Rumoured Miller to be announced tomorrow. 2 weeks diligence, newco to be formed and gers to apply for SFL membership. Already heard that the chipmunks at the SFA are gobsmacked and panicking, Doncaster not happy. Urgent meeting between Spl and SFA tomorrow. As stated its a rumour, we shall see tomorrow I suppose.

Herald Wednesday.

Agree0 Disagree0

You were doing well until spl panacking, they dont give a feck and niether does anyome else. rangers are NOTHING !!

Agree0 Disagree0

"RANGERS ARE NOTHING!" where have you been for the past 140 years?

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont know but I know where RANGERS will be for the NEXT 140+ years........extinct

Agree0 Disagree0

I REALLY hope it won't be Miller. Let's face it, he's not coming for the sport.

Reading some scary things about his past dealings too.

Bears beware!

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely if Miller is the man to get the keys why why has he not been in Ibrox, you would think with all the press cover on the amount hes put up compared to BKs that you would have a look at what your buying and what of the 84.5% that CW has is he going to give it up or see what he can get for a POUND= 3M ?? i think this will drag on well into next season!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Are the assuming Rangers fans will support this new team/company. Do they take us for mugs ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ironically, you show how big Rangers are spending your free time (if you actually work) on a Rangers blog. I can assure you "selik" with the new Celtic (correct pronunciation) band or "artwork" round their club badge do not find me spending my spare time on theirs!
The very fact that our plight as a Club obsesses you and your ilk really does tell anyone reading this blog just how big Glasgow Rangers actually are, there are sometimes more posts from you lot than Rangers fans on most threads!

Agree0 Disagree0

Healthy debate as usual from the dark side!

why is it always 'tomorrow' or 'this week', or 'coming soon' - - we've been hearing this BS for months FFS!

i will go to the game tonight, sing my heart out, (& before the nightcrawlers come on - NOTHING sectarian)
& wait to see what ACTUALLY happens - too many unknowns EVEN NOW

Agree0 Disagree0

Mostly on edmiston drive g51 ,do you have a computer ? try google maps its really good you can zoom in too and see the trophys doug

Agree0 Disagree0

Scottish football is bad enough, without rangers Scottish football is extinct! Do you think the Celtic players will be happy playing for nothing once they have won the league by Xmas!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wait and see, I stil think TBK-BK will be preferred, and I will be surprised if BM's bid is the best return for the creditors.

Squeeky bum time.

Agree0 Disagree0

The administrator is using Miller like the boogy man to get TBK-CW-HMRC to do a deal under a CVA.
They have no intentions of preferring his bid and then accepting it, its a bluff or a threat to the real players in this game of high stakes poker.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wont be supporting the new club. Just because they will buy the rangers assets doesn't make them the team I supported. What is the point of supporting a new company owned by an American, what's that got to do any any of us, any of our childhoods, out community. This is a joke. It's RFC debt free or nowt.

Agree0 Disagree0

P.S. If they try and start a new co we need to do what the did in Manchester and Wimbledon, start up the real rangers, a local team run by local businessmen. The new co idea is nothing buy profiteering or glory hunting.

Agree0 Disagree0

With all this carry on and them saying they need Rangers for the SKY income I think even if you survive and stay in the SPL, Sky will come in and offer peanuts for their new deal as they will think the SPL desperate for money, so basically you have screwed the whole of scottish football. I think its time Hector,SPL and SFA come in and shut you down for good before you do anymore damage.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good news. looking forward to going to coatbridge next season to show them what's what! Best solution all in all and gives us some level of integrity. SPL may be improved by the time we get back which would be good for fitbaw IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like this post is true, septic better be prepared to scale down there squad,if its the sfl its the sfl, glad to be away from spl

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen there is to many people against glasgow rangers for them to survive, weve got rat bag whyte no wanting to hand over worthless shares, spl trying to make up rules as they go along, hmrc dragging the btc out so it wrecks any deal being done, its a shambles

Agree0 Disagree0

Bill Miller pulling out looks like it's the BK

Agree0 Disagree0

If I had a pound for everytime I heard something would happen "tomorrow" I'd have enough to buy Rangers and wipe out the debt myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don's fan here (again).

Rightly or wrongly this might be the kick up the backside that Scottish Football has needed for a long time.

While I have no desire to see either Rangers or Celtic leave/fold/depart, the chance for a.n. other club to have a shot at champions league football surely cannot be a bad thing.

While I doubt that Motherwell have the squad to make it through to the group stages, the distribution of wealth they will get from even the early stages, cannot be discounted.

And while the 'chase' for the ellusive Champions League trophy has no doubt clouded SDM's thinking over the last 20 years, the spending of huge sums on this has been at best foolhardy and as we've seen at worst, downright stupid.

If we take an example, APOEL Nicosia, reached the quarter finals of the champions league, with a squad largely comprised of largely home grown talent (yes, they've got a couple of Brazilians), but, fundamentally a homegrown team.

