - Above question made into a voting poll.

DOF Poll

09 Mar 2017 20:35:39
Looks as if we are 1/ 2 way there already

10 Mar 2017 15:22:45
I do. Just remember where the club could have been without DK. Under the thumb of that muppet Ashley. A Little humility please. Yes we are a long way from our destination but at least there are gers men at the helm. Get behind them.

09 Mar 2017 16:45:40
anyone else think it would be stupid to get pedro in before the old firm?

i honestly can't see any sense in it. okay if it was 2 weeks ago but not now would do more harm than good.

09 Mar 2017 17:06:09
I think they have already stated that GM will be in charge for the game, regardless of when new manager arrives.

09 Mar 2017 19:47:19
Last thing the new manager wants is a drubbing in his first game in charge

09 Mar 2017 20:50:02
That's the spirit Bengy hope the team are more confident than you

09 Mar 2017 23:27:52
Laudrup1

I am giving an honest opinion on what I think will happen. Sorry if it doesn't suit you.

10 Mar 2017 15:39:48
Bengy don't be so defeatest. Its a football game. Anything can happen. Look at the Nou Camp! We can do it mate

10 Mar 2017 16:16:15
most realistic fans think this is going to be a bad day for us on sunday and i'm one of them but just like the rest of them i want to have egg on my face on sunday and hope we are all proved wrong including the media but can't see it to be honest

09 Mar 2017 15:34:23
I read a lot of people on here and in the media being negative about pedro coming in but I think we should atleast try and be positive about it. It may turn out to be a coup for us, and also people saying that he doesn't hang around at a club for long is a problem aswell but who can honestly say if he were to only hang around until end of next season and he delivered us the league title would you not be happy? Let's just see how he gets on before shooting the guy down. We all need to get right behind him. Come on pedro!

09 Mar 2017 16:46:15
I've seen! Go Pedro and take King with you!

09 Mar 2017 17:52:53
What exactly have you seen WeAreRangers?

09 Mar 2017 18:32:00
The Celtic brotherhood

09 Mar 2017 19:29:00
Are we going down the whole "joey Barton supported celtic" rubbish again. Yes he congratulated celtic for winning the title afew seasons back big deal. Do you really think he knew then that rangers were going to ask him to become manager? I don't know much about the guy but he comes across as someone who hates losing (whether it's against celtic or not) which is exactly what we need atm. A no nonsense manager who can get the best out of players. Who cares if likes (or liked) celtic. Let's just see what happens eh?

09 Mar 2017 20:38:00
As usual too many "supporters" on here desperate for us to fail. negative before the guy even starts.

Be behind the team you turncoats

09 Mar 2017 20:44:18
Reference to our new manager congratulating Celtic in 2015 for their "4 in a row" and "keep it up brothers" .

09 Mar 2017 20:52:33
Anyone who doesn't want to give him the support then should just stay away need to get behind him and the team

10 Mar 2017 07:16:51
To be fair the team he was managing at the time had a set up with that lot going on in some sort of capacity so I wouldn't let that bother you to much guys

10 Mar 2017 12:01:11
Stubbs approved appointment. Half you guys have lost it. You never let this come in the front door as you only invite drama nothing else. Self inflicted disaster. King must go

10 Mar 2017 15:08:38
Seriously? He reads something out and he's a celtic fan, even if he is so what? most footballers playing in their home country will play against their supported club, but they get paid to play against them, if they do that well, and if he manages us ell, then what's the difference?

10 Mar 2017 16:20:06
im sure he was a scout for celtic! but i don't care as long as he is good for us

09 Mar 2017 14:19:02
I am loving the amount of "experts" and our own fans who have written us off for Sunday. Lots of people might just end up with lots of egg on their face particularly if was I believe we will follow up a positive on sunday with a result in the cup semi!

09 Mar 2017 15:26:06
Deluded, what makes you think we'll give them a game? we have been terrible and just because we've won the last 2 games, doesn't mean we'll do well against them.
Obviously i would love a win but i can't see it and don't say i'm negative, there's nothing positive about us right now.

09 mar 2017 15:39:27
id love to be optimistic but and i'm not being pessimistic here. i just can't see us even getting a draw but i hope i get egg on my face for saying that.

09 Mar 2017 16:02:47
Totally agree mate. It will be tough but they are NOT world beaters. Batter them that's what i say. Plus Keirnan is banned. Got to be a bonus.

09 Mar 2017 16:20:12
Hope you're right stefreid! I just hope you haven't egg on your face come sunday

09 mar 2017 16:22:04
i sincerely hope i end up with egg on my face stef, but i still feel the odds are overwhelmingly against us.
( please let me be wrong )

09 Mar 2017 18:59:54
Stud love it, I can't call you negative but you call me deluded!
Can I ask for an apology @ half 2 on sunday

10 Mar 2017 13:28:30
Keirnan your fastest centre back, I know that saying something but true.

09 Mar 2017 11:34:29
Since Garner is out for Sunday. will Dodoo be on the Bench? I really don't see the point in us having spent what little money we had for a player that's not even around the first team on match day!

