Deal with hearts for Souter, holt and 350,000!

23 Jan 2018 23:04:18
Lol What you been smoking? would never happen, maybe £1.5-2 million and Holt and Hearts would maybe think about it for Soutter

24 Jan 2018 00:19:37
Id Like That Wee Guy Who Ripped Celtic To Shreds

24 Jan 2018 01:03:50
Can i just bring your attention to my earlier post, where i asked if holt was leaving. Not such nonense now is it! Enquiries have been received for Holt. If you don't want to believe that then don't bother to reply.

24 Jan 2018 08:18:20
Stirling, u meaning Harry Cochrane?

24 Jan 2018 10:52:45
Would like to see Cochrane at ibrox looks great player in the making. Has a Ferguson like presence

24 Jan 2018 11:01:02
Hols better than halide give him to hearts

24 Jan 2018 11:29:56
Stirling harry Cochrane was with rangers as a boy and we let him go

23 Jan 2018 19:42:59
Reports danny wilson looking at going to the usa

23 Jan 2018 19:55:20
No truth whatsoever in report linking Danny Wilson with a move to the MLS. Remains in talks over a new deal.

23 Jan 2018 21:04:47
I think the papers are just raging we’re keeping our transfer business under wraps so they’re making up crap. Look at Morelos to Bristol for example, their scout game out and said it was a lot of nonsense

23 Jan 2018 20:47:11
On holiday in June

23 Jan 2018 22:00:52
Wouldn't bother me if he left I would rather take a small amount of money for him now than give him a new deal

23 Jan 2018 22:58:37
We should have had Danny and Bates signed up already surely. Wilson is quality so not getting your drift here Deanobear but hey it's opinions.

24 Jan 2018 00:12:37
Personally I think the two of them are gash I always try and defend my players pardon the punt but Wilson and Bates to me are never never rangers class!

Don’t give me we can’t afford the players we could growing up watching rangers in the 80s and 90s crap the 2 of them could leave and I honestly would not bat an eyelid!

Any way on to tommorow, so excited to see our team in action again!

24 Jan 2018 10:04:01
When a player is in contract negotiations, i. e. Wilson, Bates, Tav etc. their agents regularly leak false stories to the press to try and apply a bit of pressure to the offering club. Of course journalists will occasionally get something completely wrong but the fact is most of their incorrect stories come from sources with ulterior motives.

There is absolutely ZERO chance of Danny Wilson going to the MLS. We will offer him a new deal and he'll most likely stay.

23 Jan 2018 19:10:01
I am led to believe that tbe signing of Greg Docherty will be completed in tbe morning following tbe routine mecical -.

23 Jan 2018 19:54:49
Confirmed

We have tonight agreed a deal to sign Greg Docherty from Hamilton - Believed to be in the region of £600k plus sell on.

Greg is expected at Auchenhowie tomorrow morning to complete the deal

Whilst it is not Done, medical pending etc, everyone is hopeful this is it 🔴⚪️🔵

23 Jan 2018 20:11:34
How you know it's confirmed?

23 Jan 2018 20:18:54
Told you so and Jamie Barjonas will be going the other way on loan till the end of the season.

23 Jan 2018 20:19:29
Yeah confirmed where?

23 Jan 2018 20:41:20
To be fair though, would you take a massive pay cut to join a team that 99.9999% going to get relegated?

23 Jan 2018 21:29:59
Not heard anything about Barjonas
But yes I imagine there will be a few moving out for a spell

23 Jan 2018 21:35:51
Was meant to post that on the Alves isn't leaving thread

24 Jan 2018 07:31:39
Aye Dado. Barjonas keen to get game time and come back a better player. This is straight from the player.

24 Jan 2018 19:11:59
Seeker yes I think Barjonas is one for the near future.
Danny Wilson not in the squad
Shame but he's finished at Rangers now.

23 Jan 2018 18:17:47
Hearing that Bruno has knocked the move back due to money source from inside ibrox.

23 Jan 2018 19:41:04
Too well paid at ibrox money talks

23 Jan 2018 21:24:43
money driven players annoy me

23 Jan 2018 22:20:39
Nothing to report on Bruno presently

23 Jan 2018 23:15:45
Murty4Me they are all the same, just after the more money they can get, even the die hard players that play for the badge and club end up chasing the money, it really pi**es me off aswell, gone are the days of 1 Club players.