Are we saying that Rangers could not achieve the same with a team based of mostly Scottish players. Rather than spending millions on Foreign players, (tore andre flo, etc.), both Rangers and Celtic should be investing in the cream of Scottish players. If these aren't good enough to make inroads into the champions league, then just accept it and move along.

if they are, even better for the scottish national team.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Ironically you show how big rangers are" you then go on to say there are sometimes more posts from "you lot than rangers fans"......eh that makes sense!! It is fact that "we lot" never sat on our backsides and watched our club go to the wall, we understood the seriousness of the situation back in 94 and acted accordingly and supported the club by buying up in the share options. You and your like on the otherhand have spent the last 4 years at least burying your head in the sand and refused to support your club when it was needed most!! Maybe you should have spent some time on Celtic blogs and you could have learned how to support your club properly!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wonder if Duff and Co have anything to do with the DFS sales. They NEVER end!

Agree0 Disagree0

"...glad to be away from the SPL."
So you'll knock back promotion if you win the 1st Division?

duff and duffer hell bent on giving preffered status to bill miller, this seemed to be there choice all along, so why take so bloody long? answer= more time means more money for these incompetent clowns. we should have hounded them out long ago!!!!

Believable30 Unbelievable19

Yeah good luck hounding them out. It's not easy to change administrators. It's not the same as changing what post office you cash your giro at. Maybe march down to D&P office if your not happy at their performance?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said enough is enough

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know what it is with some of you. Any administrators would have taken this long regardless of the company bought in. Becuase the BTC is not decided yet, nobody can progress with any final takeover. TBK's especially. Even the BM bid is dependant on decisions not yet taken. Just because someone is made preferential bidder does not mean the Admins will leave, just means they get exclusivity to the clubs information and books to finalise the deal. D&P have done  no more  or  no less than has been expected of them. Motherwell spent 2 years  in admin from 2002 to 2004, good job your not in that scenario.

Agree0 Disagree0

If tbk and bm have rangers at heart why dont they join together got to be more money for our beloved club

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly you need to get a grip, there hell bent on giving him control, they would have done this weeks ago if this was the case, and i suppose you have inside information or perhaps you are a fly on D & P's wall are you?

enough said

Agree0 Disagree0

Then why didn't you hound them out long ago?

Agree0 Disagree0

Or maybe hounded our SDM 10 years ago

Agree0 Disagree0

If Paul Murray would stop putting stupid kidding himself on bids in we would have been sold weeks ago he is just prolonging the agony as he was told days ago "put up or shut up " well he has not put up so should shut up

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would they join forces. Put in same amount of money for less of the business? And bill Murray knows nothing of rangers. Not the Glasgow type anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Miller was found by Whytes mate Ellis.
Whyte Ellis and Dave King are the current Directors of the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Then why have duff and duffer told lies about everything the blue knights want to do? the last one was thet they were prepared to start a newco as well= pure lies, when are some of you thickos going to realise that d&p are doing excactly what whyte wants, by making sure the blue knights get nowhere near us!! smell the coffee for god sake.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't be hard on D&P. They have kept Rangers going for the last few weeks when all seemed doomed.

Miller still has to get past HMRC, who won't want to see assets sold to a newco too cheaply.

Agree0 Disagree0

There are A few Rangers fans intent on defelecting all blame away from their club, and onto the shoulders of everybody but their granny.

SDM, CW, the previous board, the fans and Ally, all must share some blame for the potential liquidation of Rangers.

Nothing to do with D&P, TBK, SPL or SFA.

Suck it up and move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

These CW-D&P conspiracy theories are growing arms and legs as each week passes, by the end of administration( if it ever ends), they will turn out to be the Illuminati for goodness sake.

The Blue Knights are actually The Knights Templar.

Bill Miller is really David Icke and Rangers are being taking over by alien lizards who are related to the Queen, so not all the history will be lost.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why ally? Why fans? Why should we take blame?.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why Ally? Im sure wee Sally was EBT'ed out his nut during his years sitting next to Sir Cardigan of Dignity. Thats why.

The fans should also be blamed....by association. I didnt hear too many of you ask any questions when Minty was paying 12 million for Tore Andre FloJo...

All the chickens are coming home to roost so suck it up bears. {Ed022's Note -

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally was to blame for the on-park failure of the unaffordable team in Europe in 2011, it was the 10 million pound falling domino that knocked over all the dominos.

The fans were offered a share issue by SDM and pretended to be tying their shoe laces. Even when it was common knowledge that SDM was drowning under a sea of debt there were many gers fans complaining about the lack of big signings, it was as if Rangers were too big to fail.

They were wrong, the Rangers business model was always flawed but nobody cared as long as they out spent Cetlic.

If there is one thing that sums up the spending lunacy of RFC it is their reserve GK. 12K per week on a 3 year deal and played 20 games, do the math, he was on a thousand pound a minute, and the fans moan about the cost of D&P ?

Outwith Celtic, the first team GK in the SPL is on 4-5k per week max, Rangers can seemingly afford to pay 3 times more for a reserve GK than the bulk of the oppositions first team GK.

