Reports that Warbs is weighing up a move to take Foderingham to Notts Forrest

20 Jul 2017 02:17:48
I said a few days ago we should get Zander Clark from St Johnstone. Just been handed a year deal but St Johnstone would be easy to deal with.

A future Scotland International.

20 Jul 2017 06:24:15
As are Liam Kelly/ Robbie mcCrorie. I believe Alnwick is a better all round keeper than Fods and would easily make the step up. Liam Kelly should be second choice

20 Jul 2017 07:02:55
Although I think fods is a brilliant keeper and would love to keep him, if we get a bid of 3 to 4 million we would be better re investing it in the squad on another key player. Someone of the caliber of Davis and ferguson when he came back in the middle of the park or a 30 goal a season striker

20 Jul 2017 07:42:00
3-4 million for Fod are you insane.

heres what's what- teams know we ain't flush flush, look at Barry leaving for chips.

fod will go for less than 1.5 million if we are lucky

why would we get 3-4 for him, we finished 3rd last year and he didn't keep us in europe?

you can't just say Foster went for 9 million and Fod is half as good so we will get 4 million.

Anyway i do rate him and don't want him to go, the dross infront of him don't help, this is a new season let's see how he does with Alves infront of him

20 Jul 2017 07:54:03
Greyfrair, totally agree with zander Clark great presence and would in my opinion be better than we have right now. Cardiff blue wes is no way brilliant as he is a poor communicator and does not command his area like a brilliant keeper should, has a tendency to create pandemonium amongst our defence. can make the odd decent save though

20 Jul 2017 08:44:06
Punt Fodderingham in a heart beat. I'd say possibly £750k to £1m going by the market down south and any more would be a bonus. Line up McGreggor for a return. We can still get 3 years or so out of him and he's proven to be more than what's required for the league. A bit of certainty wouldn't hurt in this department and pelter would give us that and more plus no 'Settling in period'.

20 Jul 2017 09:38:02
Clubs won't think we are flush yet we have just spent over 7m. I think its more a case of selling players who will not feature at whatever clubs will pay just to get them off the wage bill eg crooks.

Barry was in last year and probably was not going to be a main player this year. Plus he probably wanted to play for warbs as he played his best football for him, at least we didn't stand in his way.

For players like Wes I'd think we will be looking for a certain value or won't sell.

20 Jul 2017 10:20:41
Going by our clubs transfer dealings wes will be sold sumwer between 500k to 800k

20 Jul 2017 10:33:34
Would bite your hand off for a 1M offer for Fod. Tho reckon it will be nearer 700k. Alnwick would step in comfortably and don't think we need another keeper in. Cash would go on Walker or Naismith (rumour just won't go away and he wants to come home similar to Dorrans) .

20 Jul 2017 11:26:45
Alnwick is better than foderingham?

20 Jul 2017 12:49:16
Mate he's not Gers quality-if we ever want to get back to saying that. If we don't aspire then we may as well pack up our case.

A keeper is going to need to be on the money straight away though, which is why I say bring back McGreggor.

20 Jul 2017 14:53:54
All depends on how much their offering and if Ped thinks Ailnwick can step up or has an Keeper lined up fir a decent Transfer Fee. Could see Warbs putting in a late bid just to mess with us so having a Keeper basically just waiting to sign the Contract, having terms etc all sorted out just in case.

20 Jul 2017 14:55:19
Swap MOH for Zander Clark plus cash job done

20 Jul 2017 16:33:52
Foderingham, like most of the team last year - is a bombscare. thinks he can play football. I've actually mnever seen him kick a ball out from his area to a team mate. and his distribution under pressure is shocking. no footwork.

