It's on ssn that several English premiership teams and a couple of European teams showing a keen interest in barrie mckay

18 Jan 2017 23:24:38
HITC also stating this but I Figured out ages ago they're always making shite up so doubt it but he is a talented lad with lots of potential so u never know who's sniffing about. It's more believable than if it stated no one was interest ha

19 Jan 2017 07:24:22
I fear we'll lose Mckay before the window shuts

19 Jan 2017 14:08:45
Been a supporter for well over 50yrs and a season ticket holder for the last 20. I gave nearly 6000 shares over to RST when DK was taking over. Seen good times and bad and i have absolutely no faith in this management team whatsoever but if we sell young McKay for anything less than £10 mill then i will seriously consider giving up the ticket and just being a fan as opposed to a supporter.

Do i think he is worth that? no but we are needing to strengthen not weaken our team and selling our best on the cheap is wrong.

19 Jan 2017 10:07:10
Hes potentially a top class player. best Scottish player in League. by a mile. if he buckles down. the Skies the limit

19 Jan 2017 17:45:42
Sorry to burst your bubble gosman but there's no chance anyone would pay £10m for a player from us as we're in a dyer situation were we would need to accept anything

19 Jan 2017 20:10:19
No way should we let McKay go. If we do it pretty much sums up the ampition and commitment that King has to the Club!

19 Jan 2017 20:32:37
Any offer of above £5m for McKay will be snapped up just to keep the club afloat during the summer. It really is that bad, folks.

19 Jan 2017 19:30:07
I don't think as much as every body else I'd sell him for less than ten million if it's the right amount of money the boys good and has touches of brilliance at times but he's not consistent enough Gos missing in games so if he's our
Best young player and the best player at ibrox we r up shjt creak

19 Jan 2017 22:39:04
Gosman my friend, i'm also a massive fan of young barrie mckay and always have been, from the first time i seen him at peterhead playing for us in the old division 3,as a 17 year old boy! What being truthful mate, do you think barrie mckay is worth in the current transfer market (taking into account what teams will pay for a talent like his)? Especially if we can tie him down to a longterm contract!

18 Jan 2017 18:24:37
Falkirk sign Fraser Aird, anyone know of a fee involved?

18 Jan 2017 18:39:24
Apparently had his contract ripped up

18 Jan 2017 18:44:45
Mutually agreed termination of contract so another young talent who has left for nothing.

18 Jan 2017 19:18:24
I think 'young talent' is a bit strong. 'player' would have sufficed. Wages saved that can go towards someone who might actually play!

18 Jan 2017 20:58:07
Aird is 21 if Warburton does not think he is good enough for the first team then he is right to let him go. This is best for the player and the club. Who knows he could either become like Shinnie or he could just flop.

18 Jan 2017 21:08:31
Just not quite good enough at the moment. Its the fairest thing to do as he was out of contract at end of season so releasing him made it easier to get a club. Really nice statment he gave on leaving, a true Ger

18 Jan 2017 21:26:08
Good luck to the lad.

18 Jan 2017 21:55:43
Warburton doesn't seem to think that any of our young talent is good enough! This from the guy that plays Halliday every week!

I wish Aird all the best. I dare say we could have got a fee for him but it doesn't appear to be the way we do things these days.

19 Jan 2017 08:14:22
Do you think we had anyone in Canada or the states to watch him play? No chance! We have no network to speak of, still 2 years on and our infrastructure is a joke!

Aird wasn't a brilliant player the last time I saw him, he was fast, but I bet he has improved and I bet we have no real first hand experience of his time away.

19 Jan 2017 08:41:55
He is away to Falkirk, would they have given us any sort of fee? These players we are letting go aren't worth anything, so we may as well get rid of them while we can.

19 Jan 2017 08:58:23
Would rather see young players aloud to go to other clubs for free if it means they might have a chance of making a better career for themselves than sitting on the bench.

19 Jan 2017 10:31:54
Warburton is yer typical Englishman, under estimating Scottish players whilst thinking English players are the be all and end all hence him going to English lower divisions to sign players because he thinks they're better, must realise by now that's not the case

19 Jan 2017 11:27:18
To be fair, Scottish football is amateur compared with English football these days. Bigger crowds in English 4th Division than some of our "top clubs" and better wages too. Our supposed 3rd best team Aberdeen don't even have a proper training facility . Players like Aird were never good enough, so we rightly let them go. Just because a player is young, does not mean he will turn out good.

