I think Pedro should look to loan out pena in January to a Falkirk or a st mirren or that to get fitness up instead of struggling in the rangers team give him a bit of confidence.

10 Oct 2017 07:49:48
With any luck we never paid the 3mil upfront, so let's see if his previous club will take him back and we will call it quits with the cash we have parted with already. Same with herrera.

10 Oct 2017 10:30:49
Give them time, I remember when hately n mcCoist got booed when they signed, some come good 2nd season and have a crap 1st

10 Oct 2017 13:52:44
After watching John Fleck at our club as a bit part player at the Gers, it has to be said no thanks? I know he was a young man with great prospect but his attitude and work rate were always questionable! Not for me 🇬🇧.

11 Oct 2017 11:32:22
I agree Yately. Flattered to deceive too often for my liking. Similar to Gregg Wylde.

11 Oct 2017 11:40:32
@ coldo. so you want to return Pena and Herrera to their former clubs and call it quits and no pay for them after you've tried them out for a wee while then realised they're a couple of Dumplin's. aye that's a great idea! just stick them in a big cardboard parcel and send them back to Columbia and Mexico and you'll get your money back in 21 days.

Either that or you can pick another couple of players instead
and see if they're any better for you. the transfer business works very similar to Amazon.

11 Oct 2017 16:58:55
Why Columbia eàsypussy the two of them are mexican

11 Oct 2017 22:53:13
Easypeasy, if your going to try and rip the pish outta someone at least get your facts right! not any of those 2 players are from Colombia! Both Mexican

11 Oct 2017 22:58:00
Why would you want to send them back to Columbia?

09 Oct 2017 21:54:55
Pedro interview about this week's training schedule before St Johnstone game included a bit more info on bounce game with Morton. 3x35 minutes sections with 3 different teams and 4 young teenage rs making up the defence in the last third. Great game experience for the young lads should do them a world of good. c'mon us.

09 Oct 2017 20:00:35
not long agp i got pelters on here from fans for having the cheek to suggest we should sign up Joe Ledley as he was available for free. Can anyone here explain why i got pelters for suggesting a 30 year old international with 74 caps? being an ex Celtic player is not an acceptable excuse so don't even go there. Suggestions please.

09 Oct 2017 20:20:47
Maybe he wouldn’t want to come to Rangers after playing for Celtic?

09 Oct 2017 20:37:28
cant disagree with that sparky since we never made him an offer we will never know

09 Oct 2017 20:41:29
Ritchie, unless you say rangers are great and all is good then they will disagree and call you negative. Poor wee souls

09 Oct 2017 20:47:41
Would be a useful addition and I'd have no issue with his previous with Celtic, but I can't see it happening! Really want to see Atakayi get some first team action soon!

09 Oct 2017 23:47:32
Play someone instead of Windass it beggars belief how this idiot is still getting a game shows occasional flashes of ball control and little else he had a few good runs against Motherwell and that's been about it apart from his header against I think it was dundee

09 Oct 2017 23:42:21
@Ritchie - did he not let his contract run down at the piggery because he wanted to return South? Can't see why he would want to return North at his age?

10 Oct 2017 05:47:31
Joe ledley is a good midfielder but i'm going to make a suggestion, that i never thought i'd make! My opinion is not to look back and in most instances, not bring a former rangers player, back to ibrox! But here's one of my exceptions. Sheffield utd now central midfielder, john fleck is playing out of his skin just now, as a deeper, central midfielder! I've seen him a few times playing this season and he's very strong and dictates the play for them! In certain quarters he's drawn comparisons to scott brown and i can honestly see why! One former teamate of flecks actually said that he would be the long term successor to brown, in the scotland team! He's still only 26 years old but he would probably cost too much, in a transfer fee for us just now. I think he's on a longterm contract with utd! Fleck could be exactly the type of midfielder we're needing at rangers!

10 Oct 2017 06:21:14
Living in Yorkshire myself I’ve kept an eye on his progress for a few years as he’s always popping up on our local sports news, truth is though he has a chance of playing in the financial promised land next year if Utd keep their form up. Agreed though he’s a good player, confident and foreword thinking, he’s had a slow burning career but he’s one of the better prospects in the championship at the moment, If our national team didn’t have a manager with an agenda he’d be surely in the squad

10 Oct 2017 09:29:06
The reality is we wouldn't be able afford the transfer fee for John Fleck now.

10 Oct 2017 09:35:19
If we never wasted 5mil on you's all know who, we could have went for fleck.

11 Oct 2017 22:54:07
Fleck is a must buy. in football manager 2010

09 Oct 2017 16:40:29
hi fellow bears
after yesterday strachan could be out? hmm heres a thing that a lot of fans? want a scots / british manager knows the scottish game has managerial experience in the spl and english leagues too same school as mcleish? what do you reckon bears?

