Any news on Jon Toral, thought deal would be agreed by now.

10 Jan 2017 20:32:00
He got a flight up tonight, should be finalised tomorrow afternoon.

10 Jan 2017 21:23:07
He returned to arsenal from grenada so i'd imagine only matter of time now

10 Jan 2017 21:24:33
Arrived in glasgow tonight deal should be done tomo

11 Jan 2017 09:47:10
Having medical today and should sign after that. I'd like to see Toral, Hyndman and Bates all play in Sunday's friendly.

10 Jan 2017 15:34:42
Looks like could be good news on Garner, he has a scan tomorrow and there is some movement in his arm/ shoulder already.

10 jan 2017 16:22:50
sorry mate i've been out of touch what exactly happened to him

10 Jan 2017 16:37:06
Are you being serious James? He dislocated his shoulder against the persons .

10 Jan 2017 17:19:47
The persons lol.

12 Jan 2017 12:38:03
lmao I knew he done his shoulder but didn't know that it was dislocated thought it might have been something more serious.

10 Jan 2017 14:48:31
Bates has been signed on a 18month deal.

10 Jan 2017 15:43:21
Ah, the old master

10 Jan 2017 15:56:25
Nice one gram. Took me a wee second!

10 Jan 2017 15:56:35
David bates why?

10 Jan 2017 17:02:28
Because he's still very Young and warburton sees him everyday at Murray park, so he must see something in the boy

10 Jan 2017 17:08:53
Yes, but like the others, will he ever be given a chance to show what he can do in the first team?

10 Jan 2017 17:20:10
Looks to be a big unit and has a bit of presence about him. David Weir must also rate the boy, would like to see him get some game time in the second half of the season.

10 Jan 2017 18:17:48
He sees the rest of the defence everyday in training. I'd love to know what he sees in them

10 Jan 2017 18:26:17
Ive saw him twice albeit at a lesser level but he looked solid! Under the right coaching he could go on to be a decent big player, we can't go wrong with him be on minimal wage so we've nothing to lose

10 Jan 2017 13:52:01
Any news on the kad Jordan Thomson. Does Warburton see him as part of his plans this season or continue to loan out for experience?

11 Jan 2017 10:41:52
Was playing for Raith Rovers against falkirk the other day and was getting pelters on the commentary

11 Jan 2017 11:53:04
I was at the game on Saturday the whole team were poor after 20 mins and JT was relatively quiet, I for one would like to see him get a good run in the first team (no doubting his potential) and has been a good performer for Raith this year, Hardie was also quiet and never offered much don't think MW sees a future for him tbf

10 Jan 2017 13:40:13
Liam Kelly's loan at Livingston has been extended until the end of the season. Either we already have a replacement for Gilks lined up or he will be seeing out the rest of the season with us.

10 Jan 2017 12:12:48
Seems like MOH thought he might be on the way out after speaking to some of his mates at St Johnstone who had heard chat about him coming back but apparently coaching staff at Rangers have confirmed to him that he's staying.

10 Jan 2017 13:34:23
That is one bit of good news! Could we please offload Halliday!

10 Jan 2017 16:10:32
So you would rather have Ohalloran at Rangers than Halliday? Ohalloran brings more to the team does he Mr USA?

10 Jan 2017 18:23:37
Rick I would rather have Celtic players playing with us than Halliday worst player I have ever seen in a rangers jersey that's played in the top league

10 Jan 2017 18:43:44
Do you have Kieran blindness, GANNET10?

10 Jan 2017 19:33:08
Im not a fan of Halliday but that's abit much Gannet as i can think of dozens of players that were worse

10 Jan 2017 19:34:40
Iwdawson?

He is a terrible terrible player but because he is a fan that's ok with some fans.
We need to get rid asap

10 Jan 2017 22:22:29
For a start Rick Witter they both play different positions so no comparison in that respect. Now to the players themselves. If I take off the Blue tinted specs that shows me that any 'Rangers man' must always be in the team and look at reality I see the following. Halliday is not a Holding Midfielder. Halliday is not a defensive midfield player. Halliday is slow. Halliday has two passing styles, sideways and backwards. The vast majority of his passes are short, consequently putting his fellow player in a bad position. He affords little cover to his defence, he does not track back as quickly as he should, he lacks guile, his reading of the game is not what it should be. He was good in the Championship, he continues to live on one game against Celtic last season that we won, (possibly the worst result possible in reality since it give us and by the looks of it, too many people at Rangers, an inflated opinion of the team's ability to compete in the Premiership.

