Believable4 Unbelievable21

Better with hotshot Hamish than him

Agree10 Disagree1

Hamish would do a job for us - see that shot of his - wow!

Have heard that Ally is interested in Nigel Hasselbaink from St.mirren and Gary Kenneth, also Fulham are in for Celik so we won't be getting him.

Gus

Believable2 Unbelievable17

Hope not, Hasslebaink isn't great and Kenneth is very poor.

Agree14 Disagree1

Absolute guff mate, fulham do not want him, Martin Jol said two weeks ago he only wanted to sign a striker if Zamoro left, please do not post nonsence

Agree8 Disagree1

If we sign them donkeys I won't be back

Agree5 Disagree6

Jol meant for the first team as a regular starter. Celik wouldn't be that for Fulham yet.

Agree1 Disagree2

Not his fault mate, it solid menchined it in the paper bout fulham, even if true means nothin anyway buddy as apparently we offered impressive terms due to freeing up wages.
Dtp89

Agree1 Disagree4

Perhaps mate, lets just hope he wants to play for the mighty bluebells!! someone should send him a cold pint of tennents super, then he'll def want to come to glesge!!

Swedish winger Mervan Celik to complete switch to Rangers in next week
Jan 19 2012 Exclusive Scott McDermott

MERVAN CELIK looks certain to be a Rangers player by next week.

The Swedish winger last night revealed he could jet into Glasgow within the next few days to tie up a 7000-a-week deal with the SPL champions and become Ally McCoist’s first signing of the transfer window.

As Record Sport exclusively revealed last week, the 21-year-old has been on the Ibrox gaffer’s wanted list since leaving Swedish club GAIS as a free agent.

Just one or two details remain to be finalised and Celik said: “I’ll be in Scotland soon, hopefully this week, to sign for Rangers.”Gers may have to pay between 100,000 and 350,000 in compensation for Celik but, for a player valued at 1.5 million, it could prove to be shrewd business.

Celik is a Sweden Under-21 international and on the fringe of the full national side.

McCoist confirmed last week he’d put together a package for the wide man and, despite lucrative offers from Italy and Turkey, Gers look to have landed him.

Agree1 Disagree1

Probably true, no money to pay upfront as it would be thrashed out at a tribunal how much would actually need to be paid. They would then have to get in line after HMRC seems to be the way business is done at Ibrox. "Scott McDermott exclusive ha ha "

ED any news on the tax result av heard sweet f aw and thats unusal And what of this jim mcoll rumours?
WATP
BIG CRAIG {Ed014's Note - There is no news on the tax situation and I think the McColl stories are just wishful thinking. He has stated a number of times he has no interest in taking over at Ibrox.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

If the tax case had gone in Rangers favour, Rangers PR people would be feeding positive spin stories to the media. As there has been no such reporting, it suggests things haven't gone that well.

Agree2 Disagree6

Rangers dont know what the outcome is, they will need to wait the same as us

Agree4 Disagree0

Hi ED, what are ppl talkin about? I thought the tax case was in march, did something happen today? {Ed014's Note - The hearing has been over the last few days. The results aren't due till March with what is reported.

I'm watching the wolves Birmingham match, the boy hammil for wolves looks very good allthough very rarely gets a look in. Worth a punt on a loan move?

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Na ive seen him play he is no better than anyone we have so would make no difference to the team, just a waste of wages

Agree3 Disagree4

I‘m watching the inverness game, and a think we have lost out on a future gers star, wee andrew shinnie is playin superb for caley infact so is his brother graham lol, anybody else think the same? (loyal bear)

Agree8 Disagree1

Adam Hammill is better than most of the wingers Rangers have. Just because he doesn't get much playing time for Wolves - a Premier League team, remember - doesn't mean he's not very good.

Agree7 Disagree2

Time to hold our breath, fellow bears. It's great to see a bit of optimism but really,we're in big trouble. This transfer window is already going down the same road as the last one.No one in,trying to move people out.Kid on trialists etc.I very rarely post but when I do I get accused of being anyhing from a bad ger to a bigotted tim.

