A friend of my dad's who likes a pinch of sodium chloride told him that naismith could sign in January because naismith has told RM he wants to leave if he is not required at Everton and Rangers is where he wants to go? seems weird when Norwich bid for him in the summer? Will Everton want us to pay his full value considering they got him on the cheap?

10 Dec 2015 18:55:11
Boabt78, Everton got him from us for nothing,

11 Dec 2015 08:32:32
There's no way we're getting him just now. Apart from fan base who don't want him and the large wage packet, he was to play for Scotland and won't if he is in championship just now!

11 Dec 2015 10:57:29
I'd rather we signed Charlie Nicholas from sky sports.

11 Dec 2015 11:45:04
its obvious that naismith would do a job for us. but do we need him?

i would trust in the new efforts we have put in place to actually go out and scout new exciting talent and bring them in to develop in to good players for us,

whats the point in scouting if we are just waiting for every ex player who are winding down there carrers to come crawling back and obliterate a sensible wage structure

we have the facilities and management to do this don't you agree?

11 Dec 2015 12:59:22
I agree for the most part with tiny vinyl but he's only 29 I think. I don't think he falls in to he winding down his career boat. He'd be brilliant up here but way out of our range so it's a non starter.

11 Dec 2015 12:06:01
apparently, Alex Neil told this to his cousin (salina?) and naismith might have been in Glasgow yesterday? sir davey could be the one to bring him back.

11 Dec 2015 14:17:45
i see your point there mate

i actually thought he was 31 for some reason

anyway that said. let's get fresh talent in, there's plenty out there and we should have the men in place now to make it work for us.

another quick point. I've been following the loan players and they arre not getting the minutes first expected?

would they be better of being called back to spend time with our squad under the tuition of W&W with the facilities at murray park than warming the benches of teams around the country. then having a pre season that would be in syncwith the current playing style rather than coming back and let be honest being miles behind the other lads?

11 Dec 2015 15:01:39
I've said before Naismith was quality for us and yes I was peed off with the way things went down with the sevco interview but could he do a job for us? Absolutely, but let's have it right. Norwich had a bid of 8 million turned down. Whether it was the player or the club even half of that is out of the question so enough said as far as I'm concerned troops. Also RIP arnie peralta.

12 Dec 2015 17:01:00
half. we could not pay three hundred thousand, let's get real.

12 Dec 2015 17:46:25
Boab, Naismith was in Glasgow to give out charity meals, nothing else.

12 Dec 2015 19:00:00
BOAB

'Sir Davey' was the one who encouraged him to jump ship in the first place -well before sh** hit the fan. Neither of them did us a favour.

12 Dec 2015 23:49:20
Boab78 I was just having a wee look at the site across town, seems somebody else likes sodium chloride, aye, would you believe that, seems he is saying over there that Naismith is going to sign for the East Enders, you wouldn't know anything about that would you?

13 Dec 2015 08:35:24
Personally I would like to see Naismith back at Rangers and while I hear all the comments about cost etc., Naismith might just surprise us. For me that would be a pleasant thought. He is everything that we need in an attacking midfield player and everything that we don't have a t present. He can run at defences, he can track back, he can score goals and he has maturity. He also gives 90 minutes. There is no one like that at Rangers these days.

Yes, Naismith and others faced criticism for leaving but if I am honest, after one season under McCoist I would have been looking to leave as well! Why on earth that guy was ever given the job of manager is beyond me. It certainly wasn't because of his coaching skills!

13 Dec 2015 11:51:32
Major blue that was kind of the point I made without being an idiot about it.

13 Dec 2015 19:57:55
Wouldn't be surprised about Naismith going to them. THEY have a habit of doing these kind of things with signings.

14 Dec 2015 14:46:06
I'd have to agree with that one, if he doesn't go to Norwich then I'm sure he will end up at Celtic. He's already endeared himself to the celadon's with his, 'rangers are dead' nonsense.

Bitterness aside he would be a good signing for us as he is in a different league to anyone we have are are getting linked with. But we can't afford his wages or the transfer fee or any of his nonsense.

14 Dec 2015 23:53:29
Luigi if we couldn't afford his wages then the east enders have no chance of paying his wages fact, they've been downsizing for three seasons.

10 Dec 2015 17:58:52
MW distancing himself from Swansea job and also the sining of Greg Stewart according to Sky sports news.

10 Dec 2015 19:48:31
He would have distanced himself from Stewart as he does not publicly talk about potential signings like how all managers should.

10 Dec 2015 16:49:02
Utter crap in the media about Warburton and Swansea. Avram Grant is to be the new Swansea boss.

10 Dec 2015 03:32:22
James tavernier to leave Rangers in January and sign for Middlesbrough?

10 Dec 2015 13:41:57
Why?
Sorry but it's the only response I could think of to such a stupid suggestion.

10 Dec 2015 13:43:02
Ps. Not having a go at you 78 by the way!

10 Dec 2015 16:09:15
I'm a bit confused to why Tav is being linked to Middlesbrough? Nsue has done pretty well at Right back for them so far why change that?

10 Dec 2015 13:21:43
Cant see it boabt78. tavernier here for champions league football.

10 Dec 2015 13:32:54
Boat 78 I find that hard to believe matey as any fee been mentioned? Plus why would he step down so far he would be looking to forward his career surely.

10 Dec 2015 13:58:10
Seriously doubt it, he has shown a lot going forward but has a lot of work to do to improve his defending, which is poor.

The lad himself has stated he's happy to be getting regular football, can't see him taking risk of moving clubs.

10 Dec 2015 14:48:22
Friend told me last night there is interest from championship teams one of them being Middlesbrough.

11 Dec 2015 00:15:52
A load of nonsense, no one is going anywhere.

{Ed033's Note - Right, you've heard it. No one leaves Rangers until eezyeez says so. :)

10 Dec 2015 01:15:45
Rangers linked with January swoop for Dundee forward Greg Stewart.

10 Dec 2015 09:57:12
Greg stewart would be a very good signing for us, the guy is very skillful with a sweet left peg, his goals return ratio is also pretty decent considering he's not an out and out centre forward.

10 Dec 2015 13:40:49
Would much rather see Windass and Gutkovskis brought in, although Stewart is a very good player.
