Rangers set to reject McCoist resignation apparently according to tv.

Has Ally played this card, knowing that they can't really afford to pay him off, but he can say to the fans, "Well I tried to go. but. "

??

Agree,, he knew exactly what's he was doing,,,, can't afford to get rid me or my staff so just a big bluff,,, now if he had went wishing all best to club and no further payoffs how good would that have been? this makes him look greedy the fool.

You don't get payment if you resign.

{Ed039's Note - Thats not necessarily true, he may have offered to resign but on his terms)

Exactly. It is hardly a resignation if the employer has to pay you a years salary is it. If you resign you just go, Period. He is a joke.

I have to start by saying that of late I have wished for a new and more tactically aware manager to take the helm of our club. I also grew up in the McCoist era and witnessed many happy days and lots of goals. I also have had the chance of meeting him a few times so I guess have many of you but all this said I have to say I am fairly sick at the level of hatred and accusations of greed that have been levelled at our manager, and all time record goal scorer. The club I loved and the best fans in the world would not be reacting the way you are towards a man who's blood is bluer than most if it wasn't for the spins at the top. It has disgusted me of late that with all the goings on at our club at boardroom level we feel fit to attack the manager who has (yes been highly/over paid) has a 75% win rate under themes difficult of circumstances ever faced by an employee of Rangers. he has had to be all things to all people Ibrox related and has done on the whole a sterling job. When you consider that he has been operating under the control of gangsters and fraudsters I consider he has done a great job of holding onto key players and trying to maintain a Rangers standard at the club. I hope that when the truth all comes out people will agree that he maybe wasn't the greatest manager in the world but his blood runs blue and we would have been in a far darker place without him. I hope the fans show some respect tonight.

he offered his resignation, that does not mean he is gone.

Agree3 Disagree0

Publicity stunt? He resigns but stays in charge? And if he has resigned, or offered to, why does the club have to pay him anything, as has been reported (From BBC "The 52-year-old has a 12-month rolling contract with the Glasgow club, who are refusing to comment at present. ") And as Ally doesn't do walking away. but now is. what made him do it? What news is around the corner that made him walk?

Agree4 Disagree0

Not been confirmed, but some reports saying he will stay till the end of the season. I don't know how that works if he has resigned, but there ya go.
