Know Cummings uncle who is head of youth at County. All he says is that Cummings is 100% not a Hibs player next season. Wether that's us or someone else, I don't know. But one thing is decided and that is that he is leaving. Could be the reason he's been benched last few weeks.

21 May 2016 05:40:55
I would take Cummings as I think he has talent but I don't think it would be fair to put all the goal scoring pressure on a young lad if he comes in. I would also like to see a more experienced front man with a good strike rate come in also.

21 May 2016 09:23:09
We have Miller waggy and o'halloran so all the pressure wouldn't b on him.

21 May 2016 09:35:39
He has been subbed and on bench I believe in recent hubs matches. Poor performances and no goals. Either true reflection of playing under pressure or something on his mind ie transfer.

21 May 2016 12:55:10
Don't get me wrong Cummings is a good player and could be worth it but at the same time I'm unsure when Iv seen that cabbage play he has been ok but I think he doesn't take it seriously when he tried that penalty against Dundee United I just though why would you try it just get your team in the final instead of being billy big balls.

20 May 2016 19:55:26
Heard a few times today that Cummings deal is already done and we r waiting for final to b over to announce. Don't think so myself but interested to hear fellow bears thoughts? Also is it just me or does any1 else think we should try sign mcginn from hibs?

20 May 2016 20:06:45
Wouldn't take McGinn if they gave us a million. As for the cummings rumour- I don't believe it. Hibs wouldn't even negotiate before this final.

20 May 2016 20:12:15
Cummings is a good player and would give us quite a lot of goals but I'm not sure if McGinn is much better than what we have. I wouldn't say he was worse, just not sure if he's a big upgrade and I think Hibs might want quite a lot of money for him.

20 May 2016 20:29:53
I personally would have cummings sign up, as he's been a thorn in our side one to many times. It would all depend if stubbsy would sell after the chirade of Mr Allen. All remains to be seen.

20 May 2016 20:37:26
He's got ability but by gosh that boy is ugly.

20 May 2016 21:23:34
We are not league rivals anymore and his contract is up in 12 months! If Warbs wants him he'll be our player without question! Nobody can stop the juggernaut now!

20 May 2016 22:22:06
Lol, mcginn and griff look like children of Frankenstein, would both be in my ugly 11, who else though? Broony is a cert also, what a coupon that guy has.

21 May 2016 00:37:17
Know Mcginn and he absolutely hates us. Would never sign for them was his words. He is wanted down south this year. Celtic planned to sign Mcginn or GMS - chose GMS for his pace. They have told Mcginn that if he plays well then the will always be watching him. He has played very well this year so wouldn't be surprised if Celtic signed him this summer.

21 May 2016 13:19:21
McGinn is not better than Halliday Holt etc leave him be. Cummings is a decent player but I wouldn't take a gamble on him. Imo better out there.

20 May 2016 20:56:41
I predict Mr Stubbs will resign after the Cup Final and leave for Bolton.

20 May 2016 16:48:40
Apparently Rangers, Hearts and Aberdeen could be interested in bringing Stevie May back to Scotland if he can prove he has fully recovered from his knee injury.

Never really rated him myself and I believe we can do much better.

20 May 2016 17:04:28
Anybody else starting to get excited about tomorrow 😨.

20 May 2016 18:49:38
Would have been pleased with this signing last season. We're looking at a much higher level now I believe.

20 May 2016 19:09:35
If the rumours that Rogers is to be given £15 million to compete with Rangers then we are going to need players of a significantly higher level than May to win this league.

20 May 2016 20:21:56
TOM - whilst I appreciate where you are coming from, surely if the magic hat has shown us anything in the signings he has made so far, it's that quality signings need not be down to how big your budget is, but how you spend it

We obv. need to strengthen but it doesn't have to cost the earth - look at the likes of holt for 60k and waggy and tav for 450k - Brenda meanwhile won hee haw but wasted almost 100m on the likes of balotelli markovic benteke and lallana - I have full confidence in Warbs

Let the others come after us, we welcome the chase.

20 May 2016 21:49:01
Rodgers did make a complete arse of things in the end at Liverpool and really was any saved one season due to Suarez. Also heard the man's pure arrogance didn't go down well within the club, so much so that he ended up losing the dressing room. I think they have boobed big time with this appointment and should have opted for Malky Mackay.

