Could mean that they waiting to see what is happening with with O’Neill in n Ireland’s World Cup campaign. Hopefully I’m proved wrong on this if it happens but not convinced on Coleman and O’Neill. Yes they done well at international level but club football is different and their records at club level ain’t exactly great!

Steve McClaren has sent his CV to Rangers.
So, Rangers haven't made any contact with him, it's the other way about.
Like I said a few days ago on here, Rangers haven't made contact with any manager yet and are comfortable with Murty looking after the team for a while, until the board have thought the candidates through.
There will be hundreds of people applying for this job, despite what the rest of Scottish football will try to to tell you, it's still a massive job, Hearts got about one hundred applicants fs and they are tinpot.

First time I've ever contributed with a rumour . but I met a guy before the Hearts game at Murrayfield who has connections in the game and who is related to one of the Hearts team (and also a Stoke player) . He told me that McLaren had contacted Rangers to say he was interested in the job.
This was before it was in the press or on here.

I thought originally and was told that our new manager would be in place, before we played hamilton at ibrox a week on saturday! Now i'm not so sure! I have a sneaking feeling that graeme murty will still be caretaker manager, for our game against hamilton! This is what makes me think, that contrary to media reports, derek mcinnes ISN'T the 1st choice here! If it was that straight forward he would have been offered the job by now, imo. I think there will be at least 1 candidate on this compiled shortlist, of mark allen's, who'll be an element of surprise to us all!

Seriously hope Gio van Bronckhorst gets it. Would have the players respect for his playing achievements, knows the Club, what's expected of Rangers teams, has done very well in Eredivisie so far and looks to have learned from the excellent managers he played under.

Van Bronkhorst has the 3rd biggest budget in Holland. He has players in his squad worth tens of millions. He is managing in the Champion's League this year. He spent £25m in the summer and currently sits 6th in the Erdivisie. I doubt Rangers are going to buy him out his bumper contract which has two years to run. Just stating facts. McInnes is ideal for us because he will happily earn any future transfer kitty money by gaining the board's trust over time. In his immediate tenure he would look to make more low budget, but effective signings to mould a competitive team rather than look to make markee signings. He is the perfect fit.

Hearing from a usually reliable source of mine that's dad is friendly with ex director john gilligan, that the names that our DOF, mark allen has shortlisted and given to our directors are as follows, derek mcinnes,
alex neil, frank de boer, mikel arteta and patrick vieira! Only passing on some info fellow bears! Gio was originally on the list but was then taken off for whatever reason! Graeme murty is also under consideration! The new manager should be in place for our game against hamilton, at ibrox, saturday week!
