Hearing whispers that a number of big announcements due out of Ibrox Monday and Tuesday this week, possibly including the big tax case verdict. There will also be a statement by Charles Green on signing policy, and news on the futures of a number of players including Goian, Wallace, Alexander, Bocanegra and Broadfoot who'll publicly commit or announce their intention to leave.
Some ex celtic players were saying the old firm games would not be the same because its a new rangers.If two people are rivals and one changes his name to something else does the other person forget about the rivalry don't think so and if that is the common thought among celtic fans why the need to comment on evrything rangers do

Membership of the SPLRule A4 of the SPL Rules states:-“The owner and operator of a Club participating in the League shall become a member of the Company by acquiring one Ordinary Share therein at par for cash, such Ordinary Share to be acquired, through the Secretary, in accordance with the provisions of the Articles of Association. The owner and operator of a Club ceasing to be entitled to play in the League shall cease to be a member of the Company and shall relinquish its Ordinary Share at the end of the relevant Season in accordance with the Articles of Association.”
It would appear that owner and club are two different entitys and its the owner that holds the share explains why rangers needed a vote

What Rangers are doing is unprecedented.....no business that has been liquidated has had to pay the debts off........let this be a stark reminder to the hooped ones that Rangers the CLUB are still alive and very much kicking, it was the HOLDING COMPANY that went bust. Odd how no matter how many people and organisations repeat this, the bhitter ones cannot accept it lol
What makes you think UEFA and FIFA will be interested in a liquidated business not paying a debt.....liquidated companies DONT PAY THE DEBTS, thats the whole point of liquidation numb-nuts!!!

Lee Wallace will hand in transfer request after realising he will unlikely play for Scotland again until Rangers are in the SPL, so his hopes of playing in the World Cup are in tatters as there is no way he will be picked as long as Rangers are in the 3rd div playing against muppet teams.

To the above mention of schools. typically stupid remark. I went to one of the schools i presume you mean. Loved it and gained a level of education which has served me well. It certainly imbued in me a level of discernment which enabled me to instantly recognise what Craig whyte was. It also gave me a sense of humour which has been served a sumptious feast by your good selves these last months. Theres a good piece in the guardian today mentioning damian hirsts union flag last night and how wonderful it is that the flag has been ripped from the hands of the far right. A lesson there for you.

Simples. As complete newco they wont get into europe without 3 years accounts, as phoenix oldco they can repair fences by paying foreign football debts.

To poster 3, I shall correct you, Rangers = same club, different holding company, don't worry it ain't your fault I blame the schools.
My understanding is that if the big tax case goes against Rangers Oldco HMRC will persue the perpetrators individually including all parties who were part of EBT's and all players who had side letters ( 53 ) according to the written evidence submitted by the BBC ....... Newco may be exempt from liability but not so those affiliated to Oldco who are found guilty of evasion if this indeed is their finding ....... !!!
Your an clown mate. If we lose the first tier tax case it almost guarantee's we will be hung out to dry over the dual contract cases. The SFA are probably waiting for this decision so they know they will have grounds to sting us for the other side of it. An EBT is in essence (in the eyes of the football authorities) an undeclared payment to a player. SO YES this does concern Rangers and i hope the OP is wrong in suggesting we have lost the case. Also when will people come to understand that we took on OLDCO's registration? If we hadn't we would not have been accepted into Division 3 as there are other clubs who have been waiting for years to gain theyre place. Spartans, Cove Rangers etc. In accepting the oldco registration we have to accept what comes with that, punishments owed to oldco. Paying off all football debts (although being made to pay debts to foreign clubs has never been pursued before) that one's just for us. But the dual contract investigation falls into this category so we could face punishments of points deductions etc if they are found to be true.
So your heads are in the sand if you arent concerned about this. I for one am worried.
Whatever happens we should just accept it with dignity and let this be the end of this nightmare and start the new chapter in our great history. Long road back to the top WATP
Big tax case is not an issue any more as far as the football is concerned - that went with the liquidated version of the club.
Time to block out all this stuff and keep the focus on the football now we are back on the pitch.
Few things to sort out including in my opinion a couple of experienced defenders who will not shirk the challenge like a few of the disgraces yesterday who will hopefully be on their way as we dont need their attitude.
A guilty verdict jst means the hmrc get more of the creditors pot. And not guilty jst shuts the tims up.
The reason the old co was liquidated was so hmrc can pursue indivdiuals for tax rather than the club they said so in their own statement sayin the club wood be free from any penalties as a result of liquidation

The big tax case result has still to be announced though even though it is under the old company it is still possible for some of the penalties to be passed on to the newco though as old company has yet to be formally liquidated it is all complicated i just wish it was sorted before now but it seems there is still a long way to go in this case

My understanding is that SDM recieves the verdict of the big tax case one week before it's made public ... was just wondering if his head appearing above the parapet last week after almost disapearing of the face of the earth is in any way indicating that the long awaited verdict is indeed in ........... ?