Financial suicide.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

So fans fault for wanting success. Ally fielded same team as previous seasons but lost a qualifier. No Scottish team has won a c league qualifier since 2009. And as for Ebt all employees were on them as I'm sure they were advised they were above board . The financial experts at club may be responsible for that but the asst manager? So no we fans not to blame. Ally not to blame. Try again.

This is more speculation than rumour (I'm not one the bhoys claiming to have a brother whose girlfriends uncle services John Greggs car and over a cup of coffee told him everything) ;)

Anyway, I've been worrying about the SPL's decision to postpone until next week - they had the requisite numbers there to pass the resolutions, or not, and I'm unconvinced about Doncasters excuses - Shouldn't rush into this etc.., We need more clarification.. It's not difficult to understand what is proposed, even for the halfwits on the SPL board.

The conspiracy theory is this; a Ranger's re entry into the SPL is being made conditional upon them voting with the smaller clubs to change the TV/League money allocation. If Rangers restart in SFL3, they can get the 11-1 majority that way without Rangers, only Celtic voting against. But they want the OF tv money appeal AND get a bigger cut.

Doncasters "in principle a Rangers newco can re join SPL" is probably true as long as the administrators/new owners play ball with the little SPLers financial demands.

The SPL has time on it's side, we don't, Doncaster said they may not even decide next week, depends on the "Ibrox developments".

So SPL won't provide clarity, that BM requires at least, until they get 'sorted' financialy.

All just an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory I'm afraid, not a fan of the SPL board, think they are quite happy to profit (their teams at any rate) anyway they can from the current situation.

Oh and of course, WATP!

Believable17 Unbelievable13

Actually quite believable. The 'delay our decision so as to not prejudice the bids for Rangers' excuse doesn't wash given that at least one of those bids is being prejudiced by the SPL not making a decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why did the rangers representive also agree to the delay?

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be rite mate doncaster knows that a lot of spl clubs need sky to survive no rangers no old firm no sky

Agree0 Disagree0

The two of you sound like a couple of paranoid Celtic fans

Lee

Agree0 Disagree0

As was a few days back: the march on Hampden made this happen. What else did you expect ?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Rangers fans now have the right to be crowned Kings of paranoia... Remember lads just cause your paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you!

Agree0 Disagree0

I honestly think it's more to do with letting the situation at Ibrox come to a conclusion rather than going and exploding things like they did last week with the announcement of the transfer ban and fine. I think the SFA have softened their stance visibly after they've seen the threat of away game boycotts and sponsor boycotts - they'll also realise that the SPL without Rangers is good for nobody. That's why I think they're prepared to work together a bit now.

Agree0 Disagree0

GREGGS car? you guys are priceless! greatest ever ranger and you get his name wrong!............green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

"Why did the rangers representive also agree to the delay?"

Rangers representative would be from D&P. If he 'forced' the vote on TV money allocations and it was not passed, minor clubs would not support Rangers re entry to SPL (could go thru next year without Rangers).

D&P would have to agree to adjourn to take advice from creditors,BM,TBK etc a no re entry would effect value so D&P could not act on their own, need broad agreement from other parties on how to proceed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic should resign from SPL and drop to Div3 with Rangers that would show them up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Everybody's trying to be fly, why not Doncaster. Over playing the ease of which Rangers can re-enter with a NewCo. This decision isn't Doncasters. Simple as that.
He's trying to con D&P and Miller into agreement and start the NewCo, then watch the SPL move in their interest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't the diddy teams not care about jobs in the game? Taking a very large slice of the Celtic Rangers TV cake. Because nobody watches the other teams and giving it to the 10 will impact on jobs at Ibrox and Parkhead, just to pay Chairmanship bonuses at diddy low attendance failing clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doncaster lied about newco,s and alex thomson has contacted Uefa Charlton Plymouth and SPL to confirm Doncaster lied.Should be interesting to see what punishments are gave out now Uefa are involved and the SPL are trying the old pals act again?

Agree0 Disagree0

To the moron who called non OF supporters. 'supporters of diddy teams'- this is a perfect example of why we hope you get humped by the SPL,SFA and HMRC. Our clubs may not be as big as yours but we're still going to exist next season, can you guarantee that your cheating Rangers will?

Agree0 Disagree0

...."OF supporters. 'supporters of diddy teams'- this is a perfect"....

I wouldn't get to hung up on this. Although it's a Rangers rumours site, I think less than 50% of posts claiming to be fans are actually from Rangers fans.

I don't know why they do it, but the 'diddey teams' is intended to be provactive, the "don't they care about about jobs at RFC, CFC?" seems abit tongue in cheek, it's obvious they don't give a damn, why should they? ;)

More likely than not, someone's having a wee chuckle about the idiocy of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

darrell king saying that bill miller will win control of rangers, possibly as early as tonight, at which point his plan is to liquidate the club. also says that the administrators have racked up a bill of over £2m and counting.

Believable32 Unbelievable13

Darrell King is an idiot. always has been and throughout all of this, he has said nothing that has come to fruition.

I have sources which I trust more than him, and I am not saying they are "spot on", but I believe them more than this clown.

TBK and Kennedy will get preferred bidder.

Agree0 Disagree0

SOURCE? I just had a quick google can not see anything on this?

