Anyone heard anything about charlie adam coming back? Stoke haven't offered him a new contract yet, maybe he would take a wage cut to come back, he's only 31.

21 May 2017 19:31:11
Said he didn't want to

21 May 2017 19:42:35
Cant see that aywhere joscro, seen in a recent interview that he would like to stay at stoke but wouldn't rule out a move back to scotland.

21 May 2017 21:51:49
Please no.

22 May 2017 00:18:08
All i can see is a pile of 30+ yo players being mentioned. Just won't do. Especially old Rangers players.

22 May 2017 08:46:24
Can't wrap my head round people wanting Lafferty back and not Adam. Would take Adam back any day of the week, he's been performing in the EPL for years and would be a massive improvement on our current crop.

22 May 2017 11:29:11
lafferty should be nowhere near ibrox and that's for no other reason than he is mince my mates are celtic fans and they are laughing at us being linked with him again they are saying oh yes please because they know he wouldn't help up catch them

22 May 2017 11:44:20
To be fair all Celtic fans ever do is laugh, but they might have a
Point in this case.

22 May 2017 11:59:44
Lafferty or adam will no be back all speculation and rubbish

22 May 2017 15:27:14
Please no adam ☹☹

23 May 2017 14:35:55
i don't think adam and lafferty are players that pedro would want.
im sure dorrans wants to move to the U. S but with jack coming in and hopefully naisy and with rossiter and niko due back the middle doest look bad at all and i think there will be another 1/ 2 players aded in that area and with young barjonas coming trough we all need to be more positive and signing a few guys over 30 that are winners will nt be a bad thing for us to have in our squad alves is a brilliant player and just because of his age people are doubting him and a lot of them where the ones that wanted hill to get another year sorry but hill is older and slower and doesn't have the pedegree that laves does i know who i'd prefer

23 May 2017 17:40:39
Leeds are looking into signing Adams

21 May 2017 18:20:48
Rangers to offer a contract to free agent " Hulk" once team mate of Alves and complete deals for Naismith, Whittiker, Jack and make a combined £2.7M bid for Mexican pair.

21 May 2017 18:28:12
Incredible

21 May 2017 18:35:07
Which Hulk are you talking about because the one I know of who played for Zenit alongside Alves recently was transferred for around 45m to a Chinese club.

21 May 2017 18:38:51
That the same Hulk who makes 320k a week, just signed for his current club last year and they paid £45 million for him 😂

He's also been talking up joining a team in the PL, there's two chances of this happening nae chance and not a chance.

21 May 2017 18:42:18
Suffering succotash, what have you been drinking and where can I get some of it?

21 May 2017 18:49:54
I see where you are confused, the new avengers film is being shot in Scotland different hulk altogether

21 May 2017 18:50:36
Hulk is contracted until 2020 and earning over 300,000 a week you numpty.

21 May 2017 18:57:16
GEEZ you need to lay aff that gloo Forza man

21 May 2017 19:44:37
Sorry no to hulk from me he's too green

21 May 2017 20:04:50
Forza where do you hear all this from . "hulk" honestly 😂😂😂

21 May 2017 20:57:18
Aye he's on about Bruce banner lol

21 May 2017 22:13:34
Aye HULK HOGAN

21 May 2017 22:56:33
Maybe it was a misunderstanding. Maybe they were talking about Waghorn and they actually said "Bulk".

22 May 2017 01:13:15
Allan from napoli reportedly worth 30m has other interest from psg and Chelsea do we have a chance? Lol

22 May 2017 01:28:30
No it's true. When Pedro had bids for Neymar rejected he moved for Hulk.

22 May 2017 11:31:48
sorry mate but i'm more of a team thor kinda guy

21 May 2017 18:14:41
So far looks as though likely signings to be announced after the weekend could be Alves and Ryan Jack, with potential recruits Dorrans, Weiss, Naismith? That's the names I'm seeing most of if true it's an improvement will wait to see if it happens though but feeling optimistic.

