Harry Winks is just is just 19 (20 in February) and Glasgow Rangers are keen to take him to the pressure atmosphere of Ibrox, where despite playing in the Championship they fill the 51,082 stadia and have a massive travelling support. The expectation there is huge, it is a must win club and exactly the mentality we want our player involved with. The other plus is Mark Warburton is the new manager there this season, last season he was at Brentford and Mauricio Pochettino was delighted with the work he did with Alex Pritchard on loan there for the season. I'd rather have Shaq Coulthirst or Grant Ward, or ideally all three. What's the chances?

We should have had a look at Billy Sharp seeing how Leeds seem to be getting him for half a mill he would score goals for fun up here. I know they are in a better league but surely he want's to be challenging for trophies rather than scrapping for a mid table championship place.

Half mill for sharp might be possible - but £20k plus per week isn't .
Wake up & smell the coffee, there will be no one signed on those wages!!

Hear hear defo no 20 grand players arriving any time soon. But saying that how many was on high wages last season. Way to many and how much wages are we saving now. We probably could afford one high earner . Same old story who could we actually get in just hope it's sooner rather than later

For the division we are in I don't think strikers is a priority if the gaffer can get the best out of miller,Clark, Hardie, Gallacher, McKay we've also go goals in midfield with guys like law, sheils, if Templeton stays fit? Also we could bring in guys like Ramsey, Stoney etc who've been exellent for the kids there's always January if we need to strengthen

BIGWULL - & that's exactly why we won't be getting anyone from a mid table English championship team. They will be getting approx double what we will be able to pay up here, for the next few years anyway.

I agree with Kevin1984 we do have players who have the potential to score especially Clark who needs a run in the team and a confidence boost Temps could become a great striker as well in saying all that May would be a tremendous signing

I'm Fed up of the "too good for us" or we can't afford average players. If the club is run properly we can afford one or two high earners.

The reason club has lost so much cash over last few years is not due to player wages- it's ridiculous pay offs to ever changing board and even worse commercial choices.

I'm not saying we haven't wasted money on overpaid players, but it's not the main problem.

A lot if good points well made. Billy Sharp is a player I think that would be worth spending money on. But as said wages might be a problem. Nicky Clark will get us goals. He is another player who suffered due to mismanagement. I think he'll benefit greatly with W+W coming in because he's a hard worker. The point about money is correct also. Now we have hopefully rid ourself of the leeches sucking the lifeblood from the club we can focus the money on players and infrastructure to help us move forward.

we can all sit and say players of a higher standard as i'm sayin I don't want to spend bog on wagees for people can't be botherd playing for our club stevie may was decent in scottish football 20 odd a season ok not to well in championship but i'm sure if dundee united or st johmstone can offer a wadge we can match it lack of ambition for a striker is concerning

I heard a small rumour that we are looking to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea on loan, Which to me seems to be a strange 1, The lad is only 17, However him and his st partner Solanke managed to get 71 goals between them this season.

Rangers have yet to offer a contract to full back Reece Wabara. Rangers need a new right back having released Sebastien Faure and Richard Foster this summer, and it looks increasingly like Warburton will choose between Fredericks and Wabara.

Fredericks played for Brentford during Warburton's time at the club, and would be eager to play first team football after limited appearances for Middlesbrough last term.

However, Rangers only having a player on loan could be a blessing and a curse, as Fredericks would have to head back to Tottenham at the end of his stay - whereas Wabara could be tied down for years to come. With his pace and attacking ability, Wabara could be the better option; but Warburton's familiarity with Fredericks could sway his decision. Which player do you think we should go for, me I would go for Wabara.