Agree0 Disagree0

And when did he say this and where? Or is this from the Twilight Zone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the new chicago reserve bears

Agree0 Disagree0

...then he'll walk away in 2 weeks time....what then?

Agree0 Disagree0

So that's it then. 3rd division here we come, what are the pies like in Elgin?

Agree0 Disagree0

He said it on clyde listen to the repeat on itunes

Agree0 Disagree0

Darrell King's position on matters regarding Rangers has been somewhat inconsistent and also misguided. Remember this was the guy who broke the story about dual contracts and insisted he'd seen them - only to retract this statement at a later date. He's merely guessing as he is NOT as privvy to the goings on as he would like to be...............

Agree0 Disagree0

D&P have been doing somersaults to avoid the BM bid, to the extent that I am starting to believe it is just an auctioneers plant to drive up the price.

If the bid was acceptable to D&P then they would have preferred it weeks ago.

It obviously isn't the best deal for all creditors.

Agree0 Disagree0

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if D&P gave BM preferred bidder. He has put everything out above board and will invest in the club over the next few years.
TBK haven't said nearly enough regards funding for my liking. D&P won't give them preferred bidder status and we end up back in administration again when TBK run out of money (if they get control that is)

Agree0 Disagree0

To above post, TBK is a consortium involving several wealthy fans and business men such as B Kennedy and D Park, they will not run out of money they will simply make sure the club runs within its means and pays our debts over time, which is exactly what Rangers football club needs. I believe them and believe they want whats best for us. Bill Miller may invest more money yes but not with the club as we know it just now, and i think its unfair to prejudge them when to be honest its not there fault the whole situation is one big legal wrangle, its not that simple for D & P just to say ok youve bid here you go heres the keys to the front door.

I am optimistic we will survive but every Rangers fan must understand, next season especially we will be struggling for second place, totally worth it for the club to survive and prosper in the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

No doubt Rangers will survive. SFA/SPL will have to come to some agreement with new owner, although they won't call it an agreement, more the usual "...taking account of the special and unique circumstances...etc etc etc " when applying sanctions.

In short, the SPL wants Rangers money but not their success.

Agree0 Disagree0

D Park and wealthy in the same sentence, somebody needs to have a look at the Park groups accounts. It's all fantasy money like David Murray's was, he owe's RBS almost as much as MIH!

Agree0 Disagree0

I too agree Rangers will survive but I think it will take them longer to recover, there are new penalties on the way for the EBT scam, and they will inolve more Europe bans, more point deductions and more financial deductions from prize money.

Add this to the plain reality that Rangers found it very difficult to downsize and remain competitive.

No more 15-20 k per week players for some time to come, a squad of 5-10k per week players is more realistic.

If Rangers lift any silverware in the next 4 to 5 years I will be pleasantly surprised.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hectors this is all taking too long...My bet with the bookies is that you fold before the 31st May 2012....Can you just get on with it....My beer money for Blackpool depends on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Darrell King is a moron. if he told me Tuesday followed Monday, i would go check a calander. The guy is an angry wee hack who cant bear to see his beloved raaaanjjuurrs fall to pieces. I wouldnt believe a word that came out his gub.

Blue Knight deny 'Newco'
A statement from Kennedy's spokesman read: "Following inaccurate media reports, the Blue Knights/Brian Kennedy consortium wishes to clarify its position.

"Firstly, on Saturday evening 28 April 2012, we submitted a materially increased offer which will be confirmed by the administrators, Duff & Phelps.

"Secondly, and for the avoidance of doubt, our offer is conditional on a CVA and the delivery of Craig Whyte's shares.

Believable22 Unbelievable20

That's not a denial of newco, just confirms what we already knew.

Agree0 Disagree0

And the merry-go-round goes...either you want it or not ...either miller wants it or not, someone take it....as every day that goes by so does much needed cash

Agree0 Disagree0

So let me get this straight. TBK bid is  conditional on delivery of a CVA. This is dependant on  both HMRC and ticketus. Does that mean TBK are dealing with this issue? Or are D&P  negotiating on their  behalf.  Secondly are they then talking to CW? To me it sounds like they are expecting the club to be delivered to them by D&P. For D&P's part they may see this as too much to achieve in the time the club has left with its current working capital and the easiest solution would be to go with BM bid as it is less conditional and does not require the buying in of CW or Ticketus.

Agree0 Disagree0

It being conditional on the CVA is what you would expect, nobody is interested in buying Rangers to inherit 30-70m+ of debt, the BM figure of 11.2million seems to be ballpark for the creditors according to D&P. So that could go thru.

TBK and BK want to do CVA (no newco) only stumbling block is CW shares. If CW won't hand over shares D&P can sell of the assets to a newco as they are acting for creditors not the 'owner' - CW would be left with nothing.

So whether we get a newco or not is up to CW. - If he hands over shares, no newco, and he gets nothing, or the acrimonious path sell the assets to TBK,BK or BM and we have a newco. Either way CW gets ~nothing.

TBK&BK are planing for CVA, holding back on liquidation/newco as last resort.