At least it is going to cost them millions which I'm very happy about. Agree that MW signings last year were just fantastic and for so little money. These type of players are there and Mark, Davie and Frank are just the guys to find them.

20 May 2016 22:08:36
Big day tomorrow who give a Fryer Tuck about Brendin Rodgers I certainly don't come on the Rangers let get this treble done Feck the rest!

20 May 2016 23:02:52
el Minto, my comments were with regards to May, I agree that so long as we keep McParland we will most likely identify much better players and pick them up at a bargain price.

Right now I don't believe that there are many players in Scotland that would be good buys given what we might get for our money!

I also suspect that in his haste to improve the Celtic team that Rogers will end up with a couple more donkeys but he will most likely pick up one or two decent players.

I will feel a lot happier when we sign quality centre back.

20 May 2016 23:27:20
Bongo yes mate, on yae go bro.

20 May 2016 16:39:25
Gordon greer released by brighton i reckon he would do us a turn at CB seen him a few times this season and he played well as brighton captain.

20 May 2016 17:25:06
I think he would be good for 1 or 2 years but I totally agree I think we should gamble he is good and experience at the back with him is good for The young lads also with Scotland he has played well.

20 May 2016 18:55:19
Apparently saurez is keen to link up with his old manager?

20 May 2016 20:32:29
He also said 'Brenda is one of Europe's top coaches'. that will be why he bypassed La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga et al in order to test himself at the very highest level.

20 May 2016 21:53:32
Aye that would be right! I hear wee Luis has got a picture of Brenda on the dressing room door at Barcelona and is regularly seen spitting at and chewing the corner of it. It would be a non starter anyway as it would cost Celtic far too much in Tetanus shots for opponents after matches.

20 May 2016 21:54:14
Aye, also apparently the moon is actually triangular.

20 May 2016 17:59:17
Agree big t.

20 May 2016 16:38:22
Gordon Greer getting released by Brighton. At 35 I'd still say he could do a job up north, can't be any worse than Danny Wilson this season so imo I'd take him.

20 May 2016 12:33:51
Hearin us hearts and aberdeen are interested in connor sammon. Just been released from derby. Still only 29. Done a jobe for killie when he was up here. Would b a good addition to the team ad recon.

20 May 2016 15:18:23
It's all getting a little silly now. Connor Salmon is not a player who will take us to the SPL title.

20 May 2016 15:32:44
No chance he's Killie standard, didn't get a look in at Derby because he's not good enough.

20 May 2016 15:34:04
Celtic are not in for Salmond though why? I will tell you why the guys murder. We would be as well signing Alex Salmond as he has the same chance of coming to Ibrox as Connor does.

20 May 2016 16:27:23
Connor Salmon would be like a fish out of water at Ibrox.

20 May 2016 17:51:52
He can leap though, especially against the opposition tide.

20 May 2016 18:54:07
I reckon he'd flounder.

20 May 2016 19:51:04
he is a real haddie.

20 May 2016 20:37:02
I've got a feeling this post might be a red herring.

20 May 2016 21:54:58
I hear he's always the life and sole of any party.

20 May 2016 23:29:34
Kmg27 you done up like a kipper there mate eh lol.

21 May 2016 02:17:18
Please could everyone stop being silly. This isn't the time or plaice for this nonsense.

20 May 2016 17:59:21
Let some other club poach him.

21 May 2016 06:53:54
Cod almighty. Enough.

20 May 2016 10:11:00
re rumour on chasing southend keeper David Bentley, have friends from that neck of the woods who say give it everything to get him as he is absolute cracker.

20 May 2016 13:37:40
I don't think we will get him if their is reports Everton Bournemouth and Norwich want him and they have been told to pay 3 million for him I think he would be a cracking signing to but I just don't think it will happen.

20 May 2016 13:51:12
Agreed, he's an excellent young keeper, could be world class with some time and experience.

20 May 2016 15:20:16
Has Fod really been that bad? He is by no means Steffan or Goram but I would be content having him starting between the sticks next season with the young lad in the youth team deputising.

20 May 2016 16:26:50
£3million? He's out of contract.

20 May 2016 16:27:53
Rangeken mw daid in todays paper he is not interested in that keeper.

20 May 2016 21:08:23
He's out of contract but as with rossiter his fee would be peanuts as it's cross boarder. Teams In England would need to pay the development fee supposedly 3 million.

20 May 2016 10:14:49
Benitez wants McPartland for Newcastle, does our battles with MA never end lol!

Interesting to see what happens here. Is Rangers and MW pull enough to keep him here?

