Odds on Jermain Defoe joining Gerrard have been slashed today.

11 May 2018 20:04:46
anyone know the latest on shagger?

i’d take him back and here we go hand grenade time.

i’d go get lafferty.

i’ve watched the lad closely this season he’s goals work rare and quKity of some of his finnishing has been very good the lads clearly matured as a footballer and a person

i’d say he’s worth a punt

11 May 2018 20:35:18
Agreed lafferty has impressed me as well put himself about the last 2 games

11 May 2018 20:43:56
Trev, Hi. I agree to a point as I was watching Naismith and Laferty during the Hibs game n was wondering if we had them instead of Morelos and Windass where would we be now. Well we will never know. The only sure thing is these guys are not getting any younger and will not improve. For this season they MAY have given us something but for next season we need a level much higher and for longer. ATB

11 May 2018 21:35:21
I will be honest I thought I would have took Naismith well before Lafferty but for me Lafferty has had a good season, he’s scored in 3 games V Celtic in derbys and Hearts are quite a defensive team.
If we had him instead of Miller and Herrara I would be happy to have him in squad, he ticks all the boxes for me.

11 May 2018 21:35:34
I don't think we'll get any confirmations on the signings until Gerrard takes over officially on June 1st. Even if deals are done before then I reckon the club will hold the news back so that the new boss is the one doing the unveiling.

12 May 2018 06:54:05
Lafferty would be a no brainer for me

12 May 2018 07:03:19
No rats thank you.

12 May 2018 09:11:00
Would rather sign Cummings and If I was picking between the other 2 I would go for Naismith he can play attacking mid or as a striker plus he has a better attitude

12 May 2018 10:02:55
Yup, we missed a trick not signing lafferty, he would have given us something very different up top

12 May 2018 12:50:11
Big Kyle can also play the flute, so he Definitely ticks all the requirements.
Not sure if Stevie G would appreciate a rendition of the sash though?

12 May 2018 14:50:48
Daviegers, so basically a whole team then, except goalkeepers?

12 May 2018 15:03:27
don’t think any of the gers on here mentioned that timmy

dont give up the day job pal yer patter is utter colin nish

imagine spending time obsessing about your rivals . ooft

still the only show in town

12 May 2018 15:24:37
Utter Colin Nish which is hilarious because he was pish remember him at Killie with Danny Invincible haha

11 May 2018 17:31:06
Did arfield sign a pre contract agreement.

11 May 2018 18:38:18
Arfield signed four year deal

11 May 2018 19:30:32
Arfield hasn't signed yet he can't until he runs his present contract down

11 May 2018 20:04:57
Yeah he signed a pre-contract which will start once his present deal with Burnley expires.

11 May 2018 22:02:45
pre contract apparently but past experience let's wait till pre season training we remember wee mo with a hoops scarf.

11 May 2018 11:32:05
Just back in Glasgow and can confirm, big investment is still coming, Stevie g will have a budget, keep believing my loyal friends.

11 May 2018 13:12:50
Mark Guidi mentioned it again the other night! I know he tends to get most things wrong, he has been persistent in his belief that investment is coming! Fingers crossed he is right for once!

11 May 2018 13:38:59
Stevie would not be taking job without financial assurances

it is that simple

11 May 2018 15:43:40
There is far too many people talking about this for there not to be some truth in the rumours . At ibrox last week it was big news same as the press . Former players in the corporate lounge even saying it was true . I believe it will come .

11 May 2018 16:45:01
Loyalist who are you to confirm investment is coming? You know nothing. King made it clear that Rangers are not talking to any external investor. He claims he turned down investment from China and I think he is closer to the Ibrox board than you are.

11 May 2018 16:50:09
Good luck with the investments pmsfl

11 May 2018 17:11:25
Hey hibsboy. How do you think you’ll get on next season when all your best players will be away and the manager throws a temper tantrum and leaves? Lennon this week has been far funnier than anything that’s going on at rangers.