I'll try again.we're skint and could be out of business within weeks.when I first posted this months ago I asked my fellow bears to get their heads out of the sand and start questioning what was going on.I'm the guy who said face the problems, just shouting thing like "WATP or "No S********" will not solve our problems.
There will be no big transfers into the club,we have no money. We'll get bottom dollar for Jelavic etc because everyone knows we're skint.
I'll say it again but I fear his time it may be too late.If you care about our club, get off your backside now and start pressurising who can help.Things are dire.we have a crooked owner,no auditor backing,no bank credit,49m debt without the tax case,Companies Act failures, etc. It's along list.Forget the transfer window,we could be out of business in a couple of weeks.

Agree13 Disagree7

Better....no he is not, hes no better than wylde or aluko dont gimmie it, wud be a total waste of money

Agree1 Disagree1

..I,ve never see so much tosh on one page in my life....you,d better take your revolver and do the honourable thing pal if you think things are that bad..jeez

Agree7 Disagree1

In response to above post.....lets just wait and see what happens with the tax case....there have been several other clubs had cases against the for much larger sums and have had to pay very small percentage of the original price....as much as Whyte is a crook he is a good one financially....i think he sees us as a way to make good money pretty quick by stabalising and selling....its not all doom and gloom just need to be patient....and all it would take is a decent partner for Jela and another creative wide player and we would be looking pretty good on the pitch

Lets stay positive fellow breas

Agree4 Disagree2

Ha the post above, how do you make yourself invisible mate can i ask, or turn into a fly on the wall? mabey with your powers you can become a billionaire and bail us out then!! h, oh and when did you get a blueprint copy of rangers bank accounts aswell? becoz thats actually illegal my friend, as a private banker myself i could actually have you prosecuted if you are saying you have seen documents with club confidentiality??

Agree0 Disagree2

When did i mention seeing bank accounts my friend? Simply saying that all this 'we are going to go bust' bulls**t does no one any good...lets just see what happens...but going by others clubs cases for the same tax issues the sums they where being chased for and the sums they paid i would say it will turn out waaaaaaaay better than us going bust....negativity gets no one anywhere my friend!! And relax dude whats with the aggression!?

TheHeat

Agree1 Disagree0

To those who are saying Hammill isn't any better then what Rangers already have: how many times have you actually watched him? From what I've seen for Wolves when he has played, he's been decent - would Wylde or Aluko get a game for them, even in a cup replay? I very much doubt it?

As for being a waste of money, Rangers don't have any money to waste.

Agree1 Disagree1

Well dont come on here and post statementslike that when you have no inside knowledge like the rest of us of what is actually happening it doesnt do anyone any good, all we know for certain is that rangers had 18 million debt with llyods banking group and it was moved to craig whytes company wavetower limited so we are no longer in any debt with the bank, we know we have a POTENTIAL tax bill of 49 million which may or may not go against us, and that is it, you do not know how the situation would be handled if it did go against us, to say 'we may be out of business is a few weeks' is a ridiculous statement with no founded proof of your own apart from what you read on the internet.

Agree2 Disagree1

Yeah as for hammil i have seen him a few times....mate comon wolves are rotten!! there a low level prem team , there only 1 or 2 of there players i would take at rangers, aluko yes i do believe he could play in the wolves first team no bother, if james mcfadden can get a game for everton he can get a game for wolves

Agree1 Disagree0

Hammil wouldn't get a trial at juventus, aluko did.

Agree3 Disagree0

Haha! private banker my a**e! prosecuted for what?looking at a copy of a document? blueforyou.

Agree1 Disagree0

I am not sure if that last post was aimed at me? But if it was i never said that horrible quote thats being throwin around about going out of business...we all read the papers and we all have a rough idea whats going on but lets just wait and see what happens....looks like we will find out soon enough! To be honest kinda sick dudes coming on here and saying all the negative spins....way overly negative spins....lets just see what happens. Fingers crossed on the team front can move out a couple bodies....Weir / Fleck already and hopefully Broadfoot / Ortiz at least will follow to free up some wages for some new faces...

