Talk Sport stating that the Joe Aribo deal is all but done and will be completed before Rangers head off to Portugal for their training camp. �20,000 per week apparently. It's going to be a crowded midfield next season unless we offload people.

We will hopefully offload a minimum of holt dorrans and rossiter ( who i like btw) but don't think its going to happen for him. We only play 3 in middle and as far as am concerned aribo jack kamara arfield davis mccrorie would be my top 6 mids.

Across the board the midfield has plenty of different options, whether Gerrard goes with a more defensive set up with Davis Kamara Jack or wants to go for it with aribo Arfield Kent ojo, he has that now which we lacked previously.

Bryan how can he play with Kent? As he isn�t signed for us again not saying he won�t but you can use him until he does.

Aye I suppose you're right, I've no idea if he will or won't, but my point remains the same, we have several options as to the way we set up on a match day, you can't complain about that, this time 3 seasons ago we were struggling to find 3.

my point is that Kent and Ojo could play in a 5 or 4 in midfield. Kent has played on the left hand side of midfield plenty of times this season with Morelos up top himself. Ojo can and has played either side of a middle 4 for Charlton. Calm your smalls a wee bit shagger.

gmartin - I have asked that same question a few times. DR says that it is a done deal. If that is so then it should be out there. Just wish we could be updated. Of all the 'signings' this summer Aribo is the one that excites me the most.

Believe it or not the newspaper are not the ones who finalise transfer signings. It�s the clubs and their agents. Have a bit of patience people.

BLUE89 don't be so naive. The media are heavily involved from the start. They decide where a player goes and for how much, they sometimes know before the player and club involved that's how good they are. When the deal is done the chief sport editor then has to ratify it before the player can sign, at that point the media can write a story. The player and club find out if the deal is successful the following day when they buy the paper. In recent years they have asked Jackie Macnamara for advice on some big money deals and when he is away with the United Nations then Chris Sutton is called in, although he is getting hard to get a hold of when he's working at GCHQ. When all that fails and the deal is 10 mill plus then the red phone is picked up at great expense to access the deal maker and breaker Mr Tom English. Who New!
