How long are our fans going to give McKay a free pass? one good game in twenty. prediction; he will be sidelined shortly.

12 Mar 2017 23:18:25
He sure needs to toughen up that's it

13 Mar 2017 07:46:15
its very rare to get a consistent winger but mckay needs to get his act together fast you can tell in the first 10 minutes of a game if mckay is in the mood or not, massive well done to murty he done a few things in his spell i was pleased with he saw early doors just how bad halliday is he tweaks the formation and yesterday his tactics were spot on was between hodson and hill for MOTM yesterday for me hodson never done anything great with the ball but the fact sinclair was non-existent for them means he done a great job

13 Mar 2017 07:51:48
I've said it before and I will say it again. Wallace has a direct effect on Mckays game. When Wallace is out of team, McKay has more free reign to take players on and run with ball. Wallace constantly goes on overlap and McKay has to wait for him or cover when he bombs forward.

13 Mar 2017 10:20:54
in yesterdays game, wallace was very disciplined and didn't bomb forward as much. hence a stronger defensive display by the team. still some cracks but hopefully something for Pedro to work with. McKay just didn't look up for the game, was pulling out and dint want to get stuck in or run with the ball. looks a mental issue that hopefully Pedro will address, as McKay has the skill and all round game to be a game changer. just needs to be managed right. well done to Murty for spotting he wasnt in the frame of mind and taking him off as i'm sure Warbs wouldn't have.

13 Mar 2017 10:24:17
McKay was marked out the game yesterday. Every time he got the ball he had Brown, Forrest and Lustig on him. I don't think he can be judged on that performance at all and would take a lot from it that Celtic saw him as a threat.

13 Mar 2017 09:41:23
Nonsense he just needs a bit of work great player there.

13 Mar 2017 10:11:44
I would give him a bus pass, too inconsistent. However when he is on his game he is our best player. Frustrating. Perhaps new manager can sort him out. Similar to Brenda sorting out Forrest. Thoughts?

13 Mar 2017 12:58:17
I don't think he realises how good he actually is.

definitely needs some strength though

13 Mar 2017 13:02:44
Wow, are we really turning on the best player in the team? Sure, he didn't have his best afternoon, but he's been on form way more than not this season. He still has a game to develop, including that final ball, but criticising him at this stage achieves absolutely nothing.

13 Mar 2017 19:00:42
I would like Murty as assistant not simply about knowing what the club is all about, he knows this particular group of players and that is why I would like him to assist Pedro.

13 Mar 2017 19:34:41
yes i agree he is inconsistent but is also our most talented player i think he will thrive under the new manager as he likes to play attacking football and will hopefully burst some confidence into mckay and give him the freedom to take people on more often as that's when he is at his best when he is in the mood to rip defenders anew one

12 Mar 2017 16:46:55
Can I say a huge well done mr murty, very well organised, that's just showed me how bad mark warburton was, he would never have lined up like that. great draw today, but we really could have nicked that there.

12 Mar 2017 17:15:24
It was actually just basic tactics tbh. warbs was to caught up in the 'barca way' of playing which only wrks for Barcelona type players. i actually thought murty won the tactical battle with brenda.

12 Mar 2017 17:44:24
With what i seen of the game i thought they played well. And proves that there isn't that much difference between them. Murty should take great pride in the job he's done these last few weeks. And although there's still work needing done the team look a lot better.

12 Mar 2017 23:05:48
agreed fellow bears, Murty and the players deserve great credit for result and performance today - just shows what you can do with some basic tactics, organisation and togetherness, sadly lacking for too long under MW

For long periods we held our own in the game and had a few great chances - a proper poacher wld surely have stuck 1 or 2 of them in the pokey.

I just wonder what Pedro made if it all and what his plans are for a very average squad - hopefully he sees like the rest of us a whole new spine is needed espesh 2 cntr halves 2 strong cntr mids (if hyndmans loan isn't extended) a poacher and quality winger with pace sorry baz you were poor today wee man and shoved aside and lost the ball far too easily.

FORZA

12 Mar 2017 23:30:53
No wit bugs me rite we no our team isn't up to scratch and seam to be struggling in games but we no that but for Celtic thay think thay are great am looking forward for this semi final

13 Mar 2017 13:05:04
Somewhere the Loafy One is preaching to a bunch of wide-eyed 19 year olds in some clapped out old college PE course that passing the ball to death sideways is the way to go and they'll learn from it.

First class!