TheHeat

Agree2 Disagree1

That boy hammil wouldnt come to rangers, he was at dunfermline on loan a few seasons back and he said that he was celtic daft so dont see him coming to us.

Agree1 Disagree2

That guy hammil is dump. If you can't get a game for wolves you must b p!sh. Fletcher is the only guy can score for them and he couldnae score in A barrel of fanjitas for the littlest hobos. Mite as well stick with what bunk we have rather than signing more. :-)

Agree0 Disagree1

Well said once again blueforyou, a bear that makes sense.

Greenforyou

Agree0 Disagree0

"as a private banker myself"....i've not laughed like that for a long time. That will explain why your head is firmly rammed up your own ar*e.

Agree0 Disagree1

To the guy who claims he is a banker himself and that he could have the other guy prosecuted, get a grip you pathetic little man what kind of idiot comes on and says something like that. go and count your coins and shut up, anyway i doubt very much the guy is bothered.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah, Rangers fans still having delusions of grandeur about the type of player they believe they can bring to the club. Sweet.

Dundee Utd fan here in peace - Gary Kenneth will be a Ranger player by the end of January - FACT. I have it straight from the stallions mouth, McCoist is a huge fan and has already sounded him out. I will be gutted to see him leave. I think he will be a huge star for you guys.

Araba-cadabra

Believable8 Unbelievable25

Why would we sign that donkey when we already have the 2 best cbs in the league,

this sound like the whole oconnor at cowdenbath situation to me,

Agree9 Disagree3

Heard this rumour too, really hope no, he's dangerously clumsy

Agree10 Disagree0

No offence mate....Dundee Utd and Rangers totally different level, Gary Kenneth is only good enuf to clean Goian and Bocanegra's boots, and i dont believe your rumour anyway, its 1 area we do not need to strenghen we have two quality international defenders and squad backup so no chance we would go for Kenneth!!

Agree11 Disagree1

Ross perry is just as good as him

Agree12 Disagree1

Garry kenneths got 2gears - reverse and stall so stop talking jimmy white

Agree6 Disagree1

Replacement for goian when he goes to bolton, dosen't think ally has a clue and wants a move

Agree4 Disagree5

I live in Dundee and this is well known. Goian has been well under par since returning and he and McCoist are not getting on. Bolton are keen

Agree2 Disagree4

If we go for kenneth we would be a club going backwards

Agree5 Disagree2

Backwards step .
For Kenneth !

Agree5 Disagree5

Goian looks as if he's lost his early season discipline,he should have been sent off again versus st johnstone

Agree4 Disagree5

I live in Dundee and this is well known. Goian has been well under par since returning and he and McCoist are not getting on. Bolton are keen
*****************************

Lmao, i think this would be more well known in Glasgow rather than Scumdee if it were true.

Agree5 Disagree0

This is gathering pace. I rate him as a player. Apart from a dodgy Scottish debut he's a standout for Dundee United.
McCoist obviously see's him and our two present incumbents as his 3 squad Centre Backs. Bring it on! Hope we get him for less than 1.5million

Agree1 Disagree7

Ok i'll believe what you hear in Dundee and how you know what goes on in the rangers training ground in milngavie on a daily basis, goian has got over 40 caps for romania and has played at the highest level all his career yous seem to forget weve only conceded 13 goals this season , fantastic defence, yeah he can be a bit rash but hes a hard defender what you need in the SPL, would you rather have any of celtics catastrophic centre halfs....no thanks!! i would put my mortgage on goian being at rangers in feb, and garry kenneth not signing this is alot of garbage, he is dundee utd level no better and as someone mentioned we have u21 and probably u18 defenders that are better than him

Agree2 Disagree3

Regarding the discipline issue, out discipline and sportmanship has been shameful. Atrocious to say the least and we are up there with Aberdeen for cards this season. Walter was good at keeping the squad in line, Ally right from pre-season to now must have no control or inspiration over them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dicipline for clubs differs from season to season to come on and say its getting worse or its terrible is unjust in my view, goians sending off he got a few weeks back was soft anyway, mccullochs was deserved, but hey it happens no point making a story out of it and saying its something to do with the manager, were still well on course for the league its not as if were miles off so lets just support our gaffer in time of need eh!!