20 Jul 2017 18:10:57
Gods is a decent shot stopper but can't even command the 6 yard box he has no presence Goram and Klos were small for keepers but they had a presence and commanded their area McGregor would be a good replacement and give Kelly and McCrorie a couple o years to develop

20 Jul 2017 19:22:55
I Never said we would get 3 4 million for him, that's what I think our price would be. For team continuity you can't get red of an entire team of 15 and replace and them expect to gel, we need to keep the few that had pass marks. I. e fods miller, Wallace, krancjar before the injury, beer man and tav (if you asked me after a few pints)

20 Jul 2017 19:39:19
i would take mcgregor back in a minuet if he was a free or very very cheap but wuldnt blow my cash on him plus fod was let down by the worst defence I've seen rangers have and that includes our captain waldo who for me lost all of his motivation last year and is soo one sided its unreal.

for me i'd like to see fod given another year with a good defence infront of him but we need a rw and walker ticks all the boxes plays in this league so next to no settling in period and can score aswell as create and i'd like to see a striker that we look at and just know he is gonny score goals this for me now that we have a midfield that fighting for places and a defence that's almost complete is essential marelos looks good but quite small and could get bullied in this league so a big guy with a good head on him is what i'd look for

20 Jul 2017 19:54:17
Lego

Doubt very much St Johnstone can afford MOH wages otherwise I'm sure he would have signed for them already

20 Jul 2017 21:24:48
Decent keepers are like golddust and if I remember correctly the bread man by starterd off by saying he was a future England goalkeeper!
5 mill no less!

Onward and upward

21 Jul 2017 07:23:27
As i said last season. Fods is the worst rangers keeper I have ever seen. I'll drive him to Nottingham. You lot are deluded thinking he is gers class. Think of who we have had? Klos, Goram, Woods, Walker, Dibble and Macgregor. Then we now have Fods. Ever noticed when he let's onein he gives it 9.9 for the cameras! Guys a Dud.

21 Jul 2017 08:42:31
We have a history of good goalkeepers, and even our reserve gks were good. allymaxwell bonnie Ginsberg etc . I don't rate wes foderingham as high as previous reserve keepers as he has no presence cannot command area, and communication skills are zilch. I thought ped would have started rebuilding with a new keeper. wish we kept gills over wes

21 Jul 2017 10:13:37
If Warburton keeps buying his rangers players then get your money on Nottingham to get relegated this season

21 Jul 2017 13:22:54
Bil72

Your dreaming if you think he would go for £5m we will be doing well getting £1m for him very average keeper

21 Jul 2017 17:48:03
Need to play Alnwick in the friendly against Marseille and then we might know if Fod can be transferred that's providing Caixinha wants to sell him.
Notts Forest have just banked 15 million.
If Warbs wants him then he needs to offer a decent fee.
Is that fee 1 million plus a sell on clause?

21 Jul 2017 17:54:31
Lego

MOH on loan to St Johnstone and Zander Clark on loan to Rangers with an option to buy for both clubs at the end of the season, or in the January transfer window.

21 Jul 2017 20:21:52
Dibble. walker. ginzburg. ally maxwell? Are you guys having a giraffe. Fods is the biggest asset we have. he's the only player who could actually hold his head high last season during the nightmare. he's better than Zander Clark. and Alnwicks a good back up. but not in Fods league. Reminds me of the Souness Revolution this. Anyone left over from previous regime being hounded out door. players like Coisty Coops and Stuart Munro looked set for the exit. but ended up playing a big part in our success. Now its happening again. if you're one of Warbs boys, then your time is up at Ibrox.

19 Jul 2017 23:09:18
Sun reporting the loaf wants to take wes foderingham to Forrest! Hope he wants keirnan and Forrester too! Would raise funds for Walker maybe full back!

19 Jul 2017 23:48:49
Bgate I honestly don't think we need to raise funds, it's just that we are not prepared to pay an extra 40-50% of our original bid.
We should stick to our bid of 500k I don't even want us to go to 600k. Why pay 1m for a Player when come near the end of the Transfer Window i'm sure Hearts WILL do business with us as I do not think Budge will let 500k dissappear and keep an unhappy player at the Club for him to sign a pre-contract in Jan OR try to sell in Jan for prob less than 500k. They need the cash and just because we could afford 1m does not mean we pay it. Big difference in fee for only waiting weeks, cash saved can be used for either another Transfer or wages for a loan.

