What does everyone think of the rumours of tony pullis for the job? Heavily rumoured down south that he's coming to us and the only reason murty is being kept as interim until the new year is that pullis wants to spend crimbo and new year with his family. Good manager for me tbh.

17 Dec 2017 23:35:42
Dc Pulis has a good track record in the premiership over a long period. He is clearly the best British manager available at present. Its time for the board to act now and get him in as soon as possible and give him the backing he will need to turn this very poor and weak team around. The majority are not fit to wear the jersey and I am certain Pulis would address this quickly.

17 Dec 2017 23:37:28
Fingers crossed for me

18 Dec 2017 00:08:35
The next manager is going have to be backed with a funds we at least need 5 6 better quality players espically if rumours are true and alves pena herrera are to be moved on.
i seroiusly hope our new manager who ever it be decides to get a new keeper

18 Dec 2017 02:49:24
With Celtic proving to be inconsistent this year and for us to be there or there abouts I would like to see the Pulis appointment. I think it’d show real ambition from the board and an intention of winning the league this year.

We all need a shot in the arm. Pulis could be it.

18 Dec 2017 08:13:53
if swansea lose tonight i think clement could be gone and imagine pulis would be the man they want to replace him i’d like pulis to be our nxt manager if anything he would put together a physical team which we definetely are not just now hopefully we've agreed terms with pulis and the rumours of him wanting xmas off are all that's holding the deal up

18 Dec 2017 10:17:02
If it is pulis i'm sure he watching the games and certain players who don't entertain him will be off in jan if he does come in jan givig him time to see who out there down south for loan or can afford if king gave him a budget etc

18 Dec 2017 12:11:20
If it is Pulls why don't the board sign him up just now but just start new year before some one else gets him

18 Dec 2017 14:54:26
Think Pulis would be good, especially defensively but I personally would like Paul Lambert, would cost nothing and has good background and blues supporter as a boy, don't care he play for Celtic and would know the league and what it takes, can only wait til a get pelters for this😂😂😂but he would do for me!

18 Dec 2017 15:17:21
He's no worse a shout than a lot of other names bandied about on these forums
👍👍

18 Dec 2017 15:33:49
If the rumours are true and Pulis will be appointed after crimbo he might have already handed Allen a shopping list of the type of a player we need and may have even identified specific players he will steady the ship and help us give them a run for their money and who knows another helicopter Sunday

18 Dec 2017 19:23:10
Seriously doubt any manager would want to wait that long, he would risk the team falling even further behind our rivals.

18 Dec 2017 19:25:24
Don’t fancy Pullis really. His teams are usually set out for a survival battle. In terms of tactics and formation pretty negative. A know we are not exactly playing free flowing football right now but think style would be worse under Pullis. He’s also used to working with a vast transfer kitty something we couldn’t offer for the foreseeable future.

18 Dec 2017 20:18:14
I forgot bout Lambert that's a good shout

18 Dec 2017 20:35:10
Lambert is a dreadful shout, just look at his last adventure. He's a shambles and hasn't got a job for a reason.

18 Dec 2017 20:53:11
I think lambert comes in and does well at first but he leaves teams worse off than they were before. I personally think pullis is a great shout. Aye he might set out teams to survive in England by being physical but let's be fair we haven't exactly been good defensively for a wee while now so this might be the type of manager we need. Aye it won't be exciting but you know what who cares if we start getting results. Celtic and the sheep keep slipping up his season so get pullis in and at least make us hard to beat. He will need some dough but I genuinely don't think we are far off a decent side. Maybe a bit more pace going forward and figure out what we are doing defensively because (I might get slaughtered for this) alves is a bombscare in my opinion.

19 Dec 2017 02:02:27
DSGERSFAN that's why i think its a load of rubbish, if he has stated he doesn't want to work till the new year why not just sign him, just because he doesn't want to work till the new year doesn't mean he can't sign a contract before then. I still think we are going to be very unimpressed by the next manager, hope am wrong though.

