Going to be a hard task against The Mighty Montrose. Their manager is Division 3 Manager of The Month. Lets hope we can pull this one off, or at least hold out for the draw.

Well done The Gers. A stunning victory!! That will teach the Montrose centre forward to fix my plumbing in a proper fashion next time he calls at my house. He left the sink leaking all over the place. B-stard. I hope he plays football better than he fixes taps.

Ally confirming that club going forward cannot pay transfer fees and can only approach out of contract guys.

""For any player we want to sign, the thing is he has to be out of contract so we're looking at all the players who fall into that category and contacting one or two people about them."

So clearly share money isn't for buying in new guys.

Believable29 Unbelievable38

What point are you trying to make other than to state the obvious and make it sound negative? It is quite simple. We cannot buy anyone in until January 2014 because of the registration embargo. If we are to get any new faces in before then it will have to be out of contract players who can sign come September. Nothing untoward in that and the prospectus didn't even mention player PURCHASES, it mentioned investment in the brand, merchandising and media plus for the much needed refurbishment of Ibrox.

Not quite accurate mate. The reason we have to look at out of contract players is because of the transfer embargo. If we buy anybody we can't register them till Jan 2014. However if they let their contracts expire in the summer then we can register them as freebies once the embargo is over. Actually a clever way to get in some decent players.

Agree1 Disagree1

Few half decent players would let contracts expire and take the risk of no football just to try and join Rangers in the bottom rungs. Whilst on contract they try to get transfers and overlapping contracts plus 20% of transfer fees.

Agree1 Disagree0

Rangers have a two window transfer and registration embargo. The SFA won't register new players until after jan 2014 window shuts. So it's got to be out of contracts in January 2014. Who would take the risk of being out of football for half a season? Rangers don't sign you after the window? Or rangers get tricky knowing you're in a weak position, unsigned out of transfer window and offer you lowers money?

Agree1 Disagree1

2 window or 1 year embargo means rangers can register out of contract players from 1st 2nd 3rd of September 2013 depending on which of them days that particular window closes. Why are people still disagreeing or arguing about this?

Charlotte ventures Craig White company owns Albion car park

Agree0 Disagree2

@4 Rangers embargo ends at the end of the summer transfer window. So why exactly wouldn't the SFA not register free agents until Jan 14?? You've got that totally wrong mate, it's not rocket science.

Agree1 Disagree2

I think he was talking about the transfer embargo there, as we can't sign/register players until Sept 1st next year

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlotte ventures is a David Murray company.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers can sign any player that is willing to join them and give them any contract the two parties are happy with at any time, they just cannot register them to play. So all the who would take the chance off going out off contract for 6 months is c**p

So Ally states that Lafferty and Naismith have only
themselves to blame and he can understand why they
will not be welcome back perhaps by the fans.
That perhaps is fair enough and while it would have been
great if they all had stayed, even if it only meant that
they had to be sold as part of agreeing to transfer over
to the new company there surely is more than Naismith
and Lafferty who should fall into the category of not
being perhaps welcome back at the club.
Well aware we got some cash for a few but that was down
to those clubs who felt it was better to offer some form
of compensation, the actual players did not influence that.
Likes of McGregor Whittaker surely fall into the same
category as the first two and in the case of others as well
even the likes of Ness who spent most of his time with
Rangers on the treatment table away quicker than he
appeared on the park.

I dont wish any of the above players any ill and I look out for their teams results and hope they played well but I certainly wont be standing applauding them back on to the Ibrox turf as I did with REAL " heroes " last Saturday.

Agree0 Disagree2

Unfortunately most players nowadays have no morals or loyalty.....the only loyalty is to the £££s. So called rangers men fled at the first opportunity. I agree if they had any decency about them they would of transferred to their contracts with the provision that they be sold on immediately for a nominal fee, ie like Edu done, not only that but he gave rangers his £250k signing on fee. What a difference between so called rangers men and someone who had no allegiances before he joined, and as for Ness, Wylde and McCabe - they've done well for themselves! - biggest mistakes they will ever of made.

Agree2 Disagree1

Why do we wish people ill will all the time? we were mismanged and we have had to cut our cloth to suit.
Green only wanted to sell the bulk of the players on even if they did wish to stay.
Ally should no better than to critise the football union they are there like any union to protect their members not the intrests of the owners. They have to advise and act in the best intrest of all the players, Ally should well know this because if they didnt, players would be treated like cattle etc sold on in the market place when owners want their profits. Ally are you becoming a Green puppet with the same Thatcherite thinkings of profit profit profit all for the few big bosses at the top if so... we have not moved on at this club and like Animal Farm "The Pigs" will rule..and change never actually happened.. worrying

Agree2 Disagree1

I agree Edu is a different breed to those that walked out without letting club get nominal fees for them ! I wont forgive them, Edu was excellent for us last year, and showed his class they way he left, so will always be welcome back at ibrox, cant say same for Ness, Whittaker, Naismith, Lafferty and co. Have never seen that Edu gave club his £250,000 signing on fee, if true that amazing.

Agree2 Disagree1

We should be inviting steven naismith back with open arms a real genuine guy who helps others unfortunate a gem

Agree1 Disagree3

What about mccoist's statement "me and ian durrant wouldnt have left" what a plum rangers werent in the bottom tier when they were at the club, therefore think they may have,.,.kbarry

Agree1 Disagree1

What ally is saying the way the so called Rangers men walked out. I for one cannot blame theme for leaving, but i can blame them for not honouring their agreement to leave for the greatly reduced fees they agreed. That is what ally is referring to, and is right to do so.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ally not just playing to the crowd but who made him the appointed spokesman for fans on who is welcome at Ibrox or not?

No manager speaks for the fans.

What Ally was doing was telling the fans not to accept these two. That's really what was going down.

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry, but the only people to blame for certain players not being welcomed back are the fans of the club currently playing out of Ibrox. And no doubt, if certain fans shout loudly enough your CEO will officially ban them from setting foot in Ibrox to further ingratiate himself with the lunatic fringe.

For me guys like mccabe, fleck, elliot ness , and others etc are even more guilty. at least the other guys did us a turn, and were older an seeking to play in premiership. the younger guys were brought through at expense, were supported through injury etc, then deserted us, without any money coming back. plus they could easily have played through the divisions, got us back, became heroes, then young enough to then maybe left for premiership

Agree0 Disagree0

Give Ally a break. Any true Rangers fan would not welcome any of the deserters back at ibrox - fact. They had the opportunity to help the club but walked out. Noone expected them to play in Div 3 but they could ave done an Edu. They made their decision and they can live with it. Anyone on here saying otherwise is not a Rangers fan.