09 Mar 2017 11:53:17
It was a waste of money. We now know that and have to move forward. He simply is not good enough!

09 Mar 2017 12:02:35
I still believe Dodoo could be a good player. He's still a young lad. Needs a manager to install some belief in him and give him some game time.

09 Mar 2017 12:52:56
I also think he could be a good player too, hopefully with new management he will come good or ship him out! should get at least our money back

09 Mar 2017 13:42:11
Up until the last game he was 9n the same amount of goals as Garner. Most of his apps being 20-30 minutes. He just needs a run of games, I don't think he's played a full game yet or at least not many. Give the boy a chance.

09 Mar 2017 13:42:52
I think dodoo could be a bit of a player as well, I think we need to play him a bit deeper where he can turn and face the goal and run a defenders. The game against Hearts where he played up front showed he didn't have the game for that particular role. Couldn't shield the ball and couldn't link up play, but then later in the game he drifted out wide and looked dangerous. Hopefully the next manager recognises this and he gets another chance.

09 Mar 2017 14:06:56
I think DOODOO is a DODO and we should make him as extinct total waste of money.

09 Mar 2017 15:48:06
Dodoo last 2 outings scored 3 goals then was dropped for some reason maybe because warb pals where fit again

09 Mar 2017 15:56:24
I don't know how good a player dodoo is I haven't seen enough of the boy. So I don't know how anyone that says he's crap can make that judgement when they're seeing him for 10 mins if they're lucky.

09 mar 2017 15:44:02
blue voice,
for me he is too weak for the scottish game but he does look a better player on the ball than garner does.
garner for me is a bully on the pitch. i think dodoo could be a good super-sub

09 Mar 2017 19:07:36
I work in Leicester with a lot of LCFC season ticket holders and they all said they were gutted he left. I believe they offered him new terms too but decided to come to us. He needs game time. It's the same with Rossiter. There is no doubting his qualities and once fit I am sure he and dodo will be main stays in the first 11

09 Mar 2017 20:14:08
Spot on blue nose. They just need games and confidence. All this pish about not being strong enough. That's the Scottish mentality though, if Messi was a junior coming through the ranks in Scotland I'm sure people would say he isn't strong enough. Sure if your a target man up front you need to be physical but dodoo had zero help against hearts. Just needs to be played in his proper position like the majority of the team.

09 Mar 2017 11:21:08
Weak with no heart. This was levelled at the current team by Andy Walker in todays papers. Unfortunately its true for most of the season. Too many players have no fight and accept. Hopefully the new manager will weed them out one by one and replace with players of better character and ability. To accept defeat and not give your all in a rangers jersey is disgraceful and can be levelled at some of these players. Its time for the whole squad to step up to the plate on Sunday. They owe themselves, the fans and the club a big performance on Sunday if they go down at least show some heart and go down fighting.

09 Mar 2017 13:07:13
The person to blame for the lack of heart and fighting spirit was Warburton, he wanted a bunch of pansies playing for him. He built is squad in the image of himself but he never built a team, their was no fight in the manager and consequently no fight in the players!

09 Mar 2017 13:38:17
If the gers players who take the field on sun don't put up a show after what macavennie and walker have said about them then their really is no hope for them.

09 Mar 2017 15:18:29
Couldnt agree more TOMUSA, i always got the impression MW was to nicey nicey to the point it made me cringe in his pressers.

09 Mar 2017 15:10:14
Totally agree. Hope the press cuttings are on changing room walls and all over auchinhowe.

09 Mar 2017 15:55:55
listen guys i don't like the way things panned out with warbs this season but i won't put down the guy. he did turn things around for us and got us playing a good style of football but i don't know what happened but i won't bad mouth him again.

09 Mar 2017 11:07:33
If Barcelona can do the impossible v PSG then surely we can do same v mediocre celtic team. They are not anywhere near as good as they and the bias press claim. Just look at europe. Gers can do this and the semi final. Believe guys.

09 Mar 2017 11:51:44
I can't agree with your first part, Celtic whether you like it or not are a good side, so beating them with our bunch of 3rd division rejects would be really sweet, go get em Gers

09 Mar 2017 07:21:22
McCoist says we are no further forward than when he left.

No, Ally. Unbelievably, given our current predicament, we are! We're out the Championship for starters, ya fud! Away back to your garden.

09 Mar 2017 08:05:24
Gotta love Ally, really craving attention these days.

09 Mar 2017 10:28:13
£800,000+ to manage Rangers as a third division team smacks of greed, aligning him with the shysters that were on the board at the time. I'd have had more time for the man if he had just negotiated a wage reduction instead not a deferral.

I see that he's in the press today stating that it wasn't his fault that he didn't vote on Resolution 11 share issue last year. He was out of the country. It wouldn't surprise me if he took a bung from the fat man's camp, not to vote. Cash before club for Ally.