I believe O'Halloran deserves more game time before a decision is made as to whether he is good enough, I have the same view of Crooks. I have seen enough of Halliday to form the opinion that he is not good enough to take us forward.

10 Jan 2017 23:48:50
He's not a holding midfielder, I think we all know that. he's done a decent enough job overall though but I think he should have had a spell on the bench because hasn't been performing the last couple of months regardless of the fact he isn't playing in his proper position there's no excuse in my opinion for some poor performances but he's not a bad player. Michael ohalloran however just never shows enough, runs into dead ends too often and technically poor and is easily marked out of games. As for the team not competing in the premier league, what are you talking about? It doesn't matter how poor Scottish football is at the moment which it is, it's just the way it is but we're more than capable of holding our own in that league, it's just going to take longer to start competing with Celtic again Mr USA.

10 Jan 2017 11:39:09
A move to Stoke seems to be on the horizon for Berahino. Ali Crawford being spoken to about a pre-contract but very much early days. Toral still expected to move. Warburton still in the market for a striker and a goalkeeper if Gilks goes. Expect no business outside of these positions unless someone much better than what we have before available.

10 Jan 2017 10:07:54
Not that I ever thought it would happen anyways just thought I would post that Sky sports have announced that Stoke City have submitted a bid for Berahino.

10 Jan 2017 11:08:54
How does that work isn't he able to talk to clubs now away are rangers able to talk to him some figures going about rangers would get him for about 500.000, stoke have bid around less than 20 million how does pre-contract work

10 Jan 2017 11:10:09
That doesn't mean that he would go to them. The guy would be crazy to give up a serious share of any future sale by a non English club that got him 'on the cheap' to go to Stoke City!

10 Jan 2017 11:13:33
Seen this as well, I never thought it would happen either tbh. stoke though, I mean it's hardly an ambitious move on the players part, stoke will never win the league, they might sneak a europa league place 1 year out of 10 and they will never win the FA cup or EFL cup. we might get a europa league place this year but we should at least always be in the mix for a European place, not this season granted but we should be challenging for the league title and should have decent cup runs

10 Jan 2017 11:36:36
How is stoke not a better move than Rangers? We will struggle to get Europa League group stages whilst they are comfortably in the EPL. If he performs against the big clubs he will have a better chance of moving to them than he would if he performed against Hearts and St Johnstone. The reason Demebele is still being linked with big moves is because Champions League and Internation U21 performances. We can't offer that.

10 Jan 2017 12:40:43
If we could have landed him for the 500k much like C****c did with Dembele then the only stumbling block I could see would be his wages and his desire to accept that this would probably benefit his career more than it would if he moves to stoke. Bottom line the guy has a Sulky bad attitude which was evident at his protests outside Spurs HQ on deadline day do we really want another fiasco like this? If we were to sell ourselves to him it would be - 500k which would put WBA out of pocket which might get him excited and our reluctance to hold onto him if a bid did arise in the future due to our current predicament.

10 Jan 2017 13:39:29
I would have said that a move to a Non English Club would be a better move for him than a move to Stoke, (whether that was rangers or someone else) . He would go for £500,000 and could negotiate a signing on fee and a share of any future Sale Proceeds.

It would also be a better deal for his Agent!

If he signs for Stoke for say, £15m, then he will get 10% of the signing on fee. He could negotiate a deal with Rangers or anyone else outside of the English Leagues for a lot more!

If cash is important to him then that is a better deal than Stoke. If football is important then Stoke is equally illogical!

10 Jan 2017 14:59:30
Let's be realistic
There's no chance on earth berahino would sign for us.
We are in the market for loan players, for the simple reason we don't have the money.
So for anyone thinking there's a 1% chance he will sign for us is deluded.
