Guys I told you last week rangers were set for a 15M transfer budget my 4th time correct before the press got it.

10 May 2019 21:18:51
Haven’t actually read anywhere about that size of budget mate. Where’s it saying that?

11 May 2019 00:54:28
Fantasy.

11 May 2019 02:46:59
I think Close brothers have issued a statement, saying they have very reasonable loan deals, just within, or thereabouts government guidelines, and they are happy to fund The rangers transfer activity, and then there is the usual small print and disclaimers about paying the installments back on time, unless you want to forfeit something or the other, anyway I wouldn't worry if you supported The rangers, I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

11 May 2019 10:27:13
When were the other three times you were right? I don't recall anything you have said actually happening.

11 May 2019 12:18:13
Still paying back the Co-op loan Aidan, businesses need both long and short term finance all the time to free up cashflow, it would be nice if everyone just stood still and didn’t try to grow however, wouldn’t it?

11 May 2019 14:21:32
I’d imagine Alfredo Morales leaving and the fee received will have a huge bearing on transfer budget. Remember just because players signed on bosmans have no transfer fee to pay doesn’t mean there’s no signing on fee.

I’d imagine the budget will be around the £10m mark with Alfredo staying with him leaving for day £15m then I’d say our budget would increase to £15m overall.
I think there’s £15m set aside for fees and wages from season ticket money so if we don’t sell anyone or make group stages that’s our limit.

Getting to group stages and selling Alfredo would give the club that money back but don’t expect us to sell Alfredo and all the fee to be reinvested in playing squad in addition to season ticket money.
I’m just excited we are progressing each window under Gerrard and look forward to another 2-3 big players being added hopefully to our squad.

11 May 2019 17:06:49
Glasgowranger It never occurred to me until recently how costly some free transfers can be. I think because there's no transfer fee the players/ agents often demand massive signing on fees so the club still forks out a sizeable sum.

10 May 2019 15:28:19
Not a real rumour, I have no sources, but read we may be interested in Axel Tuanzebe (sp) . My step-brother, who knows nothing about football, how could he, he supports Man U. Anyway he rates the lad very highly. He missed half of last season with a broken foot but on his comeback he played every week on loan to Aston Villa. Very mobile and fast good awareness and passing range. I watch Hull and Aston Villa on Tv and the lad impressed me.

10 May 2019 17:40:20
There is ABSOLUTELY no chance of that mate, he is going back to Utd to be involved next year and that's from the mouth of Ole on MUTV.

10 May 2019 21:45:10
Your step brother knows nothing about football buts rated him highly? So why would you listen to him then.

10 May 2019 13:34:29
Heard a rumour today that we are looking at Huddersfield left back Erik durm (formerly borrusia Dortmund) out of contract in the summer although Huddersfield have the option to extend by another year good signing if true.

10 May 2019 13:26:26
Marseille possibly in for Morelos 16M.

10 May 2019 13:39:28
No chance anybody will pay more than £8m for him.

10 May 2019 14:47:16
Well if they aren’t going to pay the asking price which is circa15-20 depending on who you believe then we will just keep him and he can score another 30 next season.

10 May 2019 15:21:41
What do you all think of!6m? I think he's worth 20m but what do I know, Must be tempting if that offer is true.

10 May 2019 16:37:36
I wouldn't sniff at £16m, I'd probably even go for £16m if it included 10%-20% of the profit they make on him when sold.

10 May 2019 17:33:02
£16m take the money and run.

10 May 2019 18:08:08
Also we only own 90per cent
Of the buffalo
But we should still have add ons.

10 May 2019 18:35:40
Yeah, 10% owed to HJK Helsinki when we sell him. Still a great return for a £1m buy and the goals he’s scored. Time to sell and reinvest some of the revenue generated.

10 May 2019 21:20:17
Would bite your hand of for that. Talented player but be surprised if anyone would pay that with his temper.

11 May 2019 00:52:07
Celtic put a 15mill price tag on Rogic who isn't even a guaranteed starter in their team. So 16 mill for morelos is realistic.

11 May 2019 11:02:43
Macbow we own Morelos 100% if we sell him, his last club get 10% of the profit.
That does not mean they still own part of him.

10 May 2019 12:05:51
Jagielka is a name being bandied about now concerning Rangers, he’s 36 now. Any views on this subject, Coop, Coldo etc?

10 May 2019 12:53:39
Weird one for me Ulster. Got a whiff of the Gareth McCauleys about it. Undoubtedly a top top defender in his day but I’d rather have Katic than him.

10 May 2019 12:55:30
I thought he'd go to sheffield utd ulsterman👍.

10 May 2019 13:16:13
Ulsterman never mind their view what's your view mate?

10 May 2019 13:45:29
Whats your view LM17🤔👍.

10 May 2019 14:08:58
Personally would rather we went for a much younger centre half like millwall's jake cooper. that's only my opinion though mate.

10 May 2019 14:44:26
Cover for Katic/ Goldson so it make make sense for experience rather than a young gun who will spend a lot of time on the bench.