19 Dec 2017 02:08:56
I think tony would be a good shout and if it does happen am backing him 100% after all every body deserves there chance

19 Dec 2017 02:31:08
How about Craig Levein, masses of experience of Scottish game and has also managed down south.

19 Dec 2017 06:07:53
Sorry bankie, i wouldn't touch craig levein with a bargepole! Not for me mate!

19 Dec 2017 15:22:39
Fintry tint that's Wat I ment sign him on a precontract

17 Dec 2017 16:32:14
Think we need 2/ 3 players in Jan and maybe say see you later to Niko and someone else. Really think 100 percenters are needed. For example Simon Murray. Hibs are full of them. And look where they are with tiny budget. Or we could just get lennon lol.

17 Dec 2017 17:39:02
Would take Leon nay bother and he's hard enough to say aye

17 Dec 2017 21:08:16
I would say as well as having MOH back for another crack through the middle, we need about 5 new faces thrown in the mix. I am under no illusions about transfer budgets and new manager scenarios but we must freshen things up and add a new dynamic to the playing squad, even If transfers are young low budget additions or maybe even quality loans. The team must be given a fighting chance to gain a better position than last season.

17 Dec 2017 21:48:46
He can’t play with his back to goal because he hasn’t got a first touch which is why he can’t play through the middle for us and is why he has struggled when he has played for us out on the wing because it’s different when you play for a team who have most of the ball and you have to try and break teams down as to playing for a team who play counter attacking football with balls over the top etc.

17 Dec 2017 22:02:19
Snell, Alex 32 and wee_bear. So where we a better team on Saturday without miller then?

17 Dec 2017 22:55:09
No we weren’t Rick fair play to you, Miller has been the key to it all!

17 Dec 2017 23:04:28
Rick, MOH would play with Morelos who would hold the ball up. He would tussle with Windass for the pacey secondary striker roll. We don't have most of the ball in top 6 games and all Windass' goals have been from balls over the top or through balls so I don't know where your coming from. Also we have the two biggest assist rate players in Candeias and Tav as well as McCrorie who loves a through ball to feed him. Admit MOH and Windass are similar players but competition has to be fierce. MOH has 5 goals on his tally and Windass has 6 now. We don't have a tremendous amount of options just now so we need to utilise what we do have.

18 Dec 2017 00:45:31
your bang on Rick. We would have coasted that game and never have given away such cheap goals if we had Miller there 😐

18 Dec 2017 07:15:56
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm there Snell? Lol

19 Dec 2017 02:32:31
MOH had plenty of chances. Just not good enough and a poor attitude to boot. Would get Dodoo back in the first team squad though, always looked explosive off the bench. Looking at the bench on Saturday we had nothing offensively to offer.

17 Dec 2017 16:04:45
Rangers linked with jack Hendry and Jordan Jones two young prospects which I think k would be good additions to the squad.

17 Dec 2017 16:13:22
Nothing against either but i think we need proven players rather than prospects because a lot of what we have aren't fit for purpose.

17 Dec 2017 16:19:16
We should try and sign harry cochrane aswell.

17 Dec 2017 17:00:42
Was hoping we would make a move for jones

17 Dec 2017 17:16:04
I think for the last few years we have tried to sign proven players and it’s not exactly been great, nor is it good for business. I think looking at younger more raw players who can come and do a job and hopefully be sold on at a profit, as they wouldn’t cost anywhere near as much as a proven player.

17 Dec 2017 20:42:13
Proven players like Alves and Kranjcar? . Jones, Robson and Hendry etc offer mobility. something which our so called proven players lack. We drastically require players with hungar and desire to fight for every ball as well as a place in the team. Competition in our squad needs to become fierce quickly or we will continue to get nowhere.

17 Dec 2017 21:25:20
I said 2 months ago about Jordan jones being a good signing. he's been capped by N Ireland since then so price will prob go up.

18 Dec 2017 19:02:08
Cochrane is another one who escaped the net. He was with us until he was 13, but it's unclear whether he was released or just left.

18 Dec 2017 19:13:56
Jorden Jones is a decent prospect. I spoke to Billy Thompson about him a few weeks ago and Billy spoke very highly of him

17 Dec 2017 14:05:58
Jamie Murphy would be a great signing if we pull it off in january. Fingers crossed on that one.

Im more excited for the january transfer window than i am for christmas.

