Anyone any info on the DoF position or when they expect to appoint one?

21 Mar 2017 04:52:07
Supposedly its out off bomber brown, ferguson and miller, going by the papers.

21 Mar 2017 04:53:02
Sorry i read tht wrong lol tht was for 1st team coach. I duno who is dof, seen mcleish has knocked it bk though.

21 Mar 2017 10:54:57
Maybe Ferguson for coach and Brown for DOF that sounds good to me especially if bomber brings his boots

21 Mar 2017 11:32:09
Rangers never spoke to Eck about DoF role but when asked the question on bbc he said he felt he still had something to give in management.

21 Mar 2017 13:55:57
yes, but the dark side will spin it so that we got another knock back and that's the media i am talking about when referring to the dark side this time, lmao.

20 Mar 2017 09:59:32
I believe the interviews for our scottish / local no. 3 position, to work under pedro caixinha starts today! I'm also led to believe, that barry ferguson has his interview, for the position, today!

The other 2 candidates that are shortlisted to be interviewed, this week are seemingly, neil mccann and alex rae! We should find out who's the chosen candidate, by the end of this week!

I truly think barry ferguson will get the job! What do other bears out there think? what have you heard regarding this? Should be interesting!

20 Mar 2017 10:07:51
@SC11 - I would have preferred Murty to have been given it. I honestly don't see what the rest bring to the club in a coaching capacity - one of the criteria that Pedro is looking for.

20 Mar 2017 12:24:32
UJ a would love to see murty involved in some way as a do believe he does deserve to be in the first team set up and would be happy to see any of the of the 3 candidates at ibrox but time will tell but things are looking good onwards and upwards

20 Mar 2017 12:44:52
Could it be that Murty will be with the first team squad and the guys being interviewed takeover Murty's old position?

20 Mar 2017 13:32:10
Murty deserves to be included in the first team coaching set up.

20 Mar 2017 14:40:05
I don't think Murty wants to be involved with the first team as i think he sees himself a nurturer of young talent and mabey with his increased rep at the club now he can push the issue to get any young guys that look like they have what it takes to be included in the 1st yeam squad.

20 Mar 2017 14:40:37
Imo Neil McCann would be an excellent choice, the guy know what he's on about had a similar job at dunfermline and only left due to bigger money deal on skysports, I do think if rangers came calling it would turn his head, just my opinion tho

20 Mar 2017 15:03:05
Tommyj79 a agree with u a think murty has been offered to stay and work with first team but has decided he's happy to continue his work with youth squad and that's prob why we are looking at other options was good to see murty out with the squad on saturday aswel and the fans reception for him was first class

20 Mar 2017 17:24:40
Graeme murty would have been a very good shout for the position UnionJack, but he wants to continue his great work coaching the under 20's! The rangers directors also want him to continue in this very important role, in what will hopefully feed our first team with very good, well coached and developed, young players! Much the same situation with kenny miller who's already doing a bit of coaching at MP, but he wants to continue playing with doing his wee bit of coaching which he's currently doing and enjoying! Kenny also would have been a good choice IMHO!

20 Mar 2017 17:40:09
I'd be happy with any one of the 3 of them, although I like Murty I want him to work with the youth it's an important job and one which I'm confident now Murty is right guy for .

20 Mar 2017 17:58:35
I'd be amazed if neil mccann got job considering he said live on sky sports that in his opinion it was a mistake giving caixinha the job.

20 Mar 2017 18:02:48
Barry for me

20 Mar 2017 18:21:47
Neil McCann has been scathing in his criticism of rangers during the past 5 years. Albeit his job means he should be impartial he has taken it to new levels. I would gladly take Barry or Alec Rae. Both have the desire and dig to support Pedro. I know its not just about being Rangers men but if that's the case why is Pedro so set in getting someone like this onboard? Answer because it's necessary. O will support 100% the decision

21 Mar 2017 10:49:07
Whilst I agree Murty did a great job in the interim role, Pedro is the manager now and specifically stated he wants an experienced coach with extensive local knowledge.

Murtys never been a coach before aside from
U20s so he wouldn't fit the role. If supercoop's shortlist is right I think Alex Rae should get it; he has good playing experience both sides of the border, has good coaching experience from his time at St Mirren and as a bonus is a dyed in the wool bluenose.

The blend of passion and experience from Pedro and Rae at murray park would be just what we need!

21 Mar 2017 11:04:56
Union Jack, the man has already said this appointment doesn't necessarily have to be involved in the coaching.

21 Mar 2017 11:22:24
What about John (bomber) brown anyone? He's a proper diehard rangers fan with coaching experience! This rangers legend has red, white and blue, running through his veins! He absolutely adores glasgow rangers!

20 Mar 2017 09:54:45
Hyndman returning to Bournmouth at end of season. Bad news for us but not totally unexpected. Young man with great ability he wants to play at highest level. Sign of the times that Bournmouth dwarf Rangers and The other mob. Pedro i'm sure will get quality replacement in.

20 Mar 2017 10:27:17
It is nothing to do with Bournemouth dwarfing the Old Firm. It's the money and better potential to go to higher places.

20 Mar 2017 11:24:41
Yeah and I don't think we have much chance with toral as he signed an extension to his arsenal contract before coming to us

20 Mar 2017 12:13:13
Crowd at Bournemouth at weekend was under 12000.
If that's dwarfing rangers or celtic then so be it.

20 Mar 2017 14:45:48
If he wasn't getting a game with Bournemouth before he came to us what make him get a game when he gets back, there maybe every chance we could loan him again .

