Agreed, he has his limitations but for £700k he has been a shrewd bit of business his assist total tells you that and considering he would be out of contract in 18 months then it makes sense. We will need 2 quality players for every position IMO so this makes sense.

Can't speak for all of social media but I think this page has been fairly kind to Morelos. Of course most of us are disappointed to put it lightly. He's a talent and a goal scorer but he needs to improve a lot of his game and when he misses he misses big time. It was a match screaming out for Cummings all day long and coming off his first ever hat-trick, even more so. If Cummings had played, we would have won.

I Just watched the highlights there the now, have only just managed to bring myself round to it. The one where cummings hits it straight at the keeper on Sunday, it was a magnificent tackle from their defender who deflected it straight at their keeper. The other one was bad!
what i don't get is why is Morelos getting such a hard time, not just on here. Our Central defence was shocking on sunday! i'm better than Cardoso!

Morelos doesn't deserve the flak he is getting, how many top strikers have missed sitters like that? Almost every one!
What we should be annoyed about is the defence, like what Stuart just mentioned, Cardoso is rank rotten and we were just unlucky that Bates got injured and Martin had picked up a back injury mid week or we would have been solid at the back.
Another issue was Sean Goss which is surprising, but I think the occasion just got to him a bit which is forgivable.

Defence lost us that game not morelos people need to remember how many games morelos has won for us and stop fixating on his misses.

Kfraser, sorry can't agree with you I think his all round game is good he is a presence up top he holds ball brings others into play! Yes he misses more than he scores but his contribution to team is vital he's involved in every attack we mount! He's still a young player and has to become more consistent but I'm still happy with him as main striker

We have conceded more goals than Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen. Our defensive performance this season has been terrible.

If Alves isn't in the first eleven then he should be moved on to free up some wages. Why would you have our highest earner sitting on the bench?

Agree with zikos alves should be in team he is quality regardless of what some fans think! Danny Wilson still a strange one for me! And another point is protection from central midfield is key to defending!

I’m just assuming that we won’t be able to move him on due to the high wages Zikos, obviously if he could be sold or released without having to pay him up then that would be the better option. Whilst he has not been terrible he has not been great either and that’s why I think if he is still about next season then he is backup for a new centre half.