09 Mar 2017 10:46:34
Totally agree guys. McCoist was part of the problem. Great player but worst manager in our history. A money grabbing liar.

09 Mar 2017 14:07:06
I think Ally is right though when he says the D. O. F is a complete waste of money and the most successful clubs don't need a D. O. F and that the money should be used to get better players.

09 Mar 2017 20:16:29
Why would anyone listen to Ally on these matters, he proved beyond doubt he knows nothing about football management. Good player end of, same as Chris Sutton, Charlie Nicholas and all the other ex players who feel they are qualified to pass judgement on Rangers. Steve McManaman opened last nights coverage of the Barcelona by stating as fact they would not overcome the deficit, only an arrogant ex footballer would make such a categorical statement, so please do not quote one of these prix when discussing the nuances of football management they do not know anymore than your next door neighbour. If you need confirmation watch sky sports on a Saturday afternoon .

09 Mar 2017 01:20:02
I'd like to think overall this season us rangers fans have been graceful in defeat and held ours hands up in acceptance that celtic are the far better team and we have a lot of work to do. But I guarantee here and now, if we some how manage to get a result on Sunday that there will be some excuse made by the other side (and definitely by Mr Sutton) that either the ref made a bad decision or some other rubbish.

Celtics problem is they are bad winners and losers. Never been taught to lose gracefully Haha let's hope for a solid performance if nothing more. Tbh if we are going to beat celtic this season i'd rather we save it for the semi final.

09 Mar 2017 06:21:17
You having a laugh? What about kiernan getting hounded by fans inside Ibrox. Why do you really care what Sutton says? He is paid to get people talking and watching bt and it's worked.

09 Mar 2017 07:30:28
Youse are gracefully loosers . I can list at least 4 times when you see have been beat and wrecked stadiums cities ect . U really are bitter. Why is it celtic that get invited to every friendly tournaments going . Yet rangers do not? .

{Ed001's Note - because Celtic have money and the Celtic diaspora wants to watch them play. Nothing to do with fan troubles, that is not even considered by most friendly tournament organisers.}

09 Mar 2017 08:05:53
Well said, they are dreadful losers. Remember Boruc refusing to shake hands after Old Firm defeats and swaggering round the pitch like the ned he is. Then Di Canio when they were getting pumped yet again and his disgraceful carry on pursuing Ian Ferguson. And how many times have we seen that great footballer Broony trying to start trouble.
Poor losers . no class

09 Mar 2017 10:51:03
Bottom line hear is Celtic are average side but well ahead of everyone else in Scotland as evidenced by the Red Imps and Barcelona 7 0. Brenda will leave as soon as he gets offer from Down South. 8 or even 9 in a row means nothing. We can and will stop the magic 10. 45thousand fans each home game tells you eventually we will sort out the mess financially.

09 Mar 2017 11:09:13
Lance and celticeob. I said ''overall'' which means mostly. Sorry if u couldn't work that bit out. I can't account for stupid minority. Which btw every club has. Even yours. I know you may find that hard to believe. Fir Park springs to mind?

09 Mar 2017 11:37:20
Why is it always about fans or crowd size when 1 part of old firm is not doing well. Rangers fans and celtic fans have caused havoc no matter where they go.

Old firm fans can't give credit to the other team when they are doing well. Here is a wee stat for you. Between souness and smith they done 1 treble between them in 11 year. Rodgers could achieve that in 1 year.
But you shall get all the Scottish football is rubbish, well I can't remember a good team when rangers were doing 9 in a row. Biggins, muggelton, payton, Stuart gray. Yes they were actually celtic players when rangers were doing 9 in a row.

09 Mar 2017 12:00:30
There's a lot of guys on here who give Celtic credit. What we won't do is pretend Celtic are some kind of Barca/ Bayern hybrid like a lot of the Celtic support seem to believe.

09 Mar 2017 12:17:07
That's only guys who don't understand the game that think like that. We are a nothing in Europe at the moment and can't see it changing to be honest

I just don't get rangers fans going on about how rubbish our league is then 2 days later the are boasting about winning 54 titles, contradicts itself does it not.

09 Mar 2017 12:28:39
I think a lot of them are just frustrated that there's no challenge to Celtic just now. That being said, the league is a bit rubbish but it's the league we're stuck with and it's up to us to try and mount a serious challenge.

09 Mar 2017 14:05:52
Dunoonbluebear - they are ' always cheated, never defeated ' . I would love for Rangers to win 1 - 0 on Sunday with Bobby Madden ( the ref ) tapping the ball in to the net from 2 yards in an offside position just to see the piggery go into meltdown and Muttons face exploding due to rage!
The only downside would be the Begging Bowl Bloggers subscription numbers would increase!

09 Mar 2017 19:22:34
Am not saying for one minute celtic are perfect . And are by far the finished article on the park . But how cause u say youse are good loosers . Celtic park . Hampden. First park . Manchester to name a few . Youse weren't exactly great loosers then where you? .

09 Mar 2017 20:13:23
Fir park * can *
