Rangers fans have been nothing but brilliant since our troubles started, But please remember it was Clyde fc that voted to try get us banned from any league in Scotland. Thin we should boycott that game and let them know what they,re missing.
Whats people's thoughts

Believable105 Unbelievable107

Well why dont your team just go and give them a right good going over? Or are you a bit scared of ally producing another draw? James D

Agree1 Disagree1

At last a bluenose with sense - why follow follow to a club that wanted us dead and buried, no two ways about it. Now is our chance to prove we're not just all mouth about seeking revenge against our haters.

Agree2 Disagree2

Thought you never done walking away. Any chance you have to scream and shout and its lets boycott this and that.

Support your team and grow up If you had sold out every week when you were Rangers FC and not The Rangers then you may not be in the position you are in.

Agree3 Disagree2

I thought it was the mighty Albion rovers that wanted you dead and buried.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clyde did not vote rangers out time we grow up ascertain the facts and follow rangers you boycott if you like but broad wood will be a full house

Agree0 Disagree1

Why not boycott all the boycotts....col

Agree0 Disagree1

No - follow the team. If you want to protest, then do not buy anything when there.

Agree0 Disagree1

Boycotting Clyde serves no purpose other than to to give our detractors more amunition to throw at us. The best way to deal with Clyde voting against Rangers being allowed to play in any league is to go to their ground and beat them. We need to rise above the petty tit for tat nonsense and get on with winning promotion from SFL3. Nothing else matters. Get behind Rangers and stop whinging about other teams who don't matter one iota.

Lugarite

Agree0 Disagree1

Get to t he game and support the Bears.

Agree0 Disagree1

According to greens statement yesterday i think you could argue your one of the worst best supporters in the world dont threaten peoples lives ... fuzzy

Agree0 Disagree1

Yous are talking about boycotting broadwood while celtic are playing at nou camp,.,.kbarry

Agree1 Disagree1

People need to grow up. What good is boycotting an away ground? So the players are then suffering from no support from people all because of a stupid immature attitude towards another team?

Agree1 Disagree1

To the guy talking about playing at nou camp are you going to enjoy going to the nou camp and getting scudded come on if thats the best you got then i better see a doc cos am ****ting myself grow up why dont you. and no genuine rangers fan will boycott any stadium because we want to watch our team no matter where it is be it at broadwood or at the local park.

Agree0 Disagree2

Op,

why not just move on, does it really matter who voted against us. We are where we are. Lets just try and progress, forget all the petty boycott ideas.

Guys, it is time we understood that Clyde didn't object to Rangers attaining a place in the SFL per se. This whole Clyde being anti-Rangers thing is a fallacy which has been blown up into something it is not. There were two votes taken during the meeting. The first question voted on was whether rules were adequately in place to allow us entry into the SFL, not whether the clubs actually wanted us in the SFL or not. A yes vote meant the rules did allow our direct entry and a no vote meant the rules would have to be re-assessed and changed to allow us in.

The entire voting process wasn't about whether we were getting in or not, the SFA,SFL, and SPL boards had already decided we would be playing in the SFL come what may and the rules would be changed accordingly if necessary to accommodate us. It took place to establish whether the member clubs felt the rules were already in place or required modification prior to us officially, and legally, becoming an SFL member, with the second vote deciding which league we would be playing in.

Clyde voted no in terms of the rules not being in place already, as in their opinion they weren't, that is all. None of the club chairmen at the meeting, including Clyde's, had any say in whether we gained entry or not. They only had the power to decide which league we would end up in. The correct decision was finally made in my opinion and we are where we are.

Its time we gave these conspiracy theories and talk of boycotting all and sundry a rest and concentrated on what is important right now. Supporting our team through the most difficult period any one of us will have seen as a supporter of Rangers (and I have been attending games since the early eighties when things on the pitch weren't exactly great either).

We need to get behind the team and build new bridges, not burn them down behind us. This is especially true in a situation like this where accusations are being falsely levied at a club. Its time we all moved on.

Brian

Agree1 Disagree1

Ill tell u if that was us playing barca we would get slauterd anti football is what am watching right now

Agree1 Disagree0

Well who better than a rangers supporter to recognize anti football! Your club have been playing it for the last 20 years (at least)!

Agree0 Disagree0

When is this boycot p1sh going to end, take off the blue tinted specs and look at everything that has happend, its been brought on by the powers that be, lets just accept it and move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was it not frank rijkard who branded celtic an anti-football team before messi used it to describe us?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fact of the matter is,if Clyde voted Rangers out then they will be scared to play them.Go along and support the Gers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I will never go to an spl away game, i will never forget how they voted, clyde im not sure, but remember the poison still continues and fans still want more punishment handed out so sorry i will def be boycotting.

Hmmmmm smacks of double standards pally.......was it not the celtic support who wanted to boycott Kille as they abstained on the witch hunt vote against Rangers.

