Daly is a good option to have up front he has also played a lot of games at centerhalf, a problem position for us most of the season,, he will not cost anything other than his wage, experienced and adaptable, right now what we need

Would love to see rangers join the English league, no one could blame them the way they have been treated.

Daly is not a good player. Why would you say this? He is at best average that is why he is playing where he is. Also at 30yrs old the only way is down from the lofty heights of average!! Wake up & stop accepting this crap. There are younger & better out there if only someone would get off their backsides & find them. Maybe Durrant as he seems to do sod all except be the dud managers pal!

Agree2 Disagree1

Is Daly any worse than those that came into teh club just prior to teh transfer ban. Probably not.

That does not mean that he is of a quality that should be acceptable however under the current scouting system I fear that he is the best we will get.

Fact is that Murray and Co are worse than useless as scouts and until Rangers has a proper scouting system headed by a quality individual nothing will change.

That said, quality players would only be wasted under the current coaching regime.

He would only cost wage experience and adaptable? Never heard of anyone paying for adaptable. But the last thing needed is another wage getting wasted on a past it player

Agree1 Disagree0

Daly is lazy, glad to see the back of him, this is coming from an arab. You have been warned

Agree0 Disagree1

I think there is a lot of people on here saying a lot without actually supplying any depth to their argument.

If you think there are a lot better, younger players we could get then name them! Bare in mind they should be free agents, willing to drop to the third tier in Scotland and not demand high wages. If anyone can name more than a couple I'll be impressed!

To all the people who are banging on about Ally doing all he can and saying he shouldn't be sacked. Simple fact is that we have the 2nd highest wage bill an ALL of Scotland. He had the choice to sign lower SPL or 1st division players who would've givent heir right arm to play for Rangers but chose a handful of overpaid and undertalented players when we could have had a large hungry squad on less wages. With the money that was spent we should have given it our all to win the Scottish Cup which would have given us European football. Would've beena real shot in the arm for the finances but again gone.

Most of all however the reason I want Ally gone is our future. We have an oppurtunity to build a philosophy of football much like Swansea have. A brand of football which excites the fans and bring in young hungry players. With the money we've spent we should be playing like Barcelona against teams with players who don't even play full time football but instead us fans have to watch long ball ugly football and 1-0 wins against Elgin! Not long til attendances drop and we get into serious trouble.

We'd all wish Ally the best of luck but the old boys act isn't what we need. Hunger, Style and a common sense approach to fees and wages is what we need for the future.

European football? Have a word with yourself mate.

McCoist got the club liquidated with his euro failings last year. He signed duds then, Salim Kerkar anyone?
And now his current signings are 100% his team. He had an opportunity to dump anyone from the old team and sign whoever he wanted, which he did. Are people saying he should have had a bigger budget?

Agree1 Disagree4

Ffs you can't play fancy football on the pitches we visit let's see what ally does next season

Agree1 Disagree2

European Football?

The club is suspended for another two years after this season for not submitting accounts on time last season

Agree1 Disagree1

Ally never signed kerkar smith gave him a trial when bougie was there.

Agree3 Disagree0

Swansea ok, but don't have to look that far as Celtic have been doing what you want so why not use them as an example and say thier name? By the way they played and beat barca to so even though it hurts to admit or even say why not mention Celtic?

Agree2 Disagree1

Agree with the main point here. We are in a unique situation where we had a fantastic opportunity to turn an unavoidable negative into an enviable positive. How?. by first recruiting and then coaching the best young Scottish talent in the country and using all our resources to then mould that talent into a well drilled unit that could serve us well as we try to get back to the top flight.
Its not money that`s going to fix Rangers here that can come later, its a totally different ethos from the one we have followed over the last twenty odd years.
A proper intensive coaching programme to get the best from what we have instead of buying the so called "finished article" It can be done if we put the right people in place and what better time to do it than right now while there is no pressure on us.

Agree2 Disagree1

Some of the playing surfaces have been better than SPL grounds, that's no excuse!