Time shall tell. I saying he will stay!

its in a paper BTW.

20 May 2016 10:53:22
I don't think mcparland will leave yet, I think him and warburton are just getting started with what they want to do at gers, i really believe they are loving life at rangers just now, so I would be really surprised if he left.

20 May 2016 13:10:15
i hope he doesn't go as he is doing wonders for us.

20 May 2016 12:17:13
He has a working relationship with Warburton and he's only just in the door. Doubt he'd leave to work for that clown.

20 May 2016 13:16:54
rafa know mcparland from his time at Liverpool
its makes sense that he wants him at Newcastle
we can only hope his loyalty to warbs is stronger
you never know rodgers may want mcparland at porkheid.

20 May 2016 13:52:24
no chance will be leave. he is too loyal to MW. He also left a championship club to come to rangers.

20 May 2016 14:04:16
Theres only one chance of him leaving and that's no chance. With his previous links to Warbs and with the project he's working on just now why would he leave? Plus he cannot be blind to the crap that's going on at Newcastle.

20 May 2016 14:14:26
I see Davie Weir some mornings in a bakery in the West End, McPartland was there with him yesterday - not sure if that adds anything, but the scones in there are massive.

21 May 2016 09:18:07
Souness_

That's funny! Good post.

20 May 2016 10:00:49
Reports suggesting that we are still very much interested in Daniel Bentley. Not seen much of the lad but have 100% confidence in warbs.

20 May 2016 11:20:34
DR reporting its nonsense.

20 May 2016 13:59:46
I hope we get him, I'm an ex goalkeeper and Bentley looks like he could be world class with time and experience.

He's a fantastic shot stopper, needs to hold the ball more I feel instead of pushing it away but he's 6'5 and has almost inhuman agility and everything he does is smooth.

20 May 2016 10:14:49

20 May 2016 09:00:24
There's a rumour the Rangers and the other lot might be invited to join any reconstruction of the English football league in 2019/ 2020 season. Hopefully it's bye bye SPFL.

20 May 2016 09:33:52
Will never happen . same old chestnut every couple years.

20 May 2016 09:28:16
We have just come through a 4 year journey from hell. I for one could not put up with sitting in England's lower leagues . I for one are satisfied we are back at the top table in Scotland.

20 May 2016 09:28:16
We have just come through a 4 year journey from hell. I for one could not put up with sitting in England's lower leagues . I for one are satisfied we are back at the top table in Scotland.

20 May 2016 09:34:09
One of the best things Warbs has done is raise our profile again back down south.

He's often on talksport and sky which helps to keep us involved in any potential conversations.

Testament to how good a job he's done for me. A few years ago I feared that if any move away from Scotland did happen we might not be involved.

Here's hoping as always.

20 May 2016 10:19:56
Would be nice if this happened! Plenty quality games albeit that I suspect that both teams would need to start in the lowest division and work their way up. That would take a few years!

Maybe we are better staying in Scotland where we can dominate the SPL for years to come!

20 May 2016 12:28:42
Will never happen. However, I'd be happy entering at Conference level if it offered a route into the English setup!

20 May 2016 13:15:44
I think there is more chance of rangers and celtic joining an atlantic league, however that being said i'd be happy to start at the bottom of the English leagues again in four years time.

it would be a long road but think with the support our team has around the world I could see us being a very top club in England in 10 years time which would be worth it to be in the best league in the world.

20 May 2016 08:10:33
Apologies if someone has already said this but Barton isn't waiting on whether we get into Europe, to decide if he should sign, he's simply weighing up his options, put it this way, are Burnley in Europe next season?

20 May 2016 08:23:03
I would be shocked in his sense of thinking if that is the case. That should be a major reason to join.
You do say he isn't waiting to find out if we get into europe but then say are burnley in europe, makes no sense or am reading it out of context.

20 May 2016 08:49:53
I agree it's not dependent on Europe, he has been clear that family and settling in a good school environment are the considerations! At his age doubt he's be playing twice a week anyway!

20 May 2016 09:15:19
To fintytint
Yes you are reading it out of context, i've read a lot of people have said Barton is waiting to see if we make it into Europe but that's not the case, Burnley aren't in Europe so if he signed another year for Burnley, he won't be in Europe anyway, as i said, he's weighing up his options and will do what's best for his family and himself.