12 Mar 2017 14:19:30
Pardew at the game next too keirnan looked like he was taking notes possible dof?

12 Mar 2017 14:30:47
Hopefully he was tapping up Kiernan for a move to Norwich

12 Mar 2017 17:13:50
He was there as a guest of that guy that manages them! So our dof? I don't think so lol.

12 Mar 2017 19:52:15
As much as our tactics were played well, we still need 5 or 6 better qaulity players to go win the title. well done today showed a bit of heart and grit.

13 Mar 2017 19:38:20
id say we still need about at least 5 players of a much better callibre starting with two new cb's.

playing well now qand then doesn't make up for a season of terrible defending.
a CDM as rossiter is unfit we need sum1 in there to challange for that spot when he gets back to fitness.
and two strikers as for miller i'd like to see him in a coaching role next season maybe even player/ assistant coach.

12 Mar 2017 14:02:46
Bears. Regarding Gilmour, I know hindsight is great but if this lad is as good as people say would it not be wise financialy to offer the guy something close to what Chelsea are offering?

Surely the lad would stay if we could near enough match their offer as in 2-3 years if we were to sell him for anything over £1 million and apparently it could be a lot more then King must realise that this would be a wise investment!

If I see this boy tearing it up down south in a couple of years and pundits etc raving about him, we will have missed out big time. I know its a lot of money for someone so young and a gamble but King should really consider this. What's your thoughts Bears should we invest in this lad?

12 Mar 2017 15:04:37
Definitely, these talents are very very rare and we have to do everything to keep him

12 Mar 2017 16:28:11
We can't keep him. Best we can hope for is the fact that he could play in first team next season instead if drifting with Chelsea. Promise him a transfer cut at later date when he's worth £50million lol. But its down to the lad.

12 Mar 2017 16:35:13
He's no more than a prospect, like Fleck, Feruz and many others were. I think we're losing our sense of perspective here. There's more chance that by the time he's 19 or 20 he'll turn into a decent player than there is that he'll turn out to be a superstar.

12 Mar 2017 17:09:08
I agree if we really rate him sign him up on a big money contract. unfortunately we can't see the nose on the end of our face and it will be another Jason Holt we sign.

12 Mar 2017 19:49:55
Yes sign in up if he is rated.
If for any reason he was to be sold we need to put a sell on clause once he attains a certain age. Is it 18 years?

13 Mar 2017 19:42:13
we must get him signed up and we don't need to offer the money they do as many of our first team don't even get that but if we say he can say get 10 games in the season or all of the cup games next year then he would stay if he is smart as he wouldn't be getting gametime anywhere else

12 Mar 2017 13:45:30
Not sure whether we should get the Ghana defender as he will have to be at the African Nations Cup, sometimes better steering off African players because of this.

12 Mar 2017 14:04:27
So going by that teams would never have got players like drogba with that thinking

12 Mar 2017 14:33:55
Totally agree, January is a critical time of the season to lose a player to the African Cup of Nations.

No comparison with Drogba IMO. Chelsea have a riches of talent to alleviate the loss of Drogba, we do not.

12 Mar 2017 14:58:00
We never got Drogba mate? But I know what you mean the boy sumalia looks a player

12 Mar 2017 15:05:21
If the gaffer wants him so do i

12 Mar 2017 17:15:14
I'm simply using drogba as an example because he's African. The fact is even though he'd be gone in January at least we'd have a better player for the rest of the season when he is available or you could just stick with keirnan for the full season

12 Mar 2017 19:40:28
All I was saying is Chelsea losing Drogba, City losing Toure or Liverpool missing Mane is less of a problem for they teams than it would be for us, given the resourced they teams have. For us to lose a key player in January would be much more detrimental given our lack of resources.

12 Mar 2017 20:04:40
Ghana have some squad so he must be a decent player to be in the starting 11.
The maximum time he would be away for The African Nations would be a month and that is providing Ghana reach the final.
If Caixinha rates him then get him signed

12 Mar 2017 23:19:14
If we were to sign him and then lose him for a short time because of the African cup, so be it, we could sign any player and then lose them for longer through injury.

13 Mar 2017 19:43:56
listen guys we need big solid fast defenders and africa have them in abundance i'm not saying we should sign both cb's form there but they are much better value for money than buying one from a league one side for the same amount.
i would like to see some more foreigners at our team and i know hyndman was basially invisible yesterday but we got to try get him signed up after this loan spell as he is a great wee playmaker.