20 Jul 2017 07:40:37
Can anyone clear this up. Just want to know for sure what the compensation rules are for players under 24.

I posted the other day that Hearts would be entitled to £400,000 development fee if walker leaves next summer as when his contract expires on the 1st June 2018 he will still be only be 24. As far as I'm aware clubs are entitled to a fee for players 24 years old and under and a few mates of mine who are Jambos believe this is also the case. If this is true then i can see why Hearts are hanging on to him as there is no point selling for the £600,000 we have offered if they are guaranteed this fee anyway. I'd love to see Walker at Ibrox but if this is the case then it makes our bid look ridiculous.

20 Jul 2017 13:07:21
Its under 23 that rule applies

20 Jul 2017 19:44:35
rule is for under 24 not including as far as i'm aware and if u think we will get him next season your aff your head sum1 from england will offer him massive wages compared to what we offer him and he will be another one that we let go
i personally would pay what they are asking for but that's because i believe in two seasons time we could easily get 4-5 million for him if he players well and that is still good business ad i know you don't want to give hearts money but they would rather keep a player that will score goals and set up goals than have 500,000 and i'd rather have a player that does those things rather than wait and not have that player for the start of this new season

20 Jul 2017 22:18:22
would give the 600k offered with some milestone add ons say 20+goals first season 100k thoughts?

21 Jul 2017 04:31:03
glad to see your following me as blueblood1, happy to have an impact.

mon the gers.

stick together and great things can happen

21 Jul 2017 14:12:56
Can anyone tell me if the buying Club can rip up a Pre-Contract a Player signs 6 months before his Contract is actually up?

19 Jul 2017 15:14:18
Seen Ibrox Noise reporting interest in Jamie Murphy, anyone any clue where that's came from as it's the first i've heard of it. Also, thoughts if it's true?

19 Jul 2017 16:32:50
Cracking player would be a great signing but really can't see him being available

19 Jul 2017 16:39:19
SSN mentioned it couple of days ago us the rotten mob and a couple of championship teams in for him £4M transfer fee was mentioned think its a non starter tbh

19 Jul 2017 17:37:26
Murphy at 4m seems to much imo! If we did have that sort of money left for Transfers especially after bringing in Walker I would be very surprised.
Now that Europe is gone any Transfers do not need to be concluded as quickly as we first thought.
I want to know peoples honest opinion. Not on how much Walker is worth BUT do we think that Budge will really let 500-600k slip through the Clubs fingers? IMO getting Walker Today for 1m or waiting 2-3 weeks and getting him for 40-50% cheaper plus the lad isn't sitting on his ass he'll be 100% match fit when he arrives.
Be interesting to see what kind of business Hearts do over the next 2 weeks? If they do ANY business the chances of us getting Walker for 5-600k looks good.
Opinions. Will Hearts knock back our original bid?
Could and should we go no higher than 500k.
Could we loan them O'halloran with Hearts paying the majority of Wages! Say they pay 65% of a 7k a week Player which is what I've heard he's on! SO that's around £210k, leaving us with around £130k! Don't know if Hearts would/ could or want to meet that? But we could adjust figure for Walker to suit.
Anyways I truly believe that the table will turn and Hearts will come back to table and accept 500k and we SHOULD play the waiting game. Who not only agrees but thinks that we could end up holding the cards over this deal as it could come down to 500k OR LESS :) or absolutely F#@K ALL! for those greedy Tarts.

19 Jul 2017 18:02:33
Brighton have just been promoted to the EPL. can't see it to be honest guys . done well down there he won't be in a hurry to leave

19 Jul 2017 21:20:59
Murphy would do a job for us but if we are unable to match Hearts transfer fee for Walker there is no chance of us getting Murphy- but he would be a quality addition.
A less expensive option would be Cadden from Motherwell and also Walker.

19 Jul 2017 22:57:59
I don't really think it's that we 'can't' match Walkers fee. Its that we shouldn't be paying 1m for a Hearts player within a year of finishing his current contract. McKay left for half a milllion. Walker isn't worth much more than that with a year left.