Agree0 Disagree0

So your offer is pointless, and will cost rangers more in nuffin helps fees before you withdraw. are you working for whytey ????

Agree0 Disagree0

Meaningless bid.....be as well as offering 2 bottles of irn bru. Shares are CW's and ticketus already say no CVA - nevermind bringing HMRC into account.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and also, the condtional on a CVA bit, TBK and BK are reserving their right to reduce the offer, if the only way to get it off CW is thru a liquidation/asset sale, should he force that route.

Agree0 Disagree0

Circa 12million is not a meaningless bid! Ibrox on the books at 109million, to site developer/tescos only ~20million(? perhaps less). Debenture holders as secured creditors get first 7million.

Which leaves ~13million so 11.2m is ballpark and more certain (quicker, less risky) than other routes.

New owners would honour Debenture holders rights so no need to pay out. Why would anyone in their right mind offer more than they have to?

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe their may be a shortfall in the agreement with Ticketus, it may be the brokerage fee owed to CW. He may want this for his shares.

I don't think it is huge but they are now playing hardball, the consortium wants CW to hand over the shares for free as a symbol of surrender and asa point of principle. The alternative newco plan is an obvious threat to both HMRC and CW that they will get nothing if they do not agree to the CVA share sale.

I think CW will agree to recover som of his reputatio and then all eyes will be on HMRC.

They will agree to the CVA, if they don't, they will be blamed for ruining Rangers for NOTHING, a refusal only hurts the tax payer and the creditors, it does not hurt CW.

Anorak...the end game is upon us, finally.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just wondering and someone will put me right of course, but if the BTC goes Hectors way can they seize Rangers assets i.e. Ibrox, Murray Park and the Car Park

Agree0 Disagree0

Only secured creditors will get paid from assets 30 MILL OWNER? 7.7 mil debenture scheme staff ? then anything left goes to HMRC TICKETUS not be a lot

Agree0 Disagree0

"Only secured creditors will get paid from assets 30 MILL OWNER? 7.7 mil debenture scheme staff ? then anything left goes to HMRC TICKETUS not be a lot"

Yes think you are right, staff are still preferred creditors (HMRC used to be but now not) so will be paid out in full. Any idea of 2 months Rangers wage bill for players? (reduced to 25% during administration, 75% owing)

Agree0 Disagree0

With all the talk of who gets what and Craig Whytes shares...Whyte has put nothing into the club..nada...zip....nought he paid 1 for the club paid off bank debt by shuffling clubs assets never used any of his money if indeed he's got any.. now HE is a preferred creditor as has been rightly pointed out..which could net him 30m or so if things go tits up and the club is liquidated..so do you think for one moment that a man who has spent NOTHING and could make approx 30M is going to hand over his shares to TBK's just so they can take the reigns I DON'T THINK SO....Whyte is a shroud business man who can see signs through the misery of RFC

Agree0 Disagree0

The 26.7-30 million floating charge held by CW over the assets is his Ticketus guarantee, iin effect Ticketus are a secured creditor. A liquidation sale of the assets must raise in excess of 36-40 million before an ordinary creditor sees a penny.

I do not think Ibrox and MP are worth more than 25 million in a firesale. This is the reason the administrators are jumping through hoops to get a CVA bid of effectively 45-48 million, its their job to get as much as possible for all creditors.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know what the issue are with this bid.

1. Of course it is conditional on a CVA being agreed, once they have preferred bidder status they are allowed to enter into discussions regarding a CVA with creditors.

2. The second so called "condition" is IMO ridiculous, you can't buy Rangers without the shares can you? So of course the purchase is conditional on acquiring CW shareholding.

This is where d&P have IMO been shown up for the fools they are; they should have started legal proceedings on day 1 to acquire CW shares.

Agree0 Disagree0

".so do you think for one moment that a man who has spent NOTHING and could make approx 30M is going to hand over his shares to TBK's just so they can take the reigns"
--

I disagree, IMO as long as CW is not chased by Ticketus for any money they lose in the process (CW personally guaranteed the loan) then he will not want anywhere near the figure you have quoted.

Agree0 Disagree0

CW will not make 30 million from his floating charge, you can not hold a floating charge without a debt.

He owes Ticketus 30 million, his shares are worth nothing and his floating charge is worth nothing to him personally.

McCoist says preferred bidder will be announced this week. BBC News

Believable20 Unbelievable33

Somebody says it every week/day

Agree0 Disagree0

Mc Coist says he hopes preferred bidder named this week pal but don't hold your breath

Agree0 Disagree0

I think things will start moving  now that STV is reporting the following  "SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster has given a strong hint he would be amenable to a newco Rangers joining the competition." saying that, who knows...

Agree0 Disagree0

Ground Hog Day...Catweazle-talkingbone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Says he's been told by D&P in same interview that both bids are now Newco, but he hopes without liquidation attached to either.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is getting soooo tedious - and I'm a Rangers fan! I hope it gets sorted out one way or the other, because I'm sick of reading about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think they are stringing us along till the end of the season. This is now beyond a joke. No one seems to have the fans best interest at heart, no one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Says he's been told by D&P in same interview that both bids are now Newco, but he hopes without liquidation attached to either.

