Is this dodoo guy really the mystery striker that MW has been hiding from us? Ok I'll be the first to admit I have never heard of him but if he signs then I'll give him my full support but I was just expecting something a little bit more exciting.

13 Jul 2016 00:17:46
Surely we will be on the lookout for a out and out striker because dodoo is more of a winger.

13 Jul 2016 05:52:29
Thierry Henry was just a winger going nowhere till he got pushed through the middle at Arsenal.

You never know?

Onward and upward.

13 Jul 2016 06:01:11
Dodoo is an exciting young talent and would not turn my nose up at him. he's exactly what the hat likes a fluent technically gifted versatile footballer who potentially could be a diamond in the rough and if we do sign him could be sold on for a profit down the line. capped at england youth level like rossiter and was on the fringes like rossiter but people not slamming that signing and dodoo was playing for the champions.

13 Jul 2016 08:52:24
I work in Leicester and amongst a lot of LCFC season ticket holders. They say Dodoo is a fantastic young player and can play across the front line and has an eye for goal. MW and FMP know the youth market and I think may have captured us some great youngsters that will fit in straight away ie: Rossister and potentially Dodoo.

13 Jul 2016 10:36:04
The striker we're all wanting could already be at the club. Ryan hardie.

13 Jul 2016 10:42:45
doesn ranieri not want5 him to go to the championship though I think this may be a loan deal.

13 Jul 2016 11:35:02
Think hardie should go out on loan agin.

13 Jul 2016 11:49:53
Delboy I agree mate would rather see Hardie get a chance than Dodoo if it's a loan. If it's permanent though I'd be delighted the boy looks a star in the making. Still think the best thing for Hardie if we do bring in other strikers would be to go to a SPFL team and see how he does at this level. I'm sure he'll score anyway, seems to have done it at every other level he's been faced with.

13 Jul 2016 13:03:11
Perhaps Hardie isn't up to it, from what I've been told ( some inside info ) last season the feeling was that the youth is not up to scratch and no-one is really in with a shout of the first team, only when the squad was thin were they on the bench, otherwise not the standard required is the feeling. This may have included Hardie.

13 Jul 2016 14:02:51
Look at McKay though, he wasn't even the pick of the bunch. A blind man on horse back could see that Hardie is going to be a player. If we let him leave mark my words he will be the next Ross Mcmormack, worth millions.

13 Jul 2016 15:58:19
I agree with Delboy9. If Hardie puts on a little muscle, I reckon he could be one of the most promising strikers to come through our system in the past 10 years.

13 Jul 2016 19:37:56
Completely agree recbob- i'd have him on a 10 year contract but would love to see him go on loan to a premier league side like Inverness or St Johnstone for experience. Wouldn't want him playing at a lower level than that.

14 Jul 2016 12:33:58
Dodoo would be great if we can get him we badly need another striker, hardie looks like a good prospect but seems to be better on the break rather than the intricate game we play, was very poor against charlston, I know it was first game but was completely anonymous compared to everyone else in the team, same as when he had a couple of sub appearances last year. jury's out but think another short loan would be good for the lad.

12 Jul 2016 21:55:54
Nottingham Forrest keep close tabs on Tav 800k. Jordan Thomson to Go back on loan to Airdrie. Dodoo on verge of loan deal.

12 Jul 2016 23:15:17
First thing we would be looking at £1m upwards for Tav. He has 2yrs left on his deal no need to panic.

Loan move for Thompson will be a good thing in the long term for him from what I have seen he is in the middle ground of u21 and first team.

Dodoo may potentially be a permanent deal and if it is we have to consider it an par with that of Dembele.

13 Jul 2016 07:47:01
I think he's better than Dembele or at least as good and he's their marquee signing! Seriously he suits our system perfectly he can play LW, RW or through the middle which is exactly what we need. I know youtube can be deceiving but from what I saw he was on target against Spurs, Man City, Liverpool and Man U reserve sides and scored a hat trick on 1st team debut against Bury bags of ability and potential and at £250k for permanant deal development fee or on a years loan we will still have cash for a decent CH 👌🏻🔴⚪️🔵🏆.

13 Jul 2016 10:47:17
Im not sure if he is as good as dembelle and defo not as big a touted name as dembelle but in warburton I trust he has my full support!
and I wouldn't sell tav he will extend his contract and if we go on to win the league with tav playing as pivitol a aprt as he was last season no reason we couldn't get a large fee for him as selik did for wanyama and dyke.

12 Jul 2016 18:22:54
Just seen on stv news that Joe dodoo, promising Leicester city winger, has been training for with the club for the last few days.

12 Jul 2016 18:59:00
What doesn´t make sense is we are looking at a loan deal supposedly yet he is out of contract? How can you loan a player who doesn´t belong to anyone? More nonsense from the media maybe?

Either way, I´m all for bringing in young talent but if this is the player brought in as the backup striker, I am not too excited.

12 Jul 2016 19:06:34
Dodoo contract has expired tho is expected to sign a new deal with Leicester and just minor adjustments before he signs. MW has jumped the queue in trying to get him on loan tho could he tempt him on a perm deal?