24 Jan 2018 12:46:01
difference between being money driven and looking to get paid what you feel your worth.

23 Jan 2018 15:14:52
What happened with the Docherty bid, I take it accies rejected it, anyone any info?

23 Jan 2018 15:43:25
We’re penny pinching and it’s embarrasing, that’s what’s happening with all our bids for players nowadays.

23 Jan 2018 15:59:25
Rick Witter - are you ever happy? You accuse us of penny pinching and yet were willing to drive morelos down to Bristol for £2 million when dembelle is going for stupid money and he's been gash this season.

23 Jan 2018 16:41:25
Apparently we’ve bid £500,000 for Docherty Hamilton want £600,000 suppose to be our top target pay them it we've not actually bought anybody this transfer window

23 Jan 2018 17:03:27
The days of our club being held to ransom for players from other Scottish clubs is over. Look where it got us in the past paying over the odds for them. We already prop these clubs up with our uptake of away tickets and this is proven by the fact that they have the bloody cheek to raise the ticket prices as well, to maximise the cash raised.

23 Jan 2018 17:14:11
He’s just trolling Stu. Either that or he has nothing better to do 😜

23 Jan 2018 17:30:15
Accies are just playing hard ball. come the end of January, Rangers will table 525,000 and that will get their man, watch this.

23 Jan 2018 18:13:03
But we are penny pinching and Morelos isn’t worth £2m. As a matter of fact, I’m happy with quite a few things. I’m happy with the signings we have made and happy that Pena has left and couple more hopefully as well. However I’m still not happy with the whole managerial situation, the way we went about our business trying to get our first choice manager and the whole director of football nonsense that is wasting what I suspect is a good wage with that sort of made up title. Scout maybe, not director of football. Apart from that I think we’ll win tomorrow.

23 Jan 2018 18:18:43
Does anyone think Docherty is actually worth £600000? What is it that he has done that makes him worth so much.

23 Jan 2018 18:42:55
Ok Rick we may be as you say penny pinching but that's surely better than wasting money we don't have? We used to give Celtic pelters for their biscuit tin mentality and look where that's got them. Morelos may not be worth £2m in your eyes but is Van Dijk worth £75m? Is Dembele worth £20m? It is crazy money down south and we should milk them for every penny we can get, while at the same time trying to pick up the best local talent for as little as possible. As for the DOF role there are plenty of successful clubs throughout Europe that employ that model and their specific remit will be different from club to club.

23 Jan 2018 19:16:13
4 lads had a dream on twitter stating Docherty having medical tomorrow deal apparently done

23 Jan 2018 19:44:49
Well put bigmarv. I think we are all sick of english clubs stealing scotlands best talent for pennies. I think rick just has to remember the good old days are gone for now so we need to be really shrewd in how much money we spend.

23 Jan 2018 20:31:42
Rick needs another trip to the witter he's full of it.

23 Jan 2018 14:26:03
Posted weeks ago about Holt going. now again i'm posting its really going to happen maybe a loan move.

{Ed033's Note - Yes, you did.
05 Jan 2018 14:45:53

Jason Holt supposedly going back to Hearts?

23 Jan 2018 15:52:39
Holt to hearts 500.000

23 Jan 2018 16:43:46
Right guys, as we all keep asking, what's the source for this?

23 Jan 2018 18:26:45
My. Source is from inside ibrox (my work) same as alves deal is not looking likely as he not accepting wages

23 Jan 2018 21:07:10
Is that £500.00 lol He’s full of work but just too lightweight for engine room, he won’t start when first XI is fit.

23 Jan 2018 21:27:13
Hearts they sold walker to Wigan for less than we offered them I wouldn't deal with them cut there nose off to spite there face

23 Jan 2018 21:54:40
If that’s the price then surely a swap deal for cochrane would be a better deal

24 Jan 2018 00:32:05
I'd pay Cochrane with 500,000 and Holt as that boy has magic feet

24 Jan 2018 10:10:37
Holt's a good squad player, did you see the state of our bench against Celtic? Even if we had a decent first 11 we had no strength in depth which looks like it's changing. Holt never let's the side down when he's asked to play. We should 100% keep him.

Especially if Jack's out for the season, Rossiter's made of chalk, McCrorie is out for the foreseeable and Dorrans has disappeared.

23 Jan 2018 14:25:19
Bruno Alves is staying.

23 Jan 2018 14:52:42
Great news.

23 Jan 2018 15:11:40
Great news my behind. keeping alves; over rated, over paid injury prone and player not suited by pace of scottish football.