21 May 2017 18:42:33
Apparently Dorrans is open to the move but the money Rangers are offering is a massive drop from what he's currently on so he's unlikely to sign unless it increases dramatically.

22 May 2017 01:20:01
I would be well happy if all we brought in were Alves, Dorrans, Jack, Weiss and Naismith! Although not 100% sure about Naismith. Would like to see Danny from Zenit though!

22 May 2017 10:32:21
Surely Dorrans has made enough money from his years on big wages to be willing to take a drop to (delete as appropriate) join his boyhood heroes/ join a massive club/ join the most successful team in world football/ play in the Europa league/ win trophies on a regular basis/ move closer to his family.

22 May 2017 20:13:51
You'd think so STYAB but the reality is that it's money that drives the majority of players ambitions nowadays rather than loyalty to a boyhood club.

The info came from his dad via my uncle, the deal could still happen but not if rangers don't up their wage offer.

21 May 2017 18:05:16
See on twitter weiss tweeted I might be coming back hope its not to rangers thought he wasn't upto much first time around.

21 May 2017 19:11:02
Weiss showed glimpses of brilliance and more than mckay great signing

22 May 2017 08:40:39
15 assists in his time with us. I agree absolute dross player.

22 May 2017 11:36:24
weiss would be a great signing for us and with Mckay reportedly being told to find a new club then we would need another winger

that being said i'd like to have seen weiss on the left and mckay on the right

naisy will be a massive improvement for us and so will alves if they come.

i do understand people wanting younger players but we need winners for these young boys to look up to so they themselves are winners.

21 may 2017 16:42:13
do not shoot the messenger!
i have been a long chat with one of my auld pals about how he thinks rangers aren't going to get on next year, and ma pal has filled me in that he thinks josef martinez is coming to rangers, i for one like the look of him as he is fast, prolific, young (23), and played for some top teams such as the torino first team, highly doubt he will be at rangers but u never know as he can fill in on the wings if pedro wants to try garner around him, don't know if he'd be a pre contract singing or money as not researched as much.

21 May 2017 17:48:24
Says on transfermarkt that he moved to Alanta united for 3.83m in march this year so don't think us signing him isn't very realistic

21 May 2017 18:52:27
Add to that his couple hundred thousand a week wages. Some people need to get a grip.

22 May 2017 11:22:51
Please add to that list:
Windass
Crooks
Waghorn
Halliday
Garner

They're all complete piss especially windass I don't see why Pedro likes the shite bag, no ball control, no finishing capability, junk.

22 May 2017 14:32:53
I would keep Garner for another season, he started to play better at the end. Maybe Pedro has introduced a style of play that suits him

23 May 2017 15:17:04
windass looked a good player but he hasn't got the grit u need to be a midfielder in scotland i hope he comes out next season and proves me wrong but to me the boy doesn't go in for a challange even if he is favourite to win it maybe garner can teach him a thing or two.

21 May 2017 12:51:31
Players told to look for new clubs/ released

Ohalloran
Forrester
Kiernan
Hill
Senderous
Hodson.

21 May 2017 13:00:54
Can't really argue with any of those, disappointed that Forrester has not shown more commitment, the rest of those mentioned are a waste of a jersey and I would add Waghorn, Halliday and possibly Holt

21 May 2017 13:18:06
Waghorn and Halliday will both definitely be on that list and I'd say holt and dodoo aswell

21 May 2017 13:42:21
I thought Hodson might still have had something to offer. Not surprised about the others though.

21 May 2017 14:03:31
I assume that Pedro has someone in mind to replace Hodson. Waghorn will stay unless we get a decent offer - +£500k

21 May 2017 14:06:30
McKay comes on, gives up wing and we give up goal. totally comfortable till then. enough

21 May 2017 14:45:34
Callum patterson (I HOPE)

21 May 2017 14:52:00
not to put a downer on things bears, but how can you tell a player under contract to 'look for a new club'?

unless i'm mistaken kiernan signed a new deal
in the summer as did halliday, tav and a few others so these guys will have at least 2 years left and will not not be easy to shift unless someone try's to buy them or we have to pay them off

both scenarios unlikely

21 May 2017 14:52:43
The young Mexican I hope not Patterson

21 May 2017 15:45:18
Surprised at some of the negative comments regarding Jack and Patterson! Are they the top class international players only time will tell BUT they ARE better than those we have in those positions already, they will improve the squad and they would be free! Absolute no brainer in my opinion

21 May 2017 15:56:44
el minto, it's easy!

You tell them that they will be bit part players only, under 21s and bench if they stay.

