Have Wigan got any more duds we can sign?

Reminds me of when PLG signed the three players of the one Austrian side. Let's hope one of them turns out to be even half as good as sasa papac

Strong Reports coming out off SWFC this morning that a fee has been agreed with RFC for Stevie May. .
Also DUFC interested in Scott Alan?

Hope its true mate. I think he'd do a terrific job for us. was always impressed with him at st johnstone

Doesn't matter who's in for him Scott Alan going no where this year

18 Jul 2015 13:01:15
Agree- hibs want to win championship, and sadly I think with current squads they will. Selling Allan could cost them that and several million pounds that come with promotion, it would be crazy for them to sell unless player demands move. And he hasn't.

Steve may would be a decent addition and is in a different class to what we have at moment. Although my cousin went to school with him and is adamant may will reject the move, determined to prove himself in England.

Rangers have bidded around £600,000 for Stevie May

You reckon SA will see out his year with Hibs and sign for us then?

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 13:28:59
would not bet aginst allan moving his interview was specially prepared

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 13:48:49
Are you on the hibs board gardner?. no,so if hibs get the money they are after believe me,he will indeed be on the move!!

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 13:57:21
Scott Alan will go where the most money is, if the right money is offered he will leave Hibs. If you believe anything else, that is up to you. Money talks.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 14:18:31
Clearly Gardiner1965 is a Hibs man - all over the Hibs site -

But even he must be wondering why Hibs are bolstering their midfield with new signings?

Beside Hibs board have a reputation of "selling the family silver"

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 14:20:30
If Scott Allan was going to just go where the money is why didn't he sign for rangers last year when they wanted him? Instead of rejecting us to sign for hibs.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 15:06:59
Allan should have been a priority signing after seeing first hand what he could do last season

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 15:29:43
There was never a deal on the table in the 1st place to reject us. my gut is we're going to wait til Jan but if someone comes in for him for the right money then he's off. Hibs are not in a position to knockback big bucks especially as there a championship side and he's a player that's free to talk to clubs in Jan

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 15:41:08
Scott Allen didn't reject Rangers, Mcoist didn't rate him so he wasn't offered a deal.

I know one of Stevie Mays pals who told him that he has heard of rangers interest yesterday but nothing more than that. His preference would be to stay and fight for his place at Sheffield but he might be forced out on loan for a year.

I hope he comes to us though.

I saw May a few times when he was at Hamilton Accies. They were in the league we'e now in at the time and he scored goals for fun. Wee bit pace over 5-10 yards which is what a striker needs. Good acquisition for maybe two seasons then we'll need something better.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 18:09:05
Stevie May was not include in Sheffield Wednesdays 25 man squad for todays game against York

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 14:35:16
Promotion is worth a lot more to Hibs than 400-500k, they may sell Allan for that kind of money but not to us. No chance, it would be absolutely crazy for them to sell star player to main rival.

It doesn't look like May wants to come, even if his club would like shot of him. Would do well if he can be swayed.

I'll be honest, not a massive fan of McCoists management "skills" but I think the reason he never made a move for Allan is because he wanted Macleod to develop in that role, which was a good decision. However, if that's the case then don't sell him at the first opportunity!!

Hi fellow bears, it's reported on BBC Scottish transfer gossip that Dundee Utd are looking to buy Scott Allan. Do you think this might get The Gers interested to also put a bid in? I hope so as I'd like to see this lad in the same team as Danny Wilson as I think they will be future international stars for Scotland. Look how well Scott played against us last year he was such a good driving forward force for Hibs last year.

I hope so mate. he's a big rangers supporter plus he's best pals with andy halliday so he'd jump at the chance but we need to put a bid in first

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 11:22:05
I'll eat my shoes if he signs for dundee utd. Can't see hibs accepting anything less than 750k and I can't see dundee utd making that sort of cash available to Jackie mcnamara. Utd had a 250k bid turned down in january fro hin and didn't come back in with another offer. Paper talk in my opinion.
I'd still love to see the lad in a rangers jersey though. Him and holt in the middle with eustsce or a similar player sitting in behind.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 11:42:01
I think we'll take a risk and sign him in Jan on a pre contract or a cut price in the Jan window. 750-1m would beadness for a player with 1 year left

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 12:48:31
Have to agree, can't see us spending what would be required for hibs to sell.

Whatever price hibs would take from Dundee Celtic feeder club you can double before hibs would sell to us.

I think it would take north of 1mill before hibs would consider it. Doubt we would pay even half of that even though it would weaken our closest rival.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 15:37:57
I'm not even sure Warburton wants him. All the Allan talk is from us and us alone.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 15:51:28
I think you could be right mate

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 16:59:21
no way dundee utd will pay anything like the money that hibs would want they are just appeasing their fans for being celtic nursery team still think we should buy him upset their team and improve ours

I think warburton may see it as wasting valubale transfer kitty when he can get him for nowt in Jan

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he can't get him for nothing until next summer.}

19 Jul 2015 08:04:18
I know but he can agree to sign hin in jan to get him in the summer

Morning bears heard from a few of my South London based friends a young Chelsea player Todd Kane is in rangers sights and they want to keep it under wraps to keep other interested parties from bumping up the asking price . Seen vids of the lad play very fast with vision and a good reading of the game