Yes, its perfectly ok for celtic to boycott anyone they want but if Rangers even speak about it we are the worst people on the planet!!

Agree0 Disagree1

To the post BRIAN

YOUR SPOT ON TIME TO REBUILD AND MOVE ON NOT BLAME !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Unbelievable. First you're saying the fans have been brilliant and then you're asking for the fans not to follow their team? Make your mind up. It sounds to me like the idiots who gave the original rangers a bad name are intent on doing the same to the new club.

There have been rumours of rangers selling the naming rights to Ibrox. Do any of you guys on here object to this? I don't have any issues with this, cos it will always be Ibrox to me. I think we should sell the rights an generate more income for the club. What do yall think?

Believable73 Unbelievable36

I agree. Couldn't care less if it is the KFC Arena or the Adidas Stadium on paper. I'll always be going to Ibrox. If it makes money that will benefit the club then bring it on

Agree0 Disagree0

Depends where the income goes

Rusty

Agree0 Disagree0

You could rename it the Quick Quid Stadium as that is all the Green Meanie is there for a quick quid from the fans when he floats the club on AIM.

Agree1 Disagree0

Happy for any superficial name change true fans will always call it Ibrox anyway.
But glad there are already buildings called Murrayfield and the White House I think these should be avoided!!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt object to this. I must admit i dont like the sound of the "sports direct arena" but something cool like Apple, Sony, Samsung, Technics, Bose I would prefer. Or a drink company..

Agree0 Disagree0

I totaly disagree with the change of name as it should remain ibrox stadium north ayrshire loyal w.a.t.p r.t.i.d

Agree0 Disagree1

Quite happy to change name if it brings in more money, it will always be ibrox to rangers fans anyway, always thought it would be good to get "apple" ( alastair johnson if your listening in america, you must have business contacts ) on board, then it could be callled i - brox !!

Agree1 Disagree0

All for it! Great if it became ORANGE stadium.

Agree0 Disagree0

It will always be ibrox to me if rangers get a decent fee for renaming it that's great I will be going to watch them at ibrox

Agree0 Disagree1

Call it what you want. Take the cash. Simples. Doubt if much will be raised anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte-Murray Home for bewildered business men, would be good.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt object to this. I must admit i dont like the sound of the "sports direct arena" but something cool like Apple, Sony, Samsung, Technics, Bose I would prefer. Or a drink company..

All good names bud - don't rule out TESCO tho *wink*

Agree0 Disagree0

Wot about the irn-bru stadium....
our father was a fa%#ys , our grandfathers were fan%#s and we'll be a bread of new generation fan#%s ha ha lol. larkhall William. w.a.t.p

Agree0 Disagree0

Since "apple" seems to be a popular connection, how about "Apple Crumble Park"?

Agree1 Disagree0

How about Buckfast Abbey

Agree1 Disagree0

Youll be lucky to get jess the butcher.

Agree0 Disagree0

"All for it! Great if it became ORANGE stadium."

Yeh you've been Tango'd yeh Fa%%y

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be quite happy for the renaming of the stadium as it wil generate needed funds for the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys i for one am dead against the renaming of the stadium. Let us not forget the dreadfull day in 1971 when 66 people did not return to theyre loved ones after attending IBROX. That dreadful day is part of our history and will always be known as the IBROX disaster, as such, in memory of these people we should preserve our history and the name associated with that unfortuate day. All of our history is what make us today, and IBROX is part of the very fabric that forms our history that we should be proud off, ( apart from those parasites that tried to extinguish us for theyre own monetry greed).
We have to content enough with people trying to erode and wipe out our history, let us not contribute to any of this by allowing any renaimng to happen, in the presute of a quick buck, todays quick buck is tomorrws hollow penny.
We should honour those poor souls who lost there lives at IBROX by ensureing the place, and its name is there forever more, as this was the place they went to follow their team , IBROX was its name and so it must remain. NEVER FORGET THE 66.

Who is going to spend any significant money on sponsoring a 4th tier team's asbestos ridden midden of stadium?

Use some common sense ffs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Asbestos abbey ..

Agree0 Disagree0

"Who is going to spend any significant money on sponsoring a 4th tier team's asbestos ridden midden of stadium?"
Sorry Timmy are you not aware that Ibrox Stadium is on the UEFA official 4/5* rating. Unlike lego land which does not feature.

Agree0 Disagree0

UEFA 5 star thingy hasnt existed since 2006. Fitting really.

Agree0 Disagree0

The poster regarding the 5* stadium. Your correct it has not existed since 2006. It was changed to Euro Elite Stadiums.

Also, 40,000 paying customers through the gates every other weekend, add to that the TV coverage of just a '4th tier team' live on Sky and ESPN to millions of viewers coupled with the media coverage.... quite a nice little PR and sponsorship opportunity for a large global brand to exploit if u ask me.