12 Jul 2016 20:09:56
Thats exactly it Scotty 123,couldn't have put it any better myself, leicester and ranieri rate young dodoo very highly, could be a great piece of business even though its most likely to be a season long loan deal, that's if we can fend off the championship clubs that are also wanting to sign him on loan.

13 Jul 2016 13:15:53
Yes a win win situation the lad a free agent but we couldn't compete with the clubs down south. This way we pay a percentage of his wage.

12 Jul 2016 18:18:41
Joe dodoo, striker from Leicester training with rangers, never heard of him, will this be the mystery striker we r after? hope not, was hoping for a proven goal scorer.

12 Jul 2016 18:25:17
Where does it say this? Hope not.

12 Jul 2016 18:28:27
In mark we trust looks nae bad.

12 Jul 2016 18:29:22
Just seen that there. not going to spend a bit of cash on a striker by the looks of things.

12 Jul 2016 18:34:26
Guy could be a star. Scored a quality hatrick on his senior debut in the League Cup.

12 Jul 2016 18:43:40
Give the guy a chance fellow bears.

12 Jul 2016 19:00:27
Dont know much about him but i think he is a winger. i don't think he's the striker Warburton has been talking about. bradshaw, soriano and Taylor. would be happy with any of those.

12 Jul 2016 19:08:35
MW said before the end of season that the youth team would also be strengthened during the summer. This could be that kind of addition, similar to Leacock-Macleod from Wolves last season. Surprised by lack of movement in youth team so far, apart from Knox and the Finnish winger we haven't even been linked with many.

12 Jul 2016 19:09:28
You do realise if he signs he would be turning down a deal with the premier league champions right? Imagine a time where we are signing players from the champions of England in the current economical climate how could it be negative?

13 Jul 2016 00:26:20
Stereoross similar addition to leacock macloed. well i hope not because he got released because he was a flip flop so hope he isn't that type of addition.

13 Jul 2016 00:55:22
The premier league champions under 21 team Ross. There is no way he would be playing for Leicester anytime soon. I am not suggesting this would be a negative signing by saying this but there is a difference, as teams have young players on their books just to make up the numbers in youth leagues down there, with little chance of getting into the top team much of the time. With Vardy, Musa, Ulloa, Okazaki, its obvious he won´t be playing for them anytime soon.

13 Jul 2016 10:51:49
ranieri wants him to sing another deal as he thinks he is a promising young talent for the future and in that case would be a welcome addition to rangers.

12 Jul 2016 17:32:16
Anyone else hearing the RVP rumour?

12 Jul 2016 17:57:49
Its been doing the rounds for a couple of weeks now.

Someone is having a laugh, its QPR that are after him. Unfortunately not us.

12 Jul 2016 18:01:50
It's been floating around for weeks. Absolute non starter. About as ridiculous as people saying Zlatan was going to Celtic.

12 Jul 2016 18:10:54
If we sign rvp I'll eat my skoda superb, I would love to be eating my superb truth be told, won't happen, no chance but I'd absolutely love it to happen like every bear out there!

12 Jul 2016 18:57:47
W15. Class post!

12 Jul 2016 22:36:17
Would be a great bit of business but even 1/ 8th of his wages would be to much for us.

12 Jul 2016 17:24:41
Dominic Ball has started season training with Spurs 1st team squad. Word is thu that he will be surplus to requirements and will be sent out on loan or sold.

12 Jul 2016 17:48:46
Unless its a few months loan he will be sold in final year of his contract and can sign pre contract agreement in January.

12 Jul 2016 11:05:25
Anybody else of the opinion that yesterday's Callaway day at Ibrox may be forerunner to some form of sponsorship deal?

12 Jul 2016 11:47:14
they do target comps an all diff golf events etc every open were ever it played prob just in glasgow yesterday biggest town from troon an promote the open.

12 Jul 2016 12:21:26
extremely unlikely.

12 Jul 2016 13:16:09
callaway I think they stick to golf deals mate just a wee tourne.

12 Jul 2016 15:14:56
Probably got something to do with the golf day when you can play with the players.

12 Jul 2016 23:41:22
Well there must be money in it some way or another.

With Barton at the club he brings with him Martketability we may begin to see a bit more of these sorts of events to since we aren't making money from our retail we need to think outside of the box.

Yes I believe we will try for some sort of sponsorship but until the retail deal is sorted it won't be anywhere near the kit. Maybe Ibrox, the website or something along those lines.

12 Jul 2016 23:41:00
There's always room for sponsoring or investment that will all come back especially when we r back in the champions league.

12 Jul 2016 23:36:28
Callaway will be our next sponsor. They have decided to give up on golf and have targeted the lucrative Scottish football market. Apparently they will give us a 1billion per season deal.

Seriously, golf company, the open, ibrox just being used as a venue, nothing more in it than that.

13 Jul 2016 12:32:20
well said mr nice lol this was booked as an event at ibrox more than a year ago can't remember where I saw it but callaway will not be sponsoring us lol .

I do think our next sponsor will be a big one with a record breaking deal for the club after the 330 million people that watched us play the smeltic aff the park.