I wonder who santa will bring us in January.

17 Dec 2017 15:21:18
Nobody, no money and no manager - simple.

17 Dec 2017 15:29:57
Even if Santa brought us Jamie Murphy that's hardly massively exciting is it.

17 Dec 2017 01:04:37
Rangers need to have a look at their work ethic levels today. On the ball they produced little, and off the ball we're nothing short of pitiful. Failure to press St Johnstone when they had possession, and failure to show desire and urgency when tracking back. The fact they brought on a guy who can't run the length of the 6 yard box when Barjonas is available is disgraceful.

Again showed weakness in the lack of capable squad depth. Major work needed on teams intensity levels. We should be on the attack from start to finish and show a superior level of fitness. That was nothing short of a shambles today. Creativity and effort non existent. I'd fine any player who comes out and says 'we know we need to do better' or 'we let the fans down' after that. That patter is not acceptable. Actions matter. Words do not.

17 Dec 2017 06:44:53
we have zero creativity in that team and because of that we can't play against teams who sit in its no coincidence that's why murtys results against the lower teams is so bad but he’s had great results against the sheep and hibs because they came and had a go and left gaps i also feel its time for wes to be replaced he doesn't look like saving anything anymore and his distribution is awful every successful team I've saw in my life time has had the foundation of a quality goalkeeper

17 Dec 2017 09:32:22
I agree we need quality we need three one four players who can do things different with the ball open up defences, we played well at home to Aberdeen and got the job done away, but other than those two game we have been dire away to Hibs we were awful we got battered and Wes saved our bacon with some great saves, so for me two acceptable performances against Aberdeen, the other games under Murty have been atrocious, now I'm not blaming Murty he has been hung out to dry by this circus of a board he has been the guy that has stood in front of the media and answered the questions where is our board yes hiding in their tower releasing crass statements on managers who have turned us down, they should hang their heads in shame does anyone think we have moved on since they got their hands on the club, they have been responsible for The of the worst managers in the clubs history, spent millions backing those pair of duds leaving us with no manager and a bunch of players with no heart no fight and no hope, we still have fans blinded by two results against Aberdeen and a smash and grab against Hibs, we are only a few points behind Celtic if we had won against this team or that team we would be ahead, well let me burst that bubble we didn't winning four in a row is no great feat to me I've been a supporter for over thirty years share holder and season ticket holder and I'm raging about the state of my club, fans need to let their voices be heard this is not good enough the board need to be taken to account for the shambles we are in, a chairman who is never here that's ok if the club is going well and the right men are left in charge but none of those apply here, please sit down look at our results and performances and judge if we are any closer to a title challenge, we are not we need a manager in who demands respect a man when he walks into a room everyone shuts up and sits up he earns the respect of the players who in turn would run through a brick wall for him, what I see here is players who just give up when things turn against and a manager who is out of his depth, I'm not having a go at Murty he is an honest man a good coach and a lovely guy but he is our U20s coach, like it or lump it things will not get any better till we have that manager in place and money to spend so buckle up for more of yesterday we are a mid table team nothing more

17 Dec 2017 13:39:59
Think we need to keep calm bears, that was a shocking performance yesterday and there’s no excuse for it, none were offered. For me it’s about the reaction to this and hopefully we will be at it from minute 1 in the next 3 pivotal games. We have a lack of quality in the meantime dole of the park and that needs addressing but we were also missing Dorrans who for me will be perfect for the top of the diamond formation. Tav and John are good players but they are no world beaters and we will have days like yesterday when we struggle to break teams down. The defensive mistakes yesterday were shocking but they were individual mistakes once again and the players need to look at themselves for them.

I still feel positive about the season and was glad to see Morelos score again! We need him to march onto 20+ goals this season and I had hoped for 15 from Dorrans but he still has time if he can get fit and stay fit. We need a midfielder to take Holts jersey. While Holt tries his heart out his passing isn’t up to it and he’d be better as back up I think.

17 Dec 2017 15:24:53
we need 2 wingers urgently tav and john need to stay back and try and defend better to save us being caught out as often.
