Has anyone heard much about Frank Lampard? Seen a few pages mention he's ending his contract in January

Not sure if I'd have him or not but even with his age he would add a bit of class and maturity to our midfield.

I think the 5 million a year might be a stumbling block. More chance of us signing his old man.

14 Nov 2016 18:01:41
If he really wants to it will happen, he's already made his money, he's still a top class player, he's no far from retirement but he could want 1 last challenge before he retires, what better challenge is there than helping one of the clubs you support get back where they belong, i'm intrigued by the rumours but i will not get excited until the club announce any future signings.

this will never happen even though he has a soft spot for our club, but imagine we got him in just for 6mths what a player for windass to learn from it would surely bring his game on leaps and bounds.

Not a hope in hell unfortunately!

Would love a pint of what you have had, there is dreaming then there is erratic, then there is delusional, am going with that.

Why would Lampard come here? No real chance of Silverwear, no affiliation what so ever and we could pay max 18k a week?

Lol dream on .

Up the Gers, second place 2016.

Although there's more chance of Christmas in July than super frank coming to gers, it would still be great to get him to ibrox, especially as stevie g is rumoured to be heading to Celtic in January.

15 Nov 2016 11:27:03
are you sure you don't have it the wrong way around, is he no wanting to buy us, that's more likely.

15 Nov 2016 12:01:16
There is more chance of Joey Barton playing for gers than frank lampard lol.

15 Nov 2016 19:36:05
Even at the tender age of 38,frank lampard would still be an amazing signing for rangers, although i don't hold out much hope for us securing his signature. He would still cruise it in the scottish premiership even though he's 38. What a boost for scottish football if frank lampard signed for rangers and steven gerrard signed for celtic! They both have stated that at one stage in their career, that they would love to play for rangers and celtic. Frank lampard is a rangers fan and steven gerrard is a celtic fan.

15 Nov 2016 23:54:08
My oh my after years of shouting about giving youth a chance were still hell bent on signing pensioners, this signing would just be keeping another young player out of these 38 year old give us all a break.

16 Nov 2016 09:48:03
Bongo I get were your coming from, but there's normal 38 yr olds then there's frank lampard who in my opinion is still pure class, but it's all pie in the sky, he won't sign for rangers, unfortunately I may add.

17 Nov 2016 11:30:00
no chance he will come but he a player i'd welcome.

Would most fans be happy with just loan deals in the January window?

The most ITK Twitter/ forum poster already said Kristian Bielik and Chris Willock from Arsenal are targets for January. Thinking Harry Winks and Tom Carroll on loan from Spurs might be options for the centre of the park.

We brought in Forrester, King, O'Halloran and just missed out on Diagouraga last January. At that point we were a team trying to get out of the Championship. Now we're a team trying to get second place for a European place which is essential.

Surely if we could have had as much as four players joining last Janauary, that should be the bare minimum for this window.

14 Nov 2016 16:22:28
We already have players who have not had the time, or sometimes the opportunity, to make an impression this seadon so far, including the likes of O'Halloran, so bringing in another four would just confuse and disrupt things even further. Hill is on record for saying that he's just now getting used to what the manager wants him to do, Rossiter and Crooks have hardly featured for one reason or another, so I would suggest all this 'gelling' and 'planning' is already well behind schedule if it was ever on schedule. I'd go for one middle to front player with some energy and a centre half with some defensive skills and leave it there. If things haven't 'gelled' by the end of the season, or if we haven't 'learned from that' then the manager goes.

14 Nov 2016 16:28:09
Would prefer loans rather than trust Warbs with money we don't have.

14 Nov 2016 16:49:01
I wouldn't spend a single penny! For one we don't have it and two we don't need to! Rossiter crooks senderos should be like new signings! i'd take a creative player and a goal poacher on loan if possible.

14 Nov 2016 18:29:49
Find it funny everyone going on about players in Jan when most of you are saying give warburton time to get the team up to speed, surely another 3 or 4 players shall put him further behind getting the the team up to speed?

14 Nov 2016 22:04:41
If he brings in more players it gives him the 'gelling' excuse for the rest of the season!

15 Nov 2016 12:50:36
I think all we need is a defender and for the players we have to up their game and for the injury prone guys to get better and have a run of games but a defender is a must. the centre halfs we have the now just don't cut it .
we need sum1 with pace.