11 May 2018 17:55:18
It was like an angry orange 🍊 Lennon laughing stock of the game

11 May 2018 18:06:35
Hibsed it again, nightmare 🤣🤣🤣

11 May 2018 18:13:20
You know hee haw loyalist

11 May 2018 18:59:12
Well done on finishing fourth hibsboy, great achievement for the small club in Edinburgh, glad the natural order was restored, now to restore the natural order in Glasgow.

11 May 2018 19:04:10
Oooo my sides lennons a laughing stock yEs mcgeouch leaving is a big lose as will McGinn if he goes but with the £3-5m we get I'm sure we will bring in some more talent as for Lennon he will be at ER next season to keep us up there especially with European football on the cards.
Maybe further down the line you will sign some more of our cast offs like Cummings, as I've said good luck with your investment but I wonder who will invest in a club that has about £40m debt but I'm sure Gerrard will sort the team out with £10m good luck lol

11 May 2018 20:16:20
Hibsboy trust me, your new manager next season will be stuart mccall!
Lennon is off!

11 May 2018 20:51:25
Stuart McCall too big a name for a diddy team like Hibs supercooper. Probably be someone along the lines of Paul Hartley or Jim McIntyre

11 May 2018 22:31:49
Hibsboy. our castoffs? How about Whittaker and darren McGregor? Dry your eyes son. Yous are 4th and you know it 😂

11 May 2018 22:45:23
Really hope it is not McCall as I like the wee guy and wouldn't wish that on anyone.

11 May 2018 23:40:25
The fact you claim Cummings was a cast off and that we're in 40 mil debt when it was 9 million debt that put us in admin shows how clueless you really are

12 May 2018 00:28:51
Pmsfl McColl. Diddy team a diddy team that you've only managed to beat 1ns this season Lennon will be back and at least we have some money to spend and when our big cousins get us into Europe there's more to come any way worry about your own team a rooky manager with little money Celtic domineering you now and for at least another 3-4 seasons a major debt little investment in your short history I think you should look at your own club
Scotland's shame the rangers football club 2012

12 May 2018 07:21:49
Your big cousins? Oh dear what an embarrassment😂😂

12 May 2018 08:25:05
Your correct hibsbhoy! They are your big cousins ie. septic/ hivees together hand in hand! Git it round you, ya muppet!

12 May 2018 09:11:01
hibsboy are you timalloy's booty call?

12 May 2018 12:41:22
Lol is that the best you can come back with good luck tomorrow let's see if you can at least try and beat us twice in a season your teams the laughing stock mate and another head to sit on Brendan's shelf and in Celtics shadow again anyway on ward and upward mighty hibs in Europe good luck with your investments and your new signings if you can afford them GGTTH

11 May 2018 13:05:48
Aye ok mate.

12 May 2018 14:57:07
Hibsbhoy! Concentrate on your own manager, popcorn teeth! We've got the class act in the world famous STEVEN GERRARD, my friend! that's what's sticking in a lot of throats within the scottish game, ie media other clubs manager's and of course other clubs supporters! They all hoped and thought stevie g would turn the rangers job down! STEVEN GERRARD GLOBAL NAME, NOW THE MANAGER OF GLOBAL WORLD RECORD HOLDERS, THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FOOTBALL CLUB ON THE PLANET, THE FAMOUS, MOST GLORIOUS GLASGOW RANGERS! Digest that Hibsbhoy ya nunggy!

12 May 2018 19:22:46
World famous. Steven Gerrard oo now I've heard everything loved the banter guys but really your team are struggling with debt and that may stop investors as for hibs see you up there next season if you make it another fight for 2nd place cause you won't make 1st for the next 5 years cheers guys lol

12 May 2018 20:46:59
To all those who mock my post concerning investment, saying I know hee hah etc etc, I say one thing time will tell, johhnymac55 I never claimed to be on the board or closer to the board than king, however I think if you check it out king has been making ridiculous statements for the last couple of years, his latest about a pack of cards, my statement is simple, funding is coming, when I does I will expect apologies from my fellow bears who have stopped believing, if it doesn't come I will come of the site and trouble you all no more, ps a lot of tools on here, sadly some are fellow supporters.

