Miller or Goodwillie is the question that keeps coming up. Miller has proven that he is consistently good during the 2 recent seasons he was at Gers. Goodwillie had one good season and suddenly he is the 'best striker in Scotland' but the stats speak for themselves. 116 Apps 29 Goals. Doesn't sound like a good striker so Cardiff take him.

Well he is playing for dundee utd thats y his goal ratio isnt great and remember hes still young and hasnt started every game. if he came to us he would have more chances to score than he would at dundee utd and would get better playing with better players.

I cant remeber Naismith having that great of a record either and hes now one of our best players

Heard a rumour thought I d mention it here;
Alan Hutton to return for £2.5m unbelieavable if Carlos resigns and with Bougherra, Bartley and Davie Weir, Whittaker and Papac and Shagger we can win Europa League or qualify from Champions League group.
A solid foundation, pace from wing backs Kenny Miller setting up Jelavic and hopefully Estigarriba Weiss or Eagles adding that creative Spark and thats not to mention Davis and Naismiths input.
Chances of us signing those players:
Hutton 30%
Cuellar 70%
Bartley 100% loan
Miller 80%
Estigarriba 30%
Eagles 10%

With all due respect, how the hell would he know if he's signing? Generally its down to the club to make an offer first, and this looks very unlikely due to the fact that he's a bit of a delinquent off the field. So, to summarise, I dowt very much Rangers will follow up their interest in Goodwillie, at this moment in time, regardless of how much the boy wants to sign for us. Seems to me like he's shot himself in the foot, as the old sayin goes

He bought rangers to make money from the club, not spend money on players. tying up those good players that were on the last year of their contract has risen their values and they will be sold on next season.

Craig Whyte has money but one thing we are forgetting is...he is a business man pure and simple, hes not going to spend millions upon millions into a club where he wont see return unless we qualify for the champions league which is where we see the most money. I agree with you about Miller but to gve Cuellar his due's the guy himself was quoted in the media just before Rangers made a formaloffer stating that his advisers made him aware he needed t move to a bigger league if he was to ever have a hope in hell of breaking into the Spain set up and that was the main factor behind him leaving but things obviously didn't pan out that way so you can't really grumble that the guy wanted to represent his country, if someone told you there was a chance you wud get a game for the world champs don't say u wouldn't do the same

Carlos left because spanish internationals said he would need to play in bigger league for to get picked for spain, Miller left for the money.

Carlos Cuellar has not made a decision on his future but Rangers are clear favourites and are the ONLY club to have a bid accepted by Villa.
Estigarriba (wrong speln) IS on Coistys Radar the club have expressed an interest with his Mexican club Monterray enquring about their valuation of the Paraquay player according to my source they have said that many clubs are interested and bids should exceed 2.5m euros (£2.25m) and not £1.5m that I have heard.

The few sites saying hes only on 35k a week so the gaps not as much as 20k more like 7k gers wont offer anything less than 3 year deal which with champions league football and broadfoots nose out of joint looks like somethings on the cards.

Easiest way to stop all the doubters.... conclude a few deals. I appreciate Rangers have a wage structure and don't want to move away from that, but if Carlos is one of the players we really want to land then "show him the money". I don't say we need to match the £40k a week, but at least make it attractive enough, then we'll see whether he really wants to come back or if money is his main driver. The same applies to Kenny Miller, who I would love to see back at Rangers.

dont care what all of you doubters think but just think these players will really benifit from playing in the spl.

santa cruz would score tonnes of goals and would get recognised alot more as a goal scoring threat, i know what everyone is going to say that wages wil be too high, but whyte will stomp up good money for quality players not ok players like danns ect

estigarribia would not be on high wages at the moment and the club dont want top transfer. would effectively rip up the spl and would move on in a few years time and bring rangers a tidy profit.

I read this rumour this morning via Newsnow as well. It said the £18mill also included wages, so I assume that also means signing on fee's. It also quoted Craig Whyte.. but did not quote that figure.

In other words, the poster is correct in what he has read, but whether the article was correct or not is a different story.

Rangers WILL sign a few players before Wednesday as that is the day they need to register for Europe.

I think that ddeadline is only to register for the qualifiers. I think we can register more for the group stages. So no need to panic.