Rubbish, only way Newco can be formed is if Oldco doesn't exist. Illegal to close one company and start as another with same name, staff, business premises, etc. oh and without previous debt, Believe me this is all working out the way Whyte planned!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccoist says greggs pies are superb as well.believe one more than the other !!

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist just sez what D&P tell him to say and D&P just say what CW tells them to say and the thing is, nobodys saying anything worth listening to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Both Ally and TBK-BK have dropped the hint that they have a back up plan should either HMRC block the CVA or CW ask for more than a 1. It seems we are getting down to the nitty gritty in this chess game, D&P are acting as arbitor-go between encouraging all parties to compromise, and are slowly pulling them closer together.
We will now see if either HMRC or CW will respond to this public challenge, the consortium have effctively placed the responsibility on both HMRC and CW for the history of Rangers. They have made the best bid for the creditors under a CVA and should this fail due to either party then they will be held culpable.

Its a game of high stakes poker and the consortium have just gone all-in, do both call their bluff ( potential newco) or fold and cut their losses.

I believe they will both fold, they have nothing to gain but everything to lose. In effect the alernative newco is a threat, as both HMRC and CW would get nothing out of a newco, and publicly blamed for ruining Rangers.

Big business is not for the faint hearted, its gloves off time as time is running out.

Money men tell managers and players F' all. They are just the workies. Mcoist should go back to greggs and get another steak bake and shut his mouth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Money men use managers to achieve a comon goal, both parties want to save Rangers history.

I am surprised you culdn't work this out for yourself.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anorak - I was thinking the exact same as your posting. Even the 'delay' agreed by the SPL clubs yesterday adds to the pressure on Whyte and main creditors. In essence Neil Doncaster's comments coupled with earlier DP comments that a 'newco' could be in place for 11 May (2 days before the season ends) serves to further lay down the gauntlet to these guys. From a fans point of view we'd no doubt love a cva route to be accepted with Whyte dissappearing at the same time, however if it has to be a 'newco' we'd also accept it as a last resort. TBK's and Brian kennedy know this and know that others will be held responsible for blocking the cva route..............Great post - well done......

To Anorak
Whilst CW may not wish to be seen to be the one folding Rangers, HMRC could not give a fudge. They are under increasing pressure to ensure they deliver on tax avoidance and could be all out to take Rangers to the cleaners. What  better way  to demonstrate to there masters at number 11 than by a very public spectacle of getting money thats owed from a football club in Scotland, far away from big business  HQ's in London. I think personally they would rather wind the business up, take whats left from the liquidation than to be seen horse trading with the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

You undersestimate the financial pragmatism of HMRC, and overestimate their uterio motives, in my opinion.

They will get nothing from liquidation unless you sincerely believe Ibrox and MP will raise more than 40 million in a firesale.
They have delivered the message loud and clear, Rangers are insolvent and the perpretators are not getting rewarded.

HMRC would be held responsible for risking a 45 million plus return for all creditors and throwing away 7 or 8 million of tax payers money. On top of explaining why they let Rangers trade from May 2011 to Feb 2012 without paying a single contribution.

They will do a deal or face massive public scrutiny, who benefits from liquidation....no one.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats my point. HMRC can not be seen to be pandering to companies over what is viewed as tax avoidance. Football clubs have a very bad reputation for not paying the man. So we find ourselves in a position where  there is large amount outstanding, criticism from everybody about HMRC's  failure to act, a new head to be appointed and a club that is going to be offering  peanuts in the pound for a CVA should the BTC case be lost. The absolute truth hers is the only people this will effect are Rangers supporters. Do HMRC have a conscious? No. I really really hope your right, but I also think HMRC has a point to prove and Rangers will be the point. Fingers crossed.

FORMER Scottish Rugby Union chief Gordon McKie is in line to run Rangers if Paul Murray’s Blue Knights gain control.

McKie, who divided opinion during his controversial six-year Murrayfield reign, left to become chief executive of the Hong Kong Football Association.

It is believed the Glasgow-born accountant has been targeted by Brian Kennedy, who joined Murray’s consortium last week.

If appointed he’d take over from Ali Russell who lost his job in February when Rangers went into administration.

The Blue Knights, who are vying with American Bill Miller for control of Rangers, handed in an improved offer to administrators Duff and Phelps yesterday.

They had no choice after their bid at the end of last week fell far short of Miller’s £11.2m.

Although it was described as a £5m offer the actual amount of cash on the table for creditors – who are owed upwards of £40m even without the Big Tax Case ruling– was only £1.5m.

It’s also thought Kennedy may now be willing to consider a Newco route similar to that outlined by Miller.

The tow-truck tycoon is convinced his ‘incubator’, or temporary company plan, would avoid further SPL sanctions – provided it was in place before the end of this season.

Although Murray has always insisted the club must exit administration via a CVA, Kennedy appears to be the one now driving the Blue Knights.

And as part of his plans the multi-millionaire Sale Sharks owner is understood to be keen on getting McKie on board.