11 May 2018 09:53:50
Pena gone missing?

11 May 2018 12:52:41
Mum died, he has been in hospital with her.

11 May 2018 15:59:35
I was going to say good till I heard his mother had passes away hopefully he will stay in Mexico for a while to grieve two million unbelievable

11 May 2018 16:59:08
Pena went missing yrs ago . pops his head up now and again.

11 May 2018 22:48:26
Hope he's doing well. I feel for him. To lose your mother is a really terrible experience. I lost my mum when she was in her fifties and I still haven't got over it.

12 May 2018 09:17:08
Pena has his troubles and is a complete twit if we can’t sell him sack him for disrespecting the club with blowing his nose on shorts but I wouldn’t wish any badness on him

12 May 2018 09:37:26
agree seeker to lose anyone is heartbreaking and to have many personal problems as well, how difficult life can be . i do think there was a player in carlos pena as did many of his ex managers and coaches. how sad it is turning out this way for him.

11 May 2018 08:57:51
Hearing there is a strong possibility that SG is going for John McGinn. Personally i would love to see him at Ibrox regardless of his Celtic connections.
Anyone any news on if this is true or no?

11 May 2018 12:51:14
I wouldn't waste £5m on him, that's a big chunk of our transfer budget

11 May 2018 13:08:21
£3m tops

11 May 2018 13:23:18
Hibs won't sell to us.

11 May 2018 15:07:36
Lennons hand has been dealt. He will be sold. that's why dummies are still getting picked up at TyneCastle. He knows whole team will be dismantled.

11 May 2018 16:52:44
Rangers don't have the money to buy mcginn wether £3-5m and they won't take instalments so think that's ambitious thinking .

11 May 2018 17:33:48
@Hibsbhoy you seem to think installments aren't standard practice. I doubt he'll go to Rangers but whoever he goes to will be paying you in instalments

11 May 2018 18:40:59
McGinn may go to rangers, talking to good hubs fan who says if he does not get move to where he wants, he will run down contract go for development fee

11 May 2018 21:26:09
Hey guys, av got a big cousin who works as an assistant to the board at hibs and overheard them talking aboit the future of certain players.
They are wiling to let join mcginn go for 3.5 million if they get hom loaned back for the season and will except 4-5 million no problem without the loan spell of course.

Whats your opinions on that?

11 May 2018 21:43:45
The boy plays for Hibs and has 1 year left on his contract. I think he’s a good player but with Docherty, McCrorie, Jack, Arfield and Dorrans in there already not to mention Windass, Pena, Holt, Halliday, Forrester and Rossiter its not a good value move at the figures being quoted.
I think he’s worth £2-3m with a normal contract but closer to £1-1.5m in current status.
If English clubs are prepared to pay upwards of £3m it’s not worth it at those figures, if that’s media hype and we get him for no more than £2m i'd be happy with that.
With HIVs unlikely to sell to us, Wee angry Ginge definitely not wanting to, McGinn a Tim and likely interest at £3m from Championship clubs I can’t see it happening

12 May 2018 12:33:21
He’ll go to Celtic for less than what we offer as per Scott Allan!

12 May 2018 15:11:45
McGinn will never play for Rangers and it shouldn't even be up for debate. He's not interested, we shouldn't be interested and anyway he wouldn't improve our team. He'd be another O'Halloran, taking a wage from an employer he despises while doing nothing to earn it.

11 May 2018 10:59:51
Wow 3 million for Josh Windass. What rubbish. It was only 5 months ago that Preston valued him at 500 grand. I don't know what games Cardiff have been watching but if it's the same ones as me we would be lucky to get 250 grand now. He's got worse not better.

11 May 2018 12:32:40
Well let's hope no one fom cardiff reads this site because if it was up too most on here they would give him away free we as supporters should be singing his praises and get tho most out of him and the most for him!

11 May 2018 12:48:34
17 Goals and 11 Assists. Get off his back. he's had a terrific season since pedro left. Goes missing in some games but is a big player for us.

11 May 2018 15:08:49
He is the worst rangers player I have seen in many a year. Some will point out his stats but this is more a reflection on how poor the league is. I would take £500k for him. As many have said before no where near the player his father was

11 May 2018 17:28:57
MOLS are you for real?

17 goals and 11 assists but you think he’s only rated because the league is crap?