10 May 2019 14:53:46
He’s 3 years younger than Macauley and we need 4 centre halves, so I’ve no issue with him being one of them on a free transfer. If we got Souttar from Hearts too or some other young-ish centre half, plus Goldson and Katic that’s an upgrade on this season’s 4 in my book.

10 May 2019 14:54:32
K17 MAC
I think he’s too old, I’d prefer a younger guy as back up to Katic, but I’m only a bit player when it comes to watching Rangers now from what I used to be, so in my view it’s only fair that you guys get the bigger say, My brother and I used to go over all the time, we went to Barcelona for that final when we where youngsters, a Scot called John Semple actually saved my young brothers life at the Ibrox disaster, pulled him out of the crowd, will never forget the guy. Sorry for the tale lads I hope you weren’t bored?

10 May 2019 15:45:44
Certainly weren’t bored Ulsterman! Hope your brother is still in fine health.

As for the CHs, I would like to see another player in their early 20s (Cooper) and an older, experienced player like Jagielka. Left back is in need of attention too.

First post, so take it easy on me 😉🤝.

10 May 2019 16:51:33
Souter? Was no-one watching his last 3 or 4 games on tv.
Definately one to give a miss!

10 May 2019 17:48:47
He is an experienced campaigner and a leader in the dressing room and would be a great influence around the HTC like Gareth McAuley has been for this group and SG has praised him for his influence off the field its not always what these ageing players do on the field. I do have slight concerns over his injury record of late thou, his age is not a concern to me Weir and Hill strolled this league until they were 39/ 40. The boy Cooper from Millwall is probably worth with prices down south £8 Million. The starting price might be £4 million but he would likely cost £8 million or close to it if a bidding war begins. The young boy James at Swansea for instance, Swansea finished 10th, he got 4 goals, 7 assists and has 2 Welsh Caps is being touted for 15 Million MINIMUM. I'm sure SG knows what he is doing.

10 May 2019 18:37:49
Could be worth it as cover but don’t want to be paying big wages for a bench warmer. I’d like to see us bringing in a younger, long term prospect and/ or promoting from within the candidate.

11 May 2019 00:53:09
We are going to be linked with every single player Gerrard has breathed near during his career because its good stories for the newspapers.

11 May 2019 02:38:23
Stop talking bout jake cooper! he's never comin to us, the laddy is premiership class 😕.

11 May 2019 02:39:19
Im pretty danmn sure jake cooper knows what he's doing too - interest from rangers sign a new deal BANG al get a premiership club.

14 May 2019 00:20:19
Rick Witter, why would you say so definitely that no one would pay more than 8 million for Alfredo, do you set the money paid by opposition teams, no, so just hold onto your tongue, let Gerrard and Allen do there jobs and keep supporting with your money, that's what supporters do, not just fans, supporters, support financially, Namaste.

09 May 2019 21:42:34
Hey ed is there any news that you know of regarding Ryan kent if he's going to sign for us.

{Ed001's Note - no idea sorry.}

10 May 2019 08:12:37
In my opinion, like any sensible player, he speaks good things of rangers because that's what the fans want to hear. Maybe he will stay, maybe he won't, but by not saying something like Worrall would say, he keeps the fans happy.

10 May 2019 09:18:33
I might be a bit biased here but the way I look it is he knows that he has very little chance of getting in the liverpool team or any of the top 6 sides in the eng prem therefore he could go to a middle of the road eng prem team, win nothing, play for nothing but earn mega money or he could come to us and compete for titles, play in europe and play infront of 50k with atmosphere's like the old firm and midweek euro nights. Surely that wins? If kent wants to play for us then surely gerrards status at liverpool could make it happen. He'd be a class signing, top player in our league and will keep getting better and better👍.

10 May 2019 10:24:46
Agreed Coldo, I actually think he will stay but I don’t know if it will be a permanent deal. Even if he comes back on loan, as you say win trophies, potential CL if we win the league.
Even Ryan Kent must know that another season or two with us could really propel his career, possibly to a top 6 club in the EPL if he and Rangers perform.

10 May 2019 10:42:19
I agree with you also. He just needs to look at van dyke etc as inspiration. Sometimes you need to step back to move forward.

10 May 2019 13:22:23
I think he will sign for a promoted team from the Championship personally. IF you look at his stats 5/ 6 assists and goals in 35+ appearances for a team playing on the front foot most weeks I don't think you can justify anything NORTH of £3 Million pounds. Another years loan deal would be ideal IMO, in saying that I understand the calls he will improve next year and will have a greater resale value but next year he is no longer unknown to defences and they will have a better idea of how to play him or snub him out. I would love him at the right price but prices in football are ridiculous and we cannot take a financial gamble in hoping he improves his second season. Just my opinion thou.

10 May 2019 13:59:43
unless someone is a rangers diehard the reality is that they will ofcourse go where the money is. same in any walk of life. if you think otherwise you are wrong.

sure playing in europe is an attraction but it isn't the be all and end all i'm afraid.

10 May 2019 14:10:41
Totally agree with you coldo, can't argue with any of that!

10 May 2019 16:54:40
I think, he will sign on the proviso, when SG moves on to bigger things in England in a few years, with a few years further experience he goes with him.