Rangers fan McKie previously worked for former Ibrox owner David Murray when he ran his MIMTEC Electronics firm until it was sold in 1997.

McKie took the SRU job in 2005 and was initially praised for steadying the ship by implementing firm financial controls.

But he quit last summer after his decisions caused rifts within the game.

McKie froze playing budgets at Magners League sides Glasgow and Edinburgh and found himself facing a player revolt while clashing with sponsors, broadcasters, supporters and SRU staff.

However, if he is recruited at Ibrox should Kennedy’s takeover succeed he’ll be facing his toughest task yet.

Believable30 Unbelievable15

This is nothing more than Kennedy doing PR exercise to put pressure on D&P and DR going along with it.. Can't believe they only bid 1.5m cash last week - joke!

Agree0 Disagree0

Worked for former owner david murray

no,no no .....never never never

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it just me, what keeps springing to mind when I think about Kennedy and Murray's bid for Rangers F.C is the scene from the end of the movie the Candidate....after Redford wins the election he turns to his campaign manager in the privacy of his hotel room and announces "what do we do now"?

Agree0 Disagree0

This has reminded me of something and it might put your mind at rest, I used to work for Gordon McKie and he told me once that he wouldn't trust David Murray with a penny. Also though, I had no idea he was even remotely interested in football yet alone a Rangers fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

What happened to Souness coming back?

Agree0 Disagree0

Any bid whether it is CVA or Liquidation is based on the market value of the assets and not the size of the debt. There are secured creditors totalling 36 million who would rather not risk liquiation, and are happy to be removed as creditors under a CVA and transfer their arrangements to the new owner. Therefore any offer of cash under a CVA is extra and on top of the 36 million guarantees. A bid of 1.5 million under a CVA is worth 37.5 million in liquidation.

TBK and BK do not believe Rangers assets are worth more than 37.5 million in a liquidation sale.

I doubt the figure 1.5 million but the same princilpe applies, if you offer 10 million then this in effect prices the assets at 46 million. It is irrelevant what the debt figure is, its not going to change the value of the assets.

Forget book values of Rangers assets, what would Ibrox and MP be sold for at a liquidation auction, my guess is around 30 to 35 million......if that.

In that case an ordinary creditor would get nothing out of a liquidation sale

10p in the pound is better than nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Souness was never coming back. More nonsense so many freely swallowed.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is one piece of information we can gleam from this rumour, the admin fees are deducted from the cash offer, this suggest the final bill for D&P will be the difference between the 5 million and the 1.5 million to the creditors, ergo it will be approx 3.5 million.

D&P probably squeezed another 3.5 million out of TBK-BK to offer the ordinary creditors 5 million, this values Rangers assets at 45 million, which is more than they would sell for in a liquidation sale, a lot more.

He was a banker before becoming involved with footy.

Hes only involved because ally has demanded to know who does the voice for that wee fat green duck.........

oops

Does that mean ORVILLE will be on his own , or will there be a roll for him at ibrox ?

Keith Harris is football's Mr Fixit

In his prime I don't even think Jim would have been able to fix this one.
I doubt wee Ally would have been able to write as well as an 8 year old either.

No orville likes bird seed!

Will Broxy Bear be made redundant now, and replaced by a big yellow Canary?

Did Miners not used to use canaries to smell fowl gases in years gone by?

At least the hymn sheet at Ibrox would be changed....."I wish I could fly right up to the sky but I can't....you can"! ha ha

TBK to be confirmed as preferred biddrrs within the next couple of hours, watch this post.

CVA will not be agreed untill the beginning of June, sources are that rangers won the BTK but now face a legal obligation to pay the HMRC what they owe them for last year in full before they agree a CVA, this is what TBK and Brian Kennedy will do and they will propose a further 12.5 million to the rest of the creditors

Believable32 Unbelievable34

Two rumours in one. Gotta say this one is probably made up but may turn out to be true. Doesn't leave much to the non-HMRC creditors. Not as much as 12.5m unless TBK have found some more money from somewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of complete and utter s**te. Won the big tax case ffs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously where do you make this up? would be amazed if we won BTC

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think this is possible. No unsecured creditor can be paid in full unless all unsecured creditors are paid in full. Everybody gets same penny in the pound.

Agree0 Disagree0

So that would make Ticketus the largest Creditor, and the BK's bid in the region of 26-28 million. With 12-15 required upfront for the LTC..... Big difference from the figures floating around and to be fair more realistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we have won the TBC and then as you say pay HMRC last year's due tax payments, then we would owe them nothing.

You then go on to say that HMRC would not sign off on a CVA unless we do this. If we do this they are not a creditor, so why would they have any say in a CVA?

Ther's either ahole in your logic or you are just plain making it up!

Agree0 Disagree0

And only last week all they could muster in funds was 1.5m ? Absolute tosh ! Where's all this extra money to pay the hmrc AND creditors magically appeared from ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Do HMRC have preferential status over other unsecured creditors to be paid first for last year? Don't believe this rumour, Ticketus and Whyte are the key players, what is their status?

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is your source for this?

I do hope it is true though as we need clarification and decisions sooner rather than later.