Perhaps you’d care to name the other players in tne league with 17 goals and 11 assists that you DO rate?

FFS some supporters on here!

11 May 2018 19:08:58
I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years and supporting them for 40 years and he is one of the worst players I’ve seen at Rangers. Only Ricky Foster has been worse in recent years. Since he signed his contract this year he has contributed nothing. I don’t deny the guy has ability and at a push potential but he has no heart and winning mentality and hides in the important games and this is why he will never cut it.

If he is the standard of player we aspire to then we are in for much more pain. If he is the match winner against Celtic in two of four games next year I will come back on and admit I was totally wrong

11 May 2018 21:51:56
Listen there’s many parts of his game that can be improved especially effort and desire but regardless of whether your his biggest fan or otherwise he’s far from the worst player in our squad, so how you can justify saying he’s worst in 40 years or since Foster is just stupid.

17 goals in poor side is why CARDIFF et al are prepared to pay £3m (apparently) Iv posted on here many times saying I would accept £2m plus as I’d rather have Arfield in hole with Dorrans as back up or play a 4-4-2 so I’m not saying he’s irreplaceable but have a word with yourself Mols mate lol

12 May 2018 09:58:08
Dont know how any of you can defend windass, there is no way he is rangers class, he has the odd great game, followed by about 4 rotten games. He thinks he's better than he is and his attitude and desire is not good enough. he's had long enough do prove himself and i will be very surprised if he's not sold in the summer

12 May 2018 11:13:56
The Glasgow Ranger

I have not said he is the worst Rangers Player in 40 years I said he is one of the worst. In the end it is my opinion whether you agree with it or not. Do you watch him for a full game every week like I do. While he is Rangers player he will get my support but I believe he has had enough time and he will let us down many more times than he will make a difference. Also the players that are worse than him in our squad don’t get close to the team (Herrera, Dalcio, Dodoo) so for me don’t count. In the end my opinion does not matter and Windass delivering when it matters like tomorrow is what counts

11 May 2018 13:30:23
@DL - a great return for a player who supposedly goes missing and is playing in the worst Rangers team ever according to some.
Just think what he might achieve with a decent manager and stability in the coaching staff.
P.S. I would still take the £3 million!

12 May 2018 13:25:18
I'm Windass' biggest critic but in his defence I can't remember Windass senior being a great player in his early twenties. Josh still has time to develop. Certainly still not a starting eleven player every week but food squad player with plenty of promise. Maybe SG can turn him into that player we all know he can be.

12 May 2018 13:56:35
I disagree with you there zikos, I'm his biggest critic.

11 May 2018 10:55:58
Apparently the BBC are complaining to the SFA / SPL about not being able to interview Gerrard before and after games. Maybe the impasse will be resolved.

11 May 2018 11:35:34
It's about time this issue was resolved

11 May 2018 12:11:44
Maybe if the BBC were more honest in their media coverage of rangers then the club would be a bit more approachable

11 May 2018 12:15:20
Good. glad they are squirming. couldn't wait to stick the knife in not to mention the utter lies they spouted too.

11 May 2018 12:31:38
Ha ha, comedy gold! Hope the club Don't relent. Wee Golum would be standing outside the main stand, mike in hand, trying to peer in through the frosted glass. Hell mend them!

11 May 2018 12:33:50
Boo hoo! Bbc

11 May 2018 13:25:07
We banned McLaughlin. They boycotted us. It's not us who deny them anything - they refuse to deal with anything to do with us as a result. So I'm not entirely sure they went to anyone to complain? They can interview Stevie G if they want?

11 May 2018 15:45:51
Time to make some cash if they want access to talk to Gerard. Get there cheque book out. Time is money .

11 May 2018 18:18:57
The BBC brought it on themselves. SG won’t speak to the **** either are they going to moan about that!

11 May 2018 13:32:12
Funny how they weren’t that bothered about Pedro or Murty.
But now we have a big name they are creaming there pants to get involved.