19 Jan 2017 13:58:00
Tom Walsh away too. The website says Aird help rangers win league 1 and 2. It was actually the 3rd and 2nd division.

19 Jan 2017 19:10:23
English players seem to have a far superior fitness and physique. Scottish lads are small in build ( not height ) . The have very little strength compared to English lads.

19 Jan 2017 20:49:48
3Rd and 2nd div is league 1 and 2 Albertz then it's the championship

17 Jan 2017 23:51:16
Daily Record sayn we could let O'halloran go to hearts on loan. This just wouldn't make any sense if we give them to hearts on loan.

18 Jan 2017 00:02:04
Give him to hearts a meant lol

18 Jan 2017 00:59:13
Would be ridiculous if true. Why would we loan a player to one of our main rivals for 2nd place? If he goes out on loan it needs to be to a bottom half team. Caley, partick or the like

18 Jan 2017 08:39:50
Nothing surprises me anymore at Rangers! I guess the theory is that he couldn't play against us but could help Hearts defeat Aberdeen etc. Unfortunately that only works if we can be confident that we are going to win all our games and I don't see that happening with our current team!

18 Jan 2017 08:51:25
we are supposed to be after Sam Nicholson from hearts so could this be away of getting the young lad Nicholson to come to rangers we are sweating the deal buy offering them ohallaran if this is not the case then ohallaran should go no where near hearts with the amount of intrest in ohallaran other team must see something in him our club must be in desire straights and king wants wage budget cut if we need to save 2 k on wages

18 Jan 2017 09:19:59
Depends how you look at it. It might be a perfect opportunity for him to show MW what he can do. Playing at Hearts might be the making of him. MW doesn't fancy him, but it might just work to our favour.

18 Jan 2017 09:45:26
Will be exchanged for the boy Nicholson.

18 Jan 2017 10:52:23
Cuillin, if MW doesn't fancy MOH. then why the donald duck did he spend £500k on him?

18 Jan 2017 10:56:43
You better ask him that. He isn't playing him, is he?

18 Jan 2017 12:41:37
He's not playing him because he just hasn't been good enough. 2 and a half good games at Ibrox isn't good enough and he is technically very limited.

18 Jan 2017 12:50:50
Can see the reasons for it and also the reasons against it, however i think we should use MOH as a way of bargaining a good price for Patterson.

18 Jan 2017 16:29:21
I thought Paterson was out for 10 months? I think he is also out of contract in the summer as well. There was talk of Hearts offering him a new deal otherwise he would be without a club when is back from injury and not sure if any club would want to sign him without him proving his fitness, although that hasn't stopped us in the past lol.

18 Jan 2017 17:27:35
We don't need to use MOH as a bargaining tool for Nicholson. He will be at end of contract so we just sign him on a pre contract agreement.
Why would we want Patterson, he is out for 10 months, unless it is to keep Rossiter company!
Warburton is doing his best to follow Weir in losing credibility after the latter concluded that £100m wouldn't buy a team to beat Celtic. He has more attacking midfield players at Rangers these days than any other team in the league yet he is struggling for a goalscorer, he doesn't have a holding / defensive midfield player and he is struggling for two centre backs.

Perhaps our Chairman should spend more time in the UK or is the team that bad that he can't watch them for 90 minutes. Are we really that bad!

18 Jan 2017 22:25:08
this is crazy we should say if u want out on loan then fine but not to a rival give him to motherwell or something.

if he can play against us i'd be scared as our defence is slower than a week in the jail

19 Jan 2017 08:59:32
Tomusa you didn't even watch weirs interview or you would know that he said 100 million does not guarantee success and it doesn't.

19 Jan 2017 11:33:19
Sounds a good plan - the lad never plays because he hasn't cut the mustard. Ship him to Hearts, get him fit and let him play against the other SPFL teams and maybe help take points of them, but he can't play against us - ideal. If he does well, get him back - if not, we have a fit player ready to sell.

19 Jan 2017 15:13:52
I agree MOH isn't really that great technically I would use him as a trade incentive for Patterson if Patterson was on a big deal I'm sure his contract goes out in the summer and he just got a serious injury, may be able to pick him up for free this summer

19 Jan 2017 19:12:28
@ Cee I'm sorry but 100million in Scotland most certainly does guarantee success. Not England but definitely here! Weir is talking out his a*se.
