I know we've been winning last couple games with Wilson n Mcrorie but I still think the main pairing should be Alves and Mcrorie.

09 Nov 2017 23:13:57
100% agree. For what my opinion is worth.

10 Nov 2017 10:17:01
I thought Wilson did very well the last couple of games but aye, you're probably right. It must be difficult not to put the Portuguese captain's name down first on the team sheet. A wealth of experience can only benefit the young lad.

My boss was talking to Barry Robsons dad who we worked with recently and he was saying that Mcinnes is saying nothing to them regarding the Rangers job. To me that means he's keen to talk but i don't think its guaranteed. He safe at Aberdeen, if he comes to us i think he would need reassurance that he would be given time and can they guarantee him that? Most want instant success which he just won't give us. i'm still undecided on him but would back him 100%. My concern would be that he won't attract big named players. he's done a fantastic job at Aberdeen but even my boss who is a die hard Aberdeen supporter thinks he's done all he can now and would happily see him come to us instead which worries me. He wants Tommy Wright at the sheep instead.

09 Nov 2017 21:35:41
AllyRFC, like yourself mate, if derek mcinnes does become our next manager, i'll also 100% back him to the hilt, willing him to do well and to stop the eastend mob getting 10 in a row! I don't think he can take aberdeen any further and hand on heart, he's NOT my choice or in my top 3 for the rangers manager's job! IMHO we have to aim to secure a higher calibre manager, than derek mcinnes! Someone who can lay a glove on brendan rodgers!

09 Nov 2017 22:27:01
Aye i think so too. Dereks done a great job with the sheep but i'm just not sure he's ready for Rangers yet. I don't like his style of play either, seems to play a lot of long balls. Iv told the boss to keep at him to see if barry finds anything out lol but its unlikely his dad would pass on the info. Just found it funny he's not even letting his coaches know what he's thinking on it. If we are as skint as we seem to be tho i don't think many big names will be interested if theirs no money to spend. I still worry its going to be mcleish or someone like that. Would definitely love a big name as a statement of intent but not if its going to ruin us financially

09 Nov 2017 23:15:53
you love an exclamation mark eh coop mate. can always tell its your posts before i see the name haha

09 Nov 2017 18:04:34
What happened to the "I have it on good authority by my imagined sorry not-to-be-revealed source that Derek McI will be paraded in front of the world as new manager of the Rangers on Thursday"
Aye Right! 😘🙈.

Good point Lego, . However announcing in Aberdeen when Scotland are playing there would be a bit rich surely.
Maybe tomorrow or once international break starts seems more likely

09 Nov 2017 10:19:16
Ryan Jack to start tonight against the Netherlands. Good luck to the lad and hopefully Kris Boyd's negativity spurs him on.

09 Nov 2017 15:36:09
Agree, Boyd although once upon a time a great player for Rangers is now an utter tosser. Both him and Ferguson a disgrace to the club.

09 Nov 2017 17:18:41
What’s fergie done?

09 Nov 2017 18:17:19
opened his big trap and spouts utter garbage

09 Nov 2017 19:16:03
At RB tho? Has he played there before?

10 Nov 2017 01:54:20
Ally I believe he broke into the sheep squad at RB. CDM’s often cover full backs during games as well mind, that’s why defensive mids are used there I’m absence of first choice full backs.

Tbh him and Tierney played excellent I thought? Midfield was poor.

10 Nov 2017 06:25:53
He’s getting booed by an element of the Scotland fans

09 Nov 2017 08:11:35
I'll go and wash my mouth out straight after this comment!

Good piece in the Record today from Sutton about what Cascarino and Barton have recently said regarding Scottish football.

09 Nov 2017 10:04:16
As much as I can't stand sutton most of the time. To be fairto him, he stands up for Scottish football constantly on BT. And I know he has digs at Gers every chance he gets, but most of it is true.

He's still an enormous p***k!

09 Nov 2017 10:27:05
Stands up for Scottish football as without it he'd be n the dole queue!

09 Nov 2017 13:07:50
No, beacuse he's actually right about it. There is decent players and teams up here, and the reason we don't compete in europe is due to the TV rights that the english get is 100x the amount anyone in our league get's.
Like I said he's still a p***k but does talk sense.

09 Nov 2017 14:16:58
Have just read the article and was on my way here to post a similar comment. He might be a bit of an a**e and also wear green tinted glasses but time and time again he stands up for Scottish football.

He defends it constantly and really seems to understand the restraints a lot of clubs face and appreciate the good work a lot of them are doing with very little money.

All pundits support teams and give them a break and enjoy having a pop at their rivals. There have been plenty of die hard rangers men in the media, promoting die hard rangers views over the years.

I know we have had it hard the last couple of years but it's really time to stop this "ban the media if they say a bad word about us" and "the whole world is out to get us" attitude.

09 Nov 2017 15:58:39
I totally agree that we are held back with regards tv money etc but where are the good players brought through in Scotland I could count them on my one hand! Proof is in the national team that half is made up of players born bred and played all there days south of the border the standard is garbage and players don't develop as they should in comparison to other nations

10 Nov 2017 06:10:13
Are they really that far from the truth?

10 Nov 2017 06:23:05
AllyRangers

Apart from Celtic what other decent teams are there in Scotland? And why do these teams now fail regularly against minnow nations in the Europa league qualifiers?

10 Nov 2017 06:23:58
Look at the schools. No playing fields or crap surface. Look at coaches. Not qualified because it cost too much to get the badge so poor level of coaching. Look at what Iceland did 15 years ago. Put 5 a side and full pitches in every school. Took in around 500 cosches every year and put them to B badge level free of charge. Puts senior coaches over them who updste their understanding of the game and pass on knowledge. Took 15 years but Iceland are a much better side than Scotland so it can be done but it needs a plan and money from government. The SFA can't afford it so its got to be from above them.