Most will go (with a small pay-off) so they can play football - at their level.

The few that remain will take their wage and we have to live with it.

Bigger things on the horizon that to worry about these guys

21 May 2017 16:05:16
Don't get why not patterson! 22 and great player would competition for tavenier

21 May 2017 16:13:55
sorry BR have to disagree mate to threaten players with no game time or u21s so they'll move for a small fee will not get them to move

vast majority of players are motivated by one think nowadays - money.

i don't know what kind of money these guys are on
but no doubt it will be the best contracts they've ever signed. halliday came from bradford holt from hearts moh st johnstone tav wigan these guys will be on big dough at our club and won't be moving on unless a transfer to another club can be agreed

hope i'm wrong but i reckon quite a few of these players will be there next season - surplus to requirements or not

21 May 2017 16:20:31
I would definitely take Paterson over what we have - just hope he can come back same player after injury.

21 May 2017 17:05:19
Patterson is a risk, after his injury; would rather we went for the Mexican guy.

22 May 2017 01:29:13
Have to agree with BR65 on this one. As he says some players will want to sit back and take the bigger wage, but I think most pros want to be involved every week.

23 May 2017 15:20:33
anytime a new manager comes into a club the players know they are on probation and if that manager doesn't think u fit into the squad he wants he will tell them to find somewhwhere else as they won't be in his plans it happens everywhere all the time .

proffesional players do want to play yes a lot of them care more about money but they all want to play and if told that wpont happen then they have an agent to turn to.

21 May 2017 08:10:56
Daily record reports that jack will be announced next Sunday after the cup final and we are also looking at Patterson from hearts. I know he was out injured but wasn't he about to sign for Wigan for about 1million? Be good business if we got him for free.

21 May 2017 09:57:39
Patterson is brilliant player, would be amazing signing for free happy days! Fair play to pc for taking best talent in scotland he's obviously done his homework

21 May 2017 10:08:46
Only concern with the likes of jack and Patterson, are they players who will get us near Celtic. Very much doubt it!

21 May 2017 11:05:02
I hear you Ronnie but bringing in players to fervid closer to Celtic will cost a few million and we don't have that at the moment. But if we can bring in guys like this then there will be a sell on value that we can reinvest. There is no quick fix now with an open cheque book. Pedro has to bring in wisely, certainly a lot more wiser than MW did last season.

21 May 2017 11:14:09
RonnieR9 I suppose you want kante and dani alves instead? Jack and Patterson are good players much better than what we have this is a step in the right direction. You lot are never happy lol

21 May 2017 11:19:19
Every right not to be happy with the garbage I've been watching for the last few years. They are an improvement on the current imposters but still way short of what is required to close the gap.

21 May 2017 11:42:08
While guys like Jack and Patterson might be better than what we have, (although in Patterson's case, especially after his injury, that is debatable), we will not overtake Celtic with a team full of Scots, some of who are no more than journeymen!

To compete and to progress in Europe we need a mixture of quality overseas Internationalists and the best young Scottish players, (some of who might already be at Rangers) .

I for one will be delighted if we sign Alves and another proven centre back since that is where a lot of our problems were this season. We also need a quality midfield and I am just hoping that Pedro can bring in some real class in that department since guys like Halliday and Holt will take us no where. Up front we need a younger player in the style of Miller and a top quality winger.

If rumours are correct and McKay goes then we will need two wingers.

So let's hope that there really is £13m available for an influx of quality to replace the wasters that Warburton signed.