Wullie

Agree0 Disagree0

We have not won any tax case. Stop getting people's hopes up. I expectp to hear the decision from a more reliable source than rangers rumours.

Agree0 Disagree0

DAFT AS A BRUSH!! Even if you have no penalties and no interest (yeah right) you still owe 24 million to the queen. Yes thats right you have admitted liability for that one. Get a grip, get your head out the sand and prepare to be extinct. Oh and just as a footnote the SPL investigation into dual contracts will be ready soon and if ya think the SFA were hard on ya, you aint seen nothing yet.

TBK's are set to be named preferred bidder as D&P do not understand how they (if left within the Rangers FC entity as it is) are left with no assets are cash to fund a CVA whilst Miller moves all assets and cash to a "NewCo"....

However, make no mistake in understanding that, TBK's have a very short window and limited time to agree a CVA and that liquidation is a very real and serious threat to the club unless someone with 500 million quid turns up in the next week or so!

Believable13 Unbelievable26

What I dont like is that if TBK have struggled to get enough cash together to fund a takeover how are they going to fund the running of the club and invest in players. These people are only talking about saving us, where then ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully if the tbk can get in and a cva agreed a fan share issue along the lines of what McCann did at Celtic. All they have said is they wil try n save the club. Funding after must come from the fans and make sure no 1 person has totall control over our club again. The last 2 custodians of our club have screwed us over. Lesson must be learned

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree there but when low end EPL clubs are paying 10 million for 1 mediocre player I don't see how we can every compete at the top level again.

Agree0 Disagree0

The English transfer market is not a model to be looked at. Exaggerated transfer fees.Teams from Portugal,France,Germany,Holland & Spain still compete without paying over the odds fees. The days of us ever getting close to
England are well over A roper youth academy is the future bring them through sell them on. Scouting must be better across world football. Would of rather the millions spent on Lafferty, Edu , Whittaker , the list could go on had been invested in scouting youth. We must never find ourselves in this position again. Survival first rebuild take it from there.

Agree0 Disagree0

There won't be money to invest from TBK. But there will be ongoing income which will fund player wages. Won't be able to make multi-million signings but some decent loans or free transfers will start the ball rolling again. Assuming new players are allowed to be signed, that is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair points I think, We should be competing with Motherwell in no time !! Meanwhile them on the dark side of the city will be getting 10m+ for europe every season. Lean times ahead :-(

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic aren't guaranteed 10 million they still have to qualify for champions league groups. There investment in playing squad will reduce as the pressure to win league will ease slightly for the next couple of years. It will be a long hard road back surely we have to have a better run and managed club than before.

if we become a new co do we get our cattering and shirt sales back ect the club needs al this to become a viable business again

Believable14 Unbelievable33

Good point, does it cancel all contracts?

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen guys gonna answer me this please.see the transfer embargo?how can we as a club be and im only making up these figures ,say we are 100 million in debt and we get cva say paying 10p in the pound i think it will be even lower than thatbut say 10p that us we pay 10mill and walk away from 90mill,how then can we go out and spend say 15 mill on transfers?disnae sit good with me i thought we were better than that.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we become a new co? why would we want to sell jumpers of some old bankrupt team,

Agree0 Disagree0

The current deals still stand as far as I'm aware

Agree0 Disagree0

A new Company means a new Company we will have everthing back New Co is the only way to go!

Agree0 Disagree0

No - apparently the cattery is being closed and the new co plans to open kennels and as for he the shirts, they will be sold from Debenhams :)

Agree0 Disagree0

No - apparently the cattery is being closed and the new co plans to open kennels and as for he the shirts, they will be sold from Debenhams :)

---------------------------------------
aaah! you beat me to it!

Agree0 Disagree0

A new co is just that a new company nothing to do with the old rangers shirts deals and everything that goes with being a football team would be able to be sold all current rangers staff and players would be laid off if the new company wants to employ them then that's fine nobody would have any hold on a newco

Agree0 Disagree0

Newco means everything starts again mate. See that new kit you pre-ordered? Keep that, because when someone asks you who Rangers FC were in 50 years time you can show them. See the Rangers wallpaper in your kids bedroom? Scrape that, because that team doesn't exist anymore. See the catering? Forget all about that because that's the least of your worries... Firstly you need a name, a crest, a strip, players, a stadium, training facilities, a league to play in, a fanbase to build, deals to agree for sponsorship, sanctions to face for being the spawn of an extinct club i.e 3rd division or SPL with points deductions. Maybe when all that is sorted we can worry about who's selling our pies and bovril.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shirt Sales yes they would revert back to the new co although like ticketus this mightmean that they become unsecured creditors. (every contract has penalty clauses). Also do Who runs the rangers store is it the club? The catering almost certainly not if you continue to play at Ibrox. {Ed001's Note - how can shirt sales revert to a newco? Do you have any idea what a newco is?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lose history but would gain control over our own future. A new company would have control over all it's revenue streams. Existing contracts with old co die with that old co.

Agree0 Disagree0

One small thing dignity FC-you would be ripping a lot of people off, or is that ok as long as YATP? No shame no remorse and no class
