Got a mate who used to play with Holt at Hearts, only thing holding Holt back from signing at the moment is the compensation fee hearts are demanding

Believable21 Unbelievable6

19 Jul 2015 23:21:36
Holt will sign and a tribunal will decide the fee.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 01:13:17
We can sign him no matter what hearts say it would just go to a tribunal lol

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 10:57:57
Shouldn't be anything greater than £100,000 given the circumstances of him leaving Hearts to play down south

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 11:25:13
Robbie Nielson stated this publicly about a month ago. hardly insider information

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 12:13:53
Yes, but what happens if the tribunal sets the price higher than we can afford or are willing to play?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 13:55:07
Is this a similar set up to when Telfer left us to join DU? If so I think we would be due Hearts something in the region of £100k

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 14:39:15
hearts want £400k so you will have to pay around £2.5k

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 15:09:46
Hearts want £400,000 Don't think so, if this is true They have no chance I don't think any team would pay that This is no Real Madrid wanting compensation pay hahaha

Rangers are to sign stevie may, both the wigan boys and holt, scott allan is still wanted by warburton and he aims to bring allan to ibrox. Allan however has no desire to stay in scotland much longer and aims to go down south.

19 Jul 2015 15:52:26
Allan is desperate for rangers move he's in the same mindset as his good friend Andy Halliday, it's just whether it can be done now or not

19 Jul 2015 16:04:18
Think Stevie may would do a great job for us. And I desperately hope we get Allan in this window as have seen this guy play a few times and is exactly the type of player we missed last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 16:38:25
I'd love to see allan at ibrox however he has said many a time, his aim is to move to england soon.

19 Jul 2015 16:43:10
Id b delighted with those 5 on top of who we've already signed.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 17:12:22
Have to say I'd be delighted to see all 5 on board, if this is true we are shaping a good hungry young team wtp

Holt will sign eventually. It seems the two Wigan players will as well.

Stevie may doesn't want to come and the Allan story is just that. Hibs won't sell him to us, MW thankfully recognises that he isn't worth breaking the bank for.

Overall I don't think our transfer business has been either what we wanted or what we needed. MW more or less admitted we aren't ready classing next week's game as a pre season one to limit expectations.

Hopefully better coaching and tactics can make up for the lack of quality. We can't be any worse than last season, hibs in my opinion still have a stronger first eleven. Hopefully they will be inconsistent again, otherwise the league will be theirs.

19 Jul 2015 17:36:30
As I've said Allan's not going any wher in this window

19 Jul 2015 17:54:07
How about a swap deal Gardner? We'll take Allan and you guys can take the ever positive and supportive luigi in return lol. ;-)

19 Jul 2015 20:11:26
I would like this to be true and all 5 sign MW hinted why spend 5 mill on a foreigner with swagger when u can get a guy from round the corner cheaper and just as good a player it could be May or Allan, Luigi what makes u think May doesn't want to sign and why r u so down on MW r u being so negative to hide a secret crush on MW or DW

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 00:25:56
Stevie May would be good addition upfront if that happens but I don't get why we would want waghorn all tho!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 07:39:54
Deanobear I think Waghorn would be perfect as a right wing/striker in the front 3 with May through the middle and either MacKay or Temps on the Left

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 10:14:08
I don't think Allan is in any hurry to get back down south he didn't exactly set the heather alight down there.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 11:29:12
May is a fantastic Player - Young and Hungry Player with approx 80 goals in 130 games up here why wouldn't we want him

Does anyone know what's happened to the Eustace deal? From what I've read in the past week that's kinda just gone quiet?

He is proving his fitness

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 10:55:20
I believe he is still training with the first team and is doing a lot of work with the physio as we try assess where he is regarding the injury which kept him on the sidelines in the later stages of last season. I expect him to sign a 1 year deal this coming week

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 11:04:00
I'm sure Mark Warburton said in a Q&A he's still training with us to prove he's fit enough to get a deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 12:54:03
100% still training with us as we assess his fitness .

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 14:09:50
Brilliant, thanks guys, would love to see a more experienced midfielder in controlling the tempo and providing leadership, from what I've heard Derby won a lot of their games with Eustace on the field!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 22:50:32
I think they won 88% of games when he played.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 14:54:32
He is not needed. at least Lee mcculloch had played at the top level ie. Premier league and championsleage.

Any need on the 2 boys from Spurs we were linked with on loan?! Seen that Spurs would prefer Harry Winks to stay in England, but still needing a RB so Fredericks you'd think might be an option?!

Believable3 Unbelievable8

19 Jul 2015 08:01:46
Tavernier from Wigan coming today for talks

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 09:31:55
I don't think MW would sign another RB, even on loan now that apparently a verbal agreement has been reached for Tavernier, a right back that I actually rate, was good for Rotherham and Bristol! Young Sinnamon hasn't been given a first team chance as well, would love to see him get involved this season!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 10:57:25
Don't see those deals happening, Tavernier expected to sign in coming days and Ryan Sinnamon been promoted to first team

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 09:52:33
From the guys we have signed and those that we are in for do we need loan signings we are a big club that should be building our own future not some other clubs I think we are doing fine and taking players on loan as a feeder club gives the impression of a small club how does it make permanent players feel especially the youngsters when someone who see's their future else where comes in takes their position and moves them out the picture especially if that youngster only can see him self playing for one club the team he has supported all his days we seem to be going for youth so stick with that let's forget about loan signings. We have always been the biggest show in town let's act like it and never forget it

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 12:55:25
Tavernier, sinnamon and you also have mcgregor who can play rb

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 13:16:16
Tavernier to be our new rb

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 02:38:41
So, Gary 75, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund etc are somehow 'small' because they've had players on loan? Wake up. Loan deals happen for many, many reasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 02:44:06
Tavernier? Another superstar who's been punted out on loan to about seven teams, including those top clubs Carlisle, Shrewsbury and MK Dons. We're showing signs of desperation when fans are on here singing the praises of guys like this.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 10:34:16
wee-ecky - - I haven't seen or heard anyone talking about ANY superstars being signed. As for desperation, looks to me like we are signing players who, even as loan players have played at a higher level than where we are at , at the moment. They are filling specific positions and if WW philosophy is correct and works, then we are quids in both in improving the team and possible sell on in a year or 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 11:02:07
Settle down! These boys just need to find their roots once Mark Warburton gets his hand on them He will turn them into the best bread ever and we will make plenty dough! 😊

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 11:30:13
Wee-ecky taking players on loan is totally different from sending them on loan we want players to develop for our benefit and if the only stay for a wee bit we make money selling them on so maybe you should wake up but judging by your pessimistic views you will never be happy

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2015 17:19:58
All of the clubs I mentioned have TAKEN players on loan. That's why I used them as an example, Gary 75. And I am happy, I am happy with the new management structure, happy that the club is no longer in the hands of morons, happy I was born, live and will die a Ranger, but none of that makes me daft. Waghorn will be a steal and a player with a decent pedigree, Danny Wilson will do fine and maybe the goalkeeper has prospects. The rest are just that - the rest. Not pessimism, just realism. In 57 years of supporting, working for and writing about Rangers I've sometimes had good reason to be pessimistic, but certainly not now.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Guys, the goalkeeper will turn out to be the best signing of them all. Wes Foderingham is a very good keeper)