20 Jul 2017 14:26:21
Well it could be a great signing but do u think Pedro is now doubting the chance to get 3 more in as the kb just keeps happening.

21 Jul 2017 00:57:51
Mika from Sunderland would replace him

21 Jul 2017 04:31:34
Muprhy is cracking, very consistent always running and can deliver a cross

21 Jul 2017 13:23:49
Andy1872

What makes you think Hearts would automatically want MOH?

21 Jul 2017 14:27:18
Remember reading something about the possibility of O'halloran going to Hearts amidst the whole saga of us trying to get Walker and its stuck. I suppose I am just desperate to see Walker arrive AND offload some Players.

19 Jul 2017 09:00:02
Reports saying crooks signed for NTFC for £125k. Surely we should have wanted more for him as we got him for a nominal fee out of contract. I hope widnass commands at least £500k. I am sure if it was them coming to us from these clubs the fees would be far greater than the reverse

19 Jul 2017 10:42:48
£125k for a players we paid half that for who hasn't played a game for us is pretty good going. Recovers his wages and initial fee.

19 Jul 2017 11:18:17
He was out of contract Stuart. That's why he was so cheap.

19 Jul 2017 14:08:12
If we let Crooks go for £125k whoever is running and agreeing fees should be locked up. His market value was at least £250k plus a sell on clause.

19 Jul 2017 14:34:33
£125K is not bad business.

Firstly why would anyone pay more. WE are not going to play him and everyone knows this. We are selling a load of players. Why would they offer more. what's the alternative. Keep him and never play him? Nonsense.

Secondly he was bought for less. He's been injured for most of his time with us and he has done nothing to increase his value with us.

There is no alternative!

19 Jul 2017 15:30:59
Think that whatever we think a Player's value is even after taking everything into consideration at our Club we will get shafted big time on any/ all Transfer Fee's. I and prob most think that we could possibly get 400-500k for Windass when in fact we'll prob get something between 250-350k.
Thinking that Players like Dodoo O'halloran would be best to loan out rather than take a 60-70% hit on the Fee we paid for them. Both Players imo could kick on given a chance but they won't get that at Ibrox especially Dodoo due to Signings brought in, in his position although Pedro may be looking at BOTH as Wingers? As when I look at the Sqaud we only have 2 Wingers in Dalcio + Candieas. After Forester goes we are very lean in those areas, Wags has played there but I hope Pedro doesn't do that and he's off again we'll prob not get 4-500k prob 2-300k. As with Dodoo, he played the Wing but imo best to offload and insteas of accepting 125-200k loan him and he as with O'halloran could do really well and get the Club we loan him too AND Teams in that particular League? Anyways if all go Wags Dodoo Forester and O'halloran, Loaned or not then it does leave us with only TWO Wingers or I'm I wrong?

19 Jul 2017 19:35:16
FFS, even forest gump would realise that a players value is what someone is prepared to pay!

Jeez I do wonder about some of our fans on here!

19 Jul 2017 19:45:59
Fd what do you mean his market value is £250k? We paid a small fee for him and Windass. Crooks hasn't played for us all season and is obviously not in the managers plans. We want him off the wage bill so £150k recoups what we paid for him and his wages (or there abouts) .

In regards to Windass if we get £500k for him I'll be shocked. The guy is so far out of his depth here. Yes he's a powerful runner etc but can anyone honestly say they see him playing at a decent standard in say 2 or 3 years time? By decent standard I mean mid table English championship level or above? I go home and away to watch rangers and I can't see it.

In regards to Forrester, Waghorn, Kiernan, MOH etc. If we were offered anywhere near £250k for each we should bite their hand off. If not they will sit in the stands and take a wage for nothing.

20 Jul 2017 14:17:28
just need to get the numbers down as we can't afford it right now.

we need to free money up to buy walker and if we miss out on him i think we will have missed a trick. if the only way we get him is for 1 mill then i'd pay that as when he is a free agent english championship teams will pay treble the wages we would offer and that will be that but if we sign him and he does well then we could command a good fee for the lad still good business if u ask me