09 Oct 2017 17:09:46
I'm not sure what you're tryi g to get at. Are you suggesting Strachan for the rangers manager position?! If so then I have no idea where to start with the reasons that idea is insane

09 Oct 2017 17:49:24
Strachen rangers manager hahaha are you a mental patient.

09 Oct 2017 18:21:58
mike there are many fans? on here screaming for a scottish / british manager! not mw btw

09 Oct 2017 19:42:28
Tony pulis for rangers manager.

09 Oct 2017 20:22:15
Sam Allardyce for Rangers Manager. Maybe won’t ply the prettiest football but no team of his will meekly lie down to Celtic like Pedro’s have in the last 3 games

09 Oct 2017 21:57:18
Chesney for rangers manager, brian your lucky I'm not asking ed to do a poll between you and supercoop for who has the daftest suggestion for the next rangers manager, chesney or the pleb billy davies. 😉😂

09 Oct 2017 22:16:12
Allardyce has retired

09 Oct 2017 23:38:41
I reckon u should go back to yer bed mate.

10 Oct 2017 08:21:42
colin if you read what i posted "that some fans? " want a manager with his qualifications at no point did i say i wanted him? and as i have said on here many times! there are no decent scottish / british managers around atm and for the scotland job we need to think outside the box totally

10 Oct 2017 08:26:53
MikeGer

Plenty of managers have come out of retirement and managed again. Not saying it would happen however Allardyce would restore some Steel into the side and he wouldn’t tolerate such meek performances against Celtic

10 Oct 2017 08:47:11
You suggested chesney for rangers brian👍

10 Oct 2017 09:32:02
It would take something special for Allardyce to come out of retirement. He tried to sign Dado Prso for Bolton the same time we went in for him and Allardyce criticised Prso for choosing Rangers sating that he clearly lacked ambition. So that tells you what he thinks of Rangers/ SPL football

11 Oct 2017 11:34:10
I remember being in Porto to see Rangers when Bolton were playing Braga up the road and Allardyce was their manager. Our hotel was full of their fans and when we got talking I said I fancied big Sam for Rangers. They all laughed and said have him mate, he's utter shite. Never forgot that.

09 Oct 2017 14:53:56
ref the Scotland situation, although I thought Strachan was ok, for international recognition its time we got a well tried international manager, who can move us onwards and upwards ok will cost big money, but we need to try to guarantee qualification for the next Euros
My money would be on an Italian, a Dutchman or an Englishman.

09 Oct 2017 15:47:41
TBH who would a new Manager bring in different to what we currently have. Heard a few talk about McGinn or McGregor but can’t see them making much of a difference. How we do will be down to how lucky we are in the draw and what pot we will be in.

09 Oct 2017 19:47:29
We were really unlucky not to get to last two finals. Michael oneil for scotland manager.

11 Oct 2017 11:41:40
If we are to replace Pedro, I would like to see Giovanni Van Bronkhorst. Possibly with Michael Mols or Artur Numan.

09 Oct 2017 00:47:37
Not particularly Rangers related but -

Would you give Strachan the boot after that? If so, who do you bring in?

For what its worth, i'd have bagged him before this campaign but now he and McGhee MUST go. Cannot reward failure again. I would bring in Wright or, if we were going to give it a go, Biesla. We need something new, i'd also encourage Fletcher to hang up his boots and join the coaching staff if he want's to stick about.

Hope we can improve and that some Rangers players can get to the standard required.

09 Oct 2017 09:53:49
Let me start by saying gordon strachan is a decent manager, but has to go now! Whatever way you look at it he's failed to qualify for 2 tournaments now! He's been 5 years as scotland manager now, time to freshen it up! I personally would like to see the sfa, think big and out the box here! I would love them to try and get former holland manager guus hiddink, as the next scotland manager! What a statement of intent that would be, if we could get hiddink! At least see if he'd be interested! Thoughts guys?

09 Oct 2017 12:18:04
Hiddink, certainly would be a statement! We do need inspiration or, at least, someone who isn't 'one of the boys'. Gutted that Alex Neil had a hard time at Norwich otherwise i had him pegged as a future Scotland boss - and I hope that still comes to fruition. We have a squad of players that needs turned over and Strachan just isn't that man.

09 Oct 2017 12:51:06
For me it has to be Michael oneil. He has stated he would be interested in the job in the past.

09 Oct 2017 13:01:20
I predicted yesterday that this would be Strachan's last game in charge. He has taken us forward from the dark days of Craig Levien but I think his stubborn streak maybe cost us. And I may get shot down here but for once I agree with Sutton, Griffiths should have been in the team from the start of the campaign.

MacInnes would suit me but if somebody like Hiddinck was actually interested, then Scotland should be interested in talking to him.

09 Oct 2017 15:50:49
Hiddink would be a bold choice but I’m not sure the SFA would be that bold. IF Strachan goes I think it more likely Moyes would get the job. Fits in perfectly with the type the SFA seem to prefer namely Scottish and out of work so no compensation to anyone

09 oct 2017 16:14:26
for me strachan is absalutely mental with his selection.
big rangers fans but what happened to forrest and for me mg#cginn and mcgregor would be much much better than mcarthur who is an absalute joke and fletcher who at this stage of his career is an empty jersey.

for me scotland lost the game in the middle of the park because of strachans favouritisms and the fact he rated cwhen the guy can't even run the length of himself

09 Oct 2017 16:31:46
I would have went to a 3 at the back when we were chasing the game. I would have put forrest and mcgregor on for pace and creativity. I would have pushed robertson and tierny wide and further up. But the clown took tierny off and put anya at right back.

09 Oct 2017 18:16:25
Dropping Forrest was a joke. But even in the game, we came out for the second half about 10-20 yards deeper and with no fight. What on earth did he say at half time?

09 Oct 2017 19:41:30
We also started the game lying far too deep! As far as i'm concerned he should have played his usual 4-5-1 formation! Why did he change it and allow slovenia a lot more space and time in midfield? Strachan on one hand raved about slovenia being a good passing team and then he goes and plays 4 in midfield instead of 5!He shouldn't have started with chris martin imo!

09 Oct 2017 23:48:56
Michael O'Neil or Chris Coleman would both do a good job imo. They would maybe even think out the box when it came to selecting players and not just plump for those in hoops.