23 Jan 2018 16:34:44
Why all the joy about Alves staying we have enough CBs he is over the hill we need to keep Baits he's young and will get better we need young players who will be with the club for a few years

23 Jan 2018 16:45:33
Over-rated? He plays for the European Champions - not a bad pedigree.

23 Jan 2018 19:37:40
Over rated? That's Wilson and bates not bruno

24 Jan 2018 00:33:27
We need the competition for places keep him he is slow but he is a smart defender

23 Jan 2018 06:37:50
I read this morning that Wigan are lining up a bid for Jordan rossiter. Any club would not bid for a player who has been out for so long unless they believed there was a good player there with a big profitable future for the club. I don't think we should sell him unless a big figure gets offered as in my opinion he will prove to be a class act ince these boggling issues go away and I for one hope they do.

23 Jan 2018 08:23:48
I agree that he may turn out to be a good player mate but we don’t have the resources now to be a rehab centre or a team that can have any passengers. Looks like the smart move is to trim away Hardie, Rossiter, Alves, Niko etc along with a few others. It’s sad and thanks for the effort lads but it’s a matter of club survival and health.

23 Jan 2018 08:24:05
A would just loan him out hopefully he can get over his injury problems

23 Jan 2018 08:27:26
Sadly I think rossiter is injury prone. I would sell him, and if its to be believed that he is on a big wage then in my opinion that wage could be better spent on a player that won't spend as long on the sidelines. Hope I'm wrong and he comes good but I just think he will be plagued throughout his career.

23 Jan 2018 09:07:12
Loan him - wigan pick up his wages (high apparently! ), with option to sell at end of season if he proves fit, then £5 mill.

23 Jan 2018 09:08:39
Either one of Rossiter or Alves off the wage bill will pay for lad from Hamilton.
go for it.

23 Jan 2018 09:13:49
When he signed we were getting a potentially £8m English Youth Captain with a big future.
Unfortunately injuries have hampered his progress over the past 18 months with only glimpses of his capabilities being displayed in a Rangers jersey.
I think we ended up paying £500k development fee and £10k wages for past 18 months totalling £2m with little return.
If we are offered £1m I would cut our losses and use that cash to pay for Docherty.
Rossiter might end up injury free tearing it up down south and he might not, he might also get another injury so sell him, and insert sell on fee and even buy back clause if possible.
A loan fee and his wages paid for 6 months might appeal as well then if he stays injury free we have him back if we need him

23 Jan 2018 09:25:28
Game of Thrones. You probably know my views about Hardie! I'm not necessarily disagreeing with what you say but surely Hardie has never been given a chance by any of the last three managers?

23 Jan 2018 09:56:36
Loan him or sell with buy back. Sounds like the right thing to do. See if he can stay fit and perform. Maybe plays a blinder and we get offered silly money. It's a nightmare with rossiter cause he's never had a run of games.

23 Jan 2018 10:29:49
it is ment to be a low bid for rossiter so do no think we will sell him and the way murty has talked about him before i do not think he will want to let him go

23 Jan 2018 11:35:45
Doiger Yes Hardie hasn’t been given a chance But if 3 managers don’t rate him What is the reason Football ability, Attitude or something else

23 Jan 2018 11:38:44
Penna on special fitness pedro says he will be great for club when fully fit aa scored lots from midfield when with rangers ha ha ha

23 Jan 2018 13:28:58
Could punt him but include a decent sell on % then at least we will get something decent back if he does go on to be an established EPL player

23 Jan 2018 15:39:15
Any money we can get for him is a bonus. i would even drive him to Wigan myself. Ability never in question but worse than Andy Carroll Michael Owen and Jack Wilshere combined for injuries. Only Prodan could beat his injury record. Time to off load this guy. Total failure and waste of a wage. How can you possibly be almost permanently injured for almost 2 years

23 Jan 2018 16:46:16
Can't see this boy ever being fit while under contract at Rangers. May well be the case that we need to just let him go. I'm sure if he could stay fit and get regular games, he would be worth a lot more - unfortunately, we don't have the resources or time in Glasgow to offer him the chance to get to that stage. A shame, but that is football.

23 Jan 2018 18:54:42
Nuts selling Rossiter absolute nuts the lads a class act, he's training with first team. I'd wait till summer because I think if we sold him we'd regret it.

24 Jan 2018 00:36:01
The boy will come good and make us good money just be patient and we do have the resources for his rehab ya maddy

23 Jan 2018 00:30:59
Just been informed that the Docherty deal is almost there but Accies are haggling hard over a sell-on clause now! I would seriously think twice before doing business with Scottish clubs again as they are all out to screw us.

