Reports of the impending collapse of Ibrox Stadium have been greatly exaggerated. Quelle surprise!

14 Dec 2016 17:48:33
A red top rag of a newspaper is stoking the fire with all this cr*p about hard hats.

I wish Rangers would just come out with a short statement giving the true facts to stick two fingers up at all the Rangers haters.

14 Dec 2016 18:12:34
Not an original bone in their bodies.

We did the hard hat joke a while back at Parkhead after a cup game against ICT was postponed because part of their roof fell off.

14 Dec 2016 18:17:58
if i'm going to a game i like yourself would like a statement, if i'm not mistaken it happened last yr when you were playing at ibrox, maybe that's where the story originates from, have you read something about it Cullin as i would be interested in your info plz.

14 Dec 2016 18:55:50
Bhoywonder it's worrying your support more as Ibrox is sold out most weeks.

Best advice, if it's making you a little precious don't go.

14 Dec 2016 19:05:27
why am i worried your sold out PB? makes no difference to me, but a story that's went on for yrs that no one has addressed worries me. i don't go to old firm games as they bring out the muppet element of the support and i tend to stay away from all that bull tbh . honestly think if there's nothing to it why not release a statement to say so, would that not be the best thing?

There was an incident last season, where some 'debris' was shown hanging off during a live game. Ibrox received a safety certificate for the current season. If there is to be safety netting installed, this would be as a precautionary measure. This is a lot different to stating that the stadium is 'unsafe'. As stated before, the stadium would not be allowed to host any games if deemed unsafe, that should be common sense. Someone, somewhere has made the decision that games are allowed to be held at Ibrox.

14 Dec 2016 22:29:22
5 star UEFA rated stadium. Might be needing some tlc but it's built of solid construction not rattled up like an unfinished meccano set.

15 Dec 2016 09:12:21
Listen guys you are all taking this stadium issue the wrong way. Celtic fans are not used to such luxuries as covered stadiums. Was not that long ago Parkhead has severely limited covers of any description. In fact their chairman at the time said his supporters preferred to stand in the wind and rain. As most of their supporters are paralysed from the neck up they did not seem to notice. So to summarise the issue they are still unsure of the concept of covered areas at football stadiums and don't know how to react.

15 Dec 2016 16:21:22
The rain and wind was their idea of a wash and dry, pmsl.

16 Dec 2016 10:38:42
Must be difficult for the Eastenders when their stadium was most likely built with Glasgow District council 'left overs'

16 Dec 2016 13:36:05
We all know the district council wear green lol.

16 Dec 2016 19:20:41
Left overs, now there's a pun Tomusa, something your club and the rest of the premiership are to Celtic, our left overs. Our Stadium is in fine nick thanks mate. When you look at both, Celtic Park is vibrant and Glowing, like our Club. Ibrox looks like a run down auld tenement block in the 1950s, manky lookin, depressing, needs knockin down. Our Club thrives in your Clubs lies.

16 Dec 2016 08:17:14
Breezeblock boulevard was without doubt thrown up and you can visually see that when you're inside the place! Everyone and their granny knows it was built far too fast! By far ibrox stadium was built with MUCH better quality than celtic park! Granted our stadium needs renovated but like the OP said our stadium construction is far superior to theirs and nobody will convince me otherwise!

19 Dec 2016 10:22:10
My stadiums better than your stadium and my dad can also batter your dad pmsl.

14 Dec 2016 08:21:38
Chelsea interested in Billy Gilmour.

14 Dec 2016 09:25:41
Old news? Very much doubt the boy will leave us to go downsouth. I also doubt his parents fancy moving down south for a young boy showing potential, who for all we know could end up a good league 1 player all his days.

14 Dec 2016 09:54:56
Lots of clubs want wee Gilmore.

14 Dec 2016 10:55:17
It has worked out really well for all the forgotten, talented young Scottish players who departed a Scottish club to make it down south.

But seriously, how on earth do teams go for players when they're that age. Trying to unearth the next big thing for peanuts when money certainly is no object for any team in England's top flight.

How can you tell if a player at his age is going to go on and make it at even 20, 21, 22. It's impossible to predict what goes on in that time.

14 Dec 2016 12:50:52
Seen somewhere chelseas offered 500000 for gilmour, if he's aloud to leave before making a first team apperance then were back to the days of losing our most promising players before they can show our fans exactly why their tipped from the top, imo mw should get him signed up on a long term deal and try and put off potential buyers, gilmour has the potential to be one of the best we've ever seen at ibrox, its just a question if he would rathe make money, or make a legacy, and if he can even fulfill his ppotential.

14 Dec 2016 13:19:58
GOING DOWN SOUTH RUINS YOUNG BOYS CHANCES.
I still think if danny Wilson ruined his chance to maqke it at the highest level by leaving us too young.

14 Dec 2016 14:50:14
Agree on Danny Wilson, who was very badly advised to move to Liverpool when he did.

14 Dec 2016 16:03:57
The problem is rangers need to wait until he's 16 before making him a pro contract, but that also means every other club can do the same, it's down to him and his parents to then pick where he wants to go.

14 Dec 2016 18:18:41
What kid in their right mind would go to a top Premier league club? If he cares about the football he'll learn his trade before making the move to a top team!

16 Dec 2016 19:21:26
A couple of coupons for a free drink in the louden tavern should seal the deal.

16 Dec 2016 22:46:52
Barca Bayern Chelsea all supposedly looking at him would be such a shame to see him go before he turns 16 that's the nature of the game now money talks.

14 Dec 2016 00:01:25
Saw a rumour on twitter that we might offer Ryan Babel a contract when his Deportivo La Coruna contract runs out on the 1st of January. Think it's very unlikely but this is a rumours site.

14 Dec 2016 10:19:36
Warbs has said any January business will likely come from Europe. At his peak Babel was a good talent haven't followed his career much since leaving Liverpool.

14 Dec 2016 12:09:05
Babel plays in Europe for deportivo.

14 Dec 2016 15:45:03
Saw that from ally's post cheers.

16 Dec 2016 22:48:55
Never lived up to expectation, I think some people play to much football manager lol.