Celtic fan here I heard that Polish striker Paweł Brożek in going to Rangers on loan in next 48 hours from Turkish club Trabzonspor, but I don't think that he is a player that SPL needs.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Why explain

Agree2 Disagree2

Our scouts are to busy looking at yank and oz duds who can't play but might have marketing value.we need a striker to partner jelavic not replace him. I also think funds could be raised by selling Alexander and broadfoot

Agree1 Disagree6

Because he can't play abroad. He played great football in Wisła Kraków 2001-2010 178 apperances and 81 goals but as he moved to Turkey he is sitting on the bench with only 3 goals in 17 apperances. Three goals in one year that is not good enough for SPL. Clubs like Celtic or Rangers should start to buy much better players, if they want to do something in champions league or europa league.

Agree5 Disagree1

Oz duds? Are you referring to McKay the one that has barely even played?

Agree1 Disagree0

Mo Edu didn't play for the first 6 months when he arrived and he had turned into a good player overall.

CJM

Agree3 Disagree2

With those stats he must be as good as Samaras

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah i sure hope not if this is the same guy i am thinking about he is utter crap if he signs for rangers and partners jelavic it will only be jelavic doing all the work thats how bad brozek is

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2012 17:54:38
we need to get a freshness in now. bad news that celtic have signed young nigerian ibrihim cos this boy can really play and at 20 got a sell on value as well.celik would be good but dont see it happening we cant compete with london, wages or epl(poss) think he might pick west ham utd. blueforyou

Believable9 Unbelievable6

West ham have a debt prb also reason why they are chasin a bosman plus we have wages to spare seen as big weir is off and fleck is out on loan well anyway heres hoping! :D (rokh)

Agree4 Disagree5

Do we have any scouts out there honestly

Agree2 Disagree0

All this right back talk is a joke we need a striker end off! an free up more wages by selling broadfoot and I think we can afford to sell Alexander but first things first get a front man who's not Sandaza ffs

Agree1 Disagree2

Aye right, that's why West Ham are looking to buy players at a cost of several millions.

Agree1 Disagree1

No point selling them no value for money, and why would you sell alexander hes a 2nd choice keeper any club dreams of having, better selling mcgregor for big money and making him no 1, you need guys like broadfoot thats what makes a squad my friend! cant have 20 jelavic's in your team! especially on our budgets

Agree2 Disagree4

Celik has already stated that money is not his motivation he wants to find the right club

Agree4 Disagree0

I don't understand why you all slag Sandaza so heavily. He ripped us to bits at Ibrox a few months back and on that day we were lucky to even get a point. He also should good technical ability and quick feet to give Bocanegra a torrid time in Perth at the weekend. He just isn't as bad as you make him out to be.

Rangers close in on Mervan Celik

RANGERS manager Ally McCoist is hoping to push through a deal for Swedish Under-21 star Mervan Celik within the next 48 hours.

The Ibrox club are keen to land the highly-rated youngster and have already tabled a package to entice the 21-year-old to Glasgow.

There are a number of clubs interested in Celik – who is out of contract at GAIS and will cost around £350,000 in compensation – but Rangers are thought to be among the frontrunners at this stage.

McCoist has already told owner Craig Whyte he wants Celik and the money freed up by David Weir quitting the club this week has allowed Rangers to offer impressive terms. Celik's agent, Hassan Cetimkaya, said: "Rangers are definitely on the list for us. Rangers are a big club who fight for trophies every season.

"That is a big thing for Mervamn when it comes to making his decision. We have a few options, but Mervan will make a decision on his future by the weekend."