23 Jan 2018 01:11:11
I’ve also heard this burnbank. Should be able to get it over the line by the weekend.

Tbh I wouldn’t tar Accies with the same brush as Hearts and Hibs etc. Accies survive literally almost week by week, they know it’s an inevitability that their best players will leave them for next to nothing, so I feel a sell on clause is only fair as these types of deals keep the club going.

23 Jan 2018 01:12:04
To be fair hamilton are entitled to 600k and a decent sell on percentage, docherty is a great prospect. I do agree hearts aberdeen and killie tried to take the piss, particularly when you seen how much walker and mclean were sold for. As for jones at killie, I think morgan at 300k to celtic is a better prospect than jones yet killie wanted a reported 1mil. I hope jones agent has told killie to pay the wages that reflect such a price tag. Given the choice, I bet mclean walker jones would rather have came to us. Anyway get docherty in.

23 Jan 2018 07:04:35
I don't believe how naive people on here are, Hamilton live on a week to week basis. Hello have you looked at our finances. Hamilton live within their means and if it wasn't for a Internet scam they would be cash rich for a club that size. They are only asking for what they think they deserve, after all according to reports we want £10m for Alfredo. We on here argue that good is a outstanding prospect but not willing to pay the going rate.

23 Jan 2018 12:24:24
Cash rich hahahahahahaha.

Right you are Mull, another belter from you.

23 Jan 2018 13:19:20
Also Mull, what exactly is your point? Look at our finances why? We are talking about Hamilton Accies, give it a rest.

23 Jan 2018 13:22:30
They got done for nearly a million that's rich for a Scottish club, but they are still going. What I'm trying to say if some one ripped us off for £40m could we carry on? (saying we are 40 times bigger) . They got ripped off and carried on no administration, while we can't put a couple of hundred grand down for good . We want it all on the never never, does that bring back any memories to people on here

23 Jan 2018 13:50:24
We got ripped 70m by Charles Green and Stockbridge and carried on, so yes. While we are on the subject, we carried on because Dave King and Co stepped in, the folk you're frequently greeting about.

23 Jan 2018 23:16:27
Right bear Mode give the break down of the £70m we got stole
Just find your arithmetic strange
We took in £20m in the share issue and about £20m each year in season books and sponsorship. We can say Green and Stockbridge were there 3 and a bit years between them. So at most we took in £80m minus the £70m in the swindle. So according to your arithmetic we got through 3and bit years on £10m. That's less than £3m a year and Ally and his team picked up £1.5m of that. Amazing how we run a football club with 50 plus players (first team, reserve and youth) paid the gas and lecky, rates oh and bought David Templeton for the best part of a million on less than a £1.5m a year. I wait your answer bear Mode

24 Jan 2018 02:41:59
Mull, you continue to argue with fans on here about finances, even when the post is unrelated to finances, you bring it up. Just like you did here. You are either a troll or obsessed with Rangers finances and praying for them to be poor.

I’m not going to argue with you, your post is sheer ramblings and I don’t even know where to begin. It’s literal fact that 70m was not accounted for on our books when we were run bt crooks.

You’ve told me and many other before to ‘look at Rangers accounts’. I have many times and there is nothing abnormal about them. Toodles 👋🏼

23 Jan 2018 00:23:56
Is Holt leaving?

23 Jan 2018 01:12:35
Right, here we go.

Where’s he meant to be going and where did you hear this.

23 Jan 2018 08:05:35
Heard nothing and seen nothing on this. Holt very good squad player. Really like the wee guy. Hope this is nonsense.

23 Jan 2018 10:24:59
Were would he go nobody is going to come in with a bid for him are they.

23 Jan 2018 12:02:50
This may come across as controversial lol. Since Dorrans injury spell I personally think Holt has come in and gave the team some much needed urgency as to when Dorrans and Jack in the midfield can at times be very pedestrian.

Appears to run around like a headless chicken, but he takes up the role Stuart McCall used to do breaking up play, covers every blade of grass. He has a great engine, wears his heart on his sleeve.

So for me Holt should be staying no matter what the rumours say and despite what some individuals on here also think.

23 Jan 2018 14:18:35
Where can he go? Rangerswant to offload another midfielder so they can bring in hyndman.

23 Jan 2018 23:53:10
I can't believe i'm agreeing with CHINA but Hearts are interested in Holt but especially after the walker treatment we recieved i would tell them where to go or say yeah a million or swap for Souttar or Cochraine or no deal.
