Just sharing a wee piece of info I have regarding wee jason holt. Was told that our director of football, mark allen, actually wanted to sell wee holty to fleeetwood town,
permanently. Stevie G didn't want to sell holt altogether and got his way by sending him out on a 1 year loan deal, to fleeetwood!
Gerrard i'm told quite likes holt and at this moment doesn't want to sell him altogether!
He's willing to wait and see how holt performs for fleetwood before making his final decision on him. The only way holt even went on loan in the first place, was because stevie G couldn't guarantee him a start in his midfield, at this moment in time. He did tell holt however that this could change when he's reviewed everything, at the end of his 1st season, as rangers manager! Must admit i like wee holty and always have done! The wee man's work rate is superb. He never stops chasing and running for a minute. He's an unsung hero for me!

Chasing and running about shows effort but as a footballer he was chronic, second touch was a tackle and passing was woeful, good luck to him at Fleetwood but he will never get in the Rangers team now, there is probably 7or 8 in front of him now for a midfield space

holt done a great job in the championship for us but SPL was a step too far i never once doubted his committment but ability wise he’s nowhere near what we need if we want to challenge for honours he goes to fleetwood with my best wishes but if i saw him in a rangers jersey again i would be dissappointed

I'm not doubting that you were told what you posted Coop. However it is nonsense, if Gerrard liked him as a player he would have taken him to Spain and assessed him there not send him out on loan for a season to a lower league.

That's not to say that I don't appreciate people posting rumours that they've heard and I will never attack anyone for doing so.

Just because you are told something doesn't mean its true or that there is some truth in it. Your source is obviously full of it. There is no way that holt has been sent to fleetwood to see how he performs before stevie G makes a decision on whether or no he is good enough for us. Absolute no truth in this. It doesn't even make sense. League one is well below the standard we require. Holt will never be good enough for us. that's why he is at fleetwood in league one😂👏

if that were true i'd be worried that SG thinks if a player performs for Fleetwood then he can do a job for us. not a high enough standard now and certainly not a year down the line when we should have progressed again. holt is a trier but not of the standard wee need

On the fence with this. I would like to see how he gets on under gerrard, but I'm not sure he will be in the first eleven. He has the potential to kick on but on the other hand he has never been consistent.

Armstrong away to Southampton for 7 million according to BBC sport. And our second top scorer with lots of assists is being priced at 1.5 to 3 million. If our board accept that they need to pack up and go.

Celtic apparently getting £7m for Armstrong when he only has a year left on his deal. We need to stop accepting whatever people are willingly offer us and play hard ball with any team that make approaches for any of our players. Especially teams down south who get ridiculous TV money through Sky and the rest

I agree perfect example is mcburnie, I can't see that he is any better than Morelos but you would need to spend 4 or 5 mill on him, they look for ridiculous amounts of money for average players but want to buy the same level of player from us for a fraction of the price. The issue with Morelos is that because it really struggled in the second part of the season his value went down but if he manages say 15 or something before Christmas then the value goes up. I definitely agree with those saying we should be looking in the Scandinavian countries and places like croatia, serbia etc they tend to be big physical and technically good players for more reasonable prices.

No wonder they laugh at us! Southend rangers and Jordy r right! If we want catch-up with Celtic and let's be honest we r far behind, then we need a board who will make these big decisions to get the max for these players, or sometimes even more than what they're worth. We can't just grab the first price offered. so aye, if they don't hold out for a proper valuation then they should go. and as for Morelos, form runs with confidence. two disasters for managers, young boy, new culture and league etc played a part. Head down after the old firm misses. sg will have the 'souness factor' and Gary Mac will put an arm round him and keep his head up. were on the right path boys!

with so few options up front and still questions over morelos staying windass won’t leave and definitely not for 1.5m

Think issue regarding Goldson health a dead issue. Rangers would not have bought in ignorance and he would have had full medical and check on area affected. It makes me laugh certain fans going to be watching his breathing and left arm after 80 mins.

I would sell Windass for £3m in a second. Hands down the most cowardly player I've ever seen play for Rangers. Zero heart or stomach for the fight whatsoever. Some folk in love with him because he scores a few goals, so did Pena and he was probably drunk half the time!

Windass has a terrible attitude and no interest in working for the team. Absolutely cannot stand him as a player. Also, he had one season of scoring goals, if they dry up next season he contributes absolutely nothing to the team and his sell-on value plummets. If someone offers £3m bite their hand off.