20 May 2016 10:21:52
Burnley or Rangers! Wouldn't be too difficult a choice for me! Playing in from of 50,000 Rangers fans every other week or consistently seeing your support in the minority at all games before you are relegated again!

20 May 2016 08:47:29
I think he's meaning burnley aren't in Europe and Barton is choosen between us and them.

20 May 2016 13:22:03
think it would be crazy to say Europe has nothing to do with his decision while all the other factors like family are reasons are legitimate I think as a footballer having a chance to play in Europe is always a factor.

20 May 2016 13:30:51
Are Burnley in Europe? No. but they will be in the best and one of highest paid league in the world. i kno where i'd rather be. Although he's played a loa of years in the english prem so he might just want a new challenge.

21 May 2016 09:09:34
It's not about playing for burnley or rangers. His kids will be going to school soon and as such he needs some stability. Burnley would only offer a 1 year deal which isn't long enough for him to settle. I doubt any prem side would offer him 2 years so I expect to see him sign.

20 May 2016 04:33:13
I was laughed at for posting this a few weeks ago about joy altidore but he was the second player MW was talking to along with kranjcar in NY have it all you want but if rangers win Saturday Barton kranjcar altidore will sign 🔴⚪🔵.

20 May 2016 09:25:28
Hope not Altidore - we need some one who can score for fun and he sure isn't that man. If we sign Altidore with the intent of including him in the starting 11 that would be a massive boost for the other teams in the SPL. Nicky Clarke is 100 times better and yes I know what I am saying.

20 May 2016 10:19:34
It's the SPL lol.

20 May 2016 10:19:34
It's the SPL lol.

20 May 2016 11:30:26
Watched Altidore for almost a season at Hull; nearly 30 appearances and only 2 goals if I remember correctly? This is an appalling goals to game ratio for a striker. Makes Leigh Griffiths look like Ronaldo. Think he might have been one of the main reasons Hull struggled so much that season. If you can't hit a barn door you can't hit a barn door - doesn't matter if it's in the EPL, the SPL or the Champions League. And with any luck it won't just be the SPL it will be the Europa League.

20 May 2016 13:26:45
the guy is nowhere near ranger quality hope this is a lot of rubbish

20 May 2016 13:50:08
Mls wages just been released and altidore is on almost 5 million a year. We ain't getting him for that.

19 May 2016 23:20:12
Benitez is looking to hire Frank McParland, our head of recruitment. Will he stay?

20 May 2016 00:18:28
I think he will stay mate, if he doesn't it looks like Joey Barton could be going with him to Newcastle though.

20 May 2016 00:43:06
Bluenose architect, i read that story as well, but i don't think there's any truth in it, its obvious to me ashley has seen the job frank mcpartland is doing at our place and newcastle are trying to upset the apple cart, its funny this story emerged the day afterwe told ashley to get lost with his retail deal, that's how i see it anyhow, and i wouldn't be surprised if we now hear of newcastle being interested in some of our plsyers, the man is an ego maniac, imho.

20 May 2016 05:01:01
Can't see Frank going to Newcastle, what that fat prick Ashley has done to our club isso disgusting and criminal I don't think he'll go. I think that there may even be players who might think twice about going to Newcastle making Rafa's job harder. can u imagine Rafa's face after a player says sorry Raf but your Owner is a fat thieving **** and don't want to be associated with him!

20 May 2016 08:20:19
Good shout about the Ashley connection I never even put 2 and 2 together.

20 May 2016 11:24:46
Bluenose and you being an architect an all lol,

19 May 2016 23:08:21
Pure speculation here.

MW has said he spoke to couple of players in NewYork. Krancjar we know about the other though?

My suspicion is Lampard, McParland has said they want to get Rangers men in Lampard is a fan of us and the MLS season runs like MAR to Oct so a loan in the off season may be possible. Remember Dave King sat behind Lampard at Stamford Bridge last Oct. Keith Jackson was saying on twitter that we are after someone that would surprise us all. If we are back in europe he'd definitely bring the experience, know it seems far fetched but just a thought bears.

20 May 2016 05:23:59
Aye right he has not played all year and is on £4 million a year.

20 May 2016 13:31:16
my god guys get your head out of the clouds he might be older now but we could never afford his wages . just as well going for neymar suarez and messi while we are at it lmfao.

20 May 2016 17:51:35
Aye I know it's very far fetched haha just a thought anyone know who the other player could be then?