2nd highest wage bill in Scotland yes but still nowhere near what our wage bill was before when in SPL and Europe. Just shows the gulf between old firm and the rest, Okay on paper we should be running away with the div 3 wait a minute we are! I read John Brown in the paper talking about giving youngsters vital game time, he spoke about James McCarthy playing over 200 first games and he's only 22 if you watch EPL games you see he's a excellent player just a shame he choose EIRE. He started out in Div 1 got given his chance any mistakes he made Billy Reid stood by him and corrected it, as for spending money McCoist choose experienced spl players over 1st 2nd players because the likes of Black, Sandaza, etc proved they can play at spl level, only objective he had was to get a team ready with in a short time with no Pre season no time for the youngsters to be blended into an already established team and win the league and get to Jan 14 before building a team for the top league as he said this is only a short walk in a long journey McCoist will be the first to hold his up if he feels it's not for rangers after all he is one of us, we are all rangers

Agree2 Disagree1

Totally agree we should be playing better football and given that we have a state of the art training complex, there is no excuse for not playing a passing game. The long ball game is useful sometimes, but not all the time with no options. We have wingers but don't play them in their correct position or switch wings with them often enough. We play against defensive formations and so need to stretch the game not play into their hands with punts up the park. Players need to show pride because they are wearing a Rangers shirt, not give little effort and then come away with rhetoric that they are doing it for the fans. We're not mugs! We need a change in ethos regarding putting the team back on top. Implementing a strategy that's based on the Swansea/Dortmund footprint would be a start.

Agree2 Disagree1

Lmfao you can't play in European football for 3 years. You are a new club and under uefa rules need 3 years of accounts

Agree1 Disagree1

To the person above who thinks we should compare ourselves to celtic, go and have a word with yourself, yes you beat barca, but were lucky in doing so, so why should we copy that, ally is still my man for the job

Agree1 Disagree1

Slight problem about Scottish cup we ARE BANNED from Europe for 3 years but rest of post regarding style of football and players I agree

Agree0 Disagree1

So if it's just the rubbish 3rd div surfaces where is the swansea approach in the other HALF of your games at Ibrox? or is your pitch rubbish aswell?

Agree1 Disagree1

Ally must have been given a hefty wage budget by CG to win div3 plus cup runs, and to keep the fans interested with a reasonable standard of football.

One out three ain't good because winning div 3 could have been done without a hefty wage budget.

My advice to impatient gers fans is to forget about the past for at least 5 years, this is going to be one hard and long road back to where you were in footballing terms.

Agree1 Disagree1

Has anyone considered how far ahead Celtic will be both financially and in terms of squad strength by the time Rangers recover?

There is no doubt having no real competition for 3-4 years will fill their coffers and CG is not a compulsive gambler or investor like SDM.
1 or 2 reasonable Euro runs will put Celtic almost out of sight commercially.

Agree1 Disagree2

Ally has to go, simple. not just for todays result but, it was clear for all to see today that he or/and the team don't have a plan b. I paid for 6 tickets to see the bears on top of my season ticket as my boy was on the famous ibrox park at half time, and they like myself said this was the worst rangers team they had ever seen

Sandaza is only looking out for number one - we have all done it.
However, he was mince when he arrived, and since his broken jaw incident he has been double mince.

I would encourage him to seek employment elsewhere as he is of no use to the club now.

Just heard the full call, he does call the fans and the club amazing he didn't disrespect The manger or Green, if someone offered you a job abroad of course you would listen without committing to anything

On these wages he is here for four years

Sack him

Agree0 Disagree1

In fairness to the boy. he doesn't exactly get the best of balls to him. I think he can score goals (as he has proven) but he needs player that would assist this. On his wages- its shocking to think we are paying that out for players- there is and was better players out there for less.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers could have got a younger hungrier, cheaper, better with sell on value player we have not moved on we have not moved on at all and won't till ally and the backroom staff ALL go its sad that near the 23 hour when Rangers had to make the decision, the made the same mistakes that put us here. how long till the next prodan?
how long before McKay is lost to us how long can the fans put up with this guff football. Les

Does anyone know the answer?

If Dunfermline go to the wall, what happens to there place in the league?

Might everyone move up a place? {The Ed039's Note - That was the precedent that happened last season, so 3rd place in Div 2 would move up to the next tier whatever that may be)

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is anybody surprised what he said? It's the same answer that most mercenaries in pro football would give. As long as he plays to the best of his ability every week (which he has to now) then fair enough. Steve

Agree0 Disagree1

He's 28 and has cored 32 goals in his career (30 prior to joining Rangers). Why was he signed in the first place?