21 May 2017 11:46:57
Ryan jack is a done deal, player wants to wait till after final before announcing.

21 May 2017 13:21:28
jack and paterson will be an upgrade on what we have and already established players in this league.

celtic signed armstrong and mackay steven and the fans thought it was a wrong one too but look at armstrong for them now even though macay steven never worked out it was still good business

im concerned if the transfer budget is true that it will be partly used to pay players off to leave? i could be wrong on that one and it might be kept seperate but it will eat a bit of money up if it does.

21 May 2017 13:29:25
I totally agree with Ronnie r9

21 May 2017 17:12:50
I reckon that Jack, Rossiter, if he can stay fit and two top quality attacking midfield players, one of them with a proven goalscoring record plus two new centre backs and the young lads that played today plus a winer to replace MCKAY, (assuming that he goes), the players that remain, (assuming that it is just Crooks, Windass and Holt), and our two full backs, (not Hodson), and the young lads and Miller, Krancjar and Wilson, and we will have a good enough squad to challenge the manky mob!

21 May 2017 18:13:22
Wow, that's really going to take the shine off our treble 😯

21 May 2017 18:17:24
Does patterson mean the end of tav then? No sure a guy coming back from a near career ending injury is a better option than him

21 May 2017 18:19:10
Jack and Patterson are 1 better than what we have and 2 makes good business sense. Both already wanted and imo will only get better! So sign up for 3-4 yrs and if we wanted sell in 2-3 for a total profit that could be in the region of £5m combined.
In the past we have got some decent players from these Clubs and what i'd give for another home signing like Davey Robertson!

21 May 2017 18:35:38
Celtic will win the SPL by another 30 points. Rangers will be lucky to finish 4th.

21 May 2017 23:10:11
celtic will probably win the league by 15+ but i expect rangers to finish 2nd

22 May 2017 11:41:01
look in trying to catch celtic one thing is true all we need to do is be consistantly better than the rest of the spl which all of the players we have been linked with will do except lafferty.
if we are better than the rest then the campaign for the spl will be down to the old firms and if bth teams are on a winning streak then those games can go either way but if we get better than the rest celtic won't be that far in front of us points wise if at all.

seasons like that don't happen twice in a row and celtic will slip up agianst 1- or two teams next year aswell as a couple of draws.

23 May 2017 15:23:56
put it this way yes the points gap was terrible this year and money wise there is no comparison but all they did was to sign three players and the drss we beat last year turned into the invincibles so who is to say we can't do the same with a few good signings!

people on here are sooo negative and can never see the glass as half full

21 May 2017 00:54:05
Ryan jack too undergo a medical according too need papers not a bad start too the Pedro revaluation

just hope he gets some players of a higher standard after this obviously that can only be done with the correct back from DK and the rest of the board

I do think Dave king is pulling out legs about all season ticket money going into the playing squad this could include covering all the current players wages for the season aswell depends how you read into and if you trust him or not I don't but I think I'm just holding a grudge due too the past chairmen.

21 May 2017 10:07:28
We will see whether King is talking bull or not with the players that we see arriving at Rangers in the next couple of months. If there genuinely is £13m in the kitty for players then we should see the arrival of some decent quality players to replace the trash that Warburton signed.

Only time will tell but there are players that Pedro is aware of that could arrive at Rangers so long as we are willing and able to spend £1.5m to £2m+ per player!

21 May 2017 10:14:24
Pedro has stated that as long as things go as they are with negotiations with players then things will be a lot different.

21 May 2017 18:12:05
Dave King did say all season ticket money will go to the playing squad, but he never said when and over how many windows. The guy speaks like a politician and of course he is saying it trying to max out season ticket sales. I honestly don't think he would hand PC £15 million to spend when we are looking at free transfers still. Wake up guys this is as good as its getting for a long time.

22 May 2017 11:25:27
I hope not.
Selling him for a million is disgraceful.

22 May 2017 12:30:05
may be that pedro wants 1-2 players that are game changers the same way that sinclaire was for them and needs more players in, so free transfers and a couple of players worth a few bob. i'm not saying how much but weiss is under contract for another couple of years so if we are going for him he will cost a couple of mill at least