Meanwhile, John Fleck's proposed four-month loan deal to Blackpool is in the balance today after a hitch.

The youngster spent yesterday at the English Championship club waiting on the paperwork to be completed by the two clubs and is still hoping the deal can be sealed before the end of the week.

Rangers have also been linked with Bosnian international midfielder Semir Stilic.

McCoist will also have to make a decision on Estonian internationalist Enar Jaager and midfielder Jorge Claros.

It's understood the two players made a decent impression during the 3-0 win over St Johnstone in a bounce game with right-back Jaager the more impressive of the two.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

The bosnian lad would be a fantastic signing very creative and has a great free kick give a good bit of quality which we are lacking just now, i dont think we need the hondorun midfielder as we already have mckay, edu, mcculloch and bartley who can all play his position

Agree4 Disagree5

Celik will go to West Ham .

Agree5 Disagree8

Bartley and McCulloch?... You obv a very faithful fan ma man lol.
Dtp89

Agree4 Disagree2

Have been saying for ages we needed a decent right back so hopefully Jaager does well and gets signed up.

Agree3 Disagree2

This 48 hours business is embarrassing, how many 48 hour deals were happening in the summer.

Other than that, we love you Rangers win lose or draw. Mervan Celik would be a good signing and here's to 4 in a row!

Agree3 Disagree3

Lol i know but i just said they can play there if needs be not that i want them to play there, but to be fair bartley done ok when he was put in there i think big solid and ok on the ball, mcculloch is just a dumplin in my opinion

Agree1 Disagree0

The 48 hours is just the deadline for the lad to make up his mind which is fair enough, hes a 21 year old boy goin to UK for his first big move, big decision for him, if he has got any sense he will not go to west ham as he will be forgotten about in 6 months, there a big supported club yes but not going to challenge for anything but mid table prem if they get back up, no where near the size of us. He knowes we're a big european club despite the financial mishaps just now and the dithering SPL. And at the end of the day if he is good enough he will get a move to the prem anyway in a year or 2!

Agree2 Disagree1

Fair enough buddy lol

Dtp89

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with the comment about the 48 hour deadline, as it is the lads future but if he "dithers" too long the chance to put his name in the Rangers history books will be gone!

No marble stircase son you will just be forever blowing bubbles for blowing us oot!

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha i know why i hope he doesnt go to west ham, hopefully hes got a sensible agent/father/team behind him to advise him correctly

To all these Boyd rumors .. Kris Boyd flew out of Glasgow on Monday morning heading for Texas via new York .. Personally big laff has more dig about his game hence he buggered off for more cash and people on here would have him back ... No chance !

Believable7 Unbelievable5

I cant believe any club outwith league 1 or 2 would want him hes rotten!! he had his only chance with a big club with rangers and chose to go elsewhere if i were in his shoes when i was at rangers i would have played for 100quid a week! get lost boydae good luck on your venture for gold

Boyd rumours? were the f**k have you been for the last 2 weeks mate?

the 2 trialists are not being offered deals, they didnt do enough. Celtic had already dropped their interest in Claros before he was shot, hence y they signed Wanyama. Jaager has been skulking about Scandinavian football for years and is decent at best. We wont be signing either of them.

Believable5 Unbelievable15

Not surprised really.who was the last trialist we actually signed? kerkar wasnt it?
drumlad

Agree8 Disagree7

Not done enough, i thought the where here for a full week to be looked at, not just a few days??

Agree9 Disagree3

Well according to andy little they played very well yesterday

Agree13 Disagree3

Aluko was the last trial it's we signed

Agree13 Disagree1

We ain't spending any money, really hope jelavic doesn't go cause Mr tight won't replace him

Agree4 Disagree2

Not surprised really.who was the last trialist we actually signed? kerkar wasnt it?
---------------------------------------
didnt aluko have a trial?????

Agree6 Disagree3

This is just made up being posted after two days of a weeks trial.

Agree2 Disagree0

Some one is telling porkies the two boys have done very well so far

Agree4 Disagree0

Why would celtics interest have any bearing?

