So I've heard as part of the Kyle Lafferty deal Hearts would prefer Lee Hodson?
Due to his versatility of being able to not only play in his more natural role at right back but he can also play left back where he has been playing in the last year
Personally, i think £500,000 along with Lee Hodson as a sweetener is more than enough to get the deal across the line.

People on here criticising solanke haven’t seen him play probab play probably. Watched him in the under 20 World Cup it has England which they won and he was the top goals scorer and player of the tournament. Kaz comparing mcburnie to solanke is like comparing Barry Bannan to Lionel Messi. he's a top quality player and will make a major impact up here.

Who thinks the Rangers board may be awaiting their fate to whether we properly qualify at group stages before adding a few more players in the squad?
I feel we will wrap up the signing of Lafferty by start of next week circa £600,000
If we do get into the qualifying stages of Europa proper I'd like to see much added reinforcements in midfield, perhaps a creative midfielder with a decent scoring record along with another solid centre back for cover of Goldson and Katic.

His natural position is centre midfield he just filled in at leftback as Mendy was injured. Watched him a few tims at psv Eindhoven where he played as an attacking midfielder a couple of seasons ago when he was out in loan and was very impressive. He knocked back a 13 million pound move to wolves and if we got him on loan (which I doubt) he would be an unbelievable signing for us.

Steakpie, some of our supporters are jumping the gun regarding kyle lafferty. Its currently not a done deal and won't be 'till he's being paraded, with a rangers scarf above his head! Only then, will i believe, its a done deal and not until! There's obviously something not right, regarding the negotiations between rangers and hearts, otherwise it would be done and dusted by now!

I think it might be to do with the fact that most of our team have been in Slovenia the last couple of days, i expected to see a bit of movement today but there hasn't been a sniff all day possibly due to not rocking the boat on Hearts terms before this weekends fixtures. I expect to see some movement on Monday.

We should remove the screens and add seats. I'd imagine it would take capacity to at least 55k. Surely the most economical option to begin with. Screens could go on large frames in the space between Copland and Broomloan and main stand.

I'd love to see Ibrox capacity raised by around 5k as long as it was for the home support can't afford a season ticket and general sale you often get left fighting for the scraps.

We have played over 900 minutes of football under Steven Gerrard. Weve had 720 minutes of competitive action and had to travel to Croatia, Slovenia and Macedonia. We've had men sent off early in two different games. So far we haven't been behind for a single second.

Oh dear Can I just say to you all of course mistakes have been made. We are human beings are we not and all I repeat all human beings make mistakes at some point but you doubters of the chairman and current board ask yourself two things:
1. If the chairman and board were remotely dogey (dodgy) do you think Stevie and Gary would be here? do you think for one moment they would have cane on board if Ashley was still in the the corridors? The chairman sorted that and won that battle RESPECT.
2. Don’t you think the current board deserve a little credit (chairman included) for working and giving all their efforts for no monetary gain / salaries whatsoever. stack that up against the salaries Ashley and his cronies and you people should be ashamed

I must say I was mightily impressed with Stevie"s after match interview tonight. You could clearly see he was delighted that his players shut the Maribor players and manager's big traps for them. At last we have another manager who gets what our great club is about. Steven has behaved impeccably despite attempts by all and sundry to derail his early tenure.
He is making sure his players do their talking on the park and has not put a foot wrong so far. He oozes class and listening closely to his interviews you get the feeling the club is once again in safe hands. That was a difficult game tonight against a very good side.
I was glad Andy Halliday had a good game. I think that some of the stick he has received has been bang out of order. Stevie obviously sees what he brings to the table on and off the park and that's good enough for me.
Thought McGregor's save was world class and well deserved as it was never a pen in a month of Sundays. Didn't know John Beaton was allowed to officiate in a European match involving a Scottish side! And one final thought- just how good is Connor Goldson?
A real gem has been unearthed this season. I thought he was absolutely immense tonight and looks to be the best CB in Scotland, and by some distance. Very pleased and a huge well done to everybody at our wonderful club, from the tea ladies to the boatd.

Our defence and Gk is different class, we were without flanagan and barasic. We are solid at the back. Mark allen deserves a lot of credit too. Not that long ago, myself included, questioned the need for a dof. Much more like the Rangers we know👍.

100% agree, don’t think it’s unreasonable to say we have the best keeper and back four in the league, what we need is a prolific striker like Griffiths was for them a few years ago, doesn’t need to cost a fortune but needs to score more than he misses, for the money talked about Lafferty can be useful also. Need some back up for our sterling defence also.

Said it on twitter yesterday Mark Allan has been our best appointment to date. Great scouting network and had the vision courage to say to King appoint Gerrard when the safe bet was someone with experience.