20 Mar 2017 20:37:19
Think there is a good chance we could loan him for the season next season. eddie Howe has got to be happy with what he is doing just now so as he is still a young guy I think there is a very good chance they will loan him again for one more full Season would benefit him loads then after that he would be better placed to go play in the EPL

21 Mar 2017 10:51:01
Sorry fellow bears. Club size isn't about crowd size any longer. You're right bournemouth have done diddly squat in their entire history and average 15000 at home games. But its the TV revenue that's the killer. Bit like celtic getting all that dosh simply for being humiliated in champions league. Its not right and hopefully the TV dosh will disappear but it won't anytime soon. Watford also dwarf us and swansea. Sorry guys.

21 Mar 2017 13:57:37
why can't sky or bt see that we would be a better investment than that of the championship we pull in bigger crowds and have much much bigger support and i'm including hearts hibs, the sheep and both dundee sides in this.

as if bournemouth can get more viewers than us. then we would be as well as giving up, but i don't believe for a second that that is the case. it's just they don't want us to get any better and would love us to go tits up.

20 Mar 2017 09:18:19
Rangers looking to bring in Darren Fletcher on a free at the end of the season after he claims he'd like to finish his career in Scotland.

20 Mar 2017 10:45:31
Would love this to be true. Can't see it though. Apparently a Celtic fan so they would hlbe his first choice if he wanted to play in Scotland

20 Mar 2017 11:50:09
One of my work colleagues is good friends with Darren Fletcher. He was saying how he is enjoying life at West Brom and can see himself retiring there. Big Cel*ic fan, so can't see him coming to the Gers

20 Mar 2017 12:37:26
i can assure all us bears rangers will be linked with a few the loaness will return to there parent club but am sure Pedro will hav his sights on players to bring in will thay be signings or will he go down the loan route but do Wee no what kind of chest king will give him ano somebody stated a while bak that he will be giving a chest of 2.5 m a do think it will be more than that

20 Mar 2017 12:46:16
Absolute nonsence that Fletcher is a celtic fan.
He supported hibs as a kid however is a proffesional so don't see what it matters who he supports

20 Mar 2017 12:46:48
Darren Fletcher is a massive Celtic fan. If he was going to be coming up here, which I very much doubt, then the only place he will go will be to them

20 Mar 2017 17:28:35
Allymitchell, how good do you reckon your info is on the possibility of darren fletcher signing for us in the summer mate? I don't doubt you mate, i'm only asking how trustworthy your source is on this info

20 Mar 2017 18:13:57
i hope not he is past his best and for me hasn't been the same since his bowel problem

20 Mar 2017 22:38:05
Rumour is all over twitter, just passing it on SuperCoop. Doubt it personally but this is a rumours site after all.

21 Mar 2017 00:23:54
What does supporting a team mean now a days for pro players. they go where the money is well 99% of them. Look at the lego muncher.

21 Mar 2017 10:38:08
MoJo was a massive Selik fan as well but gey-ho. and for the record DF is a Selik fan so stop with the Hibs guff

21 Mar 2017 10:42:16
There is absolutely no chance of Fletcher ever playing for Rangers. That's a fact.

21 Mar 2017 11:05:11
Darren Fletcher used to go to the Stranraer games when he was a kid so he must be a Celtic fan. Not everyone in Scotland supports us or them.

21 Mar 2017 11:07:46
Why would we bring him to Rangers? More likely to go to the Dark side and they are welcome to him.

21 Mar 2017 13:56:01
He used to go to the Celtic games with his uncle and had a season book for a few years. quick bit of research tells you this.

21 Mar 2017 14:05:16
since he came back from that spell out of the game he isn't even close to scott brown never mind what rangers need.

19 Mar 2017 22:48:28
I really do wish it was possible that we could keep our young, loanee, american midfielder, emerson hyndman! Even if we can get him on an extended loan deal from bournemouth, for the full of next season!

Young hyndman is a terrific midfielder and has been outstanding for us, since joining us on loan in january! He's also scoring goals for us! He has everything in his locker to make it big in the game! I know there's absolutely no chance of us signing him permanently! He reminds me so much of a young ian durrant! I can pay young hyndman no higher compliment than that!

20 Mar 2017 08:44:06
Wouldn't say there's no chance of us signing him permanently, but no harm in asking the question to Bournemouth. Walter Smith made a big statement when he came back by signing Steve Davis permanently, so would send out the right signals if the board backed Pedro to try and sign Hyndman.

20 Mar 2017 09:18:24
I think Hyndman comparison to Ian Durant is spot on. The young lad has been a excellent signing. I think he would jump at the chance to sign for us. Play at Bournemouth or Ibrox doesn't really compare to be fair. Sorry Bournemouth, no offence intended.

🔴⚪🔵

20 Mar 2017 09:30:19
Agree about the lad but you are off your heads if you thing it really is down to the board whether or not he would sign!

Based on promise, he could get ÂŁ40k per week in the EPL. do you really thing we could justify anything like that in Scotland?

20 Mar 2017 09:22:53
I think toral is playing well now too. Plays much better there than Halliday

20 Mar 2017 09:51:44
Bear2306,i doubt we could afford to sign emerson hyndman, permanently mate! I would obviously hope we could though! The 2 reasons that unfortunately we won't get hyndman permanently are that eddie howe rates him very highly and of course, like i mentioned, the high transfer fee! A wee question bear2306.How much do you think bournemouth would want for hyndman, taking into account he signed a 4 year deal with them, when he left fulham? That question is out there for all other bears also!

20 Mar 2017 09:58:21
He is returning to Bournemouth at end of season.

20 Mar 2017 17:15:09
You would think we could extend it for another season.

20 Mar 2017 18:18:13
i see the comparisons with durant also but he isn't as physical as he was but he does have everything else in the locker

21 Mar 2017 14:22:29
what is the price tag on his head does anyone know?