Enar Jaager has 86 caps, hes hardly been kicking around, we're short at right back.

think I'll wait for official news before I swallow this

Agree6 Disagree0

Not surprised really.who was the last trialist we actually signed? kerkar wasnt it?
---------------------------------------
didnt aluko have a trial???

----------------------------------------

aluko did have a trial he was here for 4 days before we signed him

Agree2 Disagree1

Really doubt a decision will have been made so quickly, both have shown up well so far according to reports so don't believe this rumour at all.

Agree1 Disagree0

Rite to the last post. Im telling porkies? So u know otherwisre coz sum1 has told you so. Cudnt they be telling porkies? to the post above, i never said they didnt do ok, i said they didnt stand out. They are here for the week but i already know they wont be signed. We'll see who's right at the end of the week.

Agree0 Disagree4

Aye i suppose aluko, what i meant really was trials for unknown quantities! at least with aluko we had an inkling of what he was about!

By Saturday Rangers will have freed up the wages of up the wages of Fleck & Weir. This
in turn will allow them to offer contracts
to Jaager, & Celik.

Rangers will have no more transfer
activity until the last day of the window
when a bid of £200k will be put in for
Sandaza.

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Rangers have no money to make any kind of cash offers!! When will people get real! Aluko had to pay us to come to the club!!

Agree10 Disagree13

You the information regarding Sandazza how? It is my opinion that you are talking sh*te!

Agree4 Disagree4

How much are the wages for fleck and weir?

Agree1 Disagree2

Fleck loan fell through

Agree3 Disagree2

Says yesterday that with fleck n weir leaven its freein up 10k a week on wages ..but celiks been offered a wage of around 7k a week n jaager 5k a week personaly a hink whytes tane mare on than he bargained .. hope is rumour about mccoll taken over is true as whytes just made us worse in everyway noo he's gettin dragged in front the sfa about no declaren his 7 yr ban noo

Agree4 Disagree2

According to the daily record Weir was on 10k a week when he first arrived. Pretty sure fleck will be on a couple of grand a week. Realisticly with no CL football this season and the tax case not being resolved i can't see us spending any money.

Get a few off the wage bill and a few will come in. The original poster is correct.

CJM

Agree3 Disagree1

Seems to be a lack of interest in jellavic with celtic knocking back 6.5m bid.anybody else find this a worry.i bet whyte does as i think thats part of his plan to raise money he would have thought a bid might have been in by now. wait for it:23:55 on deadline night sold with the story of no time to spend the money. any thoughts. blueforyou

Agree10 Disagree5

Weir would be on a reasonable 8k id imagine. And im sure when John Fleck was offered his new deal he was made the highest paid youth player in the SPL think hes on between 3-5k. Dont take this as gospel im just giving a rough guestimate of what would be realistic

Agree3 Disagree2

At a guess id say around 20k Dw15 JF 5k

gazza 72

Agree2 Disagree4

Weir was on 10k, fleck was on 5k, that's 15k, surely get sandaza on 5k, celik on 7k, and hopefully jagger

Agree2 Disagree1

No players in this week....no players in next week...some kind of made up story late on the 31st about a bid to bring a player in or a bid for Jelavic. Explanation on the 1st of February as to how Rangers tried to get several targets in but its a difficult market right now blame everything on the tax case blah blah.

Rangers last wage bill was 17M and has risen by 20% since CW took over at the club. What a genius! He knows the club is spending more than it's bringing in, in fact he has told you that they have a 10M hole to fill and yet the wage bill has increased since he arrived. How does that work? All this transfer talk is nothing more than talk....Rangers wont sign anyone!

Agree5 Disagree2

I'm sure I read somewhere that davie weir was on 14k a week

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Nice 1 hope he signs , just hope when he signs he gets a chance unlike McKay an ect

Agree8 Disagree1

Hope this happens but its unlikely right now

This young guy can play on the right, the left, or through the center and gets among ther goals as well, would do a job for us no problem
